The 13 Essential Restaurants in Denton

"This family owned and operated Mexican restaurant is a delight in the Golden Triangle Mall Food Court. It’s house-made corn tortillas are all over the menu, including the tacos, birria, huarache. And the Mexican comfort foods, from carne asada loaded fries to a mega-torta, will do an insatiable appetite right." - Courtney E. Smith

I love their freshly cooked made to order burritos ! There was a time when I got one nearly everyday, coming from across town to the mall because I just HAD to have one. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and always quick with their service. I’m absolutely ecstatic about their new location opening on McKinney Street and excited to enjoy their great quality food with a family dining experience. I’m rooting for their entire team and wish them well in their future endeavors! THIS is what a 15 dollar burrito looks like !!

Oh my goodness! This by far the best tacos I've had from a restaurant, let alone a restaurant in the flipping mall!!! Would recommend a small suggestion for more flavoring in the meat, but its still delicious! You could taste that the Tortillas were homemade and the salsa had perfect consistency, not watery at all, and spicy ratio was deliciously tolerable. Highly recommend 👌

WOW is all I can say about the amazing first impressions of this place. Service was so warm, humble and welcoming! I believe It should have multiple locations with nothing but the best cooks and chefs! I hope a food critic sees Boka Feliz. I am from Milwaukee, JUST tried/had their Mexican Shrimp cocktail, and was absolutely blown away! The presentation was so pretty but when I tasted it, my tastebuds had a fiesta! The presentation invited me in with it’s placement, beautiful colors and it was so flavorful. The perfect balance Sweet, well-seasoned, and acidity flavors, blending extremely well. AMAZING! GIVE THIS PLACE MORE ATTENTION PEOPLE!🥂🪅🇲🇽

Super great tasting food here! We ordered as much as possible to get a sampling of the menu, and all of us LOVED the food! I think the Torta stole the show for me, I am definitely ording that for myself next time, I had pastor/beef ribs/ barbacoa tacos, all of which were amazing! Can't wait to go again, finally some amazing food in the most unassuming place...the Mall! Easy parking and tons of seating. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

I've been here a few times for lunch and the tacos are decent and priced fairly. I've eaten the al pastor, shrimp, and carne asada tacos. The al pastor tacos is pretty good and well flavored. The beef taco was good as well and cooked well. The shrimp tacos was cooked perfectly but could have had more seasoning but the accompanying salsa and lettuce and tomatos help compensate for the lack of flavored. This restaurant is a take out only setup where you get a buzzer. The service is good and they make the tacos in about 10 minutes or later. I would definitely give a try it. It won't be the best tacos you ever had but they're decent. I wish it had more flavor and the more consistent for example one time they forgot the pineapples on my Al pastor tacos. However I would still come back for lunch due to decent tacos, price and fast they cook them

Went back for a 2nd visit (12/13), and the tortillas are so great. Super consistent there. The barbacoa was still excellent. I’m the second trip, I feel like I got larger portions of meat in the tacos. So getting 4 was definitely more than I needed but enjoyed them all. At $2.89 a taco (minus the shrimp which was understandably more), def a good deal. Enjoyed them all, but barbacoa was the standout. Also tried the Al pastor (not from a trompo), carne asada and queso shrimp tacos. 1st visit (12/9): Really impressed! Had heard good things and finally made it over. I just never go to the golden triangle mall where it’s located inside but glad I finally did! The tortillas are handmade and excellent. It’s right next to the play area so lots of kids running around but it is a mall! Nonetheless , the tacos were fantastic. I asked for recommendations and she first said the quesabirria. I’ve never been a huge fan of those. I like them but don’t love them, I’d rather have just regular tacos but she recommended them so I wanted to try them out and thought they were actually quite good. The consumé we good too, I enjoyed the one here more than some others I’ve tried. At $13 for 3 quesabirria tacos with consumé … it’s a good price for what you get, was very filling. The salsas were good too! But I couldn’t just get that, I wanted to try a “regular” taco for lack of a better word. She recommended the barbacoa and the shrimp. I got the barbacoa bc the shrimp came with cheese as well and I knew I was going to get my fill of cheese in the others (but def want to try that another time). One bite of the barbacoa and I was sold. So juicy, tender…really great. They’ve got a cute set up in their booth. Drinks as well (Mexican coke in the glass bottle and a few others). Easy to find, right inside by the entrance to the left of H&M Highly recommend!

Ordered the al pastor huarache 3.5 hrs ago, and it was good, but my stomach hasn’t stopped hurting. It literally started hurting right as I finished it. Wouldn’t recommend ordering that dish, but with all the good reviews I’d be willing to try this place again

I ordered the Carne Asada Taco Plate. The tacos were flavorful, and the salsa was the right amount of spicy. The hibiscus drink had the right amount of sugar for sweetness and not overpowering in sugar. There was a slight wait, and I was given a buzzer for pickup notification. The wait time was on par to order anywhere else. The mall dining area has been slimed down since 2020, so seating might be limited on a busy day to enjoy this great meal. Paid slightly more than expected but was tasty.
