Worst experience i ordered shrimp biriyani and they even did not clean the shrimp the tail is intact i never seen such in any place and they gave us plastic plates instead of normal plates even they do not have proper restroom i have no idea how are they even operating

After driving by this place for years, we finally decided to stop by. The atmosphere wasn’t the best and we were eating things off of styrofoam plates but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food. The portions were generous and prices were fairly low. We will check out their lunch buffet one of these days.

Great flavors and a wide combination of India dishes. We came in mid afternoon, so it was just a few people being served, most were take out orders. Very friendly and casual service. I had the Lamb Vindaloo and it came out great with nice flavors and just the right amount of spice (I love spicy good). My wife had vegetable samosas and rice. I know they have a great lunch buffet. Restaurant is small with a dozen tables and a textured beige/brown walls and red table cloths. The reason for the 4 verses 5 stars is the use of foam and plastic utensils for in-store dining.

My first and last time at Bombay Kitchen! At a friend’s prompting I decided to try their Curry Lamb dish. I was running errands and so opted for takeout rather than dining in. I’m a bit of a picky eater and so usually opt for shrimp or chicken and wish I had done so this time. Besides the fat and gristle there was this large piece of bone which left me speechless. Never again!

(Ring the bell) place is pretty quiet wich to me is just perfect. The food was delicious, definitely going back to try other dishes. I wish they had more "drink" options.. anyways. Great place, plenty to choose from. Price is reasonable.

The food here was fresh, very good and most importantly it was hot. The Butter Chicken with Rice was very good as was the Samosas. The Biriyani Chicken was good and was a healthy portion. I recommend dining here.

Very tasty food. I always get take out and enjoy it at home. Mango Lassi is favourite of the youngsters. Lamb biriyani and goat are always tasty.

Authentic and simple Halal food. We dined in while this place is booming with takeout orders. The garlic naan was delicious and iI enjoyed my Tikki Masala Chicken. I was hoping they had some homemade tea but we opted for water. Service was okay, not as attentive as I liked but it seemed as though only 2 employees were working the joint. Nothing fancy but still an overall good experience. I would definitely return and enjoy again.

Driving from Atlanta to Athens, looking for a local small semi-unknown Indian spot to try. Ordered the Nan Bread, Butter Chicken, and Chicken Vendaloo. The restaurant was totally empty when we arrived at 11:30am. The host (owner?), was quick to greet and seat us, welcoming us. Both chicken dishes were good, flavorful, plenty of food. The rice was somewhat chewy, but also had decent flavor. The nan bread (garlic) was perfect. Definitely a place to check out again!

My first time trying this restaurant. It's HALAL, near my home, and the price is perfect. The food is delicious. Not too much herb. Very tasty. And the chili level is upright my alley. The service is great. The restaurant ambiance is very nice and good for family lunch or dinner.

Just ordered Chicken 65 and Garlic nan bread. I should have checked the order before I left. When I got back to my office, the chicken is very dark in color not bright red, very hard as if it was old and reheated. Doesn't taste freshly made at all. When I called, the person I spoke with talked in circles telling me it's fresh and it WASN'T....it was horrible and he refused to remake the order if I returned the horrible food I just bought. I work for probably the largest company in this area and I've already sent emails not to eat here again. This is the 2nd time this has happened, me and my coworkers will not be back. Only Zyka from now on

This place is so good! This is real authentic Indian food! I've tried a few places and this one may be my favorite. I got the shrimp curry and the first time it was amazing but way too hot in flavor lol. I got it again but this time the mild and it was so delicious. You can taste every seasoning in every bite, so much flavor. The garlic naan was also good, it was fluffy and soft. The customer service was pretty decent, the man at the register was nice. The dining area could be more appealing and it was very cold in this place but the food steals the show. If you like Indian food or you're wanting to try it, you won't be disappointed in this place.

I went there yesterday, 6/2/2025. I ordered a take out. I made mistake not checking my order before I left the restaurant. I trusted as professional people. My order was totally wrong. I ordered two orders of Chicken kababs, six nuns and two orders of butter chickens. This was dinner for my family. When I reached home and opened the bags, half of the items I ordered were wrong. I received two orders of tandoori, bread and butter chicken. I usually like tandoori, but it was very dry and it looked like it was not cooked inside Tandoori clay oven. The butter chicken tasted very bad. I will never go there!!!

Ordered for delivery and it was PERFECT. The butter chicken was to die for. Great service and quick!

We tried this place for lunch. Smaller spot on the corner of Lawrenceville highway, a busy road. A few parking spots on the side of the building. We walked in and were greeted promptly with a friendly, welcoming face. I was sad to see they no longer did lunch buffet, but decided to stay anyways and try and few things! We ordered the lamb biriyani (flavorful rice dish), chicken tikka masala (always a fav of mine-- like a creamy, salty, hint of sweet curry sauce), which came with their "plain" basmati white rice (saffron and flavorful rice), the vegetarian samosas (delicious little fried stuffed pillows of goodness!), garlic naan (thin crispy garlic buttery thin bread- a must for dipping!), and we had a feast! Dipping the crispy naan into the tikka curry sauce made me sooo happy! This is also one of the best garlic naans I've ever had, and I've had a lot, in California and all over. This one had so much more flavor and so crispy -- my fav texture. The biriyani rice was not dry and very flavorful and not too spicy. We ordered everything at a three out of five spice level. It was nice for them to ask which level we wanted. We both like spicy food but didn't want it to close our throats like some places do. lol The chutney sauce was also great for the samosas and dipping. Quaint and cozy little place inside with booth seating on either side w red tablecloths. The man that helped us at the counter had great customer service and was very attentive and kind, with a sense of humor. That always is nice! The food came out quickly, but we did go at 2 PM, so it wasn't too busy, with only one other table occupied, and a couple to go orders coming in. It was nice sitting at a booth by the window and we were able to people watch and have some sunlight. There was really nice violin music with a beat, playing, that was relaxing. Styrofoam plates threw me off a little haha, but whatever. I'm not that boujie lol. All the food was delicious and we really enjoyed it. Our feast came out to $40. And we took half of it to go. It was very filling! Affordable! We will be back!

First time customer. We went around 5 on a Sunday recently and the restaurant was accepting to-go orders only. We placed an order for two goat biryani's and garlic naan for both plates. Unfortunately, we only cracked open the top plate some while we were still in the restaurant and it seemed okay, smell seemed familiar so we left. We get home and the bottom container is dry room temperature hot wings and large sliced fries. We only received one garlic naan which was balled up in foil. The one goat biryani we received was just... okay. The lime slice was a good addition to the flavor. The yogurt was really runny, flavorless and basically gross. Some of the rice was still white and most the coated rice was on bottom. It just felt very rushed and thrown together. The goat pieces were pretty good though. & The gentleman did make it right by providing us a refund. Not sure if we'll be returning though, and probably not on a night where only to-go is being accepted.

Ordered through DoorDash at 6pm on a Friday and didn't get confirmed because the restaurant claims it's open while not being open at this time (or maybe the entire day). I've heard this has happened before.

Mever open! Friday night 8:30 pm shut down tight? Wth? Their yelp page says they're open, but nobody's there and nobody answers. Oh well try to find a new place I guess for Indian.

Great food, great service. No need for in depth review. Good prices as well. Eaten here multiple times since moving to area.

My roommates and I tried Bombay for the first time yesterday. It was delicious! The samosas were really tasty & the spice levels appropriately applied. All the food comes at a pretty reasonable price point as well. The atmosphere was very welcoming and music wasn't overwhelming for conversation and actually quite nice. The.location was very clean and the staff was attentive & courteous, they even brought us extra cups of spicy sauces to try. We will definitely be back next Saturday and many more from here on!

Food was really good. It was not very spicy (my kids could eat it) but there was a depth of flavor in each dish. Will definitely be back.

I come for the food about once a week. Pescatarian here and the Matar Paneer is AMAZING. Vegetable samosas are to die for too.

We went there on afternoon for a team outing based on the yelp reviews.. But we were utterly disappointed.. We opted for the buffet as it looked good.. but as soon as we started eating, we realized that all the curries did not taste good.. Probably the butter chicken might have been ok.. The nan was definitely under cooked.. We had to order a fresh set and that too was not cooked well.. The veg dishes were also meh!!.. Probably this place has seen better times back in the day but right now I would not go back again for Indian food..

Just a simple corner restaurant...no frills, but goodness the food is amazing! Everything we ordered was full of wonderful flavor. The person who helped us was great, too. Highly recommend!!! P.S. I wanted to unselect ambiance, since that is not what this place really offers, but the app won't let me. Don't let that stop you from eating here!!

When you live so close to major fast food restaurants getting tired of the same old burger and fry meals gets pretty easy. I first stopped into Bombay because I wanted to try something new, and Indian food sounded like a great idea. So I took off down Lawrenceville Highway and ended up at this homey restaurant. Inside the restaurant are three large television screen with the menu located above the cash register. The screen are pretty large and easy to read off. Below the TVs was the empty buffet table that the restaurant uses during the lunch hour and the the cash register. Since I am not well versed in Indian food I choose two options off the menu and I asked the cashier which item he thought was better. The cashier chose the Butter chicken and I placed my order. *Entree: Butter Chicken ($12.00) The entree came out after 15 minutes. The to-go bag was nicely packaged. The lids were on tightly which made transportation so much easier. When I made it home I popped open the to go containers. The rice was actually pretty colorful. Reminiscent of the fall Atlanta trees... oranges and reds. Pretty beautiful and not to mention tasty. I generally don't care for rice, but this rice was packed with flavor. The butter chicken was decent. Mild in flavor. I think it could have used a hint more heat of flavor complexity. *Side: Garlic Naan ($2.50) The garlic naan was nothing special in my opinion. I had to sprinkle a little salt on top of the bread to give it more flavor. Overall this restaurant deserves a B+. The employees are kind and thoughtful, the inside of the restaurant was clean, and the rice was amazing. Pitfalls, the butter chicken could have used a hint more of flavor and the garlic naan was simply ok.

Fast, friendly service both times I've been here. Good food both times as well. Humble people run it who always greet you with a smile and great warm atmosphere.

My family had been meaning to try this place for years, so we tried a few different meals to see what they had going on. The short and skinny, you can find much better Indian food down the road and it even made us sick. First up, let's talk quality. The goat meat in the Goat Curry was rubbery and the curry seasoning was nothing to write home about. The Chicken 65 was fine but not great, and they forgot the tamarind sauce. We also ordered Palak Paneer, which was bland, not the rich and creamy dish I'm used to. If you drive 5 minutes into Decatur, you will find much better Indian food. Zyka, for instance, is a home run. Next, the quantity. If that's all you care about, they've got you. The Palak Paneer was loaded with cheese -- way more than other places. Actually, all of the containers were quite sizable. Still, I wouldn't call anything particularly delicious, and I would rather go for quality over quantity. Now, the food poisoning. Two of us were left shitting our brains out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm fairly certain that it was the Palak Paneer, since that's the only common denominator. One of us hadn't eaten much else all day, so it had to be this. Finally, to play the devils advocate. I picked up our order around 8:00 pm, 30 minutes before they closed. That might explain why we got the bottom of the barrel. It also might explain why all three employees were not wearing masks. Either way, we won't be coming back.

Ordered from a mobile app and the paneer tikka was bland and absolutely flavorless. The garlic naan was soggy and undercooked. This was the second time I ordered to give them a chance and was disappointed for the last time.

Madina supermarket & Cafes has grandly opened on May 22nd 2016. It's a Halal Restaurant and a Fast Food Restaurant in Tucker, Georgia. Madina cafe offers delicious dining and takeout in Tucker, GA. It is a cornerstone in the Tucker community and has been recognized for its outstanding Middle Eastern Cuisine, Indian Cuisine and Pakistani Cuisine excellent service and friendly staff. There Middle Eastern restaurant is known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high quality fresh ingredients. Great spot. Try the Chicken Biryani. Simple and quick service with affordable dishes. I will be back again. This is the type of place that probably has a "secret menu" if you know what you want. The owner Rashel has a great story as well, with a restaurant background at some of the top spots in Atlanta. Their Chicken 65 with Biryani rice is a great combo. I love their falafel even though it has cilantro mixed into the batter, chicken kebab, and gyros too. Great food and love that we have this quality option locally here in Tucker, GA. This will be my new lunch spot for now. The parking is little hard to find one but if you are lucky enough you might get one in front of the restaurant. Madina cafe offers every day lunch specials only just $5.95. Try them all. Monday and Tuesday Lunch Special is Chicken curry with rice for just $5.99. Thursday lunch special is the shrimp fried rice for just $5.95 and weekend special is Chicken Biryani for just $5.99.

We love spicy Indian biryanis. When we ask for hot spice level (sometimes even ask for "Indian HOT"), most restaurants temper the spiciness. They assume we can't handle the heat which can be disappointing. Bombay Kitchen DELIVERED the heat! It was incredible and it was just at the edge of nearly being too spicy for us (which probably would knock most people out). We had goat and lamb biryanis. Although, we wished each both had more veg and crispy onions. The rice was dry compared to most other biryanis we have. Just a note - the restaurant is take out only at this time because of COVID.

Great food! I've driven past Madina Cafe several times and because of its corner location and traffic, I never bothered to take the time to find a spot and go in. That, ladies and gents, was a mistake, because I enjoyed every bite I took. I should start off by saying Madina has a buffet, and my knee jerk reaction was to label it as an indian restaurant. No, this Halal restaurant does have Indian cuisine, but also has Pakistani and dabbles and middle eastern dishes as well. So what did I order? Vegetable samosas ($2.99) Chicken 65 and rice ($8.99) The Vegetable Samosas came with two servings. Crispy outer crust, nicely flavored and filled with potato, peas, carrot and spices. These things were good AND filling. I really enjoyed them! Along with the samosas came a green dipping sauce that I didn't catch the name of, but enjoyed. The Chicken 65 was cooked perfectly. Nicely salted, more on the crispy side versus wet, not greasy but still light. They came with a serving of rice, and were cooked with onions, pepper, and cucumber. Sadly the dish wasn't spicy, because there were no jalapenos, but that's okay. The interior of Madina is actually much more spacious than I was expecting, having several booths and tables as well as a couple of tables outside. Parking is interesting, because there are two lots, one accessed off of Lawrenceville highway just before you reach main street. The other set of parking spots (often the most full) is accessed from Main street. End of the day, for my first visit, I really enjoyed Madina Cafe and certainly will be back to try more off of their menu!

Great food and great service, we couldn't stop eating! The buffet is on certain days and we missed it but it didn't matter. We got out of the car and smelled the food from the outside, my Wife had the chicken Tikka Masala and I had Goat Biriyany! Had lots of food to take home and for the price a definite bargain! We will drive from Winder to eat here again, Thank you so much to the back cooks! You are amazing!!!

Good food, little bit expensive but worth the money compared to other Indian restaurants nearby

I have no idea why this place has a good rating. I was around the area with my wife and were hungry so we looked up on yelp & found this place with 4 star rating and we came here for lunch. At first the place looked a little shady for an authentic Indian Food but we thought we will give it a try. Following are things why I didn't like this place and wont recommend: 1)Buffet has like only 5-6 items , for a price of $9.99 this is really less usually there's a lot of variety. 2)Butter Chicken : Sweet as anything and had no taste at all, it seemed they had mixed sugar instead of salt. That's not how Butter Chicken should be. 3)Chicken Curry : I have never had a Chicken Curry taste like this. No taste at all !! May be they forgot to add spices ? 4)For Veggie lovers all they had was a Vaaji & Watery Lentils (Dal) 5)There was nothing for desert nothing at all. Oh well yes there were like 4 pieces of so called "Sooji" kept in a bowl which I could never imagine would be a desert. The owner claims I was blind that I didnt notice. 6)I told the lady about my feedback and she said People here like this kind of food, I was like well then dont sell them saying "Authentic Indian Food" because this isn't authentic at all 7)Lets talk about Cleanliness : I went to pick fork and there was this guy using his bare hands to pick forks from a box and was keeping for us to use.eww but no thank you. Went to restroom to wash my hand was absolutely gutted to see how dirty the restroom was. Over all I'd not waste my time going here ever again. Indian Food is not supposed to taste like this at all. The Chef may be either Nepali or Bangladeshi but definitely not authentic Indian.

Goat curry and garlic naan is the best I have ever eaten. It is absolutely amazing food . You have to try out this dish .

Sooooo... just sitting here waiting on our order and all I hear are microwaves going in the kitchen. I see the high reviews but the constant microwaving has me concerned that our food will not be prepared fresh...

We adore this restaurant, and we're so happy we found them after moving to Tucker! This restaurant competes with the best Indian fare I've had in the city. We've made it a tradition to order from Bombay Kitchen every Friday during COVID as a "quarantine treat " to look forward to every week. The owner is wonderful and does a lot for our community with little to no fanfare. Please check this amazing little restaurant out!

I'm local and have ordered takeout from or eaten here three times now. It just disappointing every time. My chicken 65 is terribly overcooked every time. The butter chicken is far too sweet. Every time I've ordered "very hot" chicken or lamb curry I've gotten bones in a greasy mild sauce. I get the traditional preparation has cut up bones with the meat still on, but I swear they are trimming the meat off. I needed a separate bowl on the side to "catch" all the bones and inedible gristle from the dish. Why haven't I bombed them to one star? The rice is always good, with a lime wedge to add tartness and flavor. The naan has never disappointed me. Tonight, the best dish was the chicken wings, prepped in basic, store-bought buffalo sauce. That's not what they are supposed to be good at nor what should be the best. There are much better options within a few miles, including Zyka, six miles down Lawrenceville hwy. I keep trying Bombay Kitchen because it's very close, but I keep getting disappointed.

Great Indian food on corner of Lawrenceville and Idlewood Road in relatively simple clean restaurant. Lunch buffet was $9.99 and they had four samples of meat butter chicken curry chicken and a few others and vegetarian dishes also. Basmati rice was off the chain. Salad was there also. Maybe add a dessert for five stars! They have a back room if anyone needed to have a place for a group!

The hummus is excellent. This may be my new vegetarian lunch place. It comes with warm pita and a cucumber, tomato, cilantro salad. Very good. The grilled chicken was WAAYYY over cooked. It was tasty, but almost too dry to eat. That being said, this was a very nice restaurant. They have stools by the window for convenience when eating alone. Friendly staff and good food. I'll be back.

Great food. Ordered over the phone because of quarantine times. The food was very well packaged and staff wore masks. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with garlic nan. Lots of flavor in each bite. The food was not spicy so may need to ask if you want more heat.

We have picked up from here twice ( so happy to find a great Indian restaurant near us!) and both times the food has been absolutely outstanding. We have spent time in India, and this food is authentic and delicious. We highly recommend!!

Amazing rich, spicy curries that ate right up any Indian food-lovers alley! We got the lamb vindaloo and the spicy lamb curry. Both were fantastic! If you love spicy, I recommend the vindaloo! We ordered the garlic naan also- different from other naan I've had, tasted more like a wheat flour base, still very good but different!

Don't let the outside or the styrofoam plates fool you, this place is legit. We can happily say that we're regulars at Madina for many reasons. We literally order their Chicken 65 as an appetizer because we also want to enjoy their curries. Their Chicken 65 has this amazing thin crisp to the outside, the spice is just right, and the meat is thinly cut. They also fry a few slivers of okra and jalapeno with the 65. Outstanding. Our two go-to curries are butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala. You may adjust your spice level, for a more authentic flair. Both plates arrive with basmati rice + few thinly cut veggies. The meat is wonderfully tender from the tandoori and bite sized. Their yogurt is milky thin and cools the palate well. Order at the counter. The guys behind it are always friendly, will walk your food out to your table. They also get a kick that we order three entrees... cannot live without their 65! Want it all! We enjoy watching a cricket match while chowing down. This place is simple, seasoned, and hits the spot. Several parking spaces outside of the restaurant and we've never had an issue finding a table. Many folks grab carryout. Believe they also offer a lunch buffet. Please give this place a try, they're an awesome local joint!

One of the best chicken tikka masalas I've ever had! I was bummed when Heart of India closed. Im so excited to have discovered this now

So I have been in need of another Indian restaurant since the one I used to go to closed down... they had really good food so I was kinda bummed. I've tasted food from other places and I was highly disappointed.. anyway found this one on yelp.. read the reviews so I thought I would give it a try... I must say.. I a impressed. I will definitely come here again and tell my family and friends. They have a lunch buffet which was so convenient for me because I wanted to try more than one item and I was able to. They beat part for me is that the food has just enough spices... I didn't have to chance every spoonful down with a sip of water. I had the butter chicken, naan, daal, and chicken biriani... all good. My boys had the chicken tikka massala and that was very tasty.

SO GOOD. I stopped by to order to-go lunch and it they said it would be 15 min- it took about 10. Food was so hot and fresh. I got chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Everything was so flavorful and tasted very authentic. Total cost was $15, and I will be able to eat the other half tomorrow. The lunch buffet I saw was $9.99 and looked delish, however they didn't have chicken tikka masala out. I will need to stop by and try the buffet sometime. The man offered me a free bottle of water once my food was ready, which is a nice touch. Overall, very happy and will be back.

Formerly the Madina Cafe, now focusing solely on Indian cuisine. The food tastes good, great flavor. It's a relaxed atmosphere & the staff are always quite genial. You can catch a cricket game on the telly.

Happy! I saw the reviews here and on Nextdoor and finally made it here today. I ordered through Yelp for pick-up. There was a little hiccup there because I wasn't given a confirmation # that Madina had -- so that is on Yelp to figure out. My confirmation # was 8 digits and their confirmation was 4 digits. But I received my food at the promised time. Really prompt and friendly. I ordered everything VERY SPICY. And I wasn't disappointed. It was VERY SPICY but I loved every morsel of it. And I have a new respect for Chicken 65. I have never had pieces of chicken perfectly spiced and moist like this. It was much fresher...less fried....something...then what I have had before. With the rice and salad that mixed in really nicely. I also ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. Very very nice. I just sampled. Saving that for later. The naan. On point. I am so happy that they are in my neighborhood and I will be back. I have to try the baklava! There is plenty of space inside to dine in too. Two parking areas on either side that hold about 10-12 cars.
