Love love love! This is my favorite place to bring friends and family from out of town. It’s impressive and delicious and the service is really wonderful. Today, we were lucky enough to be helped by Vincent, Ash, and Elle. They made the experience fun and easy! The first time we came here, we came for the Ice Cream but we come back because we adore Elle ❤️ Elle has amazing energy, radiates kindness, has excellent customer service skills and makes delicious ice cream treats 🤗 we love bombshell!

My son and I came here after googling for ice cream nearby and I’m so glad we did. Elle was so wonderful with explaining everything from how to build our ice cream, to how the ice cream is made in house and the quality of ingredients used. Everything was delicious, but the customer service we received really made this an excellent experience. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town.

My husband and I went here today and I have to say El greeted us with the best energy and the most warming and welcoming smile. We didn’t plan on getting anything at first but just came to check it out but El’s customer service really persuaded us to try it out. After the first bite our mouths were in heaven! Such a cute ice cream place!! The idea is simple... Make your own ice cream bars. Their dairy free versions include: a sour gummy sorbet, oat milk chocolate, and oatmilk vanilla (big and small). We enjoyed the great service, clean and cute atmosphere, and of course, the ice cream. I do wish they had high chairs for kids though.

I love all of the options this place has. It was very cool to customize my ice cream bar and experiment with toppings. There are many options to mix and match, so I imagine everyone could make a combination they would enjoy. If you just want ice cream, there are other places you could probably get some cheaper, but this place offers a more fun experience and cute interior.

I travel to Michigan for work every month or so and always make everyone i’m working with come here with me. My favorite ice cream place in the whole midwest. House made vegan options!!!!

Bombshell is a lovely ice cream and coffee Cafe in downtown Berkley, a block north of the High School. You get to customize your ice cream at every step. You choose your bar or soft serve option, then your syrup or chocolate, and add on any other toppings like sprinkles, marshmallows, dummies, and more. There are also custom preset versions to choose from. Bombshell has non dairy ice cream options and lots of gluten free toppings which is highly appreciated if your family has any dietary restrictions as mine does. There's also coffee drinks, hot chocolate, and pretzels. There are seasonal and monthly specials. The store is bright and clean, and the staff are lovely and happy to help. This has become a neighborhood favorite. They cater too!

What can I say about Bombshell that hasn't been said already. Walking inside is a dopamine doses. The welcoming nature feels like a warm hug. Especially when you run into this one particular cashier; you know who you are. The passionate, and the absolute most sweetest. The room is very cute. Stripped back pink and white decor with a backdrop of a flamingo sunset, i was blessed with the perfect environment to get some great ice cream. This spot is very well known for its involvement with the Berkley community; this year's Halloween kicked off with a ghost-hunting game, ran by Bombshell, with ghosts painted on different Berkley locations. If you got them all right, you earned a free piece of candy. Yay! I was surprised to see that they just added a Matcha Latte to their drinks menu; one I had to check out. It was alright. Honestly tasted like the ones they have at Starbucks, a very shallow taste of sweetness with a grassy undercarriage. Not worth the price, but refreshing nonetheless. Although I adore simply complex idea of... I forgot the name, so I'll just call it a Pretzel Concoction, I can't get behind how bare knuckles the pretzel is. I'll give it some grace though because the ice cream itself is definitely something. Creamy and memorable. The cherry syrup they use goes so well over the mildly melted ice cream, and it's all my girlfriend could think about throughout the day. I like Bombshell. When we're talking about comfortability, cleanliness, general mood/vibe, and customer service, we reach an easy 5, genuinely some of the best out there. However, the treats you get are quite expensive, and not worth the price. I've had ice cream bars from the gas station that are more enjoyable (and worth it) than the ones at this place. 8 dollars for a single ice cream bar is ACTUALLY laughable. It's just overly sweet white chocolate with pre-frozen, ice cream truck quality "ice cream" inside of it. I'm sorry, it's not even cream. It's just ice. 3/5

Had to update my review with new pics after we went again in October. They had the cutest Halloween themed bars. Would definitely recommend checking it out for Halloween!!

I saw this place all over social media wanted to try it out. The concept is very cool and they the staff was very helpful. There is a pre set menu and an option to build your own, I personally chose to build my own and it was a tad too sweet for my liking.

dia de los muertos - brown butter ice cream with a sugar skull! need i say more?! service was exceptional with gorgeous smiles and fantastic energy. i mean - surrounded by all of that goodness all day - who wouldn't be!! i am so glad to stop by here. when i saw them on facebook i just knew i has to stop by. i love this idea! and its so cute and in such a cute town - berkley! bonus. they had their trunk or treat going on and i got to see some cutie kids and their families in costume. it was a great day for some sun and fun! stop by here asap!

Small business, order at the counter. Pick your ice cream or sorbet bar, dips, syrups, toppings and more. A build your own ice cream bar. Cool! A fun concept, kids really like the idea for sure. We got a mini Madagascar vanilla bar with cookies and cream dip, toffee bits and a blueberry basil sorbet with blackberry and blue raspberry dip, raspberry syrup and edible glitter. $12.72 The mini Madagascar vanilla wasn't bad. Pretty simple toppings and dip. The blueberry basil sorbet was good on its own. I wasn't really loving either the blackberry, blue raspberry dip or the raspberry syrup. Took off the dip after a couple of bites.

Such a fun and unique twist on classic ice cream. I tried their sweet and salty combo and it was so delicious even down to the actual ice cream bar itself. They also have such a cute interior and lots of space outdoors to enjoy. I will most certainly be returning to try other combos

The ice cream treats were amazing. My grandchildren thought they were perfect. Cappuccino was excellent as is no need to add anything. We will definitely be returning. Service was great too.

As someone who cannot enjoy dairy, I miss ice cream treats. I truly enjoyed my chocolate oatmilk bar with dip and toppings. The ice cream is flavorful and smooth, no icy faux ice cream here. Also the staff were so friendly, informative and pleasant. My daughter and niece enjoyed their full dairy treats as well. Price point is great, quality amazing and the atmosphere is too cute. I'm looking forward to trying more treats soon, the hot chocolate is calling me once fall temps are here to stay.

This is a cute place to get a cold ice cream treat. I ordered a cherry pop and it was a delicious fruity flavor with a crunchy shell. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy inside and out. The best part is you can customize your treat and watch them dip and garnish it. It's good for kids and adults.

Super cute place. You can make your own custom ice cream bar. You first choose your base, then dips , drizzles, and toppings. They have a good variety of different flavors/toppings to choose from. They have dairy free options, too. Each bar is a bit expensive after you add all the customizations.

This is a must visit place in Berkeley. Huge selection of dipped, frozen dessert bars. Great selection to choose from including dairy free options, dozens of topping choices. The store is bright, clean, colorful, and the staff is delightful

I enjoyed my experience overall. It was very busy so it was a long wait but the staff was nice. It a little expensive $5 for a bar and the dips, drizzles and toppings are all a separate additional cost. I ordered the mini milk and cookies bar and was very delicious. The ambiance is nice it is small and kind of cramped with all the people that were in there but everyone was understanding which made the experience better. I will definitely be back.

This place is the bomb. Wait - did someone already say that in a review? Oh well - I am doing it again since its so fitting! First of all this is the cutest shop EVER. Such a wonderful addition to the city of Berkley. The ice cream - you guys - SO GOOD. All of the pops are house made and the ice cream is so creamy and delicious and full of flavor. You can pick from one of their suggestions or make a concoction of your own. There are so many fun toppings to choose from! Can we pause to talk about the chocolate for a second? This isn't that waxy chocolate you may be used to from ice cream places. This is super high quality belgium chocolate. My mouth is drooling just thinking about it. I could eat it just by itself!!! side note: it would be soooo good on strawberries like all those viral videos of strawberries in london?!?! hint hint if you are looking to expand your offerings :P Yes the prices are a little higher but it is worth it. Trust me. Everything is just the highest quality that it can be. I mean I can see the vanilla bean in the vanilla ice cream! The staff is amazing. So nice and friendly and happy to make any suggestions if you are stuck on what to get? My tip? Try the carrot cake bar!!! Probably not one of the most popular but its was SO GOOD. And I don't even like carrot cake!!!! Excited to see all the amazing things that Bombshell will continue to offer. I am so so happy that they choose Berkley to open thier flagship store.

Tasty treats and a great staff. I tried going on opening day but too crowded, so today I decided I deserved a treat and I got the Berry Queen. The only thing that bothered me was the music was kinda too loud.

We decided to stop here the other day for a sweet treat and it did not disappoint. The kiddos loved watching 'glitter' be added to their strawberry sorbet bars. I myself got the Berry Bar. Which was a vanilla Bar dipped in cherry and covered in pop rocks. My one complaint might be that the electronic menu switches far too quickly and EVERYONE - I mean everyone is trying to read the Bar Flavors and it makes for a really long line and a lot of squinting customers.... Maybe post a few copies on the walls? Other than that, what a fun little spot for a dazzling sweet treat!

Everything here is so cute and yummy! The staff is very friendly including the owner (? not sure, tall and hair usually wrapped up). They are very patient with children. The concept is unique, I'm very happy they're part of the Berkeley downtown.

I've been interested in trying this place since it opened. Today was the day! The ice cream is homemade, and you can taste that. The idea is cute as well. The people are wonderful and friendly, and I'm glad I tried it. BUT, at $6 - $8.50 per bar, they seem very expensive -- especially since it's the size of a regular ice cream bar that you'd buy anywhere.

Wow. What a refreshing spin on ice cream! We took the nephews and niece tonight and loved it! We will be back soon.

This is such a fun experience for all ages ! My little one was mesmerized and the staff was very friendly! They were quite busy, but the line moved quickly. We ordered two of the s'mores summer flavor combos and ooooooooo was it good! But you do need to eat it fast. They have mini versions of the ice cream pop too so it's good for little kids you don't want to give too much ice cream too/or that they won't finish. We will be back!

7-5-2024 Super great service but my Pretzel Knot Again sundae was just ok. The pretzel was average and it could be what I ordered but it was too sweet for my taste and lacked complexity.

What a unique little ice cream shop! The cold brew float was awesome, I've never seen that offered before and will be back for another! The service was very friendly and helpful.

This place is the bomb! The treats are a work of art. There is a positive vibe in the shop, from the friendly employees to the colorful surroundings. I had the limited edition Margarita bar. This was made with margarita sorbet which really tasted like drinking a margarita. I hope this bar becomes a permanent part of the menu, as it was incredibly good.

Stumbled into this adorable spot and couldn't resist. Upon entry we were welcomed by a couple members of the staff. Everyone was so pleasant. Even with a bit of a wait they were attentive, thanking us for being patient and working together to move the line along. I had the milk & cookies and it was delicious. I love that they also have vegan options.

We love Bombshell treat bar! It's a unique experience picking your ice cream bar, dip, and toppings. Complete with edible glitter. For an extra treat, put your creations under the black lights for spooky season and watch them glow. They offer loyalty points and punch cards too!

First off, the ice cream is delicious, and also the dips and toppings. Recommend seating outside if it's a nice day, as the inside can get pretty noisy (like most ice cream joints). Only negative is that it is pricey, especially when you add all the treats to your bar. Costs add up quickly.

The ice cream was fantastic, preservative free and delicious. The staff was very positive, friendly and engaging and the space was clean. Will definitely be back!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The staff is so sweet and inviting and the ice cream is to DIE FOR! I 100% recommend to anyonce visiting Berkley or just looking for a delicious sweet treat! The vibe in here is so nice and inviting, they are so supportive of everyone and its wonderful! They have so many options to choose from and so many combinations. I recommend anything woth the cherry dip, it is SOO GOOD. And there hot food is just as delectable. Again I recommend with my whole heart and soul to come here, you won't regret it.

It was crazy in there. It was their first or second day open. I was ok ice cream. Nothing to go crazy for. I did enjoy it. The service was fair considering they were packed. Place was kinda messy but like I said it was crazy in there. So it's understandable. I still rather go to the old school ice cream stands. Much better in my opinion

I got the sorbet bar dipped in milk chocolate with a couple toppings. The sorbet bar was a nice consistency and very flavorful. The toppings were an added bonus. Husband got the pretzel with soft serve ice cream jam and raspberry sauce. He enjoyed it with no complaints. The young lady seemed to be working alone and there was a steady stream of customers so the line was getting backed up and there was no one cleaning the tables. Also the prices are a bit much. We get that it costs money to run a business but come on. It's good, but we'll likely not return. There are so many places to get good tasting ice cream for a fraction of the cost.

Bright, clean, colorful, friendly ... Bombshell Treat Bar is truly a wonderful experience. I went in this afternoon after waiting for the "lines out the door" opening weekend to die down (don't get me wrong - was thrilled to see Bombshell get off to a roaring start!) and while it was gray and cool outside, it was warm and friendly and delicious inside. Such a great idea... pretty much custom-made ice cream bars featuring fun stuff you pick like delicious dip flavors, glitter, pop rocks, stripes ... all kinds of swanky stuff. If you're in a bad mood, go there. You can't help but smile. Staff is terrific, ice cream is delicious (and they have soft serve too!) prices are reasonable - not cheap but you definitely get your value for your money. I had the Cherry Bomb and it was really good and just the look of it made me smile. Enjoy your visit!

ImI'm glad that they have so much to choose from but, if you are Vegan or prefer dairy free this isn't an ideal place for you. They rush you and don't answer your questions. There aren't many options and you'll probably leave empty handed. Frosty Freeze across the street is a far better option.

LOVE bombshell! we've been a few times and the service and atmosphere are always amazing; it's also so fun to create your own bar.
