"Brooklyn Beet Company is the sister restaurant of South Slopes’ Korzo. It is a truly delightful casual dinning experience of Eastern European comfort food. Brooklyn Beet Company is one of the few restaurants in Bay Ridge that serves farm-fresh food and also one of two places that sells the Korzo Burger® a registered and heavenly burger. Although the restaurant is quite small, they do have a lovely backyard for warm-weather dinning." - the serif design

Overall, this place does not even deserve one star. I had options for two other places in the area and I selected this place because it had the best rating. I ordered a meat platter from appetizers, please can any south Asian tell me does the picture look like a meat platter from any angle? Second item was a aloo paratha, please I am Punjabi and I know my paratha. Does that look anything like a paratha? Please see reviews from desi ppl before going to any of these Indian/Pakistani restaurants. In my opinion, the best rating this would food would get is negative one star.

Was just walking in the neighborhood, had no idea what to expect. Absolutely loved the food. Got the dinner special - three course meal for $20. Fully worth it. Will come back again and again. Only gave 4 stars for atmosphere because there was no music at all in the restaurant. Was eerily quiet as we ate. But the quality of the food completely justified the place to me and made it less important.

COME EAT HERE. NOW. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were polite and friendly and the chef deserves a hug because, again, the FOOD!!! We got the mango lassi (I loved it so much I went home and tried to make it myself-failed). I think I got the lamb Kashmiri and the chicken tikki masala. I am dying to go back. You must try this place, you will not regret it.

Ordered take out. Pretty good food 👍 ordered the dinner special that comes with an appetizer with Lamb saag, rice and Naan and a butter chicken with rice. Kids ate it up. Guy was friendly over the counter.

I heard good things about the food of this restaurant, so I had to try it out. An Indian Halal restaurant, narrow but clean place. The restroom was clean too, that’s always a great thing for a restaurant! I do understand most of the customers they gets are not actually desi like us, so it’s not spicy at all. I should have asked for it when ordering. But there’s always a great excuse to come back & try the food again . The food was actually very very good, amount was a lot for one person. 2 people can easy eat the amount I got for their lunch special! I am a true Bangladeshi 🇧🇩so if you know we love food spicy ! So for me next time I will ask for my spicy ! I ordered plain naan, Sikh kabab, chicken tikka masala , gulab jamun & lacchi. Lacchi could be little sweeter, gulab jamun was little hard inside but tasted fresh. Naan was perfect , kabab & tikka masala wasn’t spicy at all. So for Americans that’s actually perfect ! The stuff were excellent but all of them were not knowledgeable about their own food. Maybe they are not used to being asked by a customer what they recommend from the menu. Besides that there was no issue. Both were very friendly, helpful. Now for the owner I wish they would make this place look nicer, it’s a small place but it could be a cute little cozy place if they actually do some decorations changes. Now s days when all the restaurants are looking all dolled up, this looks very boring. This is just suggestions, people loved to take pictures & make videos & post them online. That’s how business gets recognized this days, so as a customer I am just giving my opinions. I will be back later when the wether gets better. Thank you for the great service & food . Good luck & hope to see some new looks..!

This place is really really good. Everything we ordered with freshly made including the butter chicken curry and bread. The service was really so, but I get it, they don’t have A lot of staff. Please support this business. One of the best Indian food in the neighborhood. Expect long wait times, but the food is top notch!

We came here for a catch up lunch after spending the day doing chores. We were starving so, we ordered a few appetizers to share. We ordered fried shrimp ($8.95), shrimp pakora ($7.95), chicken samosa ($3.95). The menu description was a bit confusing. The fried shrimp was actually curried style and came with a delicious and fluffy poori. Tere loved the curry and kept the extra bits that was left. I personally lost interest in the dish once the last shrimp was consumed. The shrimp pakora was fried shrimps with onion rings. I noticed a light curry scent in the batter. My friends enjoyed the chicken samosas but, I wasn't really a fan because I don't like ground meat. We did three daily specials that included an appetizer and entree for $17. We got the chicken tikka appetizer and chicken tikka masala and chicken korma. The chicken tikka app came out blazing hot and we got a massive mound of chicken. The chicken had a nice char on the outside. We enjoyed both currries we got for the entrees. However, we felt that the chicken tikka masala was more flavorful but, the korma is perfect for people with a low tolerance of spicy. I did wish that the naan was a bit more buttery but, everyone else thought it was okay. For dessert, the waiter treated us to a free round of rice porridge. Personally, I never liked this but, my friend loved it. We also got some pistachio ice cream and it was so delicious and creamy. I loved that the ice cream tasted fresh and wasn't like other places that was filled with ice chips. The service was okay. The waiter only stopped by to drop off items and he escaped back into the kitchen. I am guessing that they are very short-staffed and he had to help out in the back. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area and love Indian food. The prices are affordable and they are very generous with the portion sizes.

Google
this place is AMAZING. my boyfriend & I got chicken samosas, chicken tikka masala, cheese naan, tandoori chicken & a mango lassi. everything was incredible, not exaggerating but Indian food might be my favorite food of all time. it was delicious. our waiter Amir was soso kind & just such a sweet happy soul, it made the experience that much better. he gave us some dessert on the house, it was perfect. i will 100% be coming back again. did i mention everything here is priced so affordably? 10/10 ❤️

Yelp
First time here, I really like Indian and the food here was just okay. We got the chicken samosas, it's was a bit dry 3/10, the chicken tikka masala was on the sweeter side for me, it was just okay 4/10 but the thing that sold me, that I would come back for it's their chicken liver appetizer. OMG SO DELICIOUS! The service was good and the ambiance was okay too. All in all 4/10 will come back for the chicken liver.

Yelp
The lunch and dinner sets are decently price. The food is less than okay. Some misses with spoiled or mediocre tasting food over the last year. Just recently, on 9/26, I ordered vegetable pakora, which was dried out and over fried. It was hard and chewy. Also ordered their homemade yogurt and it was spoiled.

Yelp
Food was ok but there was a bug in the complimentary dessert I've been ordering for a while but this time I saw something black as soon as I opened it when I took it out this is what I saw

Yelp
OMG! I've sat down 2x here and I've ordered take out once. Every time: so damn good! Every damn time. This place is unassuming to me but somehow kicks out delicious love on a plate. Thank you thank you thank you! I literally just ate my leftovers this morning from the last time we ate there - last night! Lol. (Not even kidding either). So far my favorites are the lamb malai : soooooooo sooooo good!! Like seriously! Also all the naans, the dinner specials and the mango lassi. Love the rice pudding dessert too. Just give me all the things, I'll eat them! The man who runs the joint who I think is the owner is so sweet. And so humble and incredibly nice. Seems a lot of folks like to order out there but I really enjoy sitting inside. It's usually few customers so it's chill and I like that the owner gives you what you need without overwhelming you with service. He is just perfect! I wish I ordered from here sooner. I feel silly that I haven't and I don't frequent the area like I used to.. but I'll likely make a stop down in bay ridge just to see my favorite man and have his famous malai.. cus honestly it's worth the trip!!! Xoxo

Yelp
I love Indian food and tried some from brooklyn to pa and Manhattan. Service here it's great. Very nice guy. I want to love then but food is just ok. I've had better in the poconos of all places. I ordered the Paneer. Sorry we we super hungry I did not take a good picture but when I saw it I know it was not as good as I've had it before. 1) it taste like frozen spinach. Very little cheese in it. 2) the food is basically all sauces. 3) The desert it's super tiny but also very watery. It's supposed to be rice pudding it's more .... milk and sugar than any rice. See pictures. I thought it was a sauce when I saw it 4) the mint sauce is not like the one I've had it's not bad just different. 5) the naan bread was too burned on 1 side. I ll be trying other Indian here in the area but gotta walk 10 extra block also drive.

Yelp
We ordered samosa chaat which was cold. We asked the server to warm it up. Instead of acknowledging his mistake he was explaining the chaat should be cold and giving blah blah..,later he warm it up(microwave). Then we got reshami kebab which was dry and not marinated overnight or properly. It was they put the green sauce on chicken and cooked it. They didn't serve any chutney which goes with chaat or tikka. This restaurant is not a proper Indian restaurant. They are using Bombay name just to get customers. They don't know how the Indian food should be cooked or serve.

Yelp
If you haven't try Indian food I highly recommend you order their dinner set It comes with everything! And the tandoori chicken so good ! You can't miss it out !

Yelp
Wow my favorite Indian place in Bay Ridge. The portions are worth it for the price and the flavors good I like the butter shrimp/ chicken/ vegetable and the kormas and samosas The Chana masala is good too. The man in the front is so nice too

Yelp
Incredible food. Great service. Incredible value. Not the most glamorous dining room, but excellent food. Very nice waiters.

Zachary A.

Yelp
Claimed I left negative reviews of their restaurant in the past, which I never did. Then decided not to fill my current order without telling me, stealing my money and saying I shouldn't leave negative reviews. I'm really confused. I never left a bad review but also, if they refused to make the food (which is their right to refuse service) why did they steal my money and not cancel the order or call me? This used to be a great restaurant that I've ordered from multiple times in the past. I don't feel safe ordering from this place anymore if this is their behavior. Avoid avoid avoid.

Yelp
Curry comes in a pint container but you get a lot of rice on the side. I got mostly bones with little meat and meat was too chewy.

Florence V.

Yelp
What did I just eat? The chicken tikka masala was SO RED that I thought I was eating paint. I scooped it over some rice and it dyes my plate. I had a few spoons but it just felt so wrong and unhealthy because of the intense food coloring that I couldn't bring myself to finish this. If only you can see the color of this. The mango lassi was on a similar boat and was more orange than what I'm used to when I order at other restaurants. Please stop using so much food coloring. Otherwise, chicken and vegetable Samosa was really good and the owner/staff was really nice and friendly. You get 10% off for using cash. I'm hesitant to try this restaurant again because of the overuse of food coloring.

Yelp
Food flavor is decent, at least better than many of the local indian restaurants in the area. However, at times the the taste in inconsistent. I have yet to see a high quality authentic indian restaurant in Bay Ridge area. Actually there are many indian restaurants in Bay Ridge and Brooklyn for that manner, unfortunately majority of places make food either too spicy or too sweet, or at time too blend with no flavor. I love indian food and would hope that more quality shefs join Brooklyn restaurants...

Derek W.

Yelp
I like the service and the food. Gave us complimentary rice pudding dessert at the end very cute. The restaurant was clean and food was good. Very creamy if you like your curry that way. The condiments was sweet and tangy. Overall a great experience. The food taste best when it just came out and steaming.

Karyna C.

Yelp
I love their tiki masala with chicken. It was so good. It is a little spicy so I asked it for no spice and it's still tasted so good. And they have pretty good non-and they're hot tea is so yummy.

Yelp
Ordered delivery through ubereats. Package was perfect. Food was delicious. Ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken tikka, & 2 garlic bread. Probably wouldn't ordered chicken tikka for delivery. I wanted shrimp tikka masala but they didn't have that on the menu. The garlic bread was very fresh & soft! I really like it a lot.

Hiyam H.

Yelp
Delicious India food! We ordered delivery. The food came hot and wrapped nicely. The Tikka Masala tasted so good. The garlic bread was fresh and delicious.

Onj J.

Yelp
Saw the decent reviews and walked in again last night. Another lovely September day, same sign on the front door advertising the back garden. But: they close the garden for dinner because of "mosquitoes". One party inside at 7 pm on a Friday night. Two other Indian places in Bay Ridge were packed. Can't imagine this place lasting unless they wake up and try to make it successful. Dudes. Buy a citronella candle!

Shan K.

Yelp
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible food. I placed an order today through Uber Eats. First, I ordered some pakoras, and they were incredibly red - like, what the hell? Then I also ordered an Aloo Paratha, which was nowhere close to an Aloo Paratha at all. They stuffed it with all-purpose flour that's usually used for puris, making it so greasy. Next, I ordered keema naan, which was super dry and didn't taste like keema naan at all. There were also some unappetizing things on it that made it even worse. Lastly, the Rasamali balls were so stiff and weird, and the milk in it was excessively sweet - it felt like someone had poured a whole bag of sugar into it. I'm never ordering from this place again; it completely ruined my cheat meal. I feel so disgusted after eating that. I'll never be ordering from this place ever again.

Halina S.

Yelp
Delicious, fluffy naan and an endless array of both sweet and spicy condiments. Mango chutney was sugary and slightly tangy-- wonderful when recovering from the spice. The saag masala felt light, fresh, and spicy (glad I selected "hot"). Probably wouldn't get the rasmalai again because it didn't have the rose flavor I like, but not to despair. It seems they threw in a tasty orange rice pudding (!).... which I had accidentally, initially, spread on my garlic naan...If you want delicious and varied flavors, order from here. I would love to dine in sometime soon.

Arthur S.

Yelp
Great Indian food, including the daily special. Had the saag paneer, pakora, and samosas. Mango Lassi was great as well. Garden looks super cute as well. Friendly and fast pickup order.

Mila T.

Yelp
Delicious food, super friendly server Shamim, cute garden in the back, decor of the restaurant itself is very simple.

Sam U.

Yelp
AMAZING! Very authentic, just as good as back home in the UK. Would absolutely recommend! Good pricing too.

Yelp
This is the place you want to go to have Chai and Samosa after a long stroll down the Bayridge pier and shore road or on a cloudy day. FOOD I LIKED Samosa = the best thing you can get off of the menu. Ask them for chutneys to go along with it. Masala chai = a tad bit milky (not how I like my tea) FOOD I DIDN'T LIKE Chicken Tikka Biryani = more like peas pulao with chicken tikka pieces, less salt, less flavor, doesn't satisfy the Indian taste buds. Gobi Manchurian = ordered it for delivery, was very vingear-y and sour and the gobhi chunks solidified into one congealed mass. Not my favorite both from flavor, taste, and crispiness. VENUE AND AMBIENCE THE BACKYARD IS BEAUTIFUL....If you are visiting this place, try going into their backyard. Definitely, a much better place than the seating inside as there is nothing special. On a cloudy and clear day, in the backyard with some nice snacks and chats and nice hot chai, this place will be a bustling spot. ******One thing that I wasn't happy with was that they didn't keep the tables in the backyard clean. Since it had rained a day before, the tables were dirty and dusty with leaves all over. We went during the evening after a walk for some chai and samosa, the backyard wasn't opened or cleaned till we went in. THINGS THAT CAN IMPROVE 1. Chutneys to not be watered down 2. Keeping backyard tables clean and neat all the time, its the selling point of the place for a good evening walk for chai and samosas The place is new and still trying to figure out its operations during the time of pandemic with very few staff who are responsible for taking care of this place which I appreciate, however, they can still do a good job with serving good flavorful menu and keep the place cleaner.

Mina P.

Yelp
Great service and solid flavors. The server (think he's the boss) was also doing lots of takeout orders at the same time so definitely a popular place! My table ordered 3 appetizers, 1 bread basket and 4 main dishes for less than $30pp after tax, tip and a 10% discount if you check in on Yelp. Highly recommend the samosas and mango lassi!

Rosemary R.

Yelp
We spontaneously decided to eat here while on a walk with our puppy as they have a backyard outdoor garden space to eat. So glad we did. Everything we ordered was delicious! My son can't stop talking about the vegetable samosas. My husband and I enjoyed the chicken vindaloo.. so good! The waiter was so kind to us and even gave my son a sweet treat as we left. Happy to have an Indian restaurant nearby. Counting the days til' we visit again!

Aziza A.

Yelp
I really love the food here. I usually order the chicken tiki masala and the garlic naan. Their garlic naan is the best I've ever had and I really do love the chicken masala as well.

Sergio P.

Yelp
Stopped here for something other than Mexican food & did not regret it. Being new I asked for a suggestion and he pointed me to the buttered chicken, I went with buttered goat instead. DELICIOUS.

Brooklyn B.

Yelp
Nope. Just ordered today and was super disappointed with the quality of the meal. The meat was dry and not of good quality the rice was broken... if you know you know and the biryani had no flavor with the butter chicken.

B R.

Yelp
Very delicious and authentic Indian food. A welcome addition to bay ridge! The staff are super attentive and friendly. The food is rich and creamy and has been made with care. I often get the butter chicken and you can taste that the chicken has been cooked in the oven prior to adding to the sauce, as it has a roasted fragrant flavor. I found the tikka masala on the sweeter side (not my preference as I don't like sweet foods) but it was still good. I'm excited to try more dishes there.

Sonia S.

Yelp
We took out from Bombay Masala for the first time. The app messed up our order excluding samosas for my daughter, and didn't realize it until we got home. After calling the restaurant, they offered to make a batch of samosas for pick up. The food was really fresh and very tasty. We took out from Bombay Masala for the first time. Yelp
Loved this place! Their outdoor garden seating area was so cute and charming, especially with the string lights on at night. Ordered chicken tikka masala with garlic naan; we were so blown away by how good it was that we ordered seconds. Prices were very affordable too. Our server was also SO kind and attentive and even gave us a free dessert after our dinner! Overall, an amazing experience. Will definitely be back.

Elisa C.

Yelp
The service was good, they answered questions patiently and refilled water constantly. The food was filling and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

Tapojyoti D.

Yelp
Strongly disappointed by the food. I think Indian food can be non spicy and still delicious. We ordered chicken biryani and chili chicken. Firstly, we were expecting the chili chicken to be the Indian-Chinese dish that we get in the subcontinent, however it turned out to be a curry - worlds apart and very underwhelming. The chicken pieces were tough and the dish was overall very bland. The chicken biryani was not anywhere close to what biryani is supposed to be. Green peas in chicken biryani was an eye opener! Wasn't aware that was a possibility! As expected, it was pretty bad. To be fair, I would rate the food not on what its name promises but on what I actually tasted. The food had Indian spices but the combinations were a new invention and okay overall. It tasted like the cook had not the slightest clue on how to make the dishes. I understand the restaurant has to cater to the palate of the locals but there are dishes that are true to Indian cooking and still be loved by locals. If Indian food has to be represented here then at least do it right. The extra star is for the potential the restaurant has if the food improves.

Arifur R.

Yelp
Ambiance, service and food is good . Nice place to bring family.
