18 Stellar Indian Restaurants in NYC

"This fun-loving spot boasts a narrow kitchen and dining room that opens out into a wonderful apartment building courtyard. The snacks and meals are all Mumbai style, including an aloo grilled cheese featuring chunks of masala potato and oozing white cheese, and an exemplary veggie burger bursting with savory spices. Strictly vegetarian." - Robert Sietsema

9 Best NYC Sandwiches of the Season - Eater NY

"Indian snack shops have developed some pretty wild and tasty vegetarian sandwiches over the years, and six-year-old Bombay Sandwich Co. on 27th Street in the city’s Wholesale District is no exception. This beauty is described on the menu as having a “samosa filling” and indeed it’s as if the outer layer of the hand-held tetrahedral treat has been stripped and the insides infused the sourdough bread. But then it’s layered with muenster and cheddar and it becomes a toasted cheese sandwich with the flavors of a samosa. Brilliant!" - Robert Sietsema

"Bombay Sandwich Co, Flatiron by Anti/Anti. A very healthy and hearty gluten-free vegetarian place that doesn't taste vegetarian. The food here fills you up but still leaves you feeling light. If you want to sit and eat, the shop opens up onto a small park with tables and chairs, perfect for Summer afternoon escapes from the office."

Definitely a tasty sandwich we had but had to knock off a star because I can’t believe it costs almost $18 and it comes with nothing. Things are just so expensive now. Good thing is, is a good portion of food but it won’t be all the time for me. Love that there are vegetarian/vegan options. Seating outside and inside (altho inside is quite warm!). Apple Pay/credit card accepted No bathroom.

Google
This is such an amazing spot! I LOVE their Bombay club sandwich- full of flavor and color, spice, and textures - it seriously has it all! I’ve tried a few other lunch sandwiches which are all good too- but I always come back for the Bombay club! Great vegan options and there are tables outside to sit now that the weather is getting nicer. A perfect lunch spot. Looking forward to trying other menu options in the future!

Google
The food is really rely good, though a bit expensive. Perhaps that's normal for New York and America. We actually went there on two separate occasions. They do vegan burgers and sandwiches that are really really nice to eat, as well as large in size. The staff are really friendly and the service quick and efficient. They do both take away and eat it. They have stools and bar where you can eat in. I would definately recommend them, even if you are not vegetarian or vegan. I honest don't think you will regret going

Google
I ordered dinner here. Contrary to their name, there's no Bombay sandwich on the dinner menu. No other Bombay specific dishes either. I like the food they had with good service. I liked the yellow dal, paneer and jackfruit main. The nan could have lived with slightly less oil. The padad was a bit sticky to the teeth.

The vegan bee

Google
Great vegan burgers and sandwiches! The mango burger in particular was amazing, one of the best flavors I’ve tasted for a vegan burger. They do have other vegan options as well, such as the Indian style bowls and sandwiches The cardamom coffee might not be for everyone, but definitely a healthier alternative. They have limited seating but there’s a semi-closed off public area to munch down right next to the shop, so a visit during lunchtime on a nice day out is recommended.

Google
🍚 Chana Masala bowl - with rice, kale pesto., vegan chicken curry and rice. All the items have their unique flavor and it was delicious. I liked the condiments with it This is a quick no frills spot with tons of vegan Indian sandwiches and bowl options. Unique concept since there are not a lot of Indian spots that do bowls! The only negative it’s kinda pricey but appropriate for the location.

Google
Great vegan spot with some good menu items. Their burgers and sandwiches are really good. The service is prompt. Have yet to try their bowls, definitely worth trying

Google
This spot never fails. The food is made with thought and care, you can taste it in every bite. The complex Indian spices and standards, reinvented with American classics. Eating here always makes me smile- the flavors, the kindness, the deliberateness - it all shines through. Today I got the vegan “club” sandwich - layered with flavors on delicious bread. Thank you.

Yelp
The burger here is an oxymoron. Lightly decadent. Heartily delicate. Messy enough that it's the first burger I've ever considered eating with a knife and fork. It falls apart alongside your bias against vegan burgers -- this food will change you. Golden field of grain Sunlight stains the windy wheat The earth rocks forward

Yelp
We are living in a golden era of sandwiches. I arrived at Bombay Sandwich Co.'s postage-stamp-sized outpost at 4 pm on a Wednesday to find it bereft of its usual Instagram-fueled congestion, and asked for a recommendation. The lady behind the counter pointed silently to the club sandwich, and I ordered, silently regretful that she hadn't steered me toward the burger I was hankering for. But once I got through my regret, this sandwich got better and better. Yes, it's a sandwich with Indian spices and chutneys and sauces, as delicious in practice as the theoretical concept would suggest. But as I worked my way through the sandwich, I noticed the details is overlooked: the slices of roasted beets, the fresh tomato, the nicely toasted bread, the construction that allowed me to eat a triple-decker sandwich without the aid of the thoughtfully provided fork. Delicious, subtle, complex, and every bit as unique as you expect. For $18, it's not a cheap casual lunch, but if I had the money that the people who work around here probably do, I'd treat myself once every couple weeks.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place. I got the Aloo Grill Cheese and it was delicious. This is a great option for vegan folks. The one con is that I find the price too high for the portion of food I received. The location is next to a plaza where you can sit down and enjoy your meal with a view.

Yelp
This place is simply amazing!!! The food here is very delicious and you can definitely expect an explosion of flavors as soon as you have a bite. I tried the Paneer Tikka Burger; it was so delicious and the Paneer was unbelievably fresh and soft, which is rare. I also tried Channa Masala bowl and it was the best Chana Masala I ever had in NY. All the items on the menu are flavor packed and will not disappoint you. I would highly recommended this restaurant. One tip: Don't forget to try their Masala Chai and Cardamom Coffee beverages. So GOOOOD!!!

Yelp
This narrow shop has some bar seating, but it also fronts a small urban park with independent seating and benches. So you might want to eat outside, as I did. The menu is concise and vegetarian. Choices not made offered impossible meats and vegan cheeses. I opted for the "Bombay Club" instead, with its' more straightforward components. The sandwich I got was large and filling, not least because it was about 4" thick. The stacked layers of different veggies were very colorful, and visually interesting. Lots of crunch and texture throughout. The sourdough bread was chewy in the center, with crisp (but not overly sharp) crusts at the edges. The sourdough's delicious taste powered through the entire sandwich. There was a small cup of (hot?) sauce in my bag, but it escaped my notice. It might have added a bit of needed moisture to the sandwich. I don't eat a lot of vegetarian sandwiches; they're an oxymoron and waste of money, in my own personal ethos. But I really enjoyed this meal. Enough that I would go back and try other items on the menu.

Yelp
I got the aloo grilled cheese sandwich ($17) and it made for a quick workday lunch. The spice is on the milder side so I recommend ordering extra spicy--I got just spicy and tasted no spice. The curry ketchup on the side was definitely a must-have. Portions are decent, maybe a bit on the smaller side.

Yelp
I came here after a long day at work to catch up with an old friend. It's a very intimate setting - they have a couple swirly chairs and across a long table for seating. I asked the cashier what the most popular dish out of the classic sandwiches, she recommended the Chana Masala sandwich so of course I ordered that! My friend ordered a hot French lentil bowl which she thoroughly enjoyed as well! Our order came within a couple minutes, and I was so pleased with the portion size and taste!! The bread was excellent, it crispy and not too chewy. The actual Chana masala was mild, but the in house hot sauce paired wonderfully with the sandwich! It balanced the right amount of spice needed to enjoy the meal. Next time I want to try the Bombay sandwich, this is a reasonably priced gem so close to Penn Station!! Highly recommend

Yelp
Ordered the mango chili burger, wish I had read other reviews first. Just like others mentioned, it was extremely soggy and as soon as I took my first bite, the entire patty fell out. Super messy to eat and not enjoyable at all.

Yelp
I am not a fan of hamburgers in general but the Bombay hamburger here is very delicious! The portion is big and filling, as shown in the picture. The flavor blends very well together and not greasy at all. The veggie patty does not taste like a meat patty but nevertheless still pretty tasty. I especially like the beet sauce and the red cabbage salad inside. The place itself is decorated nicely with seatings indoor and outdoor. Around $13 for a burger like this is not that bad. Would definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Really yummy bowl. I ended up building my own bowl (brown rice, channa masala, french lentils, and quinoa date and avocado salad). Obsessed! The only con was that it can get pricey for lunch ($15.29 + tax). The bowl was healthy, filling, and did not make me feel bloated. Definitely an option if you want to splurge for Indian.
google avatar

Amey P.

Yelp
The ambience is good, the location is good, service is good. But the taste is below average. Ordered this burger called Mango Chilli Burger (Veggie Patty). It was extremely soggy and as soon as I had the first bite the entire patty slipped out. I believe I had much better veggie burgers at American restaurants. When you visit a desi restaurant then the expectation is to have taste similar to what you have in India. However, this wasn't close enough. Also, it is overpriced as according to the taste. Wanted to try Bombay club as well but skipped due to the experience I had.
google avatar

Yelp
Their bowls here are so delicious! Indian food for dine-in or take out is always good, but this place takes take-out Indian food to another level - would highly recommend the Chana Masala. Vegetarian food should always be this good!
google avatar

Katrina W.

Yelp
This place is an amazing little find! You can snag some vegan eats loaded with superfoods! I decided on the platter to try 5 items over brown rice and the helping was perfect! The food was perfectly seasoned! I had the turmeric tofu, Chana masala, kale salad, quinoa salad, cucumber and tomato salad, along with mango lemonade. This isn't ideal for groups, but is a perfect small place to grab a quick and healthy bite!

Yelp
The place has vegan food . I will call it a fusion food. It good to give it a try . I had the chickpeas burger , was good. It's mostly a take out place . Have lesser seating .

Yelp
My wife and I went here for lunch and we got: 1.Ganga Janina drink- perfect balance of taste and flavor and a good hydrating drink for a warm day. 2.Iced chai - Perfectly sweetened and refreshing 3.Paneer Tikka burger- Best panned Tikka burger I have had in my life. Perfectly toasted burger buns, mint chutney was on the spot. 4. Make your own bowl with vegan chicken curry. The vegan chicken curry was mind blowing. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Came for lunch and ordered the Bombay Club. It was a good size and nicely cooked, the bread was toasted golden brown and all of the ingredients were hot even after 30min. The flavor was fantastic and I would definitely get it again. The chili ketchup it comes with is a nice addition. It is a little pricey for a vegetarian sandwich (especially with tax) but worth it.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Healthy, authentic, delicious Indian food. The ingredients are all high-quality and extremely fresh. The restaurant opens to a lovely parklet that is a nice leafy oasis with plenty of seating.
google avatar

Justine B.

Yelp
Pros: -Multiple vegan options (savory and sweet) -Love the brown rice since its healthier than white rice -Fresh and good quality chutney -Vegan chicken curry bowl is delicious and perfect for one with leftovers or 2 to share -Perfect balance and ratio of cucumber salad to brown rice and vegan chicken curry in the bowl -Potatoes in bowl cooked perfectly -Food is ready quickly Cons: -I wish they sold full bottles of the chutney

Yelp
Had the club sandwich. 10 out of 10...filling and healthy. Even the beets tasted good.
google avatar

Sanyukta H.

Yelp
Paneer tikka burger was absolutely delicious! The paneer was so soft yet did not crumble on the plate. I reheated the burger at home and yet it was still extremely soft. Will go back just for this burger!! The sauce paired perfectly with the paneer! Club sandwich was good too, lots of veggies, although it could have used a little bit more seasoning.

Yelp
Had the absolute pleasure of coming here for a Yelp event a couple of weeks ago to sample some of the items on the menu and learn a little about Bombay's mission and founding. Bombay Sandwich Co. is a vegan Indian lunch spot (although some dishes are vegetarian) using all natural, healthy ingredients and featuring an exciting array of sandwiches, bowls, wraps, etc. At under $10 a pop, Bombay is one of the cheaper lunch places in the area for sure. This event took place at the Flatiron location; while not the biggest space, there was some seating. I'd say it's definitely more of a takeout joint though. For the event, we had the opportunity of trying the mango lemonade (absolutely to-die-for - strong mango flavor without too much sweetness) and three of the sandwiches: the Tofu Masala (tofu, fenugreek, fennel, onion seed, sautéed tomato, onion and cabbage), the Mozzarella and Apple (fresh mozzarella with homemade tomato chutney, pickled apples, fresh basil, sliced tomato and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil), and the Kale and Sweet Potato Wrap (marinated kale, beets, carrots & cabbage with sweet potato, dried cranberries, fresh ginger & carom seed, with date chutney). My favorite was the wrap, which was super flavorful and filling. While the Mozzarella and Apple wasn't for me (I'm not a big fan of apples in general), I still enjoyed it nonetheless. The Tofu Masala was great as well. One of the unspoken stars of the cuisine, however, was the incredible, homemade hot sauce - the recipe for which the owner had gotten from his own mother. It packed some heat, but the spiciness didn't overwhelm the flavor in the slightest. All in all, really solid food. Tough to please a meat eater like myself with vegan, but Bombay definitely hit the spot. Looking forward to taking my (vegan) siblings here next time they come into the city. Thanks Yelp x Bombay Sandwich Co!

Yelp
Have been in town for the past week and staying around the corner from here. Read in the reviews the Bombay burger was the dish to go with, and oh man were those reviews right. If you're unsure about if to come here or not, or what to get, the Bombay burger is unlike anything I've ever had! Flavors are hard to describe, but it's like a divine explosion of Indian flavor mixed with American sandwichery in your mouth. 10/10/10 recommend. I will be here again
google avatar

Leah C.

Yelp
I had no idea that this was a vegetarian shop when I walked in, and I didn't really know what to order, but the place just smelled amazing so I knew I had to try something. Another customer came in raving about the Bombay burger so I just said I'd have the same. My expectations weren't too high but..wow! Highly recommended!
google avatar

Neha G.

Yelp
Excellent sandwich! I tried one of the new menu options... the Mango Chili Beyond Burger! All vegan and flavor packed. Also ordered the vegan mango lassi. Both were great! The service was pretty slow. I even wanted another drink and stood at the counter for a long time but no one came out to check on me. I gave up and left. Seems the cashier is also the one making sandwiches? Also $20 seemed a bit hefty for a burger and drink. Overall decent food (albeit a little pricey) but service is a little slow. Seating consists of stools and there is no restroom.

Yelp
Bombay Sandwich Co. is so good! My husband and I moved upstate last year and I've been missing places like this up there. I usually go to Inday when I'm in the area, but today I was wandering around and came across this place. I got the Chana Dal sandwich -- it was delicious! My dad is from India and one of my big pet peeves is when Indian food isn't properly spiced. I honestly think this Chana Dal was one of the best I've ever had! Whenever I'm in the area this will be one of my go to places from now on.

Yelp
Came here for a yelp event and got to try their sandwiches. The interior is set up in a railroad fashion however there is a good amount of seating. There is an outdoor area where I believe has music playing so you can order inside and eat outside which is very cool for the summer. The owner is a young passionate guy whose goal was to make genuinely healthy and organic sandwiches and I think he achieved that. Everything is prepared from scratch. I had the organic tofu masala sandwich, mozzarella and apple and the kale and sweet potato wrap and I liked them in that order. I'm not a fan of tofu by any means however this sandwich had depth of flavor and coupled with their homemade garlic chili hot sauce( which is a glorified sriracha) is amazing. The mozzarella and apple was ok, very simple and fresh and what you would expect it to taste like. The kale and sweet potato was a little messy to eat and includes beets which automatically made it my least favorite sandwich. They have a lot of other items apart from sandwiches on their menu and I'll definitely be back to try them. Come for the hot sauce and stay for the food!
google avatar

Yelp
After work 15 years in the same area, I was looking for something new and awesome and found Bombay on Yelp. Not necessarily a vegetarian/vegan but I love trying new things. The place has scaffolding but signage is visible so you won't miss it. This is a take out type of place. They have a couple of stools for those that need to lay into it immediately. I had the fresh Mozzarella with tomato on Ciabatta bread and a Vegan Turmeric milk. It was so good. The mozzarella and apple sandwich is so light. The green apples gave it a tarty taste that was delicious. They also provide a small container of the best hot sauce I've tried in a bit. The vegan turmeric milk was so refreshing. It tasted like oat milk. It was a delicious pairing for a quick lunch. Well worth the 7 avenues I walked to eat it.
google avatar

Andy H.

Yelp
Best vegan spot in the universe. I love it. I really mean that. Yelp wants me to write more in this review so I like everything on the menu. It's all good stuff.
google avatar

Kathy T.

Yelp
Quick and friendly service. Grabbed a couple of sandwiches while working to go. We had the Chana Masala and the Kale Pesto Grilled Cheese. Both were tasty and filling. We also had the Ganga Jamuna and the Coconut Passion Fruit Tea. Also both were refreshing and tasty. Great place to grab a lunch. Not a lot of seating, but there are plenty of places around here to sit and eat outside if the weather permits.

Kelly G.

Yelp
What a gem! Located in a serene courtyard. A perfect little oasis in the middle of the bustling city. I got the Chana Masala with spinach rice. So flavorful, like a home cooked meal - added fresh crunchy veggies rounds out the whole experience.
google avatar

Yelp
I work in this neighborhood on Wednesdays and, always looking for vegan options, I discovered this little place on W. 27 St. last week. I decided to try it for lunch today and was I delighted with my meal! I had the french lentil bowl, with avocado slices and extra hot sauce and it was amazing!. Tasty, fresh and attractively prepared........ I can hardly wait to go back to try something else! Note: some reviewers mentioned another location on W. 35 St, but I was told today that they have sold the one at that location.
google avatar

Keerthana K.

Yelp
Amazing Vegetarian/Vegan food that reminds of quick eats in India I had the panneer sandwich and chai. The service was quick and the food was perfectly flavored. They had a vegan option for chai which was great. Would definitely stop by here for more food.

Yelp
This hole in the wall place was truly a good find. We were looking for place to eat near our hotel and stumbled upon on this place. At first we both had doubts about thIs place but when we started eating, the Chana Masala bowl was amazing. We make Chana Masala at home but it was totally different and it felt like we are eating home cooked chana masala bowl. The garden sandwich was good but it could have better. I was intrigued by the logo of this place and it was something different. In my opinion if you need a quick bite then do check out this sweet little spot to satisfy your hunger.
google avatar

George H.

Yelp
The sandwiches here are solid and large volumed. I could live off an entire day with just one of the wraps. For the location it is in, it has great value for money. And it has a lot of vegetarian options, which is very difficult in and as if itself to find. The place is tiny, not much seating inside, built more like a corridor. But there is seating outside. And provided the weather is good, it's a great place for a break...
google avatar

Yelp
Super-savory delicious and healthy goodness...WOW. Vegan sandwiches and bowls are delectable without being over-indulgent. Bombay Sandwich Co. makes everything better; I'm so happy they are in the neighborhood! Quick and efficient delivery. We loved everything, especially the extremely creative chana masala sandwich and vegan palak paneer dish! Such inventive, fun, and delicious new tastes. The only thing is that I wish each option on the menu was clearly marked as V, GF, etc. to make it easier to distinguish between vegan vs. vegetarian items. I contacted the restaurant who replied quickly and thoroughly that "Everything in our restaurant is 100% vegan except for - Fresh Mozzarella & Apple Sandwich - Honey Fennel Grilled Cheese - Kale Pesto Grilled Cheese - Yogurt and Feta Cheese options - Chai & Coffee - you can request for us to make it with almond milk Everything else is vegan and all of the bowls and salads are also gluten free." They also recommend that you order directly through their website, which I'm sure I'll do many times! Love Bombay Sandwich Co.!

Yelp
Correction of the previous review. I used to order from them quite often when. I worked in the area. Unfortunately I no longer work there. But the other day I swung by and ordered my favorite "the Chana Masala bowl" and two chana Masala sandwiches. It was so tasty. I don't mind going a bit out of my way to get the food. It's definitely worth it.
google avatar

Meagan A.

Yelp
Was really good ! My only complaint and I hope this reaches who every is assembling the wraps ... the parchment paper should not get folded into the wrap. I bit into it before I realized and had to disassemble the other half which was very messy.
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Great healthy fast casual spot that isn't just the normal American fanfare. Their bowls, sandwiches, and salads all have an Indian twist on them. Between two people we got the Chana Masala bowl and kale & hearty salad with the coconut ladoo for dessert. The Chana masala bowl was very spicy, but great when combined with the rice and veggies to cool it off a bit. The kale & hearty salad had a great dressing and flavor to it! I thought it would be really mediocre, but it was great. The coconut ladoo was really good! They added chia seed and golden raisins. Great texture and flavors.
google avatar

Milena H.

Yelp
Easy to miss gem in Flatiron. It's small place but there's a counter with stools and outdoor seating area. The Chana Masala bowl was very filling and delicious.
google avatar

Amelia Z.

Yelp
Love them always. Never disappoints. All their bowls are great, especially the chana masala bowl. Their sandwiches are not to missed as well. Healthiest fast food restaurant.

Karamvir G.

Yelp
Super tiny restaurant in the heart of Manhattan. I got the paneer tikka burger which was great 9.5/10. The paneer was very soft and wasn't overly fried. Nice place for quick meal/snack.

Yelp
Went to this delightful small shop. I had the "KALE-PESTO GRILLED CHEESE," $8.73. It has feta & fresh mozzarella melted with homemade kale-walnut pesto, tomato and black pepper, Grilled in 7 Grain Bread. It was delicious. I also had a cup of their "VEGGIE LENTIL SOUP", $4.96. It's homemade soup server with a slice of 7 grain bread. To warm my bones on the go, I got a cup of their "MASALA CHAI". It's $2.76 for the small and $3.67 for the large. It's a combination of brewed milk tea with fresh ginger and spices. It was very good. Personally I love chai that burns horribly on the way down so this was not the best chai I've ever had but very close. Overall a great little place for lunch for vegetarians.

Yelp
Really, really good lunch spot. Over the last few months of using meal pal this has become one of my go-to's. Here's why: 1. They give a really wholesome portion that's packed with flavor. While I've only had their chana masala and french lentil bowls, both have been spot on every time I've ordered them. The combination of legumes, rice, and salad is actually ridiculously filling and the best part is since it's nutrient dense you won't be hungry an hour later. 2. Love the simple, straight forward ingredients. 3. The SAUCES. This is what takes their bowls up a notch. Savory, spicy, and complex - each bite is a lil' different and I love that. 4. This is a pro (and kind of a con) but everything is always piping hot. Some spots that participate in meal pal just leave your food sitting around for hours. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait for your order, but totally worth it. I'd upload photos but every time I get back to my office I end up devouring it right away. Whoops.
google avatar

Cheena G.

Yelp
Love the flavors s the red sauce is to die for. Chana masala sandwich is really amazing! Tea is pretty good too. Tofu sandwich is delicious. I keep going back for more and more. Perfect Indian meal and definitely addictive to taste buds

Yelp
So, I am Indian and I actually don't like eating Indian food out because it always seems too spicy and/or oily for my liking. Well, I checked out this place and really enjoyed it!! Had no idea it was vegan and even though I eat meat, I loved it! It had all the Indian spices that reminded me of home plus the added benefit of eating something that is healthy and makes me feel good inside and out. Highly recommend this place. Vegan or not try it out! Oh and their mango lemonade is on point! Not too sweet and oh so thirst quenching. Go!

Aditya K.

Yelp
This is such a cute restaurant that you could easily walk by. I tried the Paneer Burger and it was INCREDIBLE. The bread was nice and crispy, the masala was on point for a Bombay sandwhich, and the vegetables thinly sliced. the real star was the paneer which was nicely grilled and packed full of flavor. Also had the vegan mango lassi which was pretty good and thankfully not as heavy as a regular one is. Will return!

Yelp
Funny story, I never thought to look this place up before trying it, nor did anybody recommend it to me. I came across it on a whim while looking for a place to hide out for during a storm. Funny enough what drew me to come inside was a pleasant aroma radiating from within. The smell was akin to curry, tumeric, or cumin. I wasn't too sure, but the ambiguity made it all the more alluring. I've never tried anything there, neither did I want to look stupid. So I quickly requested the first item that came to my eye, which was, wait for it - the first item on the menu. It turned out pretty tasty, maybe tastier than I had anticipated. I have at this point tried the first four to five items on the menu. Without a doubt, I can say everything is freshly made, and the ingredients are wholesome and flavorful. However, I do feel the portions could be larger if the establishment wanted to make them larger, given the price points. Affordable yes, but keeps me full? Quite frankly, no. I do find myself a bit hungry within three hours. But this could also be as a result of not having yet fully accommodated to the vegan diet. Who knows? Maybe in a couple months I'll be fully trained, or a vegan veteran to be able to tackle a sandwich from here once more and not be hungry within five hours of consumption. I also do think that, as a vegan, it is something to be mindful of and to be attentive to these changing patterns + frequencies in cravings.. Especially when your body feels hungry. Because vegetables digest faster than meat does. But that can be a good thing, considering how this country is known to be consuming meat at an unhealthy rate All right, well ciao!!!!

Yelp
Definitely go with your fellow Yelper's recommendations and get the chai tea here! It's not some Starbucks garbage and it tastes really authentic. Think milk tea but with a slight hint of spicness from the cardamom and Indian spices if you've never had chai tea before. Despite being known for their sandwiches, I stopped by here on a Friday evening to pick up a French lentil bowl. The photos here on Yelp made me do it lol. Despite having no meat in this dish whatsoever, my overall impressions was that the meal was filling and had a interesting assortment of textures, tastes and colors. There was also a slight kick from the red chili flakes. Also provided was a side salad of cucumbers, tomatoes and shallots. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience here and I definitely look forward to returning in the near future to try out their sandwiches.
