The 38 Best Restaurants in Mumbai, India | Eater

"Bombay Sweet Shop is like if Willy Wonka’s factory had a base in India. Crossing traditional Indian mithai confectionery with modern flavors, chef Girish Nayak has created marvels like a Kaapi Paak (a coffee-flavored version of Mysore’s iconic ghee and gram flour sweet), seasonal ghevar strawberry tarts, and fudge made with Parle-G biscuits. Nostalgia drifts like a theme through a ton of Bombay Sweet Shop creations. If the sugar rush is overwhelming, order a portion of spicy kachoris to give your taste buds a break." - Sumedh Natu

Love your bark butterscotch but had a bad experience when my cousin ordered it for me via zomato. Firstly the bill was 1768inr and zomato charged me 1828inr. The delivery person was rude because he did not have change and it took me sometime to get change. I would sincerely suggest not to buy via zomato.

Finally had the opportunity to visit the famous Bombay Sweet Shop! Although I couldn’t have much as I had already ordered a bunch of sweets earlier on the occasion of Women’s Day! Nevertheless the vibe was fantastic! The interiors were also fantastic!

Mithais are more than just good packaging and presentation. People may be all impressed with BSS but honestly I was a bit underwhelmed. I have gifted friends and family with their items . But they are overdoing the fusion stuff , which I guess is the point but they are losing their vision. I also think they do not use good quality chocolate for their brittle and fudge. The fudge tastes flat and nothing of chocolate. The only decent thing maybe the chocolate butter cookies . I would like to like them but they need to make it make sense for the price I pay .

The barks are delicious. However, after years of eating them I read the ingredient list and realised that they use chocolate compound (which has vegetable fat instead of cocoa butter). Considering Bombay Sweet Shop's positioning and packaging, one would assume the quality of ingredients is excellent, but clearly that is not the case. It is also disappointing that I cannot find the ingredient list on the product page (as far as I looked). When I sent them a Whatsapp recently to check if the ingredients had changed, they said they use 'dark chocolate'. When I asked if it is compound, they said it was. Incidentally, compound is NOT chocolate since it has no cocoa butter, only cocoa powder. Seems to me like a deliberate attempt to hide the poor quality of the ingredients while enjoying cost cutting benefits.

While their products are great, their delivery to Goa and then trying to get in touch with the store via their WhatsApp number was not. They assured me the bulk order would be dispatched on Friday 10th. It was not. Then the tracking number provided says the parcel was delivered yesterday. It was not! Please do look into changing your courier partners or making other provisions for what you know is going to be a busy festive season. Your products are fantastic and it’s a shame that the delivery is letting you’ll down.

Don’t buy from them online! I placed an online order in time for Diwali. The order was well Packaged but had an important missing item - the kaju katli burfi. Their customer service does not exist! Neither on WhatsApp, email or phone. Best to go to the store and get what you pay for instead of paying for missed items and chasing them with no result.

I had a disappointing experience with Bombay Sweet shop. I had placed my order a week in advance for a delivery to Delhi , but it was cancelled without any prior intimation or email notification. Upon following up through their Instagram handle, I was informed that they were unable to arrange a courier due to the Diwali rush. While I completely understand the challenges of managing festive demand, such delays or cancellations should be communicated proactively to customers. Additionally, I was told that I would receive an email regarding the refund, but no such communication was sent. I had to follow up again on Instagram to get an update. Overall, the lack of communication and follow-through has been quite disappointing. I hope the team improves its customer communication and service processes, especially during busy festive periods. I have ordered from this place in the past but only for delivery within Mumbai and never tried getting stuff delivered to a different state Update: The above issue was resolved and i received a full refund for the Delhi package, all other packages were delivered on time in Mumbai , thanks a lot Yash for sorting this out

I got an hamper from my office as diwali gift. Really bad hampers. Chocolate Butter Bites are worst. Cheese Chilli Bhujiya tastes bad. Seriously degrading Indian food. They have spent all money on packaging but tastes really worse. Especially for money this costs.
