Has parking right behind the restaurant - free to park. Some folks liked veggie pakoda but i found it to have too much besan for my liking. Mushroom masala had the butter chicken type curry which isn't how I have tasted mushroom masala till date. The mushrooms didnt retain any of its own taste. Could have been anything at that point. Veggie biryani was good, the coffe was good too. Gobhi manchurian extremely crispy but sweet which didnt sit well with our party. Naans were excellent and paneer curry was very good as well. Don't remember the chicken dishes but friends liked them.

October 2025 4* Visited the restaurant for quick dinner. The place is located on quiet street. The atmosphere is fine but it is not fine dine restaurant. Staff is nice and helpful. Here is my food list: - Gobhi Prantha **** - Mixed veg Kulcha ** - Dahi *** Prantha was nice and cooked properly. Kulcha was very average and it is not their specialization. The place is accessible and washroom are accessible too.

Great spot to grab Indian food for your cravings! I had: 1. Chili chicken 2. Chicken wings 3. Mango lassi

I had to try the veggie frankie since i’ve never tried an indian style burrito before. It was delicious! I asked for a side of sauce cause i just want it covered in that yummy sauce. I would suggest they add the side of sauce just like a salsa. I would definitely come back to try the pizza or masala fries

This is the second time that my partner and I come here. Shinda Helped us out with everything and the meal was amazing! We had vegan food because we’re vegan and it was amazing! You should try it because if you don’t, you will miss out on the amazing food they provide!!

During CicLAvia’s “Heart of the City” event, they turned their sidewalk into a pop-up of pure joy. Music, smiles, and community energy that could light up the skyline. The owner personally greeted everyone, and yes, even gave out hugs (pictured). The Food: I’ve had a few dishes here, but that cauliflower dish? Unforgettable. Perfectly cooked, wonderfully spiced, and carrying just enough heat to remind you you’re alive. Every bite was a conversation between flavor and fire and I was happy to listen. The Vibe: Plenty of outdoor life during events, plenty of peace inside when you want it. The décor is simple, the energy genuine. Overall: It’s rare to find a restaurant that feeds both your appetite and your sense of community. Bombay Beach manages to do both beautifully. It’s a place where hospitality meets heart. Greeted not just by the aroma of cumin and coriander, but by a staff so polite and welcoming you start wondering if you’ve accidentally wandered into a family reunion. Would I recommend it? Without hesitation. Go for the cauliflower, stay for the connection.

I decided to give this spot a try mainly because it's close to my house. I ordered in and sat down, hoping for a solid Indian meal. I went with two dishes I've had plenty of times before: the butter chicken and the chicken masala. As someone who genuinely enjoys Indian food and knows what these dishes are supposed to taste like, I was surprised--and not in a good way--when they brought them out. Both dishes looked and tasted exactly the same. There was no distinction in flavor or presentation, which was a huge letdown since I ordered two different meals for variety. I only took one bite of the butter chicken before realizing it was essentially the same dish as the masala, so I left it and just ate the chicken masala. When I politely brought this up at the register, the staff looked at me like I was crazy. I explained the issue and said I wasn't willing to pay for a meal I didn't eat, especially since it was basically a duplicate. Still, they insisted I pay for both. After some back and forth, I ended up only paying for the masala--what I actually ate--but the whole interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. To top it off, our waiter seemed extremely young--definitely not old enough to be legally working in a restaurant. I don't want to make assumptions, but it felt concerning. Overall, the food was just OK at best, and the customer service was a major disappointment. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I won't be returning. There are far better Indian restaurants out there--both in terms of food and respect for their customers.

This was my third time eating at this place and food is BOMB. The place smells so good and is always clean I would seriously recommend anything on the menu. The staff and the owners are incredibly nice and sometimes they have a fun dj outside! Also a great place to have a beer! They have outdoor and indoor seating. Plenty of parking around

I loved the concept of the Frankie and I loved how the butter masala sauce soaked into the naan for the DTLA Frankie! DELICIOUS! Only thing is, next time if I went in person instead of doing app delivery, I would ask if they had a "no spice" version. I got the lowest spice level "mild spice" available in the uber eats menu for this place, but it was still a little too spicy for me to comfortably enjoy eating.

Great food. Their naan is next level, fluffy with a crispy crust. Service is friendly. Great stop for dinner pre concert at the Teragram!

Had a tasty snack yesterday. Curry Chicken, samosas, and garlic naan. Had curry made with medium heat. It was good n hot. Enjoyed. Curry also had great flavor without being "watery" (as I've experienced at other places). Samosa filling texture was moist and flavorful. Garlic Naan was good n garlicky. Bread was a thinner more crispy texture than I usually have had, but VERY good. Will sample more items.

Really enjoyed dinner with my family here after a movie at LA Live. The highlight was the server. He was young, professional, and very knowledgeable about the food. We've been to India and could tell the food was authentic! Careful with the spice level if you don't like spicy. We love it spicy but if you don't maybe order it 0 or 1 hahaha. Nice atmosphere and view of the city, easy street parking in the evening! Will be back soon!

Ordered Pani Puri to go and they literally just gave me shells and the water. I called earlier in the day to ensure everything would be separated since it's a to go order, lady on the phone was kind and said it would be. By the time I picked it up, the restaurant was empty with just 2 dudes behind the counter. Once I got home and opened the bag and realized everything was missing, I immediately called them, started talking, and the dude on the phone HUNG UP ON ME. Could have accidentally hung up, no worries. I called back, and my call won't even go through. This is so unbelievably dumb and annoying.

I love Indian foods and this place didn't disappoint! We ordered samosa for appetizer and shrimp tandoori and chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Also got mango lassi. Samosa: a good size samosa filled with fillings inside. So yummy Shrimp tandoori: served with rice under. Was a bit salty for me Chicken tikka masala: not pictured but it was my favorite! Served with rice. Perfect with the naan Mango lassi: goes well with dishes There is a private parking lot which is very nice. The ambiance is pretty casual. Overall the service was good

Bombay Beach has a massive space in DTLA on 7th west of the 110. Everyone is really friendly and they'll take care of you. This is a good option for Indian food in this part of town. Chicken Tikka Masala: The chicken is tender. The curry is really flavorful with a nice spicy kick. Ordering: Order at the counter. Grab a number and they'll bring your food out right away. Dining Area: They have a massive dining room with many tables. Parking: There's street parking, but it's difficult to find spots. You may end up walking half a mile. On my way there, I noticed that they have a covered parking area.

The food was good. I especially liked the frankie. The interior was nice as well. I would give it at least four stars if I were only considering those. However, the neighborhood is terrible, and even though there's free parking, the parking lot is a bit too rough for me not to mention it. The menu is via QR code and very sparse on information. They should at least provide a brief description of the food. Lastly, at least when I was there, the service was lacking. It was a youngish man who seemed a bit disinterested. If you go here, spend some time looking at Yelp and the menu ahead of time. Know what you are going to order before you arrive, and you will probably give it at least four stars.

Delicious Indian food and beautiful restaurant! I would recommend this place over and over.

We were nearby for a concert at the Teragram Ballroom and hoping to get a quick dinner in before the performance started. We arrived right at 5 pm (they have a break between 3 - 5 pm) and got seated by the window. Good thing we arrived right at dinner opening because several other tables came after us and I can see that the food was made to order and would take some time if we had not arrived when we did to make it to our concert. Our group of four ordered a couple items to share, family-style. We ordered a mild chicken tikki masala ($18 and comes with a small bowl of white rice), mild aloo kobe ($8.95), mild aloo parantha ($8.95), chicken naan ($10.95), and pani puri ($10). We each also checked in on Yelp for a complimentary samosa. Everything was delicious, and mild still gives enough kick, but is palatable for those who can't handle spicy dishes. The standout was the pani puri. Friend J usually can't find this item on the menus of most Indian restaurants so she was super stoked to see it on Bombay Beach's menu and to find that it was oh so good to boot. It was so good, we ordered a second one, even though we were gonna be full with all the stuff we ordered. In addition to sharing the food, we each got our own drinks: chaa for $5, house pinot noir for $10 (very generous pour), and Bombay cold coffee for $7 (tasted more like a milkshake to me, they made sure to ask me first if it was okay that it was made with milk). The drinks complemented the meal perfectly. We ended up finishing around 6:10 pm and made it in time to line up in the general admission line for the concert, with 20 minutes to spare before doors open. There's 2-hour metered street parking around the area, just don't be shy to head a couple of streets over if the immediate adjacent street is full of cars.

Very good food- VERY. I mean, the papadom, the garlic naan, the tandoori tikki, the korma- all very good. Service was very slow. Polite, but very slow. I might suggest take out over dining in, partly because the neighborhood isn't exactly vibing.

Came here last night around 7p and had an okay experience. When the server came, we tried to order and they told us some of the dishes like the takkos and another appetizer were not available b/c it was too busy and it would take too long to make. Even though it was 7p, a regular dinner time. Would have made sense if it was close to closing time or something. I was further confused since it did not look busy... The place was a 1/3-less than half full, what do they do when the restaurant is almost full? Since this place a bit more fusiony, I was hoping to try the more unique dishes like the takkos so that was weird. Ended up ordering more traditional dishes since that's all they had. Food came fast and we ended up getting the vegan tikka masala, pani puri, shrimp tandoori and garlic naan. The tikka masala was a bit too acidic so not great, the pani puri were larger than I've had and hard to eat in one bite, even though it is something that requires being eaten in one bite. The filling was not that great or flavorful. The best stuff was the shrimp tandoori, good flavor and spice. The garlic naan was good too, not too doughy, nice crisp and texture. The space itself is fine, there's a theme they are trying to go for but not sure if it was well executed. Also three of us were sat at a small high table that was too small for all three of us and we had to keep telling them to take dishes away to make room since only 1-2 dishes could fit on the whole table with our individual plates. I don't really get why they choose to make some tables high tables and others not? To feel like street food vibe? Either way it was uncomfortable to eat dinner at. Even though this place is only a mile from me, and there's actually covered parking which is great for the area being near DTLA, I don't have any reason to come back here. Service was weird, food was not that good and the vibe of the restaurant was meh so none of the reasons you'd want to come to a restaurant were great. I don't even have pics from the place because the food looked just fine.

Been wanting to try this place for some time. Was finally in the area for business and decided to stop for a quick lunch. So good! Love Indian food but seems hard to find in LA/Socal. This is definitely worth the visit. My main dish was chicken tikka masala (medium) which was perfectly saucy and tender. Went perfect with naan. Service was a little slow/relaxed despite it being empty. But the workers were really nice and made sure that I come back again.

Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken Tacos, and Saag Paneer were amazing. Service was great, nice family oriented business owned by Punjabis. Highly recommend!

Visited back in November 2021. Parking in DTLA is usually hard to find, so I parked in a lot further away and walked over. Place was nice, but the service was slow. Took a good half hour for a food to come out, and it wasn't as warm as hoped. Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Biryani, Saag Paneer, Samosa Plate, Garlic Naan, and Mango Lassi. Food tasted good, but not good enough for me to come back.

Bombay Beach serves very good food that's usually fresh and flavorful. I've ordered from them multiple times and have been happy with the quality. There was one instance where the yogurt in the dahi puri tasted old--almost rancid--but when I called to let them know, they were responsive and replaced it, which I appreciated. Overall, their food is consistently tasty, though the prices are a bit higher compared to other spots in the area. That said, the quality is generally worth it. I'd still recommend Bombay Beach if you're looking for flavorful Indian street food with good customer service.

It was rainy day and we wanted to have some Indian food. Found this place on Yelp with very high ratings. They are located in the edge of DTLA and the neighborhood was a bit sketchy. There is a garage in the building but is lying if I said wasn't a little concerned about my car during lunch. We walked in and the restaurant was completely empty. The young man who greeted us and showed us to our table turned out also to be the cook. I must confess that by this point I was more than a little skeptical. But, I realized I was completely wrong once the food was served. Everything was very delicious. The flavors were all on point. Plus the service was excellent. If I have to nitpick then I wish there was a little more chicken in the delicious tikka masala. The veggie korma was also very tasty. The garlic naan was hot and crispy on the edges. Our favorite was the shrimp tandoori. One of the best we've had. The ambiance is modern with hip music piped thru the loudspeakers. According to the staff, they are quite busy in the evenings bc lunch diners tend to expect buffets at Indian restaurants and they don't do buffet. Definitely will be back.

Prepare to have your tastebuds blown away. It's been a long time since I've been truly wowed by vegan food in LA and Bombay Beach created an emotional experience with food that literally had me saying DANKY at every bite! Started with my first sip of Thums Up soda which I loved and then I was caught off guard by an Indo-Asian dish that 'til this day I'm savoring! We are in LA, so you know they had to put a spin on traditional plates to create some Indo-Mexican dishes like Takkos and their Indian Burrito (aka Frankie). Then the Indo-Italian pizza came out and I was just floored. Three people I shared the pizza leftovers with said, "It's the best pizza we've had in a long time," and that included someone that formally lived in NY. Their traditional Indian food with a vegan twist was so well thought out as an ode to their mother, that many customers often order the vegan dishes. From the music that had kids and parents dancing next to their tables, to the welcoming service and the many visiting Indians that make it a point to eat at here when visiting LA this spot is officially a vegan FOODIE DESTINATION. Fantastic food! The Frankie's are the best invention ever!!! The owner is super customer service oriented. The restaurant is clean. Family friendly. Great place to stop before or after a show at the Teragram ballroom. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and the great food. Your kiddos are adorable and anytime we are in the area we are def eating here again!

Amazing food, Amazing staff, great ambiance. Have been dining in as well as ordering food from Bombay beach for past 3.5 years and it just one place thats so close to indian taste. The right amount of spices and flavour, not so much of twist to cater other audiences. Love their authenticity to indian food. Must try chana masala, aloo paratha, masala fries and vindaloo

I had the Chili Chicken at a Yelp event last night and OMG- I'm craving it right now!!!!! So good! I don't see it on the menu, though. But since I liked that and it was really good, it made me want to try out other things from this place. Can't say too much about the service since the event was just grab and go, but the food attendant was friendly. The yelp event ambiance was really nice! It was at the Beaudry apartment complex.

This cute Indian spot in DTLA always satisfies my craving. I'm a sucker for their samosa chaat, which I often eat as a main as the portion is pretty sizeable. Their gobi manchurian, butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, dahi puri, and chicken tikka masala are all favorites. I've had mixed experiences with the frankies and chili paneer though. Great casual place for classic Indian dishes and street food.

I ordered online and an after an hour of getting my order accepted, I receive an email and txt that something went wrong with my order and it will be cancelled. Couldn't believe that it took them an hour to inform me this as we had a team lunch and left us in a tough spot. Had to run out and pick up something else last minute. This review is only based on the service as we did not get to try their food.

Food was very fresh and tasted amazing. Staff is very friendly and helped me pick what I would like. Large selection of beers too.

First thing's first. Restaurant's website would not load. Ordered through 3rd party app (Grubhub) got lamb masala and chicken biriyani. On the app it said the lamb masala came with a side of rice (see attached photo). The dish did not come with a side of rice so currently waiting for rice cooker to finish making rice while the food gets cold. Additionally, at restaurant the staff asked me to click some "confirm pickup" on Grubhub that was not there. Will update review with taste.

Still fire after. My friend had to come here after the first. Were we feeling it the same??? Yes. We will be back because it's that good.

The food was exactly what I expected and the service was great I would recommend the Bombay beach To anyone who is looking for a nice place to eat and enjoy the day.

FYI if you order food to go (even if you select rice), they will not provide rice. When we called to say my chicken tikka masala did not have rice, the lady said that's how it is, they only give you rice at the restaurant. When we asked for a partial refund, she said she couldn't refund us because the rice was $0. Her solution: she'd give us free rice next time we came into eat at the restaurant. I told her there would not be a next time.

No!! No!! Very disappointing to see the cashier using the same gloves he used to grab a dirty rag to clean the tables with, grab the seasoning to put on my chicken tikka masala! I turned it away!! That is NOT HYGIENIC!! Take the gloves off!!!!! Then he is grabbing the clean plates and cutlery with the same gloves!!!! Will never go back!!!

Me and the hubs were staying in downtown LA and we were craving some Indian cuisine. After a few searches on YELP! I came across BOMBAY Beach. We ordered butter chicken, garlic naan, chicken biryani, samosas and chicken tikka. Yo I really forgot how expensive Indian food can be ‍. My hubs devoured the garlic naan as I did the samosas . The chicken biryani was kinda but it was !!! To say the least we were stuffed!!!!

the environment was very clean and empty but in a slightly sterile way because no diners were there. nobody acknowledged us when we walked in and service was kind of lackluster (we had to actively seek out a server to place our orders after no one came). our food came at least 40 minutes after we ordered even though there were no other customers except some people who walked in halfway through our meal. we could see the chefs behind a clear barrier who did look like they were cooking so maybe they just had a lot of delivery orders slowing them down. only certain entrees came with rice, so our lamb curry and butter chicken had rice, and the paneer tikka masala and saag paneer did not. not only that, but the rice portions that came were tiny and maybe half the amount we get at other indian restaurants here. samosas were fine but the paneer tikka masala was very mid and tasted too strongly of tomatoes. i felt that there were also very few pieces of paneer (which were already smaller than usual), but my friend's saag paneer literally had about two pieces. a little sad and confused about how all the previous reviews loved the food and service because ours was subpar and not worth the long wait. overall our food was only okay and was far too expensive considering the quality and quantity we got

To start off AMAZING! From start to finish, everything we had was delicious. We got to the restaurant and it was not busy, there was just a couple people BUT as we were waiting for our order the restaurant very quickly filled up! So it was clear that people really enjoy this place. Our server was very polite. The shrimp tandoori was the first item out and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked, not over done at all. The biryani was spicy (we ordered medium spice) it was a true medium and still flavorful. The paneer was bangin! Creamy and amazing! It was perfection with the naan. The chicken tikka was again another delicious plate but I wish there was more chicken in the dish. No complaints whatsoever. I will definitely be making a stop here the next time I'm in town!

My boyfriend and I have drove by a couple times and wanted to try. It was a weeknight and service was great. We were offered suggestions on beers that would pair well w what we ordered. We want to come back to try more items on the menu!

Horrible service!! I went inside to place a $500 catering order for some of my employees and you guys all 4 of you just stood in the back and didn't ask how I was or take my order for 5 mins. I took a video of this and will be posting on clients social media. Nobody ever took my order and there was no line or barely anybody inside. Super unprofessional. Your loss... You never know who is who in LA and you need to be more careful. Someone could have a lot of power and you never know.

I was super excited to try this place. My friend was telling me how this place has vegan offerings and the reviews are really great. Lately, I have been gravitating towards Indian food especially, with the colder weather. The dishes just warm me up and the food is comforting. What was ordered: 1) Garlic Naan 2) Mushroom Masala 3) Vegetable Biryani Pros: there is a parking garage that makes it convenient to park. The place is clean, spacious, and the service is good. Cons: the food was alright. I guess I was expecting more, especially with their rave reviews, but it was just average. The garlic naan was my favorite. The vegetable biryani was my least favorite. There was definitely an ingredient that was displeasing and the mushroom masala was eh. Very cool that this place has vegan options and the art on the exterior makes it easy to spot, even though I do think the actual name of the restaurant gets lost and can be difficult to see during the day.

Hit the spot adding some comfort food to our Oscar night watch party. Kudos to Angut!

This place was delicious! My first time going this past weekend and I can't stop thinking about it . I live in Orange County and I've been raving about it to my GFs and we're planning on going for our next girl dinner. The service was perfect as well , very informative what all the sauces were and what they paired well with. The owner is friendly and you can tell takes pride in his business.

10/10 food was so good! Came in late at night, staff must have been tired but still took us and did great. The chicken tikka masala spicy so good! Coming back for that! Ordered our child chicken tandoori She approved. . Only complain how little nan was given.

After seeing all the great Yelp reviews, I had to stop by this spot on the way to a show at the nearby Teragram Ballroom. It did not disappoint. We got vegan tikka masala, garlic naan and rice. The server was very friendly and recommended a Taj Mahal beer for us to split. It was a perfect compliment to the meal. We got spice level mild+ which was perfect for us. A little kick, but not over the top. Really clean place and festive atmosphere with lively Indian music playing. I highly recommend this place!

It's a nice size restaurant with good menu options. The service was good. The ambience needs to improve quite a bit to elevate it a bit. They have good, fresh, and tasty dishes - just need to control their flavorings a bit so it not too salty or too sweet. Would like to see how well they adapt the changes next time we are in town again.

The service was good, the only thing I ordered was the Pani Puri, it was really good. Its was my first time trying it. I will come back and try other things, they have parking in the back for free. And they play music and the staff was very nice. The inside decor is really nice too and you can kind of see how they make some of the dishes.
