First of all: you may decide if it's my fault for booking trough a discount site. They put us in a side building, not in one of the main ones, because this would probably be too expensive. Later we found out that besides the following cons, we should be happy. We could've and (according to the discount site) should've been put in the "landhaus" which seems to be a fancy word for a building that looks like student housing on a budget from the outside. The following applies to the side building on the main terrain we stayed at. It might seem like I'm nitpicking at every little thing, but that's not surprising since we got off on such a wrong foot.
cons:
- there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. The fan that's in the closet, for you to put in the room, does NOT WORK. Would be nice to know this beforehand in 35+ degrees celsius weather, because I overheat quickly. When we made a complaint, they couldn't find a working fan (shouldn't be too hard to make a trip to the store in my opinion) and offered us the room below us, with no AC or fan either.
-The same room is not wheelchair or suitcase friendly, you have to go up a flight of bending stairs. The front desk employee did not tell us this, nor did they tell us that the room can be reached from the OUTSIDE of the building. We walked through the entire building for nothing.
- Paint on the window frames is chipping.
- Very tight shower.
- The toilet can only be flushed when you put down the toilet lid, the button is put too low?
- No outlets near the bed so no possibility to charge your phone nearby.
- No kettle/coffee machine in the room.

- Not every light has a seperate switch.
- Guests sit on the grass outside the room, very nearby.
The following cons could apply to any guest, even in the expensive rooms.
-We could not check in at the time we were supposed to, but an hour later. The employee told us this was due to housekeeping being very busy and our room being located at the end. They could've known this beforehand though. We weren't offered any compensation, not even a free drink or something.
- We had to ask for our welcome drink and for the complimentary pastries on the second day. The pastries were all out on the third day, nobody told us what time they were served either. The only person who deserves a raise is the blonde waiter in the Cafe who offered us a coffee/juice instead to compensate.
-The swimming pool is too small for the amount of guests in the peak hours , so is the amount of sunbeds. People lay down in the morning and stay there all day, which means you can't get a spot when you want to in the afternoon.
-The ramp to the reception feels very steep to be wheelchair accessible.
- Not many parking spaces, there is a chance you'll have to park in the street, a few minutes away.
- Inconsequent service in the restaurant: one day you'll get a drinks menu, one day you won't. The same goes for icecubes in your drink, dessertspoons or if the screens in front of the windows are shut (open = wasps inside).
Pro's:
- Nice looking interior in the lobby and hallways.
- Daily vouchers for one free pastry per person.
- One free bottle of water in the room.
- with half board: good food in a three course concept, menu varies daily. This was the highlight of the hotel.
- wide array of breakfast items.
- enough channels on the tv.
Concluding I WILL NOT COME AGAIN.
