They have rebranded to Smagløs Kødbten featuring fusion Indian-Italian cuisine. We enjoyed the pasta with Indian flavours, including the Bollyfood butter chicken. Waitstaff could still use some training, but service was quick. (Update: one of us had food poisoning from the tandoori chicken burger. Taking off a few ⭐️)

180 kroner for Butter Chicken, tiny portion, mostly rice with 5 small pieces chicken, and a small amount of dry curry. I used to live nearby, and before you would get more food, and better in the 90,- lunch offer. This means you now get about 3 times less for your money - tasted ok, almost considered 2 stars.

Great Indian restaurant to warm up on a cold winters night. The food was delicious with just the right amount of spice for us! The customer service was excellent and the decor of the restaurant was very cute and cosy. I loved looking at all the photographs on the wall!

Looking at the photos, the food seemed delicious so we went here. However some of the dishes could have been improved a lot. This restaurant lacked the flavors of real Indian food. Also the service of the staff needs to be a lot better. Although restaurant was not even close to its full capacity we were not approached by any of the waiters a single time.

Ordered butter chicken via Wolt today - there they call themselves "Smagløs! Kødbyen" now. And the name is telling. It is in fact without taste. The butter chicken from Bollywood used to be amazing, with a sauce that's hard to get to the same taste and consistency - but whatever I received today was FAR from that. Honestly, I had butter chicken from Netto that tasted the same. And the smell is really off: too much cumin. Båh, won't order there ever again

The vegan dishes are fantastic with great flavour. Meat dishes lacks a bit. The atmosphere is great and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Loved the atmosphere and the super friendly people that were really helpful, tending to all our wishes. Didn’t fall in love with the food (and I’m a serious Indian cuisine follower) but I do have to say that this is the first time I had a mint dip SO spicy (it’s usually meant to balance the spices) and I really enjoyed it. Rest dishes were a little too generous in oil which made them unnecessarily greasy (for my taste).

Small Indian style restaurant - staff were very friendly- the chef came out to have a chat and let me know what vegetarian options were available. Food was okay but not as good as UK Indian restaurants. The variety and the flavours aren't available easily in Denmark. Other than that it seems pretty popular.

Yelp
We eat Indian food frequently & we have tried it in many different countries. The food tasted below average & the service was horrendous. We were served by an Afghan or Asian gentleman who ignored us for 2 hours waiting for our entrees. At some point we wanted to walk out because he was serving other people who came after us. They had their food & left & we were still waiting for our food. The portions were small & very expensive for what they give you. None of four of us recommend this place.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place after having wine at Malbek and searching for the meat market area. This is the place!! Nice outside patio where you can relax on carpet lounge chairs and blankets when sun goes down. The drinks are amazing and the food delicious!! Ate the 229 krone pp culinary sampler. Perfect atmosphere and staff really friendly :)

Yelp
Are you an Indian food lover? Then come to Bollyfood. Apart from the special interior which makes you travel with your mind to another place in the world, the food is descent and on the cheap end. So definitely one of those win win situations! I ordered the chicken masala which was good but slightly too spicy for me.. I generally like spicy food but in this case I thought it was a bit too much. So if you prefer something more mild you should try for example the chicken makhni. The portion was large enough to get you filled and the food came out literally in under 10 minutes. It came out in a paper box like in other fast food places. I would have preferred though that they serve it on a plate for people staying in to eat. And give you normal cutlery and not just wooden disposable ones. This would give a more official feeling to the lunch/dinner. The place was quite empty, I guess it was because it is a new concept and people don't know about it yet. But I loved the interior. Many colours, lots of pillows and carpets used for covering the seats. The service was nice, fast and friendly. I would come back if I would get Indian food cravings here. Especially the interior is what makes you wanna come back to feel you re somewhere else in the world!

Yelp
Super bad service, they cancelled out order made a day before 30 minutes before scheduled delivery at 3 pm 31st December.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere! Great Indian food at the meat packing district. I love the colorful decor of the restaurant, and the food was really good. They also make delicious lassis with different flavors, I tried a raspberry one and it was very nice with the food. If you're not into too spicy food, it is best to ask the staff to point you to a milder dish as it is not explicitly mentioned in the menu. The portions are quite big, but luckily the food tastes great even out of a doggy bag later.

Yelp
Extremely rude service and bad attitude from the waitress. Oct 26th. 6 people wanted to sit together, and there was very few customers in the shop. We wanted to sit in the corner, and move two tables together. Tables could seat 4. The vibe is very casual at the restaurant, so would be appropriate. We wanted to celebrate the birth of our baby, but were denied several times. We left in protest, and the waitress didn't care. Never coming back.

Yelp
as much as i enjoyed my butter chicken and the samosas and my strawberry & mint lassi...it was all kinda bland and flavorless in comparison to the indian food i have had in the past. the chickpea chaat was also not very good at all. the place itself is aesthetically very cute though. the service is virtually non-existent. it was almost impossible to get our waitress' attention AND we had to pay 15 usd (75 dk) for TAP WATER?? on what planet is that ok??

Yelp
Looking for a quick bite to eat we went looking around the meatpacking district (Kodbyen). Since one of us needed a vegetarian option it basically came down to the salad bar and this Indian place. After a brief review of the menu we decided to go for Indian with the daal as the veggie alternative. We did not have much time and asked if the service would be quick. It was confirmed that this would be the case if we ordered from the take away menu which we proceeded to do. There was some confusion as to whether we would be allowed to eat our take away food on the seating outside. When we got the food and politely asked if we could sit for a while to eat it we were ushered off to the park benches nearby. Could have been handed a bit more smoothly, and it's still unclear to me exactly what the reasoning was. The food was delicious however. Each dish came in a white cardboard box and had rice included. Daal, Lamb Korma and Butter Chicken was to everyone's taste. Highly e recommended, at least for take away.

Yelp
My first Indian food experience in Copenhagen! I was initially a bit skeptical because no one working at the restaurant was Indian, but the food, decor, and service were all impeccable! We got cocktails, chickpea salad, and butter chicken. When they served the food it didn't seem like a lot but the two of us left extremely full and everything tastes fantastic. My friend, who's from India, said the food tasted authentic. Such a cute place with a Danish twist, with the dim lighting and hyggeligt candles. Would be a good place for date night as well. It's less than a 10 minute walk from the s train.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible. Food was top notch and service was incredible. However the shining star was the drink menu and it's curator. I can safely say I have never had a more enjoyable and exciting cocktail experience.

Yelp
Great place in the meatpacking! If you want some spicy Indian food, come here! We went for the big sampler plate and they start giving you a plate full of appetizers which were so great with this super spicy potato salad, and then the sampler plate was huge with a little bit of everything. The ala carte menu is small, but the quality is great and it's cozy surroundings that really provide a great backdrop to flavorful Indian food!

Yelp
Supernice staff, good portions of food and a very cozy environment overall! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great food but REALLY spicy. The service was really bad. Waited at least an hour... No information before that the food was super spicy.. No information why the food took so long.

Yelp
Very low profile indian restaurant with extremely nice and spicy indian food. Must visit!

Yelp
Stumbled on this place when I found the meatpacking district. Wifi, carpeted palettes and comfy pillows as loungey tables, diverse people watching, and the 'bar snacks' are Indian spiced (I settled into the heat nicely but I warn you now) rice, beans and nuts in a mini clasped jar. 4 stars for the kind service and the creative drinks - try the Ginger Passion cocktail!
