New Restaurant Openings in Seattle for 2021 | Eater Seattle

"This fast-casual Capitol Hill concept focuses on Indian-flavored burgers with patty options like aloo tikki, pan-grilled paneer, chicken, and lamb, accompanied by sides such as masala fries, samosas, and chaat, plus lassis and shakes and desserts like rasmalai and gulab jamun for takeout and delivery." - Gabe Guarente

Lebanese-Mexican Food Pop-up Lupe’s Situ Tacos Sets Up Shop at Tractor Tavern | Eater Seattle

"A new fast-casual spot focused on Indian cuisine is coming to Capitol Hill, and restaurateur Amadreep Singh says the menu will be mostly “Indian fusion,” with patties that could include aloo tikki twists, curried chickpeas, and lamb. Details are still coming into focus, but Singh aims to open by the end of April in the space formerly occupied by Pho Huy." - Gabe Guarente

Google
I had lofty expectations for this place, but it felt flat. The ambulance, while inviting, was subtly ruined by videos of a bunch of silly sounding Punjabi songs. The menu definitely looked interesting and it's not often, if at all, that one finds paneer and omelette burgers on the menu. The omelette burger arrived looking regal. But it was too big and steaming to eat easily and very soon it collapsed into a salad. It tasted great, but was hard to eat. The aloo tikki chaat was mediocre and it didn't resonate with me as much as I'd have liked it to have. The balance of the chaat flavors was not optimal. This was also the case with the samosa. It appears the blends are spice forward without focusing on the other elements. The masala chai was on point, however, and it's a good reason alone to visit this place.

Google
This place gets a bump up in rating because you get a lot for the money, both in flavor and quantity. It really feels like a food truck turned brick and mortar. Solid lunch spot, and no doubt it’ll become a regular spot for anyone in the area, if for a different set of flavors if nothing else. If you like this place it’s worth checking out SpiceWalla, and vice-versa.

Let's Go DoDo! (.

Google
Clean place. Empty. Burger very very low quality. Super cheap buns. Generic 🍟. Yes they do put a little Indian spice/sauce on the lamb burger but it's very dry. Half to leave half my meal it was so unsatisfying and low quality. Again, the place is super clean inside and nice. If you absolutely have to eat here eat one of the other suggestions that people have on here and not the burger. Even the ketchup is super watery and low end.

Google
I generally have low expectations of Indian restaurants in Seattle. However, this place has really good food. We ordered the veggie burger, masala fries, and aloo paratha. All three were really tasty and authentic. It’s a great place to grab a snack or enjoy a quick meal in downtown Seattle. I would visit again.

Google
I loved the Bombay Veggie Burger—good option if you are looking for vegetarian Indian burger, and it even reminded me a bit of the McDonald's veggie burger in India. The Mango Shake was spot on, paneer wrap was ok and the prices were really reasonable. The place has a simple setup, but the large windows offer a nice view, especially when it's raining. Guri helped us with the parking and provided great service with the food too

Manvi S.

Google
The paneer burger used to be mind blowing. I would have become vegetarian if I could eat it every single day. But they switched out the cheese to low quality American cheese which is not even real cheese by the way and I’m really disappointed with how it has affected the burger taste. Please bring back the original recipe! Serving quality food is worth it, it’s what keeps people coming back !!! Please please !!

Kirti S.

Google
Was craving Indian Style Veggie Burgers and my Brother recommended this place. Their veggie burger was very close to the McVeggie served in Indian McDonalds. The tikki could have been better but no complains as this was the best veggie burger I've had in the U.S. Still have to try their aloo tikki version. The garlic fries were also yum! The Ambience was great as well. Would definitely recommend this place for vegetarian burger lovers!!

Google
What a hidden gem! We visit Seattle regularly but never heard of this place. Happened to be around this restaurant and decided to eat in. It was just after they opened, so the place was empty and very clean and peaceful. The food was even better. The burgers are flavored like they are in India -- way more flavorful for my Indian taste buds at least, compared to an average American burger. The buns in the burgers and in the vada pav were so soft, they just melted in your mouth. The chai was great too. Can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
It was almost empty at 7 on a Friday, which worked out great for my party! The service and ambiance are good. Food came out fast and hot. I just had samosas, which were delicious, but everything we tried was great and very reasonable in price even though portions are good sized. I'm definitely coming back to try other offerings, like the desserts and paranthas.

Yelp
A very solid local spot to have. The service at the front is very friendly and they got my food in a reasonable amount of time. The overall atmosphere is very casual in the restaurant with nothing too fancy. I got both the Bombay Paneer Burger and the Bombay Veggie Burger both were very tasty and very flavorful. I preferred the paneer burger however the veggie burger itself was very good. A side note was that the veggie burger was a bit spicier than the paneer burger but it was the perfect amount of spice

Yelp
Stopped by this place after I saw a fellow food blogger mention in their social media. Went in with friends and ordered Aloo Tikki, Lamb and Beef burgers. They were all okay, I wouldn't rave about it for sure. Having eaten better Indian Burgers, I felt this place a bit on the overhype spectrum. Chai tasted so bad, I wouldn't take it if you are a fan of Masala Chai, stay away lol Service was good and quick, place was pretty empty for Saturday brunch.

Yelp
Small place but neat and clean, great for appetizers. Tried the Bombay Paneer, Bombay Chicken, Vada Pav and Masala Fries. Everything had a nice masala taste especially the masala fries. Fast service. We got our order in under 10 minutes.
google avatar

Sundeep K.

Yelp
Tried Aloo Tikki and Panner burger. Both tasted good. Aloo Tikki reminded me of McAloo Tikki from India. Would come back again
google avatar

Divya S.

Yelp
The food here is mind-blowing as usual. Their aloo paratha is the best I've had in Seattle. The owner/guy at the front desk greeted us with a smile and is very sweet. Also loved their chai. There wasn't a lot of crowd as we dined on a weekday. The ambiance is casual. Honestly, this place is our go-to when we work out of Seattle office.
google avatar

Yelp
A late night snack of spring rolls will always hit the spot. The spring rolls are fried and come with a sweet chutney to dip.

Yelp
Wandering around Capitol Hill looking for a good place for food, we happened upon this fantastic and unique burger option! A burger place with an Indian flare, inexpensive, quick, friendly, and unique! But not so unique that things are unrecognizable... A perfect place for an Americanized palate to have something a little less than normal. Good value, yummy from start to finish and won't break your pocketbook! I'm still sitting here with masala spices on my lips from the last of my fries and yet I'm already fantasizing about returning
google avatar

Smrithi S.

Yelp
Recently found out about this place and we had to try it out. We got Papri Chaat, Paneer Burger, Aloo Paratha, and Mango shake. The Papri chaat and Aloo paratha were good, we loved the Paneer Burger and Mango shake. We'll have to try out the Chicken Burger next time.
google avatar

Yash K.

Yelp
This is an awesome hidden spot in Capitol Hill for some Indian Burgers, Chaat and Vada Pav. There aren't a lot of options in this area to get a Vada Pav and this place is worth checking out if you're craving one. I just had the Vada Pav so I wouldn't comment on the other things on their menu. For $7.99 I got 2 pieces of vada pav, with some green and sweet chutney, onion and jalapeño. There are definitely some better options on the eastside but I would say it was pretty flavorful and would hit the spot if you're looking for one in the area.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place by accident, but I'm glad I did. I love Indian food and was craving some today, and boy, this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very bright and inviting. As soon as you enter, smiling faces greet you as they take your order even after hours! Deepak was our server, we arrived after closing and he was still all smiles and polite! Food ordered: ALL AMAZING! Beef roll Spring roll Veg burger Garlic fries

Yelp
Yummy paneer burger! Gobbled it up before I could click a picture! Got it delivered, super late at night. Happy there is a good savory place that can satisfy late night cravings! Esp spicy indian

Yelp
I get takeout from here all the time. The food is always hot and fresh. Love the crispy fries. The burgers are flavorful, cooked well, and have the perfect amount of spice. The service is always friendly and they are very quick!

John W.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING. Stopped in randomly with my partner after seeing it on the delivery apps and around the neighborhood, and we will definitely be back! The staff were so friendly, the space so clean and comfortable. Most importantly, the food was so delicious!! Started with the samosas, which were very tasty. Partner got the double cheeseburger and loved it. I got the paneer burger, and it was so good! And it actually had a nice spicy kick (if you order it that way), unlike everything else in Seattle that says it is spicy, but isn't. Definitely try their masala fries, probably my favorite fries on the hill. Thanks Bombay Burger! We will be back!!
google avatar

Yelp
I was told to try this place because as a muslim-american, finding delicious and flavorful bites is hard in Seattle. I ordered the burger and honestly, I was not impressed. The service was good, the ambiance also okay, but I really do hold people accountable for what they recommend me as I take food seriously. More seriously than the critic in Ratatouille. High hopes meet realistic reality of a sub-par burger that is small in size, lacks flavor, and overall not what I expected. Don't worry, I told that friend to not share any other recs with me as I can't continue to be let-down lol. But for real, this place has potential to be great, a little more attention on detail of flavoring and boom, it's 5-stars.

Yelp
Bombay burger is actually good!! Take it from me, someone who eats Indian food on a daily basis, Bombay burger is Indian street food done well!! What I recommend: Masala Fries - chunky chaat masala really plays a role here and makes basic, boring fries, into a crave able delight. Since they're relatively new they probably don't carry chutney on the side but I would ask! They do have ketchup tho, aka America's favorite condiment Papdi chaat - next time I get this I'll ask for it spicy but pretty flavorful chaat and it wasn't too heavy! Burgers- both the paneer tikka and the aloo burger are fantastic but I definitely lean more towards the aloo (potato) one. It comes with crisp veggies and a warm patty. So so good. Also these guys are nice! They let us play DJ! Definitely recommend!!

Yelp
Best Indian burger in Seattle. We tried the paneer and veggie burger, both were insanely good and made fresh to order. Deepak took our order and he was very courteous and friendly. Highly recommend this place to all people on Yelp.

Akshay Arun P.

Yelp
The paneer burger was good but the paneer roll was very bad. It should have been called the green pepper roll.
google avatar

Nupoor B.

Yelp
Love the food here! Kudos to the chef for the best aloo parathas I've had in ages! We love their burgers too, perfect Indian flavored burgers. Overall the ambience in the restaurant is great as well.
google avatar

Ashwin S.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from here on the way out of the city. They had my order ready within 5 minutes which I was very appreciate of. Ordered a Bombay vegetarian burger and masala fries (ordered seperately). It was very reasonably priced and tasted really good as well. Having been spoiled by Indian food in the Bay Area. Generally, found Seattle Indian food to be disappointing but this really hit the spot. I have them marked for future visits to try out the rest of their menu.
google avatar

Harish A.

Yelp
It's a fabulous place. Friendly, fast service and great food. We had Paneer Burgers, Aloo Paratha, Panner roll and all of these were top quality and delicious. Vada Pau was with a healthy wheat bread, nice and crispy, but it had missed out on the peanut powder. It's a clean place with nice Bollywood and Punjabi music.
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
Excellent food! I usually get it to go and orders are always ready in a timely manner. I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered.
google avatar

Aditi S.

Yelp
Best mango lassi I've had in Seattle!! I usually order pick up on door dash from here and it never disappoints. They're also pretty quick. Great go to if you want Indian-ish food / snacks. The serving sizes aren't super big so I'd recommend getting a few things if you're hungry. I really like their Bombay paneer burger, masala fries, and papdi chaat. But honestly I haven't had anything bad here either!

Kayla W.

Yelp
We wanted to try a new burger place and omg I'm so glad we came in!!!! The food is AMAZING FRESH AND FLAVORFUL! You have to try their fries! We're coming back before we leave town
google avatar

Lizzy L.

Yelp
Hidden gem for Indian fusion! I've never had an Indian burger prior to this, but I was definitely not disappointed! So much flavor was packed into each bite of my burger - I had the aloo tiki burger and the masala fries which was also delicious! The smoothies are great too- recommend mango. Service is nice and ambiance is casual.
google avatar

Hiral P.

Yelp
Bombay burger is a good place for Indian street food. The prices are pretty high for Indian street food, but since they are located in the middle of caphill it makes sense. The Bombay chicken burger tasted great and was seasoned well. The aloo tiki chaat was lacking. It was just smothered in chutneys and the aloo tiki itself didn't really taste that great. Don't go here if you're looking for a fancy meal, but other than that I recommend the burgers here.

Rahma B.

Yelp
I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but I think the food was good and affordable. As for the samosa chaat, it tasted better after adding on the chutneys but even then I feel like it lacked some flavor or salt. Not the best but definitely not the worst and worth atleast one try.
google avatar

Mike T.

Yelp
The burger was just OK. It did have good seasoning and flavor, but the bun itself almost seemed like something you buy at Safeway, and the lettuce, and cheese inside looked very sad. I wanted to like it more, but based on the burger I got, it was very mediocre. Not horrible, just not great. Not for $8.50 when you can get 2 Deluxes for the same price at Dicks for pretty much more or less the same kind of burger.
google avatar

Rutuja M.

Yelp
Aloo bhaji inside Burger can be more spicy. You can add more stuffing inside parathas.. Samosa was good. You can add more "tea" to make it taste more like tea and less like cardamom milk. Otherwise everything was good!
google avatar

Varshini S.

Yelp
Bombay Burger was a fun, new find in Cap Hill. My fiancé and I enjoyed dinner here, comprising of 1 chaat item & 2 burgers. Their prices are high for chaat. It's disappointing but expected because of their prime location & the fact their main audience is not a group familiar with chaat/Indian street food. That being said, the food is still really good, flavorful, and pretty authentic. We shared the samosa chaat and it was really nice. Portion is generous too! The paneer burgers are also really good. They come with regular fries, but if you want a specialty type, the cashier can ring up a combo meal for you that saves you a buck or 2 and includes a soda. I wish the burger held up more firmly (maybe a better bun is needed), but the flavor was fully there. Lastly, I wish the specialty fries (especially garlic!) was a bit more interesting than regular fries with seasoning shaken on top of it. Even with some of the minor issues I had with the place, it was overall a nice find and a good meal. I would think of this place as more of a quick lunch type spot in the future.

Kai G.

Yelp
I got the lamb burger and my sister got the paneer burger. Both are delicious!!! We will be returning!
google avatar

Meenakshi M.

Yelp
Paranthas are really good! They can do better with burgers. I found them ok - tried paneer burger. It has too much color in it that puts me off.
google avatar

Caroline M.

Yelp
Very surprised at the low-ish rating! Just ate here for the first time and really enjoyed it. Had the lamb burger- meat was nicely seasoned, toppings were like a traditional hamburger but still very tasty. My friend had the paneer burger which was delicious - some of the best paneer I've ever had. Soft and full, not too spongey or hard. We also got samosa chaat, which was SO good! I loved all of the toppings- the chutney mixed with yogurt and spices led to so much flavor. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

AJ L.

Yelp
Standout spot in Cap hill for flavorful, unconventional yet authentic-tasting Indian bites. Solid appetizers, the masala seasoning on the fries combined with the (tamarind) dipping sauce was great. Fun to try, would definitely swing by again if I was in the area looking for lunch.

Swet J.

Yelp
5/5 spice Bombay Aloo Tikki burger was just perfect with right amount of masala in my masala fries. They delivered a perfect meal!
google avatar

Gouri V.

Yelp
Yummy samosa chaat, mango lassi and sweet potato fries. We loved everything we tried and plan to be back soon Street parking is a bit hard to find.
google avatar

Prateek R.

Yelp
If you're looking for something freshly prepared, this is not the place to have food. - I don't think they make their samosas fresh nor the aloo tikkis. (5 large boxes of Asoka's samosas just arrived to the kitchen as I was having food) - The paneer burger was not great. The bun was soggy with the chutneys. There wasn't any good flavor to enjoy it
google avatar

Sushma S.

Yelp
Tried the samosa chaat here , it was good. I didn't enjoy the butterscotch milkshake at all, it was extremely sweet and didn't really taste like butterscotch .
google avatar

H K.

Yelp
Good, quick service! We got the bombay chicken burger and aloo tikkis. The burger was spiced perfectly and pretty large for an Indian burger. The aloo tikki was ok, really dry and overly spiced, I wouldn't order it again. I will be going to Cap Hill often for this burger and trying out other menu items

Rachel K.

Yelp
Overall decent for the price, but I wouldn't go out of my way. Food was ready so quick! I wasn't expecting the chicken burger to be all chopped up little pieces, but the flavor and spice was great. Chaat was also good. The masala fries were okay, just regular freezer fries with the seasoning.

Cole D.

Yelp
The appeal of this place for me was menu items for less than $10 which, if you're a light eater, could definitely satiate the appetite if you're getting one of their burgers. I like a well-sized meal so i got their bombay chicken burger and their aloo tikki. the service was decent--for a counter service place I don't expect much so i'd say they check the box. they were nice about recommending the aloo tikki, which turned out to be pretty good. the burger was great! very tasty and a bit of a kick too with the level 4/5 spice choice (next time i'm going for that full 5/5, though). only thing i'd change is the bun, which is moist & chewy, but not very great at keeping everything in/providing structure to the burger. that's more of a personal choice though, as i know a messy burger can be appealing to folks. the aloo tikki was amazing, albeit served a little lukewarm. the flavors still came through nicely and i love the yogurt/chutney sauce that i could spoon over the potato patties. would recommend to friends and i will ask they make sure it's heated up when i go back for it. ambiance was nice! very chill space, orange interior with some kitschy-looking paintings - unpretentious. giving a 5/5 overall because it promises nothing more than what it delivers and doesn't leave you wanting more. great spot.
google avatar

Anusha R.

Yelp
Pretty great food! This place had more Punjabi food than how their name goes! No complaints though! Love the burgers and chicken wings! Chaat is very good too. Probably one of the best in Seattle. The mango mousse cake was delicious. It wasn't too sweet.
google avatar

Harika N.

Yelp
Quick bite place. We had Bombay burgers and aloo tiki chaat. The aloo tiki chaat was flavorful, authentic and tasted good. Burgers were more shredded chicken.
google avatar

Srivatsa R.

Yelp
The food is okay. Not the greatest but okay. I'd look past the food if the folks who work there / own it were nicer. I just checked my credit card statements and I have gotten take out from there 64 times (they have only been open a few months) - yet its always a stand off when picking up food. The people who work there act like they are doing you a favor and treat you with utter disrespect at times. The only reason I dine here is because I live in the building, but after a while, its just not worth the agony for food that is merely okay. Stay AWAY unless you just want mediocre food and to be treated less than human.
google avatar

Manu V.

Yelp
Very clean pretty decent Indian burgers. The Combo deal has been my go to recently. Make sure to get the masala fries!!! Absolutely delicious.
google avatar

Arushi P.

Yelp
We came here for a snack and got the Aloo Tiki Chaat and Papdi Chaat. We liked the Papdi Chaat more, thought it had great flavor! The Aloo Tiki was also good, but had more garam masala then what we would've liked
google avatar

Tater S.

Yelp
Sad how quickly the quality here has fallen. When they first opened they were great. The buns were toasted, everything super fresh. The onion rings were excellent. Each time I have gone back the quality slips a bit. This last burger didn't taste great, the onion rings were those oddly uniform shaped rings that are mulched up onion in the shape of a ring. Before I would have said 5 stars, but now feel like I am being generous with the 2 stars. This has gone from being a favorite to reminding me a meal you would get at 7-11. Let me know if you get back to your original quality.
google avatar

Neetu L.

Yelp
We had the bombay lamb burger, chicken burger, veg samosas and fries. The food was delish! I'll definitely be trying more things on their menu soon.
