The 15 Best Restaurants In Cape Town - Cape Town - The Infatuation

"A dinner here has all the makings of a really fun night out, which starts with great food and inevitably ends on the dance floor. At Boma, there’s even a DJ who plays sets on weekends, and part of the reason people come here is for the party atmosphere. And of course, for the food, like generous portions of Cape Malay lamb sosaties and flame-grilled pork chops with chakalaka, washed down with zingy cocktails featuring rooibos tea and roasted pineapple." - mary holland

Experience the Best Restaurants in Cape Town

"A playful, fire-forward dining concept located on a trendy dining strip, this restaurant emphasizes live-fire cooking and convivial, smoky flavors while the team finalizes a permanent home for its more formal fine-dining project. The approach is energetic and accessible, rooted in wood- and coal-driven techniques and storytelling through heat." - Sarah Khan

Dylan is an outstanding manager paying attention to detail. With no prior knowledge until we came to the restaurant, it was our wedding anniversary and he went all out to make sure we felt super special. Amanda our waitress was attentive and kept us happy all the way with her warm nature and absolute friendly personality. Background music was great and the warm fire place kept us here enjoying every moment to the fullest. 20/10!!! Compliments to the chef!!! Great place 👌

Food is amazing - good value for money and a great take on South African traditional food! Staff are friendly and attentive although it does get quite busy and our reservation has been forgotten twice before (although they ended up being able to fit us in nonetheless so made no difference, but I’d suggest calling to confirm your booking before you arrive). Atmosphere is vibey

The food and service were excellent! We had Millie as our server and she was great! We particularly liked the crispy spuds and the sweet potato pie. And if you've got room for dessert you should definitely have the malva pudding. It was amazing!

Absolute Afternoon Delight. Nothing bad to say about this place <3 The Bartender, Jay Cee, was incredible. Not only anticipated my next drink, but made sure I stayed hydrated and healthy during my lunch. I had the mieliebrood waffle, which was really tasty. Chicken was cooked super well. Partner had the boerie roll, and it was delicious Vibes & music was great, food and drinks were even better. Definitely a favourite in town for me!

Main dishes we ordered (came with sides): - 1/2 peri peri chicken with fried Brussels sprouts - Skaap rib (lamb) with crispy spuds (potatoes) - Aubergine with carrots Dessert: - Rooibos Malva pudding All of them tasted very good and the vibes and atmosphere was a good accompaniment to the dining experience. A recommended restaurant for modern South African food!

It is now August 2023. This is a new place. Been open just 1 month. Venue layout is good. Great bar area, nice outside bench seating too. Great decor, love the flamingo on the bar. Funny. Food...I had a charred salad R85, the leeks R140 pricey and a chopped beef burger. The charred salad was tasty, suprisingly so. The leeks were two long and stringy, flavour so so. Plus they had fried chicken skin dust all over them. So not vegetarian. The chopped beef burger was a 6,5 out of 10

Unexpectedly amazing! My husband and I stopped by Boma South Africa for a quick lunch and were blown away. The Apple Mint Sparkler and Not So Dusky Desert Delight were refreshing, and the popcorn was dangerously addictive. We shared the pork chop, corn ribs, and mieliebrood waffle—hands down one of the best chicken & waffles I’ve ever had. Big thanks to Amanda, our fantastic server. A must-visit spot in Cape Town!
