"When diners venture into this understated family-owned restaurant, you’re greeted warmly as if you’re a long-lost relative. It’s been a stalwart standby for over 20 years, named after the street where the owners started their first Vietnamese restaurant in Orange County. Favorite specialties include pho ga, or chicken noodle soup, and the refreshing vermicelli rice noodle dishes, which can be topped with chargrilled shrimp and Vietnamese egg rolls." - Helen I. Hwang

Google
Great pho ga, but I should have ordered the item with veggies. Excellent crispy fried noodles with beef. Very delicious hot jasmine tea on a chilly night.

Steph Marco

Google
great food, great service, fairly priced, clean place and their fried spring rolls (not in photos) are legit like NY/NJ style!!

Catherine Lopez

Google
Amazing food. There's so much more to offer than pho here. I tried the egg crepe, chicken curry with thin noodle, and some wide noodle with ham roll. I'll be coming back again to try the chicken pho. Definitely better than pho cow Cali to me.

Jeanna Kim

Google
Really attentive, sweet server, and the cleanest, most delicious tasting Pho Ga (chicken pho). It was much needed, and hit the spot while traveling!

bboylancer17

Google
Yall, come here for Pho Ga. I usually do rare steak, brisket, tendon pho, but I make the exception with this restaurant. Pho Ga here is bomb 🔥

Bryan Lau

Google
I went during typical dinner hours, and the place was still pretty quiet. The service was fast, the portions were good, and the price was reasonable. I couldn't ask for more.

Russ Schnapp

Google
Neighborhood, family-owned, gem. The place is super-clean, the food is excellent and priced very modestly. The staff are cheerful and helpful, whether you're Vietnamese or not.

Michael Pham

Google
Great service, and huge variety of Vietnamese food.

Yelp
I came here for grilled pork and crispy fried egg rolls over vermicelli noodles. Imagine my disappointment when the server came back AFTER taking my order and said "no eggrolls." WHAT??!! So I had to pick something else. I settled for grilled pork and shrimp instead but it's just not the same without eggrolls in bun. The pork was on the dry side and lacked that grilled char that I was expecting, although the shrimp was not overcooked and done just right. My friend ordered a rice noodle dish with shrimp and vegetables with gravy that she liked. Was not crowded around 5pm on a Monday night although the restaurant had customers eating. The menu just had a long listing of items but no pictures but was nicely categorized. I guess you go pay up to the front b/c no one brought our check. We were at "table 9" but the server didn't write down our order. So I had to repeat what I ate twice so I could pay. They let us pay separate checks instead of split the check, which was nice.

Yelp
Service was quick and friendly! Came here and there was a good amount of people. Not too busy. Plenty of tables! We got our drinks all at the same time. The Thai tea was creamy and sweet. The iced Vietnamese coffee was strong and sweet. We all got ice water as well. In addition, we got many dishes to share. Fried fish, fish hot sour soup, shaking beef, pho ga (chicken pho), rice, and some stir-fried veggie. I really enjoyed the shaking beef with the side of lettuce and cucumber/tomatoes. It was deliciously charred and marinated. The dressing on the lettuce was delicious and perfectly balanced. White vinegar and sugar! Very yummy! Recommend coming here for lunch or dinner-- in a group!

Ray T.

Yelp
Overall subpar, definitely better Vietnamese restaurants out there. The pho was slightly bland and ordinary. The char grilled beef had flavor, unfortunately the pieces are very thin so it was dry. Also asked for Sriracha on side (see image) it was the tiniest amount I've ever seen. Why so stingy for a cheap condiment.

Yelp
I hate to do this, but terrible experience here we come. My gfs flight got delayed so I decided to get a small bite. Eggrolls or something. I always wanted to try this place since I'm getting a sandwich at cali baguette. I walk in and it takes a minute for me to get seated. I don't mind that too much. They sat me and forgot about me! I waited 8 minutes without water or even them checking in on me. I had to flag someone down. After that, they took my order. I got the egg noodles stir fry bc I saw other tables ordering it. I ordered the eggrolls since I initially came to get that small bite. I also got wine bc you know, I was meh about the place already. Still, it's not why I gave it 2 stars. My stir fry, the beef tasted spoiled, old, rough. I was so disappointed. I only ate the veggies in the dish. I was so sad! Now for the eggrolls... it's eggroll with rice paper. Usually I love those, but this was so soft and pasty. Just didn't taste right. The nuc mam is bland too :( . Today I really appreciated my own cooking. Even if I am a retired chef, I still hold vietnamese food to the highest standard! For me vietnamese food is the best! After eating here I valued my nuc mam and vietnamese cooking! I want to give this place another shot and try the pho. I will update my review then, if it changes! Here are pics of how I got it and left with it, since I didn't touch it.

Yelp
We came here after not knowing what to eat, here are my thoughts. FOOD : we got a vietnamese crepe ( banh xeo ) and an order of rice rolls with ham ( banh cuon cha lua ). It was $30 including tips. The banh xeo has a good crispy outside and a decent amount of toppings of shrimp and pork inside. However, the outside batter is not well seasoned, it tasted a little bland. The banh cuon has 4 small rolls, with decent filling. I was hoping that the rolls would be bigger, but i do like the overall of the dish. SERVICE : they don't really check on you all that much, but they're ok. To me, i feel like they're a bit pushy. CLEANLINESS : I like how they have all the needed condiments, utensils on the table for you to grab. However, the restroom is a bit dirty and needs more attention. Overall, I would say that the food is a bit more expensive compared to the price and the liitle portions. Not sure if i would be coming back.

Yelp
Came here for the first time the other day and it was great! The employees were very nice and attentive. We ordered rare steak pho, ginger chicken, and stirfry chicken and veggies. The pho was good! The ginger chicken was also yummy and a decent serving size. The stirfry chicken and veggies had good flavor, however came out luke warm and too saucy. I would like to come back and try some other things on the menu. It was a large location and good atmosphere!

Yelp
Permanently closed after being in the business for 29 years. Wishing their family all the best in their retirement.

Bonnie F.

Yelp
Very good family owned restaurant. They told me they had been in the location for 30 years! But sadly they would be closing soon. Check it out before that happens. We had shrimp spring rolls, jelly fish salad, pork sausage over grilled noodles and seafood over flat noodles. Everything was very tasty. Fresh and felt so healthy. The peanut sauce and dipping sauce were also very good. Definitely be back soon!

Vince V.

Yelp
Yelp reports temporarily closed. Hopefully not permanent and only for remodeling. Great food. Haven't been here as much as I used to because I moved away. But I'm back in town and hopefully get another chance to give them more support as a customer.

Erica V.

Yelp
Love the steamed noodles dish here. Salty plum drink with WATER is very good here, not too salty and not too sweet. egg rolls are made with rice paper - excellent

Fred S.

Yelp
Chicken pho is my favorite dish here. I have had the Chicken porridge; also delicious. Love the restaurant, the staff, always so warm and friendly and my wife and kid love it here too! I have had the beef based pho, but you can find a better bowl elsewhere throughout San Diego, like across the street at Pho Cow Cali, or Pho Point Loma. If I were to try a new dish, it would likely be the Chicken fried rice -- have seen it served to other patrons and it makes me drool just thinking about it. This place does chicken based dishes better than just about anywhere I've been. The prices are fair, but family trips here tend to be about 5-10 percent pricier than other Vietnamese places we frequent. So, in summary.. you can't go wrong with chicken based dishes here, and if I ever get around to deviating from my norm, I'll update the review accordingly. They have very good tea and iced Vietnamese coffee from my prior visits.

Lauren A.

Yelp
This cannot be true - I am so sad! Horrible new for me, but I hope it is wonderful news for the sisters and family that have fed me for so long. I haven't been as often now that I live downtown, but for 10 years I was in at least three times a week. Felt like part of the family. To my dear friends, you have worked so hard for so long, and I'm sure that with how much your family has become extended and grown that you time will be so much better spent, and happier with all the growing ones, instead of us fussy customers (me) with special habits. So this will be great news for you and your family, and horrible news for me who will never fit in to a restaurant the same again. Wishing your family the absolute best for many many years to come. Feel free to come to my home and bring me mama's fish anytime :) lol

Missy F.

Yelp
Spring rolls were good, however the Pho was not. I ordered a "extra large" Pho that came with rare steak, brisket, flank and tripe. I actually paid $2 extra for this "extra large" serving. Let me just say it was not worth the money and definitely not "extra large". I should have never cheated on my regular Mira Mesa Pho place. Unfortunately I can't drive at the moment and Uber Eats is not connected with my regular place. I'm sorry but I tasted no flavor in Bolsa's Pho, like none! Even though I paid extra for the extra large size, they barely gave me any "fixings" meaning sprouts, Thai Basil, lime , jalapeño etc. It was literally the smallest serving of fixings I've ever seen being served with Pho. I know times are hard, but these fixings are not expensive, and if I ordered and paid for a extra large serving, it would be nice if they through in more veggies. Spring rolls were good but nothing special. I will not return and will stick to my regular Mira Mesa Pho place from now on!!

Lili J.

Yelp
Had the chance to eat at the restaurant for the first time and it was even more delicious than takeout! We ordered Banh Xeo, egg rolls, spring rolls, and Nem Nuong. Everything was delicious and fresh and service was very friendly and fast. We will be back again

Jania T.

Yelp
Really disappointed I wasted my money on this place today. Rice porridge is so watery, I ordered mixed Meats and got pieces of chicken bones, 1 squid piece,2 shrimps and 2 imitation crab. I also order pho where the raw meats, not separate or even wrapped was on top of my noodles in a to go box. Not worth what I paid for 2 thin slice of cooked brisket and 3 small thin slices of filet and a spinkle of tripe. Maybe dining in is a better experience? I will never order take out with this place again. There is nothing you can say or do to make this right for a customer other than do it right the first time. Having a restaurant is about consistency and preparing a service for that customer that wants to come back to support your business. It might have been good 2 decades ago...where is that same service and quality food today?

Zuli M.

Yelp
This spot is a classic! They will always have a table open for you! Parking is easy! Service is quick and friendly. The food is delicious and authentic. Everything tastes fresh and like quality ingredients! My pics are a little blurry Bc I was so excited to eat but hope they show you how yummy the pho was!

Lilian L.

Yelp
My sister and I came here for a late weekday lunch, because we had a hard time finding restaurants in the area that were open at that hour. Although this was my first visit to the restaurant, I had been meaning to come here for a while ever since my therapist recommended the banh xeo here. I decided to order the banh xeo which was my first time trying this dish, and my sister ordered the pork with rice. We enjoyed both dishes, and I liked that the banh xeo did not feel too heavy or greasy, although it was crispy on the outside. The service workers were kind and the food was also served quickly. I also thought the prices were very reasonable.

Shannon C.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about my last visit here. Everything tasted really good except for some BBQ pork that tasted a little off. It's been a while since coming and I was impressed with the flavor. I ordered a pork and shrimp vermicelli to go. It looked really tasty and I enjoyed it, but shortly after my stomach confirmed that the pork had gone bad. Man, I really paid for it for the rest of the day. It's a really hot day and it's more important than ever to really be careful of food handling. I hope the business will take this as constructive feedback to improve quality going forward instead of as a criticism. These days it's important to support local, but I cannot in good conscience return (or if I do, I won't be ordering the pork). Note the other orders of pho and beef stew turned out great and no one else got sick but me.

Lan V.

Yelp
This place has the best Banh Uot noodles and salty plum drink. The noodles are very soft and smooth. The shrimp and pork jelly fish salad and chicken curry stew were very good. The salted fried squid was ok and I was disappointed that it didn't have the tentacles parts. The turmeric marinaded fish was also ok.

Yelp
NOTE: CASH ONLY It's been 20 years since I've been here. Used to be the place I would go with my college buddies. Today we came here for the hu tieu ap chao chay (vegetarian pan fried flat rice noodles) because other restaurants were either not opened during COVID or open late. I called to place the order right when they opened at 9am and when I got there, the door was locked (sign says to wait here for order) then the lady came out to ask want I wanted. I told her my order and she brought it out ($12). Forgot to take a photo of the dish but one thing I recommend when ordering take out, is to ask for the sauce to be on the side. The veggie content was in one container and the sauce was in another. This helps prevent it from being soggy before you even get to have a bite. The noodles was perfectly pan fried with the charred smokey flavor. Lots of vegetables, more than tofu. Oh, this is also one of the few restaurants that serve chao (porridge). Chao ga is the best when you're sick. No wonder why this restaurant is still her after all these years. Forgot how amazing this place was.

Jason L.

Yelp
I don't need the flash and frill of whatever the newest, trendiest pho eatery is. I just want quality pho in my belly. Bolsa is my go-to. It's clean, well-kept, family run and top notch. They offer up great spring rolls and the rare beef soup is always solid. Yours truly likes to switch it up from time to time though, and I can vouch for the coconut curry chicken and the mixed seafood pho as well, both are great. Bolsa is affordable and they always serve up the goods quickly. Typically it takes about 10 minutes from being seated to shoving your pie hole full of noodle goodness.

Ard. A.

Yelp
The food here is very authentic. If you are into Asian cuisine this place is an awesome place for soups and phos. I got my food within 10 minutes so if you are really hungry, go here if you are close, the food is quick and delicious.

Sung Won C.

Yelp
Their foods are good. specially, we love their buchu. They are very kind as well. So I like this place.

Isa H.

Yelp
Cheap delicious and amazing fast service. Egg rolls are crispy. Noodles are al dente. The meat cooked just right. I can eat Pho everyday. The soup is clear and not oily. The only thing missing in this place is a hammock so that I can eat again after waking up.

Zhurka S.

Yelp
It was a very disappointing experience for my wife and myself. The owner actually waited on us as it was a quiet time of day. The place was entirely empty - maybe I should have paid more attention to that. He treated us as if we were ignorant of Vietnamese food and was very patronizing. And toi top it off the food was mediocre at best. If his intention was to drive us away so we would never return he definitely succeeded.

John Y.

Yelp
soooo sad to hear that this place is closed. was my wife's favorite. we will miss you guys! please open up again somewhere else...we will be there!

Dimboogoo H.

Yelp
Best Coffee!!! Delicious Fried catfish with Ginger sauce. Delicious Pho. Super friendly staff.

Ashley D.

Yelp
I am in love with this place! My sister and I were wanting to try a new Vietnamese place and found Bolsa on Yelp, (thank you Yelp). We ordered egg rolls and vermicelli bowls and wow, we were impressed. The egg rolls were wonderful. You can tell they are home made and the taste is phenomenal, paired with the fresh lettuce and basil, they were heavenly. The buns were great as well. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I ordered the grilled pork with egg roll and loved the flavor of the pork. I've also ordered the beef and enjoyed it just as much. I've also tried the Thai Tea as well as the Pho broth and wow, I was blown away. The flavor of that broth was indescribable. I was sick and it was exactly what I needed for breakfast. This is a great little restaurant and I am so happy to have found it. I will keep coming back!

Sarah M.

Yelp
The Ca Thang Long is delicious!! The Thai iced tea is, too! The owners are very friendly and happy to talk about the ingredients, too. Clean atmosphere. Will come back when I can.

Minami A.

Yelp
Quality is not as good as other pho in the area and portion is so little. Maybe that's why it's never crowded as the other one across the street.

Mia L.

Yelp
11.2.17 In between a 3.5 and a 4. Their eggrolls is so bomb here. I love it, it's so perfect there's nothing else I could say about it. Their chicken pho however lacks flavor. The chicken needs to have flavor their sauce to dip needs work, all they did was grated a bunch of ginger. It is actually quite odd to have american vegetables in chicken pho. But it was an experience. Their Banh Cuon is mediocore but the fact that they have it available makes it a plus. I wish they had the fried fish cakes, that would have elevated the meal. Service was pretty abrupt. They guy (looked like the boss/owner) was irritated that I order water for my friend after my friend said no drinks. My friend thought that water was a given which he did want. They gave us a dirty fork, they actually forgotten the dipping sauce for the pho and what else...? Other than that, overall not bad, I would try different dishes next time.

Lady D.

Yelp
Overcharged (and overpriced$$$ for small portions) ordered the same thing last week and today - menu didn't reflect any price change. they're also one of those places if you ask for sauce, they give you stink face/sigh. if someone who wasn't familiar with this type of cuisine, they'd probably be satisfied. But, for those who grew up eating these meals - you know. It's like a dive bar/hole in the wall, so they truly don't gaf - they'd probably love to be street vendors; and should be

Vu N.

Yelp
Please keep your receipt and write down the total amount when you pay with card. Shame on me for not doing that trusting the owner when shen said i dont need to sign anything after i pay. Find it pretty sketchy when she said that . so check my bank it was pending $12.50 . Just today i look at it again it was changed to $19.50 that mean the owner add the total Amount without me knowing it. That is stealing im pretty sure this is not the first time She done this. Eventually karma will get you. Good Luck!!

Jon V.

Yelp
We were looking to have a fried rice yesterday and Yelp took us to Bolsa. What it seemed to be a family owned business ran by women from the cooks in the kitchen to the servers up front. There was also a gentleman, could be the owner, who helped to serve the food and greeted the customers. The place is clean. The porcelain plates and utensils look brand new and spotless. We ordered the spring rolls, shrimp fried rice and steak dice. We very much enjoyed the food. There was a good amount of flavorful shrimp in the rice. The steak was marinated well and the meat was remarkably tender and juicy. The spring rolls were neatly wrapped and everything in it was fresh and crunchy, although, the sauce could use a little more flavor. We loved the music in the background, which made us feel relaxed. We also had a good conversation with one of the servers. Overall we had a great experience and came out full. We'll certainly come back again next time.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Let's be honest, nothing beats Phuong Trang on Convoy and our new favorite Saigon on El Cajon St. Bolsa is pretty good Vietnamese food. The portions are a little on the small side and pricing a little high for it. (Comparing to PT & Saigon). We started with eggrolls, a broken rice dish, and a Hu Tieu. The egg rolls had rice paper wrap (like PT) was good except half the size. They didn't have a dac biet broken rice (with everything) so my bf added the shrimp wrap for an extra $3ish and everything was like miniature size. Like tinier then what you normally get at your typical Viet cuisine. It tasted good though. I got the Hu Tieu with everything. It was good, except the pork was a bit dried out and on the thinner side and I know they use MSG. I felt numb/tinglely. What we didn't like was their fish dipping sauce. Theirs is a bit on the salty side. Super salty. Needed some lime and garlic. Other than that, we enjoyed our meal. Bolsa isn't too bad, flavors are there. Good for the area when you're craving some Viet cuisine!

Christine T.

Yelp
My go to spot for banh uot (without cha lua). I've also had the braised cat fish which is hit or miss due to variability in the cook of the catfish and the variability in the sauce. Spring rolls are average. The banh xeo however hits the spot. Nice and crispy with lots of veggies.

Michele M.

Yelp
I ate here yesterday for lunch with a friend who loves pho. It was our first time here but we had high expectations. I do not like pho but do enjoy a good bun every once in a while. I really just like the crispy egg rolls. I ordered the bun with the crispy egg rolls. I liked that the fish sauce was not too fishy and mixed with some vinegar. The crispy egg rolls were smaller than I'm used to but they were still good. I asked my friend how the pho was and she said it didn't have much flavor. She actually said it was weird because it didn't have any depth of flavor like pho soup should have. She named a few places that has better pho soup. Oh well. The service was fast but not as fast as other pho places. They were very nice and friendly unlike other pho places.

Rebecca T.

Yelp
I was excited to try Bolsa due to the highly rated reviews but was met with a mediocre experience. We ordered some basics so my review is purely based on the three dishes we tried: egg rolls, spring rolls, and pho. Egg rolls look extremely appetizing in pictures but were smaller than expected in person. They were decent and I enjoyed the crispy exterior but didn't feel like they were that great as a whole. The filling tasted okay but lacked flavor. Spring rolls were mediocre and not memorable. My brother said the pho was a little bland but didn't mind it as he felt like it tasted healthier and lighter than normal pho broth. However, he still preferred a bowl from Pho Cow Cali in terms of portion and overall flavor. The environment was slightly off-putting as the tables, chairs, napkin dispenser, etc., all had a sticky/greasy feeling. It's not good when you are trying to eat and your elbows and arms are constantly feeling like they are sticking to the table. Price is okay, typical for the type of dishes you're ordering and around the same range as other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Parking lot is shared but it's not hard to find parking since people are always leaving/entering the plaza. Customer service was decent but minimal in terms of service. I can't speak for the other dishes Bolsa serves but the few we tried (which were relatively simple dishes) were decent but did not go above and beyond. Unfortunately, in an area with various options for Vietnamese food, I didn't feel like Bolsa had to do something unique and/or different to stand out. I may come back to try their other dishes in the future but would probably go elsewhere for pho and egg/spring rolls.

Valerie C.

Yelp
This is the first time I have been here. But the service was quick. The staff were kind and the food is GREAT! We had the beef noodle bowl soup and one of my sons has the char sui egg noodle soup. I highly recommend this!

Leng K.

Yelp
The service was very quick and there was plenty of seating. I ordered the pho Ga and although it wasn't mind blowing, it was still decent. I think it's just hard to find good pho ga in any viet restaurant since it's not as popular. Nevertheless it was still good. I personally would have preferred for the dipping sauce to be less sweet and a little bit fishier but I think they want to accommodate to American customers so I can see why they make it like that. Overall I would recommend coming here

Olivia H.

Yelp
I have been in search of a good pho place in San Diego since moving here 8 years ago, and I am here to say I have finally found it!! I've been to Vietnamese restaurants in San José, arguably the hub of the best Vietnamese food in California (no shade, Orange County). I had had the pho ga long, the #4 on the menu and the cha gio (#11) on the menu. It was of San Jose quality, i.e., delicious, authentic and fresh. The broth was so refreshing, it was light, and clear, but you could see the delicious collagen on the surface. The chicken tasted amazing! It must have been local. That ginger, garlic dipping sauce for the chicken is so savory and balances the flavors out so well. I felt healthy just eating it!! 10/10 The cha gio uses rice paper that has been fried. The result is an ultra crispy but light, not greasy egg roll. 10/10 I also love that this is clearly a family owned and operated business, and it felt good to support them. I would highly recommend this place and plan to be back!

J R.

Yelp
We love Bolsa and they have just about everything on their extensive menu. We also enjoy coming here because this small family run restaurant is so welcoming. Yes! The service is always so pleasant and that makes us come back all the time and of course the food is delicious! I always order their Bun Bo Hue with the soft tender beef they add to it. Also, their eggrolls are a must try! They are smaller than usually eggrolls but so good! I highly recommend coming here for your Vietnamese fix!

Julie N.

Yelp
We came on a weekday. They had pretty quick service. We were the only ones then more people came in. We ordered the bo luc lac, pho nam,pho tai bv, and shrimp fried rice. Total came out to about $66. Pho was okay. The bo luc lac was good. Shrimp fried rice was different. It had chunks of onion which I'm not use to. I think there known for more dishes than the pho. Will be back to try again

Lilly N.

Yelp
Meh, this place is okay. I used to love this place for their Pho Ap Chao, but its definitely been going down hill since I remember coming here as a child. The offer the usual dishes you would find at any generic Vietnamese restaurant, but the flavors and quality are pretty lackluster. I have tried their various rice dishes (pretty small portions, and meat tasted old & overcooked), their bun bo (super flavorless), and family-style dishes (okay, but nothing special). The portions are much smaller than I remember and the place looks like it is not very well maintained by staff. I'd rather drive just drive the extra couple minutes to convoy for some higher quality Viet food :/

Seth L.

Yelp
Excellent food, restaurant was super busy but I ordered to go. Friendly staff and moderately priced compared to other Pho restaurants near by. The best part is that they had Vietnamese Crepes aka Bahn Xeo. So delicious it's a must order...

Lisa G.

Yelp
Dropped by here yesterday with a girlfriend for a dinner. It was our first time in, and we were welcomed in when entering. There seemed to be several different people that dropped by our table- one to give us the menu, another to ask if we needed water, and another to ask if we were ready to order. We asked for a few minutes to peruse the menu and both of us decided to be adventurous. Instead of the normal rice place or pho ...we each picked out a specialty dish. We were both excited as it was something new we never tried - Beef Diced Steak and Catfish Sautéed in Fish Sauce. Due to the prices and the pictures we expected a tad too much. The catfish which we mainly chose due to how good it looked in the photo on the menu look minuscule in comparison. The sauce had quite the flavor but was very salty. Upon reviewing the pot it was cooked in, it looked as though they left it cooking for too long as dried sauce stained the sides. My girlfriend ended up eating more rice due to the saltiness of the fish sauce for the catfish while I gulped down as much water as possible. The Beef Diced Steak was chosen due to glimpsing it in a review or two. It was okay...but the presentation was somewhat bland, half of it just salad and a few pieces of tomatoes while the other half consisted of a few pieces of meat. I didn't feel they were worth the price they were marked at as I would have gotten more full on a rice plate and have leftovers. We split the bill and paid around $15 (including tip. For the split each of us was $13.30). Service was okay. We did get our waters refilled. Upon the waiter cleaning I did notice that he just came to take it away instead of asking if we were done. As for paying, you need to just go up. Otherwise you would be sitting for a while never getting the bill. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing makes me interested to go back.

Yelp
Food here is so good! We tried the bun cha ha noi and cha gio. Probably the closest thing to OC Vietnamese food out here. I'm from OC and I've missed authentic Vietnamese food since my move. Owner and employees are friendly. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Hidden little spot off Mira Mesa Blvd. and Black Mountain Rd. I was looking for a place that had spring rolls and came across this place on google. Figured we'd give it a try, they have plenty of vegetarian options as well. We started with an order of spring rolls that had shrimp and rolled ham as well as an order of the the egg rolls. They were both to our liking... we also got an order of the veggie spring rolls and they were just as good. We then ordered stir fried egg noodles, one was a veggie dish the other was a combination with veggies and an order of the lemongrass chicken with ginger. The crispy fried noodles were something else!!! They soften up with the sauce and soak up all the flavors... the lemongrass chicken was very flavorful and delicious. The staff was great, friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Possibly my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in SD. Amazing service and defreakinglicious bun bo hue. My coworkers and I, party of 20+, came here to celebrate May birthdays, and although we were an enormous group, and I could see the fear in the waiters' eyes as we stepped foot in the door, they handled us like a FUCKING CHAMP. Treated us with such patience + zeal and got ALL. OUR. ORDERS. RIGHT. And food came out in less than 20 minutes! We were in and out like that and I genuinely appreciated the service so much. The waitresses were so adorable and made me feel like I've been welcomed into their home. They were generous with the garnishes and limes and bean sprouts. And never once gave us attitude about my incessant questions. The iced coffee was dank too. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Was craving some Vietnamese food on this cold rainy day and ended up coming here. It's located in a small plaza with other little businesses with lots of parking. We were seated immediately and was able to order right away. I got the Banh xeo and my fiancé got the beef and pork rice plate. We also got the eggrolls as an appetizer. The food came out really fast and the first thing I noticed was how crispy the banh xeo was! Which is a good thing because some places will serve it more on the softer(soggy) side but I prefer mine CRISPPPP! The flavor was decent but lacked some of the meat and shrimp filing inside. However my fiancé's plate was full of flavor. The meats were tender and was a big portion. Overall the staff was super friendly and you can tell they really take care of their customers and that they have regulars that come in here. Come check this place out if you're in the area !
