Google
My husband and I really enjoyed the food. We had the vegetable samosas and lasooni gobhi as appetizers. For dinner, we had butter chicken, rice, garlic naan, and fish molly. Everything was delicious! And the waiter and the owner were so kind. We will definitely come back!

We had really good time last night. It was my little son’s birthday celebration with our family.my sister call them and tell them that we are going there for birthday dinner . They make little cute decorations for my son. I really appreciate that . Thank you so much for that. Food was delicious and 10/10 .

Google
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant with my bestie. The service was awesome and staffs were friendly, especially Shishir. He guided us throughout our visit and helped us choose the perfect meal for us. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan and i must say this combo tastes so good, even the quantity was so full. With these we tried Sweet Lassi which was so sweet and absolutely refreshing and Chicken biryani maybe it was hyderbadi chicken biryani. Chicken were well cooked. Every dish was a delight. I’m gonna visit this place for next time as well especially if we plan any gathering programs. Highly recommended!!

I tried the Mutton Sula Kabab and Chicken Signature Masala, both were absolutely delicious and had the real taste ! The fluffy garlic naan made the meal even more special. The staff were so friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Absolutely worth every bite.

Google
We come here at minimum once a month and I always wonder why it’s quiet when the food is amazing, server is helpful and kind, and the atmosphere is pleasant and peaceful.

Yelp
We visited Bombay Grill with our friends and ordered Lasooni Gobhi for the appetizer, along with Malai Kofta and Paneer Lababdar with Garlic Naan for the main course. We also had Mango Lassi, but it was quite watery and not something we'd order again. The food was freshly prepared and tasted good overall, but it didn't quite meet our expectations. The gobhi pieces were very large, which made them a bit hard to eat, and there wasn't enough sauce to balance the dish. There's definitely room for improvement, but we hope to visit again and see some of these changes -- the potential is certainly there!

Yelp
Went for Father's Day dinner around 5pm and they accommodated our group of 8. Always friendly service. I like that they change plates between appetizers and main. Water was filled when needed. So glad to have this place in the neighborhood.

Yelp
I dislike giving bad reviews but I must be honest..I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Placed an order for Tandoori chicken, which is supposedly a 1/2 chicken (4 pieces). For $19, I only received 2 small measly pieces of chicken. When I called to complain, the guy who answered the phone wanted to argue with me, telling me that two pieces are a half chicken..What kind of math is he doing? Smh! Also, if you have shellfish allergies be aware that they fry shrimp and salmon together in the same oil. Thats what I was told when I called them to inquire prior to ordering.. cross-contamination is a serious issue and they have no regard for people with shellfish allergies. Definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Yelp
Average Desi Food. Chicken Curry was quite tasty, and the Roti was fresh, but the Hyderabadi Dum Biryani we ordered was just average, and the meat was not that flavourful. There is not much to say about the atmosphere, just the regular mid range Desi restaurant. Service was good, and price was decent

Yelp
This is your average mom and pop Indian restaurant that serves hearty curries and rice dishes. The ambiance is that of an eclectic dining room with wall markings of flowers and birds and touches of fake greenery on the top of the walls. The ceiling glows with pink and green but the actual lighting in the restaurant is closer to a warm white. The vibe is reminiscent of your parents' living room where they bought several items they thought looked nice but you don't want to tell them that all the items don't work well together. Kinda endearing actually. I came with a group of friends and we ordered a spread of multiple dishes such as chicken tikka, saag paneer, chicken kadai, lamb vindaloo, and more. My order of lamb vindaloo was pretty good and had a good amount of spice. Some of the lamb pieces were slightly chewy but it got the job done. I tried my friend's chicken kadai and I enjoyed it more than my vindaloo. My other friend's chicken curry was also enjoyable. Service was consistent and the waiter came by our table multiple times to fill our waters and ask about our food. The servers also gave us the space to converse since we were a larger group. For a quick and hearty bite of Indian, Bombay Grill House is great. The only real grip is that they make their chicken dishes better than their lamb and I probably would order chicken if I came next time.

Yelp
I was looking for Indian restaurants near me when I stumbled across Bombay Grill House.I went to dinner here on a Thursday evening and had a great time. The service was great and quick. The food tasted good as well. The chicken biryani presentation was 10/10. They have a lot of vegetarian options as well which is nice. An additional plus is that you can pay with a QR code that's listed on the check. If you're looking to try a new restaurant or find a new regular place to eat at, Bombay's definitely a great option! P.S. make sure you try the mango lassi... it was delicious!!

Yelp
So we were going to celebrate my aunt's birthday here at my uncle's suggestion. I believe it was supposed to be 8 not the 6 that it turned out to be and they don't take Reservations for lunch Saturday. No big deal. Our server, Aafreen took our beverage orders and then came back got appetizer order. We just ordered 3 orders of vegetable samosas and 3 orders of garlic Naan to share. When that came out we were given 3 dishes that came with the tamarind sauce and the coriander chutney As for main dishes, mixed vegetable curry, 2 ordered shrimp biryani including myself, one ordered Chana saag and one ordered the chicken saag. I forgot what the other 2 ordered. The biryani orders were baked in clay pots with Naan on top. Quite dramatic presentation. The shrimp biryani was well spiced with what I would call medium level heat. I had a taste of the mixed vegetable curry which was also very good. Most people couldn't finish their entrees so Aafreen brought us to go containers. Aafreen made the extra effort to fill the containers herself and brought bags for us which she then filled the bags herself with the appropriate food. My uncle had picked up a cheesecake and had candles. They were given to the staff before everyone else had shown up. Aafreen brought the cake out with the candles lit and the TV was playing a "Happy Birthday to You" song. Some of the other customers began singing along. Plates and spoons had been brought out before the cake was cut. After the table had their fill, we still had some left, so we let the other table have the rest. When were done eating we had ordered some stuff to take home so that was also bagged up. We were given the bill but was told there was no rush to leave. We actually were taking pictures and Aafreen actually took a group shot for us. Definitely a place to remember to go back to.

Yelp
This was my 1st order from Bombay Grill House. The food was a hot mess and only one dish was edible. Issues: 1. The lid for the lassi was ajar under the saran wrap. Lassi spilled into everything including into the paper cartons of rice when I received it so the rice was ruined. The kitchen didn't pack it properly if the lid wasn't fully pushed in properly. 2. lamb tikka masala gravy was inedible. I threw it away after 2-3 scoops --excessively sweet like a pound of sugar was dumped into a tomato, cream, and spice gravy that also tasted of raw ginger. 3. the chicken biryani was pretty good for Forest Hill but the cooking oil underneath the spices tasted off-- like crayons or old wax. I came down with stomach cramps and diarrhea five hours after I ate it.

Yelp
First off, this is NOT an Indian restaurant. Both the owners and the cooks are from Bangladesh. All of the dishes we had, though Punjabi in name, were pretty bad. It varied from mediocre to awful. Highly recommend you stay away from this place. On the positive side, the place itself it quite attractive, and our waitress was from Nepal, not from Bangladesh. She was very friendly and an excellent server. Other staff was very good as well. So, if you want awful food served in a pretty place with excellent staff, do go there to eat. Should you have the nerve to expect good food as well, go to Jackson Heights, not Forest Hills.

Jeff G.

Yelp
First timer today...went for lunch..had vegetarian dish- mixed veggies in curry sauce..also ordered garlic Naan...both were good, but entrees eating in the restaurant don't come with rice- server said only take-out orders, which I found odd. Most Indian restaurants include rice with entrees. He did give me rice at no charge. Not sure if I'd go back if rice isn't included when eating at the restaurant. The server was pleasant.

Yelp
New favorite dishes include cauliflower appetizer (can't remember the name) chicken masala, lamb biryani & garlic naan

Yelp
Fruit flies greeted us till the end.. 45+ min wait for 1 appetizer. The tandoori platter was bland and only food coloring, no taste of any masalas. Told them to make the food spicy. It wasn't spicy at all. The biryani was half decent. The rest of the food wasn't as good as anticipated. I would've understood if it was a busy night and had too many customers to handle, but that wasn't the case. It was a Tuesday and only 3 tables. Wouldn't recommend it.

Donovan M.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. Having tried other indian restaurants in the area, this one definitely takes the cake. The food was so flavorful, very filling and doesn't have you feeling stuffed afterward. The service was excellent and our server was very kind and welcoming. Lastly, the ambiance was very eye catching. This is definitely the place to stop in and have dinner or take out and enjoy at home!

Yelp
I gave this restaurant three tries. First time was about a few months ago when they first opened I placed an online order and the delivery did not come for over two hours. I called the restaurant the manager was apologetic and said I would not be charged for the meal, but I was. Second time I thought, let me give them another chance and I placed another online order and after 35 minutes. I received a phone call saying that they don't have a delivery person for the day and if I want the food I can come pick it up. Third time I went into the restaurant on a Saturday in the early afternoon to give them a final shot at redemption. They failed again. I ordered the lamb kebab appetizers, mixed grill, and Mali kofta. The lamb, sheik kebab appetizer came out cold, and my friend who was with me for the lunch, said they were tasteless. The malai kofta was a total mess. They basically just made the gravy and threw in the balls which were dry as the Saharan desert. Needless say this was the third strike and this place is out. The owners and the manager of this restaurant don't know what they're doing. If you know anything about Indian food, you want to avoid this place. I suggest checking out Tika and talk on Austin Street.

Yelp
The lamb chops were soooo good that they were gone before we could take a picture. The naan is fluffy and delicious. The butter chicken is smooth and creamy.

Yelp
The food is awesome The vindaloo was as spicy as it should be. My wife had Chana Shag - excellent. The ambience is that of your parents' basement. Totally awful. But if you are willing to overlook, this is a good place to go.

Yelp
We did not receive what we ordered! We ordered pomegranate chicken by phone and received a chicken dish minus the pomegranates. When we called back once we opened our meal, the owner said he'd did not have pomegranates so he gave us another chicken dish. We also ordered a shrimp dish and received chicken instead. We will not be ordering from them again. $57 later we were seriously disappointed. Totally messed up our order without any accountability when confronted. Sad.

Tina M.

Yelp
Loved this place and the ambiance! The service was exceptional and the food was great! I had reservations to go at first but I'm so glad I got to try this restaurant I definitely recommend!

Unicorn Q.

Yelp
Looks can be deceiving! The outside made me a little nervous but the food is amazing! It is all extremely flavorful and just the right amount of spice. When I went I got the Lamb Saag and the vegetable samosas, they were both extremely delicious and flavorful. However, they do keep the fat and some of the bones in the meat, so just be wary of that. Overall, this place was delicious and I will definitely be going back!

Yelp
Recently opened and replaced another Indian restaurant. This new entrant is actually a mini restaurant group, with the OG in Hell's Kitchen and the second in Greenpoint. So make sense to expand the family to Queens. The quality is much improved than the previous ownership, as their tried and true chicken tikka masala is flavorful with their blended spices (probably more than I could count) and their biryani comes with a bread dome as if you need additional carb besides their addictive garlic naan. I see their FH menu isn't quite large as their counterparts, but the prices are gentle, not to mention their lunch specials that could feed two meals for some. Interior decor is classy with white tablecloth goblet drinking glasses. No paper napkins, but cloth napkins! This would be an appropriate place for daily purposes and catering events. I with this business well and thrive in this area.

Yelp
My book group went to Bombay Grill House in Forest Hills recently and we all loved the food and the ambiance. Our food came quickly considering what a large group (17 people!) we were and the staff and service were friendly. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well as dishes with meat. I ordered vegetable pakora and pomegranite chicken kabob and they were both delicious. The mango lassi was also tops. The prices are very reasonable and no loud music, a big plus in my book. It's a bit of a walk from the subway, 10-12 minutes, but well worth it.

Barbara S.

Yelp
I went there for the first time and was happily surprised. The food was delicious. The service was warm, prompt and gracious. I was with a group and was delighted that we had individual checks. Prices were quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend.

Art F.

Yelp
Neighborhood gem. Very nicely decorated. Friendly, careful service. If you like Indian food, it is excellent here.

Lisa L.

Yelp
We've eaten there once (very friendly service) and ordered take out for the first time last night. Food is very good. Came quickly and arrived hot. However, both chicken dishes we ordered (butter chicken, tikka masala) while tasty, were quite skimpy on the chicken. A lot of sauce. Very little chicken.

Geo A.

Yelp
Excellent neighborhood restaurant. At last an Indian restaurant that is authentic in forest hills. I would say the base is a bit on the milder side. Their chicken curry is amazing. So are the biriyanis.

Tom M.

Yelp
This is a new addition to the area. Opened recently at a former Indian restaurant. Made a spontaneous decision for dinner. It was a great decision. The food was delicious. I had Chicken Korma and some naan. The chicken was prepared perfectly, not overcooked, was flavorful and tender. The Korma sauce was smooth and creamy. The naan was fresh and a perfect accompaniment. The owner was super nice too. I highly recommend and def will be back. I wish them great success.
