"So while this top-ranked seed might seem like a no-brainer, we enter bibimbap, which as my colleague Brenna Houck noted in the previous round, has yet to fully take over the fast-casual bowl world, a reality that I take as a personal affront." - Madeleine Davies

I was looking for a healthy and tasty option in Toronto while I was there for the day and this popped up on Google. Glad I went because the food was both delicious and had lots of different veggies and colours. Prices were good and service was quick. Judging from how busy it was I think a lot of people like this place.

I travel to Seoul regularly, this is hands down the best Korean food I’ve had out side of Korea. Small cozy little spot. Staff were very friendly. Didn’t have to wait long for my food and the hot stone bowl is amazing. Highly recommend lunch here.

Hidden gem! I absolutely love this Korean restaurant. We ordered Bulgogi bibimbap and kimchi pork with avocado on the top. It was really delicious and felt so healthy. The portion was great and the service was also nice! I definitely recommend it here and will visit again. Thank you👍🏻

bibimbap has become the ultimate comfort food that i especially crave as the weather gets colder... had such a lovely experience at this cosy bibimbap spot! food came relatively quickly and the service was so courteous and friendly as well. — we ordered an egg & vegetable bibimbap and a bulgogi beef bibimbap! the bowls were sizzling and piping hot, which created the crispy bits of rice that i especially love hehe. i wish every bibimbap place had the sauce in a squeeze bottle so you can decide how much or how little sauce to add!! the sauce was a little on the sweeter side and a bit watery, but at just the right level of spice. the portions were also very generous-- a lot of bulgogi and veggies! -- overall a super nice experience! really want to come back for their japchae and tuna kimchi bibimbap... :0

Very tasty, especially without any expectation. It really surprise me. Lovely decoration and good ambience. But for the traditional Korean food, hope they will use Korean soya sauce and chopsticks. Bean paste soup and kimchi taste not that good. I love kimchi and I understand every family have their own kimchi taste, but the kimchi they serve is really not my cup of tea and need to pay for that. I always think kimchi for Korean restaurant just like chopsticks and spoon, it's a "must have" item and provide it for free.

Solid bibimbap although a bit overpriced. The intimate interior makes for a perfect lunchtime spot or small dinner party. I ordered take out that came fast and fresh. The ingredients were marinated and cooked to the right doneness (including the fried egg!) and the ratio of meat to veg to rice was perfect. The eel and beef were delicious. I never felt like I had to ration a morsel of something to make for that satisfying last bite. Perfect for a quick lunch. Would come again!

Great place. This is the first time we tried bibimbap. We ordered deep fried tofu and egg & vegetable bibimbap. Both were good though we found the taste a bit bland. We will certainly go back again.

Delicious and nutritious. A well rounded meal priced at $15. Very fair for the area and fresh tasting. Love it!

Yelp
Since my last review, I have gone back a few times. I have recommended and brought 2 of my coworkers here one time for them to try bibimbap. Food has been consistent and good, it comes hot and fresh as well. My coworkers both agreed that this place was good and it was one of the best bibimbap they have had. I have only had their bulgogi bowl and may try their other protein choices later on. This hole in a wall deserves more recognition!

Yelp
This place was rated 5 stars close to where I was. Haven't been to Toronto in 20yrs, but the Asian food choices are ENDLESS , so I wanted to go in making sure I had a good meal. This is your typical "dive" restaurant... in a good way. Pretty much a little humble hole in the wall. Nothing fancy about it. The menu was simple, they had free WiFi, and the 2 people working were a great balance of friendly, and just getting it done. Only one other couple were in the restaurant, but prob 10 pick up orders while I was sitting (around 5pm on a Monday ) Very simple one page menu. I got the galbi bibimbap with an egg. It was delicious. Exactly what I was looking for. Took less than 10 min to bring out. My total before tip was $20.91 USD/$28.82 CAD I only had tap water. It did come with miso soup as well. Maybe a little on the higher end of price for this type of establishment, but I'm not familiar with how expensive food is here in Toronto.

Yelp
Got the deep fried tofu bibimbap for delivery, and I enjoyed it! The tofu had a lot of flavor from the breading and was also drizzled with sauce, which gave it even more flavor. The bibimbap isn't traditional (it has kale, quinoa, pickled onions, lettuce etc) and feels more like a modern/fast casual salad take on the classic rice bowl, but it was still delicious nonetheless. The gochujang sauce it comes with also has a great kick. Felt healthy because there were lots of veggies, and it was it the perfect portion so that I felt satiated but not too stuffed! Can't comment on the service since I got delivery, but it was packaged nicely. Would recommend for a casual & healthy but still filling lunch!

Yelp
Lovely little restaurant tucked away on Gerrard st. I've been here twice now. Neither time has been disappointing. Depending on the time of day, it can get busy but service is quick and efficient. The food is good, however, in comparison to other bimbambap places, it's not the best I've had but still pretty good. If you are in need of a quick and filling meal, this is a good place to go!

Yelp
BOM Bibimbap is a hole-in-a-wall establishment. Right near the corner Tim Hortons, this doorway into Bibimbap is a hidden gem. It is a small cute restaurant with some seating serving big bowls of Bibimbap. Great for a quick bite before a movie as service is quick and although it is small, feels quite intimate and private. The veggies are fresh, the rice is a combination of grains and crispy as expected, and the protein choices are unique. The rice is fragrant with an extra floral scent and taste, maybe it's the rice, or added essence, but it really works and I will be trying some flower essence in my rice at home in order to imitate the experience. Order: - Unagi (BBQ Eel) Bibimbap, no extra toppings I've never seen a Bibimbap place serving eel as the protein before and had to try it, and it was amazing. They have a layer of eel on top of the rice and now I will only be carving eel Bibimbap, nothing else will do. The chili and sauce was great, it complimented the Bibimbap, not spicy; it has a kick for sure, but no 1-chili, 2-chili, ... rating needed here. The service was quick and the rice bowl was expertly arranged, the eels in a flowery pattern and each element of the dish well separated and colourful. Even when mixed, you can see and taste each element clearly and again, the (surprising) flowery scent/taste really makes it work. After the meal, although filling, does not feel heavy, and with the fresh ingredients, it definitely taste great and warrants another go. Maybe the salmon next time...

Yelp
I recently visited this restaurant this week and when I took the first bite, the first thought that came to me was why I don't come back here more often. The menu can be found by scanning the QR code found on each table. Food: I ordered the bulgogi (beef) bibimbap - all their bibimbap is served in a hot stone bowl. The quality of the ingredients in the bibimbap is top-notch! Once you mix the components together, you get a colourful dish. I personally like the red cabbage, adds a pop of colour. The crispy bottom are one of the best parts of this dish. Hot tip - dip the crispy rice parts into the complimentary miso soup for an extra umami bite! Service/atmosphere: The staff are attentive and gave great service!

Yelp
Long story short: My go-to for bibimbap! Long story long: I have been coming here for years. Back when it was called Mt. Fuji and Epicure City BOM. BOM bibimbap is delicious with wonderful service. Everyone is very kind and attentive. It's a small spot, lunch and after work are busy, so get there slightly early or slightly late! I typically order the beef bulgogi and BBQ eel bibimbap with teriyaki sauce and a fried egg on top. Filling and flavourful. Your meal comes in a hot stone bowl with miso soup. The slightly charred rice on the bottom is my favourite part! The veggies are delicious, too. In the past, I have also ordered Jap Chae, edamame and gyoza. All also great! Highly recommend a visit!

Yelp
This spot is bom(b)! One of the best bibimbaps in Toronto I'd say. They mainly serve bibimbap here and few other side orders/appetizers. They used to have sushi but not anymore. You know a restaurant will be good if they specialize in one thing and have a limited menu! We ordered the Bulgogi/Unagi and Salmon bibimbaps. The meat and fish pieces were tender and all the fresh ingredients in the bowl blended so nicely together. It tasted like a healthy bowl of bibimbap compared to other restaurants. I never seen kale added to this dish before but it works so well! The spicy sauce they provide you with is not too spicy and adds a nice kick of sweetness to the bowl as well. Staff are very friendly and the space is a bit small but cozy. Will definitely return whenever I am craving some bibimbap.

Yelp
Came here at 5 with my friends to an empty restaurant as they just opened after their lunch break. I got the tuna kimchi bibimbap which was so delicious. I love their fresh ingredients and I also like how they don't pack so much rice in it. The complimentary miso soup is always nice. I do feel they made their portions smaller but it still is pretty tasty. Great service.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant with colleagues. It's Friday and we've decided to have some drinks too. I shared a bottle of soju with another person, just the original and not the flavoured ones. Server told us it's a good mix to have one shot of soju with another 3 shots of beer. I like the mix more than straight soju. I ordered the spicy pork bibimbap as I like pork, but it's not really spicy at all for me. I do eat very spicy though. I added extra hot sauce and it's still only mildly spicy for me. I also had to add soya sauce as the dish was a bit on the sweet side. The hot stone bowl is good for keeping the food temperature hot until the very end. The restaurant is small so you have to get there early if you want to have a seat during rush hour. Some people even have to wait to get seats during Friday lunch time. It's definitely a personal preference, but I don't like when my food has a sweetness undertone.

Yelp
DA BOM!! Hands down the BEST bibimbap I've had in Toronto. Their bibimbap contains so many veggies such as carrots, kale, potatoes, white radish, zucchini, and beets! I always get a fried egg that is definitely the cherry on top. Never disappoints. You can get this without the stone bowl for a dollar less. However, the stone bowl makes the rice 10 times better!

Yelp
Great food, really lovely humans serving it. The portion size was generous, and the preparation of the Bibimbap was very fast! Definitely recommend it.

Yelp
A delicious and quick lunch or dinner option in the downtown core. While it's not the cheapest option at roughly $20 after tax and tips for a tofu bibimbap, the food quality was definitely there. All bibimbaps are served in a piping hot stone bowl if you choose to eat there. They do also serve a soup if you eat in, but I've had their takeout previously too and it's delicious. Beware however, dining room seating is quite limited, and it gets busy very quickly during the lunch period. I especially adored the variety of vegetables and freshness in ingredients that came with each bowl. Will be coming again soon.
