We arrived 40 mins prior to closing but that didn’t stop them from giving us an awesome experience. Reyansh was our waiter and he was very nice. The food was made immediately but we didn’t feel rushed at all. Every dish was cooked well. This place is great for affordable family dinners. We were seated in front of the kitchen so we witnessed the cool wok action. Most importantly, it was reassuring to see the kitchen clean. I’m looking forward to returning for their buffet.

The aromas that greet you upon entering are simply divine, hinting at the culinary delights to come. Each dish is a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and showcasing the chef's expertise. The service is attentive and friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the perfectly spiced curries to the fluffy naan bread, every bite is a true pleasure. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Indian dining experience.

Visited on a Saturday evening with a party of 11. Was a little surprised at how not busy and empty the place was between 630pm and 830pm. Ordered various appetizers and entrees with all ordered items being indo-chinese. The service was extremely good and courteous. The prices of appetizers and entrees are on the pricy side but worth dining at least one time at this place. 18% gratuity and 3% credit card surcharges are added to the total bill as you would expect most restaurants do these days.

Had a great dining experience this past weekend! The food was delicious and the service very good. They kindly brought a booster seat and covered water cup with a straw for my toddler. It had 2 separate menus for Indian and Chinese foods. We had a Chinese appetizer and Indian entrées. I would love to see this restaurant offer more fusion food.

This is a beautiful environment with beautiful chandeliers and tasteful elegant very clean private both. There's a big window looking into the eating area if you would like just stop and watch preparations. Shawn was a wonderful server. All the rest of the staff was welcoming and inviting. The tandoori chicken and the naan were incredible and every single dish was delicious. They change the menu daily. There's an even bigger buffet on the weekends but this one was remarkable very reasonably priced. Thank you for the special coupon! I could not have been better. Dessert included. *Manoj is also a wonderful staff member.

Lunch buffet on mother's Day. It was busy and full. Food was great and we enjoyed all the food varieties. My kids loved the food, not very spicy and mild for kids to eat. Excellent desert varieties!!! Moong dhal halwa was so delicious!!!! Overall a great experience with a good ambiance.

Google
I love the service and atmosphere, I had totally different expectations on food. I thought Indian Chinese food would be chinese food with Indian twist, but it turned out just American Chinese food with a lot of sauce... so totally not what I expected. I love Indian food, but not sure this Indian Chinese food. I was disappointed with the food.

Went here for the first time on a Friday night. It wasn’t too busy and we were seated right away. The service was very lackluster. We went with some friends who had previously visited months ago and wanted to give the place another try, they didn’t enjoy it the last time they visited either. It took them awhile to bring us drinks, we didn’t order any cocktails or anything, just soda and juices. The food took even longer. I overheard the table next to us complain about the time it took for the food to come out as well. When we did get the food, with the exception of the chicken Lollypops, it was very underwhelming. athe sweet and sour soup was decent. The volcano shrimp had a piece of hair on it. They offered to remake the food and honestly we didn’t even want another one because it wasn’t that good. We got a noodle dish which was alright and the Shanghai chicken and chicken fried rice were not worth it. None of these dishes were finished. The atmosphere was nothing special. The interior did look dark and modern. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Yelp
Buffet is great on Weekdays! Servers are more attentive too and the food is not all mish- moshed up like in weekends. (Achaar accidentally fallen into onions or yogurt etc.) Ambiance is nice...(however the owner really shouldn't be doing his paperwork in the Fri t of the restaurant. It's a little weird). Staff is very attentive and I will admit that the drinking glasses are really clean!

Yelp
I was a little nervous walking into this place as I was confused by the two different restaurant listings online (one Indian food and one indo-Chinese cuisine). Chopsticks is in the same restaurant as India House, it's just a different indo chinese menu. We were greeted and seated right away around 8pm. We weren't that hungry and only ordered 2 dishes. We ordered wet gobi Manchurian. For the second dish I wasn't sure if we should go with Hakka noodles or garlic chile noodles. We ordered the Hakka based on our servers valentine recommendation. The dishes came out and the gobi was excellent! The Hakka noodles however were completely bland. I made a horrible error and told Valent that the noodles were bland. They remade the dish "spicy". When it came back and we tried to eat it I almost died. I felt bad about sending the dish back and tried to eat it but it was "food challenge" spicy. They had to have worn a mask just to cook it! After 4 glasses of water we called Valent over and told him our pain. I ordered the Chile garlic noodles and they were amazing! Valent felt bad about our experience and compd us gulab jamen (we didn't ask, but we needed something to cool down the spice). Great service by Valent! Food was amazing! If you are in downtown Chicago and are craving indo-Chinese this is THE place to go!!!!

Yelp
The staff rated 200% as they served and adored me during my visit. Amazing. Food, service and atmosphere!! One happy mouth!! Great atmosphere and amazing food. Weekday Lunch Buffet was a treat I will repeat often. For only $17.99. !!!!

Yelp
Today 09/03/2025, I ordered Hawkins noodles with egg and chicken 65 fried rice, which was really delicious. Visit again soon for other dishes. Thanks

Yelp
Now this place was fun. I had went for noodles and ended up ordering the Indian buffet special. It was so good. Have no Idea what I was eating though it was delicious and fun to sample and try different items and combinations. Absolutely recommend. Staff was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere has a sophisticated appeal. I would 1000% recommend this place and would eat here again when back in the area.

Yelp
Every dish was packed with flavor, and I'm still craving the food. From the first bite to the last, everything was amazing! Our server was super patient and helpful. Can't wait to go back again. Highly recommend if you're looking for Indian flavors and great vibes!

Yelp
Ended up ordering on Uber eats while visiting the area for a couple of days. Food arrived per scheduled time and was warm-ish. The Gobi Manchurian was okay - something felt off but the masala was good! The Burnt garlic fried rice was delicious! I'm sure it will taste even better in the restaurant.

Yelp
If you're craving that true Indo-Chinese and North Indian experience in one place--Bombay Chopsticks is the spot with a commendable service! I got Chilly Garlic Noodles and Manchurian--flavor-packed and nostalgic Indian street-style taste then came Chana Masala with Bhaturas--it was next level! Soft, stretchy and airy. Also ordered Kadhai Chicken with Garlic Naan. Would love to visit again if in Naperville

Yelp
Good food. Ordered baby corn fry and burnt garlic fried rice. The garlic fried rice lacked bit of salt, however, the waiter was kind enough to get a new one for us. Good service, good ambience. They cater well to the customer

Yelp
Bombay Chopsticks is an Indo-Chinese restaurant that has an upscale vibe inside with good service and attention to food quality. I wish there was more Indian food available, but it's heavily Indo-Chinese. If that's what you're looking for, you'll find plenty of spicy dishes (90% of the menu) and the food is made relatively fast. The spicy chicken udon noodles were a clear winner in the assorted dishes we had, but the spicy dang dang noodles were also right up there in taste. I'd come back for the Indian buffet which appears to be more traditional. There's also a bar near the entry, which seems fun for a night out.

Yelp
I am a fan of a good Indian buffet, and I have to say this is a great Indian buffet! I'm so happy they started serving a lunch buffet. The restaurant itself is beautiful, well decorated, large, clean, a little swanky. I love that you can watch the chefs cooking through a large decorative window to the kitchen. The staff is impeccable and ready to serve. The atmosphere feels a little fancy, from the light fixtures to the high back tufted booths. Definitely a nice place to bring someone if you want to impress them. As for the food...phenomenal. We were blown away by the offerings. Everything was fresh, well made, and delicious! They bring fresh naan to the table, and are not stingy with it. This is officially our favorite Indian buffet! I can't believe it wasn't jam packed, once the word gets out it'll be hard to get a table. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We ordered the Szechuan Vegetable Balls, steamed vegetable momos, and hakka fried rice with egg. For drinks, we got a salty lassi which was good. No complaints there. The vegetable balls and momos were pretty good but I would not recommend the hakka fried rice. The rice was not very flavorful unless we added soy sauce and chili oil. The eggs also felt like they were old and had a bit of smell. The service was to the point, no extra fluff. The place is decorated nicely and has good light.

Yelp
My wife was in the mood for "Indo-Chinese". Ordered 4 dishes via their online portal. The food was below par - Manchow soup + chicken (paid extra for that protein) was a broth with minced chicken for ~ $9 . Next was their "chef-special" Dang-Dang fried rice (we did not finish it - nobody in my house wanted seconds). That last item was 2 x Hakka Noddles with chicken (again paid extra for protein). And Kung Pao Chicken curry. Guess the price went paid - ~ $100 for dinner. OMG . NOW adding SALT INTO THE WOUNDS - This restaurant which is supposed to be "high-end" dining is charging 3% to use your Credit Card for ordering online. I am guessing shameful money-grab after charging exorbitant prices of their menu - they want to also COLLECT 3% . I dropped this restaurant from my places to eat.

Yelp
I have visited Bombay chopsticks multiple times and this time we went as a group of six. The ambiance was warm and upscale. We ordered five starters, four main courses, a soup and a masala soda. The service was quick. All the starters were really delicious. The golden fried baby corn was absolutely yummy. Among the main course we liked the chili garlic noodles and the chicken 65 fried rice. I was disappointed with the paneer 65 fried rice as it tasted like jeera rice mixed with chilli powder and paneer 65 pieces. The spicy dang dang noodles' sauce was not good. Overall it's a good place to hangout as a group and they have a plethora of options.

Yelp
We had a very enjoyable lunch here today. I appreciated that their menu was color coordinated so I could instantly find vegetarian options. The server was a bit rough around the edges, but he got the job done. He was not interested in being friendly, or creating a relationship with us. He was strictly there for business. He stuck a Google review card in my face at the end, after I already shared I planned to write a yelp. He told me there was no point in doing that because they don't "accept them". He was very aggressive and even walked me through the screen on my phone identifying how to write a five star review and proceeded to stand there while I did it. It was a shame because that put a bad taste in my mouth after I already was going to write a nice review. With all that being said the food made up for everything! The food came out very quickly, and was very delicious. I had the paneer with Manchurian sauce and my husband had the Asian style chicken tacos. I also ended up ordering the spring rolls. Everything was extremely overpriced. While the food was enjoyable, I'm not sure we will frequent often due to the over priced menu. For example, I paid $11.50 for three spring rolls that were cut in half on a plate- i've had these exact same spring rolls at other restaurants for closer to $6 to $8 dollars. Overall the restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, and ran efficiently, but too expensive.

Yelp
A good place to go for Indian Chinese. The decor is nice and very Asian. The service was nice and food was delicious . Would go again

Yelp
Visited this restaurant for dinner in Naperville. The ambiance was good, but the service was a bit slow. We ordered Honey Chili Potato - its taste was a bit off. Next, we ordered the Steamed Chicken momos - this was okay. Finally, we ordered vegetable balls in Manchurian Sauce with Fried rice. The vegetable balls entrée was good, but the fried rice didn't feel too fresh.

Yelp
Lunch buffet was ahhhmazing. Top notch service, cool decor and clean on the inside. The sizzling chicken is some of the best, very juicy and crispy.

Yelp
I'm going to be absolutely honest, the first time I had food at Bombay Chopsticks, everything seemed rather bland and same-tasting, HOWEVER, this time around the food was absolutely phenomenal. I don't know if the chef changed or the recipes, but the food is absolutely phenomenal. We started our dinner with Sweet Corn Soup, Coriander Soup and Udon Noodle Soup. They were all good, however, the star here was the Coriander Soup. Tart, comforting, hearty and delicious! For drinks we had the Frozen Mint Lemonade, Pina Colada and the Masala Soda. The Mint Lemonade and the Pina colada were the STAR here! For starters, we ordered the Chicken LOLLYPOPS, and boy oh boy, I could eat these for breakfast, lunch and dinner / these are THAT GOOD!!! Lastly, the main course. We ordered the egg fried rice, along with Mongolian Lamb and Chili Chicken (with gravy). Out of all of these, the chili chicken with gravy was the best. The fried rice was good, but I will likely try another kind in terms of Fried Rice. The Mongolian Lamb was NOTHING like Mongolian Lamb, it was full of gravy that tasted almost entirely like the Chili Chicken with no flavor of the actual Mongolian Lamb/Beef. That's the only reason why it his review gets four stars! Overall, the Ambiance is fantastic, the mood lighting and the interiors are super pleasant, and the server was incredibly friendly. Definitely recommending this place now!

Reema G.

Yelp
We came here on a Thursday night for dinner and after looking at the reviews, I didn't have high expectations but boyyyy did this restaurant not disappoint! We enjoyed everything we ordered. The lamb and chicken were so tender and juicy and we asked for the meals to have less spice and even then, all the dishes were so flavorful! The drinks weren't all that amazing and we probably could've done without them especially since we had so much food. The service was quick and our server was very attentive. It does get pretty noisy inside especially if there's little kids at neighboring tables but we still overall loved the experience. Would go again!
google avatar

Yelp
This is my second time visiting Bombay Chopsticks and overall I wanna say your experience will vary depending on what you get just because the menu is so large. I got the vegetable spring rolls and chili garlic noodles with chicken the other day and the portions were huge! I will say though it is a tad bit oily and some pieces of chicken were sort of tough to chew. The staff are always super attentive though which is a huge plus, and the restaurant itself is pretty fancy and well maintained.

Yelp
Good Indian fusion food Ambiance- beautiful, very clean, organized. Soups--- I LOVE their lemon coriander soup. Veggies were not diced but chopped but soup was yummy Also, ordered monchow soup- yukky... tasted stale. When complained they packed us hot and sour soup for compensation. But Schaumburg location makes good Monchow soup Ordered Cauliflower Manchurian and paneer hakka-- they were tasty but no difference in taste or color or presentation. Exactly same preparations. Service- good Server was nice I did not like that you have to pay and tip on their card reader, which is handheld by them. No sanitation, no gloves and they keep holding in their hand and you have to tip them and sign while they are holding it. They must come up with a better payment method.

Yelp
Spicy Dan Dan noodles is a must! If you are craving info Chinese, this place does it! They have so many choices, able to adjust the spice level, non veg and veg options. On the pricier side but totally worth the food. I am constantly craving the Dan Dan noodles!!
google avatar

Yelp
this is the beet baloneyyyy. the food was amazing and the food came quick. the ambiance is the best for a nice chill night.

Rupali K.

Yelp
Good food for rainy gloomy weather. We ordered veg. Manchaow soup and our fav. appetizer mushroom pepper fry. This time, I tried spicy dang dang noodles with veg, which was spicy. I changed machurian sauce to gravy for my veg balls main course. That was not a great move as gravy was very thin. Service was fast and good.

Yelp
Wednesday lunchtime buffet, good selection both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Food was hot and tasty. Clean restaurant and very attentive service from all staff today especially Oswald. Plan to try their buffet lunch one weekend.

Ashish D.

Yelp
Went there for lunch and had a good meal. The service was excellent the wait staff was coordial. We avoided the buffet and went for indi-chinese fare which was very delicious which made the visit very enjoyable. We will visit again

Yelp
I think this place's name is unfortunate, 'cos it sounds more like a fast-food joint than the posh supper club it is. Beautiful atmosphere and courteous pro service. An attractive bar up front wot appeared to be very well stocked. Had the "Shrimp Hakka" for Hors D' oeuvre. I asked for "Indian spicy" and it truly was. I scarfed the entire generous order down. A note here: I got turned on to "Hakka" cuisine in Toronto, and totally flashed (positively) on it. Hakka as explained to me cleaves a line between Chinese and Indian cuisines. This place is not strictly a "Hakka" resto, but the idea is kinda there. Entree was "Chengdu Stir-Fry Diced Lamb" More like a curry than a Chinese dish. Spicy, too. I was a bit disappointed, 'cos the dish, while splendidly spiced was very under-seasoned; with nary a salt shaker to be found. If there's not a salt/pepper service on the table, you're to take the Chef's work as rote. I make it a point to follow that dictum. Well... I reserved a portion of the entree to take home, and the dish bloomed when I added some Himalayan pink to it. The Yelp would have been 4 star, if the Lamb was seasoned perfectly. I also was put off by the server prodding me to put a favorable review of him in the little hand-held gizmo he put in front of me. I did so, only because the guy WAS a really attentive server and I did not feel I was BS'ing. He deserved a good mark. But I wanted to say "Hey! I'm Yelp Elite and I will give you your propers in my review!", but discretion is the better part of valor, and I held my tongue. This kind of thing is really tacky, and if that guy was at all a lame server, it would have cost him his tip, n'est ce pas?
google avatar

Mehruba A.

Yelp
I've been to this place a few times now and have had nothing but good experiences. The service is good and the food is also decent. I love that this place is on the nicer side as it's very hard to come by desi restaurants that are good with formal dining. The prices match the food quality and service you receive here.

Rajib A.

Yelp
Excellent food as always. Ask for Kumar to be your server, his work is top notch. It is a bit noisy, but which restaurant isn't on a Friday evening?
google avatar

Prerna V.

Yelp
Excellent service and food . We got so many varieties to choose from whether vegetarian or meat or seafood . The restrooms were very clean . We went on a busy weekend night with kids and the manager accommodated us pretty soon . A special shout out to our server Macwel !
google avatar

Khalid F.

Yelp
We went back a second time to try a couple new dishes. We ordered an American Chop Suey and Korean BBQ Chicken. The chop suey was good, but it didn't include a fried egg like the one at Taste in Downers Grove. We had to fry our own eggs at home to add. Although the sauce was on the sugary side, the sauce + crispy noodles was very satisfying. The Korean BBQ Chicken was on the spicy side, but very good otherwise. However, they didn't include rice with it. Normally with a non-noodle dish there should be rice included. Having gone there twice now, I would say the food is pretty good, but there are some shortcomings.

Glynda H.

Yelp
The food was very fresh and delicious. Jess's service was excellent and professional. The restaurant is very nice and clean. Glynda

Yelp
Best Indian cuisine I have ever had in my life. Came today and enjoyed the lunch buffet. Every single thing there was phenomenal. Buffet is served with tandoori chicken and naan, which was also amazing. Service was exceptional. Reyansh was our server and he was wonderful. Music was great, restaurant was spotless, all around a wonderful time, as well as a wonderful price for lunch buffet! Can't wait to return.
google avatar

Yelp
I am very pleased with the chicken tikka masala! After having another Indian restaurant in the area ~name not mentioned~ I was looking for something to remind me what good Indian food tastes like. Perfect saucy consistency of the tikka masala. I am so happy!! Good portions too. I had some leftovers that I ate for lunch the next day and it was still delicious with the perfect amount of spice!
google avatar

Sakshi S.

Yelp
First time we came to the Naperville restaurant. The dry cauliflower appetizer was amazing and crispy. But the hot and sour soup was just okay. The crispy bhel was okay. The chili garlic noodles and paneer chili garlic was on the sweeter side. We have only been to the Schaumburg branch and seems like the preparation is much different and better there. Next time will get: Chili paneer Corn snack Fried rice Veg Manchurian 7 spice vegetable with tofu
google avatar

Ishu J.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing ambiance, amazing service. The menu is extensive and the quality of food and service is amazing. If you are looking for jndo-chinese in Chicagoland, highly recommend this place.

J Q.

Yelp
Really unique food, tends to be super spicy but worth it if you can handle it. Crispy lamb is out of this world.
google avatar

Daredevil C.

Yelp
What kind of micro mini chicken lollipops are these? Like a serious rip off for the price y'all charge.. Are you really serious this is a whole appetizer for $16?? Pictures can prove my point.. Shocked to see what I took home as a take out.. None of us ate and pictures are taken after placing in a plate.. Hardly any meat on the bone.. Please avoid this place.. Other stuff I ordered weren't great as well..

Yelp
Great flavor, ambiance is great. We will definitely be back. Little gem of Naperville that is underrated.

Megha V.

Yelp
Just stopped by at bombay chopsticks! Again! Love the ambiance and the service. Raymond, our server was very kind to us. Thank you Raymond for your recommendations! We ordered chicken lollipop, chicken momos, chilli chicken gravy with steamed rice. Oh and lots of chilli sauce on the side. I'm just glad we don't have to drive all the way to Schaumburg anymore. Will definitely recommend everyone to try to momos steamed! Sorry we didn't take any picture. We were super hungry! We will be back soon! Thank you!

Yelp
Very good Indian fusion style menu. Mainly liked the ambience and the wide spread menu offering. Of course the items are pricey. But definitely a place to try, though not for regular visits. If we have cravings for Indian Chinese style, this could be a good choice. Also a good place to get someone with you if you guys are bored with regular Indian food. Loved the place visually

Yelp
We were celebrating my husband's birthday last night so we went for dinner. It was my first time visiting this restaurant. I was amazed by their service. Staff was really humble and smiling. They have really great menu for vegetarian. Drinks were really fantastic. Food quality was delicious. Even quantity was good too. Thank you Mr. Obott. I highly recommend this place. I will b visiting again too.

Gloria D.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with delicious Indo-Chinese food. My husband and our friends enjoyed the food. It was reasonably price considering it's a fancy looking restaurant. There's sitting for large or small parties. They have a nice glass window where guests can see into the kitchen and at times see the chef cook in open flame. I ordered the udon noodles with minced chicken and it was the highlight of our dishes! My husband ordered the Seven Spiced dish. Other friends order Szechuan rice, Kung Pao Chicken, and a paneer curry. For appetizers we got machurian soup and pan fried talipia in Thai style. We all enjoyed the food. We were just disappointed in the machurian and Kung Pao Chicken. They were just lacking in flavor. Asides from that all was delicious! We can't wait to go again! The restaurant is inside a large plaza with different Desi businesses and free parking. Our hosts and servers were really nice and recommended some dishes to try.

Yelp
I was extremely disappointed with Bombay Chopsticks in Naperville. I actually got FOOD POISONING from their food, and I never in my life have had such a reaction. We got their firecracker shrimp, spicy garlic chicken, Hakka chicken noodles, chicken lollipop, mango lassis, and virgin mojitos. I actually had severe vomiting from the food and felt extremely sick. Again, I don't have a sensitive stomach and have never experienced anything like this. After calling the establishment to ask for a full refund, the manager refused to listen to the fact that I experienced such distress. He belittled my reaction and I even told him that I had to call off sick from work today. He kept on denying it. I hadn't eaten anything that day except for their food. Please DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to get sick from their food .

Linda E.

Yelp
Always great service, nice quiet private booths. All Naan is delicious! Mango lassi fav drink (no alcohol). So many dishes to try. Buffet is a good place to start!!

Laura H.

Yelp
I enjoyed my dining experience. Had the chicken masala, rice and cream cheese naan. This was my first time eating at a restaurant with this cuisine. I cannot wait to go back and try more or the same thing because it was that good.

Yelp
This place is overpriced.looks like the owners want to cover their investments with steep pricing. There are amazing Chinese restaurants around the area which charge half what they charge and are very consistent In quality . Granted they may not be indo chinese, for example Lao Szechuan is simply delicious and will not hurt your pocket. Haveli also has decent indo chinese. Save your $$ in these tough times.

Yelp
First time here and the food is really flavorful for Chinese Asian fusion however a bit on the pricey side for the small portion sized items on the menu. The menu has something for everyone but acquired taste. Nice ambiance, and the staff is very friendly and helpful in suggesting options.
