Beach itself is great, been coming since I was a child. Soft sand and nice and flat, tons of shells and a small amount of rocks. Perfect for families without being touristy. Getting in and the price of parking is what isn’t so great. Depending on the day and how nice the weather you can expect anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour just to get through the line and past the gate to even get to a parking spot. Add on the difficulty of only being able to turn right into the gate area which means if you came the other direction good luck trying to get into the line because it goes for a long ways and nobody will let you in if you didn’t realize all the cars on the side of the road were waiting to get in. Add on to the fact that the attendants at the gate choose random cars to let through into separate lanes instead of just having all lanes open. Add on time if anyone in front of you happens to have questions because the attendant will stop and chat with them. They do accept card payments now which is useful since the price to park has gone up to $20 for cars!! They do have a decent amount of restrooms but they definitely need work, locks were sticky some out of toilet paper, missing hooks to hang items and fairly unclean with toilet paper all over the floor with more than just sand and ocean water with it. But the beach itself is great and plenty of lifeguard stations with great lifeguards always watching and helping people. Overall 3 stars.

It was very busy when we went. But it was a Sunday so it was to be expected. People were grilling g and had tents set up which was ok, everyone had enough space to not interfere with the people next to them.

The beach is very clean. No grilling no tents, but EZ ups are ok. Didn't see any homeless people. People walk their dogs in the bike and skate path, but I don' t think they are allowed at the beach area.Parking for regular size vehicle is $20 a day. The line to park is soooo long. You can easily wait 1 hr to get inside to park. Then you have to find a parking spot. Plan accordingly. They open around 630am. We got there around 11 am and waited in line for almost an hour. Lots of families and surfing. You can rent bikes and there's a burger restaurant near Tower 23. Looks like they were setting up for a summer concert, but we left around 4 pm. It was a nice 74F weather the whole time. It can get cold if you're sitting in the shade. Restrooms are single stall and similar to a gas station as far as the cleanliness. Lol 😆 they also stink. Yuck! There's a Starbucks about 10 min away. There's a Jack In the Box about 5 min away. There's a McDonald's about 20 min away.

Bolsa Chica Beach is a lovely spot with wide sandy shores, calm waters, and stunning sunset views. I've been there twice for high school gatherings with my son, and it's perfect for a relaxing day by the ocean. parking is $15

Quiet afternoon to ride my bike in this state beach. No complain, easy, clean and not too much people on the path at the time I was there.

Really nice beach parking is $15 the sunset is gorgeous and the fire pits were perfect. I will say I thought the vehicle informing us the beach was closed was a little aggressive I've never been threatened to have my car get a violation for still being in the lot but I guess they really don't want you there even a moment after 10pm

Beautiful and relatively pristine beach! Lots of shells and great waves 🌊 I definitely recommend coming early (5-6 am) to see the gorgeous view!
