A guide around England from London Gatwick for every type of traveller - SilverKris

"A pioneering, family-run vineyard operating for over five decades with three generations involved in daily life; it’s known for award-winning sparkling wines, most notably the floral, zesty Bolney Bubbly and the summer-ready Bolney Bubbly Rosé (strawberry, cherry and redcurrant notes). Visitors can join a three-hour behind-the-scenes tasting tour that samples five wines alongside a seasonal mezze board, book a lunch, try the estate’s own gins, or take part in creative Sip & Create tablescaping workshops." - Astrid Hofer

That's a hidden gem in West Sussex. It was an amazing experience . I am very proud to see some very good quality still wines and sparkling wines in the UK . Some of the products you can put on the same level with french wines and champagne. Very reasonably priced wine flights and snacks for it. It's a lovely bar with the terrace overlooking the wineyards, and you can also sit outside by the wineyard with outstanding views and feelings.

Visited here for Sunday lunch with friends on a lovely day in June. The restaurant, on the first floor above the shop and cafe, is light & airy, with both indoor and balcony tables. Great views overlooking the vines. The food quality was excellent, as were the wines. We particularly enjoyed the Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Noir. All of the staff are really friendly, efficient and hard working. Highly recommended.

Lovely breakfast here. Quality of food was fantastic and the kind staff even offered us a birthday drink! The food is more on the expensive side but this wasn't too much of an issue when the quality is so high We went and there were only about 5 tables in use and 4 staff on shift. Unfortunately due to it not being busy the staff were very relaxed and chatting/laughing most the time front of house which isnt an issue but we had to wait a long time for service and plates were not cleared before we had to eventually get up to go pay the bill. This was a little disappointing but wouldn't stop us returning again for a delicious breakfast in beautiful surroundings. 😀

Absolutely brilliant! We've been on a lot of Italian wine tours but no U.K. ones until yesterday (06/07/25). From the start it was so well put together, taste some wine, have a tour of the vineyard, some more wine and some food. The guide was exceptional with his knowledge, informative and very friendly. We started off with a glass of wine and some info on the set up and running of the vineyard, then a walk around the vines with details of their growth etc. Into the storage facility and a talk on the wine making process. Back to the main building for some more wine with tastings of different food and how they affect the taste. Finished off with a large plate of meat/cheeses etc. From start to finish it was very enjoyable and the other people doing the tour were friendly as well so we all had a good time. 10/10. It's so good to see an English company doing well.

We came to Bolney this week and were very happy with the majority of the day. We paid for wine tasting, a tour and lunch, and loved every minute; our tour guide was fun and outgoing and everyone who served us was friendly and helpful. After our lunch, my friend and I wanted to stay for longer and share another bottle or two, as this is what we usually do at other vineyards. When we asked if we could sit on the upstairs terrace for some drinks and more food, we were told no as it was fully booked. When we looked outside, there was only one table being used and the rest of the terrace was clear. There were more seats outside on ground level (which we were not told about) and when we went to check if any were free, we were met with the (presumed) manager frantically telling us to come back with a rather accusing tone as we had not yet paid for the glass of wine we had with lunch. There were not many people left in the cafe but they stopped and looked and we felt quite embarrassed. We explained we were just checking to see if there were more available seats outside before we decided whether or not to stay and we showed her our table number so she knew we were coming back. I understand it must not have looked good walking out the door without paying for our £10 glass of wines but felt a little disheartened by the reaction, especially after paying £60 for the wine tasting, one of the more expensive packages we have gone for with other vineyards. It felt as though we were getting amazing customer service during the package we paid for but noticed a huge shift in attitude once the package ended, even though we wanted to stay and pay more for food and drinks. It would have been nicer if we were told there were seats outside for us to stay and enjoy, instead of what felt like a rush to get us to leave. I loved every minute of the package but probably won't go back again for this reason.

I booked for a cheese and wine tasting experience and we were in for a treat. We were taken on a tour through the vineyards, into the wine making building and then back for some wine tasting paired with cheese, chocolate and charcuterie, all locally sourced. The host was fabulous and the talk so informative. The wines which included a white, red, rose and 2 sparkling were all very good and the pricing not too bad. We joined friends in the coffee shop after which lovely too. A fantastic experience enjoyed by all, thank you.

Superb setting and very friendly staff. Food was delicious but would have liked to have seen some tomatoes… Came away with some fabulous gin and quality sparking wine
