First time and happy to say that wasn't disappointed! Waiter was very attentive and had lots of patience for when I needed to decide. Food was lovely, everything was lovely! Deffo need to come back. Oh and the matcha dessert was heavenly🙏🏽🥰

Everything we had was delicious, served by a warm, unpretentious team. The roast chicken, the pickles, the tofu, the salad, all were amazing. The desserts were not bad but disappointing by comparison to everything else. We were sat in the basement but it did not feel too claustrophobic. I question the safety of the basement seating (eg lack of fire escape as access is past the open kitchen) but worth it for the food! Next time, I would request a table upstairs.

The most amazing food! I haven’t been this impressed with a meal in a long time. The waiters recommendations were all 100% on point. The chicken was sensational, the short rib was moorish and the stuffed chillies were the cherry on top. Shoutout to the desserts too, we had ice cream with honey butter chips which tased nostalgic and delicious. Amazing food, service and ambiance. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Had a very delicious dinner at Bokman. It's a small restaurant/bistro sort of place, small menu, quick service. They have a great drinks menu to start you off, and a handful of starter/main/side options, so shouldn't take too long to decide what to have! Since it was our first visit - we went for the recommended Tongdak chicken. And it was amazingly well done, soft and juicy chicken stuffed with sticky rice, served with some condiments. The salad was another favourite of ours, just delicious veggies and seaweed, dressed in peanuts. All the food was really great, came out quickly. I can see why this place is so beloved by the locals.

The tongdak was worth the trip! Pairs so well with the honey mustard dip, the picked radish was pleasantly fresh and a great palate cleanser. The cherry sakura soft serve tastes of really bold cherry flavours and I preferred the light and fluffy matcha tiramisu. Highly recommend place for a meal close to Bristol City Centre!

We had dinner here for the first time this week, after having read a newspaper review online. What a wonderful place! It is very small, slightly off the main road and we wouldn't have looked twice if hadn't have known about it. You need to book, we booked weeks ago and the latest we could get was 5pm. The menu is on the blackboard, the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. The tempura stuffed chillies were great (very spicy!), and the stuffed whole chicken was wonderful. We ordered it with the sides to make lettuce wraps with different sauces, it was extremely tasty. There aren't many options for puddings, just soft serve ice cream with different toppings - but the honey butter crisp topping is just wonderful! We will definitely come back here next time we are in Bristol.

We had a great meal here, it was already super busy when we booked early in the week for Friday night. We shared all of our dishes, we thoroughly enjoyed the mixed pickles which I think was the star of the show. The stuffed peppers were amazing too. We had big plates, stuffed chicken which was nice and the beef stew which had wonderfully cooked beef and amazing oyster mushrooms. The desserts were amazing too. Selection of drinks was good, it felt like good value for a great meal.
