The 10 Best Restaurants In Wimbledon

"We can’t think of a single person we could bring to Bombay Delight who would leave unhappy. From the colourful, cushion-filled dining room, to the fresh fish cart that’s wheeled over to the table, to the jovial happy birthday chorus that happens at least a couple of times every night—it’s a serious mood-booster. This spot, serving excellent Indian dishes (we’re fans of the tender chicken tikka trio and the creamy butter chicken curry), is a local favourite for celebrations of any kind." - rianne shlebak

Bombay Delight - Wimbledon - Review - Wimbledon - London - The Infatuation

"We can’t think of a single person we could bring to Bombay Delight who would leave unhappy. There's a spacious, colourful, cushion-filled dining room, a fresh fish cart that’s wheeled over to the table, and a jovial happy birthday chorus happens at least a couple of times every night. This Wimbledon spot, with its buzzy feelgood atmosphere and excellent Indian dishes (we’re fans of the tender chicken tikka trio and the creamy butter chicken curry), is a local favourite for celebrations of any kind. On particularly lively nights, tables next to each other strike up conversations, passing excess birthday cake to their neighbours, and realising that it’s well past closing time. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute" - Rianne Shlebak

Really lovely dinner here - it’s a warm quite jazzy atmosphere inside, and the staff who looked after us were absolutely lovely, looked after us really well. And the food! The dishes we ordered were fabulous, starters and mains, the menu had quite a few interesting dishes you don’t see in every Indian restaurant. They also had a nice special tennis menu on for the championship. We also had some cocktails which were delicious and big too. We’ll be back :)

I have discovered the restaurant by chance when coming to Wimbledon. It was such a fantastic Indian restaurant that has various selection of menus and even has special regional menu from time to time. If you are looking for some new exciting Indian dishes, do come in for a try. I have been there twice in the past few weeks as I can’t get enough of their awesome food. The taste is was great and reasonably priced. The service was impeccable too.

My partner and I came to Bombay delights because it had such great reviews so we had to see for ourselves. We were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived the service was impeccable. We ate from the monthly food festival menu and their a la carter menu - both were delicious. Highly recommend Bombay Delights. Great food, great atmosphere, great service!

Good Value for Quality Although more elevated than your average local curry house, Bombay Delight delivers strong value. Main courses are priced competitively, especially given the high quality and creative ambition of the menu. Would I go again… Definitely 💕 Ambience - Stylish, lively, modern Cuisine - Elevated Indian with regional flair Service - Attentive, knowledgeable Value - Competitive, especially for quality Best For - Celebrations, dates, curious diners

I've reviewed a few Indian spots, including Dishoom etc. This place nails the customer service, food is a solid 8/10. As I'm used to New Zealand Indian food, I was looking for a good kick and creamy curry, perhaps a little on the less creamy side here but flavour is spot on. We will be back, thanks, Dan and Tania.

The best Indian food I've had locally. Superb flavours. Really kind and friendly staff. Clean (even the bathroom which is rare)!

Very expensive for the size of the portions. We've been to eat at the restaurant and it seemed good so we decided to order a takeaway but we were very disappointed to find that everything just seemed very small despite the price point. For a few bits of Calamari it was £9 (in that bag). The small naans were £4 each (little ones), The small ice cream tub of butter chicken was £15 (no rice). It just seems incredibly steep and average in taste frankly. It's a shame as we like to support local.

Went here for a 60th birthday celebration. Nice restaurant with good food, great cocktails and good service. I thought the food was reasonably priced, very tasty and the portion sizes are good on the mains. There’s a second smaller menu which seems to be a a lot cheaper than the more extensive main menu. One thing we did notice and weren’t overly keen on was the fact that they had a lot of seasoned uncooked fish on a trolly/cart that I assume you choose the piece of fish that you’d like, but the trolley of fish was just sitting at the side in the open restaurant uncovered. If I’d wanted to order fish I wouldn’t have. I would definitely eat here again.
