Bokun Guesthouse

We had a wonderful stay at the Bokun Guesthouse, Very quirky , very friendly, very clean and very comfortable. |The gardens are amazing the pool area just right, breakfast is plentiful, and nice to chat with the other guests or just do your own thing nobody minds. |The location couldn't be any better for visiting the old town or walking round the marina. |There is a bus service but they get absolutely rammed at peak times so we used Uber which is quick and reliable and about 9E to the old town. The Guest house is literally surrounded by bars restaurants and eatery's all offering decent fayre.|Highlight of the holiday was the island boat trip Which Tony's friend Miho runs , absolutely brilliant. |Would definitely return one day.

This is one of those places that you'll never find. Tucked away behind the main house which fronts the harbour, this is the old stables and servants quarters. A veritable oasis - you could easily spend time just lounging in the gardens or by the pool but that would be to miss out on Dubrovnik. And this is an excellent base - far enough from the madding crowds of the old town but close enough so a 5 min bus ride gets you there. Plus the restaurants and bars around here are rather good. Anyway, the guesthouse. Our room was clean and comfortable - a v minor gripe was a chest of drawers would have come in handy. And am bound to say the ensuite would be a squeeze for those of a substantial build. But minor points. Breakfast is accompanied by whatever fruit is in season and is jolly good, but sad to say that despite appearances, the kiwi that overhangs the outside dining area is only ripe come November (when the guesthouse is closed). Couldn't fault Tony the host or Magda (housekeeper) for their welcome or help. And the acid test - would I recommend or stay again? A resounding yes.

I stayed here alone, my friends stayed up the street. Bokun guesthouse was amazing, it gives the feel of a quaint and curated bed and breakfast and the owner greets you as if you've known him for years. The gardens around the rooms are beautiful with pomegranate trees and blooming flowers. A cute little, pool. It was perfect for my 3 night stay. If you’re looking to feel welcomed, I highly suggest.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bokun Guesthouse. It is situated in a beautiful walled garden, a little oasis near Gruz harbour! Toni the owner and the housekeeper were very friendly and helpful. We loved sitting outside for breakfast eating the freshly picked fruit and planning our day. The swimming pool was lovely, great for a swim after a long day out exploring! |I will definitely recommend this gorgeous accommodation to our friends and family. Thank you xx

Behind the gate and walls is a secret garden which surrounds the property. This lovely family run guest house definitely had the homely feeling. The sun shines on the pool from morning to early evening. The guest house is very quiet and relaxing. Our apartment had a spacious bedroom, living/kitchen and separate bathroom. The housekeeper kept on top of everything and was lovely and bubbly and always had time for a quick chat! The breakfast was both hot and cold foods & drinks and was plentiful. The pool cocktail bar was open from 11am to 3pm. Tony is always there to offer advise on places to eat and visit. Whilst a 5 min bus ride from the old town which is a must, the harbour is a 30 second walk with lots of eateries. There are plenty of trips to go on so you can get out and about. The guest house is perfectly situated for access to all areas. Dubrovnik has monster mosquitos, don't forget to take your Deet repellent- some treatments are only available via Drs prescription so far cheaper to take your own - be prepared!

This is the cutest, little, family run guesthouse ever.|We were greeted + waved off by Tony + his family.|Very intimate + personal. |They recommended great places to eat + visit. Nothing was too much trouble for them.|We felt totally at home there away from the hustle + bustle of the old town.|Loved our time in The Bokun Guesthouse + would happily go again + again + again.|Thanks you so much for everything - Lee + Jo.

What a hidden gem this place is, the walk up to the gates gives nothing away from what lies beyond them. The pathways are lined with beautiful flowers, homegrown tomatoes and aubergines grow in the veg patch. Above the seating area are vines and kiwis. Lemon and fruit trees are in the gardens.| The pool is lovely and quiet but very friendly, people are happy to chat and share their travel experiences with you. |Tony, Rose and Magdalena are the friendliest of hosts you could want, Tony always says if you need anything just ask. . Always something to eat at breakfast a selection of continental and cooked breakfast, whether that be scrambled, hard boiled or soft boiled eggs, sausage, bacon and lovely fresh fruit etc plus juices, coffee and tea.|Cocktails served from 11 whilst 3 they are so cheap too. 5.50 euros! They definitely pack a punch! All served by their lovely son. ||Perfect location to tour surrounding areas. 25 min walk to the old town or a 5 min bus ride. |All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday with the most perfect hosts.

Really enjoyed our stay, good location, great gardens, nice pool just like the photos. Toni very helpful as others have said. He booked our transfer from the airport which was much appreciated, as can be a little tricky to find the entrance first time. Good value for Dubrovnik also, it has it's own website and you can book directly through that. Can't fault it.
