Hermannshof

"This is the second restaurant of the tasteful BollAnts Spa im Park hotel. Like the first, it has a fine vaulted ceiling and an exceptionally beautiful interior done out in an attractive vintage look. The terrace in the courtyard is also inviting. Mediterranean cuisine with regional influences is served in two set menus that change daily and with courses that can be mixed and matched." - Michelin Inspector

Jungborn

"Quality is the watchword in the imposing BollAnts hotel complex, and the Jungborn certainly doesn't let the side down: it boasts an elegant interior with its wonderful sandstone barrel vaulted ceiling, and promises cordial service and excellent cuisine by Philipp Helzle. His cooking style is aptly described as "modern classic". This is pleasingly pared-back cuisine that builds on French foundations and draws on the occasional international influence. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. Staff will gladly recommend wines from the region to accompany the two set menus. Incidentally, the name "Jungborn" refers to BollAnts's original incarnation as Felke-Jungborn Kurhaus Dhonau and is a nod to the hotel's healthy-living ethos." - Michelin Inspector

We family of 4 went for a Time out Spa. We recently had the most rejuvenating experience at Bollants Spa im Park. From the moment we walked in, the serene atmosphere whisked away all our stress. The staff greeted us warmly, ensuring every detail of our visit was perfect. The Spa were heavenly, leaving us feeling utterly pampered and refreshed. We love everything about this place, from pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi, relax room, everything. We highly recommend this spa to anyone in need of relaxation and self-care. It is also a child friendly, we went with 9 and 5yo boys and they had a blast as well. Family Nordmann

service to be in general more friendly , because you expect more attention may be smiling more to the customers would be already a good thing .. the outside pool is very nice , perfect for an early swim .. the SpA is ok , people a bit too loud .. not so relaxing if busy .. massage are professional . Restaurant is good and actually friendly staff .

Stayed here with peers for view days. Location great, ambience very nice. Wonderful gardens. Supposingly nice pool area and spa. But no time for that. The workshop room in the old building was charming though. Breakfast was impeccable. Lunch and Dinner was buffet type due to the size of our group and ok‘isch, a la carte supposed to be much better.

We have been a weekend as a couple . Gastronomie , Bar , is nice with friendly service .Atmosphere and environment too .with a nice outdoor pool .|Problem is reception , no smile at arrival , not really friendly so you dont get a professional impression .. |We tried to call during three days in a row to book massages before we arrived without any success to reach anyone .. so we had no chance to get what we wanted because of it was fully booked .. |Also i tried to make some more reservations by email .. still waiting for an answer after three days .. |The reception teams are not reliable enough or need customer relation training , in order to fit to this category of SPA hotel .|

Appropriate that, upon our request, they allowed us to switch to another room not directly above the noisy glass recycling bin and logistical delivery and drop-off point, and that didn’t have a noisy leaky spout from rain drainage. The second room and rest of our stay were wonderful.

Several times I was there in the hotel as a day gast. Used to relax in the beautiful garden in a beauty surrounding and making use of the wonderful pool to cool down. After such a day or half a day I feel really relax. The service of the people in the hotel is good and they are friendly to help you if you need something.

Booking advertises place as dog friendly. After booking, I received a mail that dogs are only allowed in one type of room, which booking is not offering and which is more than double the price. They did not pick up the reception phone for 2,5 weeks! Left messges, never called back….;-(

Review as a day spa guest: it was ok. Pros: admission comes with a very nice robe (with pockets!) and unlimited very large nice towels. You get your robe and towel in a tote bag along with slippers, which was a nice touch. There’s a lot of saunas. The outdoor pools are pretty. The relaxation rooms were great! Getting to sit in a plush chaise lounge in a quiet room with a fire and read wrapped up in a bathrobe and a blanket was wonderful. There were lots of books available if you forget to bring something. Cons: the arrangement of the place is a little confusing- I had trouble finding check in, and later looked at their website to find a map, because when I’d asked for one I was shown one painted on a wall. Helpful, but less so when I was two flights of stairs away from it. I later saw a paper one, I don’t know why they don’t give them to everyone. There were great little touches, but then something would be off- free herbal tea, but then they’ve run out of the complimentary dried fruit next to it by noon. Gorgeous outdoor pool, but then the drain around the edge is kind of dingy plastic. Also, the hotel lobby turned out to have many flavors of tea, but the spa only had one? My major complaint is that the outdoor pool on the roof was a little too cold to be comfortable. If it had been a few degrees warmer I’d have happily stayed in it all day, enjoying the view. But I had to get out because it was only luke warm, and it was cold out. I think if I’d been able to book for an overnight (there aren’t any single rooms available) and enjoy the whole experience and the apparently great food, or had come in the summer when I could have lazed around in the lawn (the chairs looked great!) and had a drink I’d have had a great time. Or maybe even if I was into saunas- I think there were five. But I’m more of a pool person, and the pools just weren’t warm enough for lounging around in. I left after a few hours because I felt like I’d run out of stuff to do. I don’t regret visiting, but I’m not in a hurry to return.
