"A dinner here has all the makings of a really fun night out, which starts with great food and inevitably ends on the dance floor. At Boma, there’s even a DJ who plays sets on weekends, and part of the reason people come here is for the party atmosphere. And of course, for the food, like generous portions of Cape Malay lamb sosaties and flame-grilled pork chops with chakalaka, washed down with zingy cocktails featuring rooibos tea and roasted pineapple. Main dishes we ordered (came with sides): - 1/2 peri peri chicken with fried Brussels sprouts - Skaap rib (lamb) with crispy spuds (potatoes) - Aubergine with carrots Dessert: - Rooibos Malva pudding All of them tasted very good and the vibes and atmosphere was a good accompaniment to the dining experience. A recommended restaurant for modern South African food!

Absolute Afternoon Delight. Nothing bad to say about this place <3 The Bartender, Jay Cee, was incredible. Not only anticipated my next drink, but made sure I stayed hydrated and healthy during my lunch. I had the mieliebrood waffle, which was really tasty. Chicken was cooked super well. Partner had the boerie roll, and it was delicious Vibes & music was great, food and drinks were even better. Definitely a favourite in town for me!

Braai Platter was charred and hard, would nto order that again. A bottle of white wine was served with being placed in an ice bucket, our waiter brought us ice cubes in a glass, I am assuming thats how we were supposed to chill the wine. We had to ask ask Fisto if how he served our wine bottle was their standard of serving wine and his response was that's how he got it from the bar. The whole experience it really felt like a waste of money as the place had been highly recommended.

Music, atmosphere and service were great! The smashed deep fried baby potatoes were amazing however the burger patty was tasteless.

Overall, my experience at the restaurant was mixed. While the food was decent, it didn't leave a lasting impression. I found the prices for both drinks and food to be quite high, and the disappointment of not having certain menu items was notable. However, I must admit that the ambiance of the place is stunning, making it a great spot to unwind with friends. Despite this, it didn't quite match my personal preferences.

The atmosphere is lovely but the service is slow and food average for the price paid. We had the pap with Chakalaka but it was below average as it wasn’t proper sauce. The nachos came with two very small sauces and were shop bought and completely dry with no cheese and the burger comes with no chips. The glass sizes for the cocktails are very small and overpriced. Dead average

It is now August 2023. This is a new place. Been open just 1 month. Venue layout is good. Great bar area, nice outside bench seating too. Great decor, love the flamingo on the bar. Funny. Food...I had a charred salad R85, the leeks R140 pricey and a chopped beef burger. The charred salad was tasty, suprisingly so. The leeks were two long and stringy, flavour so so. Plus they had fried chicken skin dust all over them. So not vegetarian. The chopped beef burger was a 6,5 out of 10

Today we had the pleasure to enjoy our dinner in Boma on Bree. The food, the atmosphere and the service were just fantastic. All the plates are so tasty and when combined with a good cocktail and the background music it just makes a wonderful evening. Amanda took so well care of us two. She is so friendly and elegant. It is just a pity that we live very far away from Southafrica, but if one day we come back we will for sure visit this place again! We recommend it 20000% Thank you for everything
