Such a fun, cute little bookstore! We came to see Eric Adjepong and Korsha Wilson promote their book, Ghana to the World and had a blast (moderated by the always fun Carla Hall). A great place for foodies to stop and browse.

This bookshop is so cute! I love cookbooks and the fact that this shop is all about them is such a clever idea. I went for a book event and had the best time. Unfortunately, it's kind of far for me, so I'll probably only go for special occasions

Lovely book shop focused on food-related books. The cookbook selection is amazing. Staff is super friendly. Their events are great, I joined a bake club recently and the atmosphere was super nice.

Google
Hands down my favorite place in DC. Not only is this a store where you can get cook books, food related books and magazines, kitchen and dining equipment, plus other fun stuff, it’s a whole community! Bold Fork puts together great events from book clubs to author signings to cocktail nights. Highly recommend all even if you have no idea who the featured speaker or topic is! The Bold Fork team is friendly and helpful. Support this amazing local shop!

Yelp
Bold Fork Books is a delightful bookstore that specializes in cookbooks and food-related books and gifts. As a food and book lover, I felt like a kid in a candy store! The cozy store offers a wide range of cookbooks that provide instruction on how to create just about every cuisine and baked good you could think of. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend checking out this unique bookstore then next time you're in DC!

Yelp
Bold Fork is such an absolute gem- it's a bookstore dedicated to cookbooks and food/beverage books. They manage to pack an incredible collection into the space they have, from new releases to classics, spanning from the most niche topics to broader guides. Their inventory is diverse and wide-ranging, and the staff here are all so cool and friendly and have really great suggestions. Where they really shine, though, is cultivating a community as well- they are constantly bringing in authors for events and engaging community figures in discussion with these authors. Their events are so cozy and intimate and really fun. They even have a book club and a cookbook club! I've found so many great new favorites from stopping in here.

Yelp
Cute book store that specializes in cook books and books about food! I really liked the selection of kids picture books. Friendly staff. LGBTQ friendly and accessible friendly. There is a small ramp to enter w/ a pull door but the space is tight.

Yelp
Customer service is lacking here. We were invited in the store by another employee at the door and then, another employee barked at us to leave the store because it was not open. We left but good customer service would have been to say: we open in 8 minutes or at noon. We were in the store at 11:52 am. Obviously you are having a bad day and it shows.

Yelp
A wonderful, niche little bookstore with the most helpful staff! Went on Independent Bookstore Day and one of their staff members, Clementine, was so helpful! My partner and I wanted to find the perfect cookbook for our tiny apartment and she delivered! She asked questions and took her time and it was incredible!

Yelp
A great cookbook store with a diverse cookbook selection for many cultures and every dietary need. I've also gone to some great events here and the staff is extremely helpful in finding whatever cookbook you need!

Yelp
Initially I was crushed that the café at this location, Pear Plum, had closed--but I was so happy to see a cute little bookstore take its place. Bold Fork Books is a small, one-room shop that sells exclusively cookbooks and books on food writing. Hopefully they can survive the pandemic and stick around. It's nice to have a bookstore in the neighborhood! The staff is very friendly and helpful, but also unobtrusive and will let you browse (which is key in a bookstore, if you ask me). The selection is pretty expansive for how small the shop is, with sections for different cuisines from around the world, and different diets like vegan and vegetarian. They've also got a baking section, and one with books about wine. I've already bought a couple holiday gifts here--It's only been open for a month or so and already I've been twice!

Yelp
Adorable independent book store dedicated to food and cookbooks. I went for an author signing and the presentation was fabulous. I met someone in line who participates in Cookbook Club which sounded like a great idea.

Yelp
I moved out of the neighborhood years ago but do visit every couple of months. I was surprised to see the cafe had gone, however always pleasant to see a book shop anywhere these days! Whole small in space the shop manages to feel spacious and really houses a lovely variety of reads. Staff are friendly and helpful and there is a very lovely, calm vibe. I picked up a sweet new item for Baby Rock Star. Looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
Loved this new store focused on books related to food. It had a great selection of cookbooks and I'm excited to see that they're doing events for book releases as well.

Yelp
To anyone who loves cookbooks: there are so few really good bookstores in the country that specialize only in cookbooks - this place delivers and will make a junkie out of you! I've been collecting (775 now) for a couple decades now and thought I'd seen everthing .. BFB had a bunch of surprises! There's even a really good section for young cooks. I can't wait to go back!! I now need more bookcases (and a 12-step program)

Yelp
Calling all foodies! Bold Fork Books is an awesome shop in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood that exclusively sells cookbooks and food writing. It's a really unique concept, and the store is such a pleasure to browse. The owner curates a collection of high quality cookware and bar tools, so if you're in the market for a professional-grade citrus juicer or particularly nice whiskey carafe, this is your place. Definitely worth coming by if you love cooking or need a gift for someone who does.

Yelp
This spot is an absolute treasure! They have a great selection of cookbooks, books about food (chef memoir/essay collections/etc), children's books, and more. It's a bright and sunny little shop that I could have spent hours in, but limited my time because of the 'rona. That didn't stop me from dropping some serious coin though! I really appreciate a place where I can thumb through a cookbook before I decide to buy--I need to know how many pictures it has, for example, and that's just not something you get from an online buying experience. The staff were friendly and helpful--knowing immediately the cookbook my friend was trying to locate and helping her to physically get a book from a high shelf. They're limiting people inside, which is great, and have hand sanitizer on offer right at the front door. If you like to cook, you HAVE to check out this spot.

Yelp
This is an adorable bookstore with a wide yet well-chosen selection of cookbooks and food writing: everything from memoirs to wine and beer guides to cookbooks on any type of food you might want to make. I'm more of a baker than a cook, and their baking books were right up my alley. Be sure to check out the discount cart right inside the door for 30 percent off books - you might find some treasures!
