Where to Eat Indo Chinese Food in London | Eater London

"Another Hounslow restaurant, Bombay Wok’s Twin Peaks-ish black and red colour palette looks and feels like a worn down version of Hakkaland. Still, the food is just as good, with the almost identical menu revealing the influence of Steven Lee’s expert hand. Manchow soup is generous with nuggets of prawns and crispy noodles, while kung pao potato with chilli and cashews is aloo gobi’s evil twin. Better still are the chicken lollipops, perfect to suck on before ordering a truly outrageous dessert of crispy noodles soaked in honey and served with ice cream." - Jonathan Nunn

I had a wonderful experience at this Indo-Chinese restaurant! The food was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly balanced a great mix of spices and textures that really stood out. The service was just as impressive. Amelia took such great care of us, making sure everything was just right. She was warm, attentive, and added a personal touch that made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Amelia’s excellent service!

A family staple. We have celebrated many birthdays and occasions here… Adrian and Amelia make the experiences even more special. The food is excellent and service is great.

Authentic Indian Chinese from Amchi Mumbai !! Crispy Honey Chicken and Tom Yum soup was divine. The chicken lolipop is to die for! We had the Kung Pao chicken, Sapo Fish, Hakka noodles and Singapore fried rice. For a party of 4 this order and portion size was perfect! The flavours and spices were spot on. Definitely a place I will be coming back to!

Such a lovely experience! The food was absolutely delicious, freshly made, full of flavour, and truly authentic. You can tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. The staff were super friendly and genuinely lovely. Honestly, everything hit the spot. Definitely one of those places you actually look forward to coming back to!

Fusion flavours here with indo Chinese cuisine. Certainly value for money. The venue is okay and has plenty of space. Food was okay with 1 or 2 really great dishes(honey crispy and tai pai). The waiter /front desk guy was great. His service and attentiveness was good but what really stood out was his guidance through out the menu and his knowledge of the menu and the cooking of some of the dishes. As a foodie and an accomplished cool this is always good for me to know when I am questioning on the menu. Chicken lollipops were not great and neither was the sweet and sour and very odd crispy noodles with ice cream. Messy eating and just not that great a combination as it sounds. Paid parking available. Drinks a little pricey as you would expect in most restaraunts. Thanks.

We visited this place after hearing a lot of good things, but sadly, our experience was not great. We ordered Manchurian Dry, but it tasted bitter because it was burnt. The lady who served us was very polite and helped us replace it, but even the second one tasted the same and was too oily. We also had Schezwan Veg Fried Rice, which was low on salt and again very oily. The only thing we liked was the dessert Brownie with Madagascar Vanilla Ice Cream that tasted really good. Overall, we were disappointed with the food. Maybe the chef was new or having a bad day, but we expected better.

This was our second visit here. One of my colleague recommended. It’s well placed, close to high street. Usually not very rush, we got seating easily. Quick service and friendly staffs. Indo-Chinese food tastes, especially chicken lollipops was good. Main courses were okay, could have been better with less soya sauce. Overall we felt starters were better than main courses.

I love Bombay Wok, it's the best indo-chinese restaurant this side of town, the food is consistent. I've been coming regularly for the past 3 years and it the taste or quality has never changed. The staff are very friendly and nice, we loved Adrian, he has moved and even though we miss him, we love Emilia too. My only small feedback is that I wish they had more help as sometimes they only have 2 members of staff serving which can make the service slow, other than that I love this place!
