This place is so cute. The staff was super friendly and the food overall was good. The ground pork bahn mi was just okay. I will definitely get it with less carrots the next time. It was more cilantro and carrots on it than ground pork. The brussels were really good and my hubby really enjoyed the duck fried rice. We will eat here again.

Google
Can’t say enough great things about this spot! Such a gem. Everyone is so friendly, the food is authentic and flavorful, and the service is quick! I am a big foodie and a picky eater, so trust me when I say, this is some of my favorite food in Charleston! Depending on my mood, I’ll order Banh Mi’s, Tacos, Bowls, or any of their specials!

Nick Costa

Google
This location is wonderful. Overall, the food was wonderful, and the service was quite friendly. The bahn mi with ground pork was merely passable. The next time, I will undoubtedly order it with fewer carrots. It contained more carrots and cilantro than ground pork. My husband loved the duck fried rice, and the Brussels were delicious. We'll return for another meal.

Google
This was our first time here. We had the Five Spice Ground Pork in Drunken Noodles and two tacos: Red Curry Beef and Tamarind Shrimp. Both were very tasty. Stop and enjoy. You won’t be disappointed.

Google
I can’t say enough good things about the service staff and the food! I have never felt more taken care of- when I walked in they explained the menu to me throughly and offered samples of some of their house brewed drinks. We ordered the Bun Cold Noodle Salad which is one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, summer rolls and the fried Brussels which might take the lead on my favorites here in the Charleston area. I ordered a sour beer but wasn’t sure if it had pineapple in it (I’m allergic) so not only did they look it up online, they CALLED the brewery to ask. Talk about above and beyond service I have never experienced anywhere else. I WISH there was a location in West Ashley but for now I will happily visit any time I’m over the bridge. Truly 5 stars!

Google
Bartender really really cool guy I like atmosphere in here and also I really like the food. It’s super delicious. Thank you.

Bianca Griffin

Google
The bald headed guy at the front is so kind & great at his job - he sold us on the specials - we got both specials & a couple of beers. Food was delicious but we couldn’t eat it all- we accidentally left our to go boxes on the table(typical us) & Cameron chased us down in the parking lot to make sure we didn’t leave without the to go boxes. The food is great- service was even better. Thank you both for being so attentive on a busy Friday night.

Google
Love this Vietnamese style restaurant! This place is a go to once a week for me. I love everything on the menu but my top two are definitely the Banh Mi sandwich and sticky chicken wings. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant here in Mount Pleasant SC!

Yelp
Best food ever nicest people that ever work there it was really clean and smooth no TVs that's not a problem. Don't need TVs.

Yelp
This was a cool experience. Once you walk inside, the ambience is simple, yet modern and trendy. I ordered a Vietnamese ham sandwich, it was a twist on traditional yet tasty. The bread was warmed up perfectly. The service was exceptional! He was very kind and check often on his customers!

Yelp
Still one of my favorite local places in Charleston! The staff at this location is fantastic and the food is always exactly what I'm looking for, I go back and forth between the banh mi and the bowls each time, you really can't go wrong here! And the voodoo chips are amazing too!

Yelp
This place is great! You order at the counter and they bring it to you. There was a super friendly guy who took our order and was attentive throughout the meal, especially for counter service. Checked in about the food, refilled waters, etc. The food was great, really nicely flavored and well priced. It's not a big place, but had plenty of seating. There are tons of options to customize your order. They also have some nice sauces like hoisin and sriracha to use once your order arrives. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
My first Duck Pho in the area! The rainy weather always makes me crave pho so we dropped by Bon Banh Mi to get some lunch. It wasn't too busy when we got there so we were seated instantly. There's bar seats as well as tables. The whole experience was pleasant, and our favorite was the sweet and spicy chips! It was enough to share for 2-3 people. The pho was delicious, as well as the tofu. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed restaurant in Mt. Pleasant.

Yelp
Service was great-very friendly gentleman greeted us and helped us decide on lunch. Food was good, not great. Very fresh vegetables and flavors were good. I appreciated the multiple condiment options and the different ways you could get your meal.
google avatar

Yelp
The banhi mi sandwich with chicken is delicious! The chicken had great ginger/lemongrass flavor, which gave the sandwich a truly authentic Vietnamese taste. The other toppings were generously loaded on, and the sauce that tops it off adds so much to the flavor. Bread was nice and soft. The sandwich is worth $13 given the unique flavors and generous portion. I will certainly return in order to try other items on the menu.

Billy P.

Yelp
The flavor are good Not bad but not Banh Mi bread. Just generic roll. So actually fraudulent advertising.

Yelp
My new favorite place to eat. I don't know why it took me forever to come try it out but decided to try it today with it as a celebration lunch being it was my daughter's last day of school. Holy cow, this place is my new go to fill my belly with healthy and AMAZING food. My daughter wasn't even hungry but devoured half our entrees. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Each bite of food was a party in the mouth! I highly suggest this place!

Yelp
Ok so this pic is Pho... but I have almost had everything on their menu except ALL specials that they have had.. I'll give you my top three favs: 1- the name, Bahn Mi/ sandwich, I kinda make my own.. and it involves Voodoo chips being added (I'm weird)... anyways, that's my #1 favorite My 2- VERY close second... Sticky wings.. Gosh I wish I could exactly explain how these taste... think, Thai chili/ sweet bbq with a touch of vinegar, I'm not sure exactly... but they are stupid good... I say I'm getting them & only eating half, I eat them all.. the pickles that come with are also very good. And Lastly- #3, And this is probably up for much debate to be a top three, but I REALLY do love their tofu tacos... like freaking YUM, and that's what I do order if I just need a "snack".. and it's ample.. bet Anyways, y'all get in there it's great for summer months too, bcuz it's light & fresh.. most of it. Oh and BONUS, if you're hungover... duck fried rice, ALL THE WAY, add a sunny side up egg on top and a sake cocktail & you're cured! Enjoy Babes. Staff is also a good time, entertaining and helpful.

Yelp
I mean I'm torn here, 3 stars for food, just not my jam and 4 stars for service. I can see why people love this place and keep coming back, it's just not for me. I have had Vietnamese food plenty of times but this was by far the least favorite. I wouldn't judge the place solely on my review go with your instincts and see what works for you.
google avatar

Gamilah M.

Yelp
Love this place. The flavors go so we'll together. The sticky wings, drunken noodles and red curry beef bath mi are my favorites. All the ingredients are always so fresh! Worth the 40 min drive for sure. Prices are reasonable. The servers are always so willing to help if your stuck between one thing or another.
google avatar

Dorothy H.

Yelp
Wanted to try something new. What a great surprise. The service was fantastic. Ryan explained the menu well and provided a great suggestion. I opted for the duck bowl. It was delicious and both hot sauces only enhanced the flavors. Definitely worth the price.
google avatar

Yelp
I was a bit reluctant about how good the food would be just based on how modern and "fast causal" it seemed. Menus are posted on the wall and you order at the counter. It was a very clean and vibrant vibe there with friendly staff. We had to get the sticky wings bc everyone raved about it. I got duck fried rice with the fried egg of course! And hubby got the red curry beef bowl. Wow the sticky chicken wings did not disappoint! They were absolutely delish and a must have here. Crispy, juicy, tender and super flavorful. My duck fried rice was a hefty portion and also full of flavor! My server suggested to add the yellow chili sauce (from Thailand) on it and it was a nice addition. Hubby enjoyed his beef bowl. The veggies were fresh and the meat was well done. The one complaint we had was the "fish sauce" that went with it was a little watery and lacked that potent fish flavor but had good hints of ginger. And lastly, Austin was amazing. He's extremely friendly, helpful and overall awesome! We spent 60$ after tip for 3 items- which seems a bit high but at least the food was good. My only complaint is that if you're looking for an "authentic Vietnamese" restaurant this isn't exactly it. It's more of an Asian fusion that uses a variety of unique Asian ingredients. But what we had was still good. We will be back to try more!

Yelp
The food here tasted fresh and was full of flavor. We had the red curry beef bowl and the shrimp bowl. All the parts of the dish are positioned separately in a large bowl, and the tangy sauce comes in ramekin. I like that you mix it all after it arrives. The helpful and very friendly staff suggested some additional spicy sauces to complement the dish, and if you like extra spicy go for the yellow sriracha sauce. Everything was excellent and we plan to visit again next time we come to Mt. Pleasant.

Yelp
In depth menu - banh mi to tacos... they have it all... Vietnamese coffee is delicious Great happy hour & staff is awesome

Yelp
A new location for a well-established Vietnamese place. The industrial, open aesthetic remains from the other locations. This one is farther from the city, but closer to some of the wild areas one might find oneself returning from looking for a meal. My biggest disappointment was that the menu didn't have anything new, but the existing menu is pretty good. What they call drunken noodles is a unique dish delivered with cooked noodles and a deconstructed salad type of presentation. It is spicy and delicious, and the curry tofu you can get with any of their dishes adds plenty. Regardless of the location, I find this the best midscale Asian cuisine in the Charleston area.

Yelp
This place is truly excellent. Firstly, the staff is super friendly and helpful. We were so kindly greeted at the door and when we had a question about a drink on the menu and we were given a sample. The service was also very speedy. We started with spring rolls. What I loved about these spring rolls were that they were not dry at all. Sometimes the outer rice wrapper will get dry or the noodles in side start to dehydrate. Nope not here. Perfect and served with a delicious peanut sauce. Our entrees were delicious and enormous. The rice bowl with shrimp was delightful. Ripe avocado, flavorful and seasoned cherry tomatoes, crispy fried onions and the sauce on the shrimp was divine. The dressing that came with the dish was also fantastic. The pork Banh Mi was also delicious full of flavor on a fluffy chewy bun (roll?), and very filling. We sat outside under umbrellas at picnic bench tables. The area was very clean and well kept. Really this is one of my favorite places to eat around here.

Yelp
I missed lunch and didn't walk in until 3:30, so I was starving. I kept it simple and went for the banh mi with the signature five spice ground pork. I finished the whole sandwich before I thought to take a picture. It was incredible. Troy was behind the bar and took great care of me. I will definitely return.
google avatar

Anita J.

Yelp
Amazing food - tons of vegetarian and vegan options as well. You have the option of indoor or outdoor seating which is nice. Service friendly and there are great happy hour specials if you can make it on time!
google avatar

Yelp
My husband picked up Bon Banh Mi on the way home from the beach, and I was so impressed with my meal. I got the Red Curry tofu vermicelli bowl (off menu) and loved it! The ingredients tasted both rich and refreshing, light and flavorful. I loved the sauces it came with and the ginger salad dressing. Highly recommend for takeout!

Yelp
Excellent meal! I ordered the shrimp summer rolls, the country pâté and vietnamese ham báhn mì and a vibrant glass of mango lychee white wine sangria. Wow. Just delicious. The summer rolls were perfect. Not the least bit dried out, which can happen with rice paper. The flavors were sublime. The peanut hoisin sauce was honestly absolute perfection. I would pour that stuff on just about anything! The báhn mì was equally exquisite. The crusty baguette was crunchy on the outside and warm and chewy inside. The meat was superb. The pâté is not skimped on at all. The mix of meats and veggies (including just enough jalapeños) was nothing short of fantastic. The vibe is also just really chill and down to earth, which I appreciate. Good music but not blaringly loud. Great service. Honestly zero complaints except that my eyes are bigger than my stomach! Try it - you will not regret it.

Yelp
Wow, the service we received here was excellent! It truly set the tone for my first visit. The entire menu was enthusiastically explained to me from top to bottom. Our food was fresh, delicious, and brought to our table nicely by the staff (seriously, some of the nicest folks ever). For such a casual spot, I am impressed and see why my mom loves coming here!

Yelp
I'm a stranger in a strange land, and sorted restaurants by Yelp ratings. Bingo! We had a wonderful dinner with attentive but not overbearing service. It was exactly what we were hoping for - great, fresh, tasty food in a casual setting with great service. We'll be back - maybe we'll see you here?!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
I love this place! Amazing fresh food and great flavors! Service is outstanding as well!

Vivian F.

Yelp
Great food and service. I couldn't decide between 2 dinner options and the guy behind the counter was very helpful in explaining the dishes. We loved the dishes and the chicken wings. The portions were large. We will return

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Food is excellent, especially Tamarind Shrimp Bowl and Lemongrass Chicken Bowl. Service is great!!! Such friendly employees! Love the atmosphere!!!

Susan P.

Yelp
Fabulous food! Fresh and tasty! Warm and welcoming staff. Very clean with many options for food and drink. I am a fussy Foodie having lived in Asheville. Usually I can only see one or 2 things on a menu that I want to try. My husband and I both had tacos but I can't wait to go back and try more on the menu.
google avatar

Amanda V.

Yelp
Didn't realize how much I missed a good Vietnamese sandwich until I got here. The food was amazing. But that was the least of it. Vietnamese coffee is perfection and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Over all, I'd love to give them more than 5 stars but I'm limited. Definitely check this place out.
google avatar

Yelp
We dropped in on a whim and had a great experience with both the staff and the food! Love the chicken bowl so much I've taken two other friends in just for that menu item and they raved! One friend took her husband back twice in one week! Very fresh and overall healthy!!

Emily B.

Yelp
this place is so good. I highly recommend the spring rolls, and their pork sandwich is so flavorful! Yum

Candace B.

Yelp
Literally everything on the menu is amazing. Favorites are the Duck Pho and Duck Fried Rice. Service is beyond friendly and helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
I do not think I can say enough positive things about this restaurant. I walk to location on Spring routinely. Love the available seating at the Mt Pleasant one. I wish I had a pic to share. The staff is friendly and helpful

Random Asian G.

Yelp
The food was really good. The service was awesome. The employees were very welcoming and friendly. I love the decorations and it's such a cool and cute restaurant. For sure will be coming back when near by!
google avatar

Yelp
The food comes out quick but great. I recommend to get the sauce on the side and the bowls over the tacos. They are super nice there and serve beer and ice coffee
google avatar

Yelp
I was on a work trip and have this place a try. Customer service is fantastic. Very clean, quick and absolutely delicious. Had the lemon chicken salad and the shrimp bowl. They have hot sauce as well which is also delicious. Five star!

Max S.

Yelp
Great food! I enjoyed the duck fried rice and price wasn't too shabby. I will be back in the near future!

Kellie C.

Yelp
Nice staff, very clean, good food and they serve beer and wine! Had the chicken and pork bahn mis, want to try noodle dish also Will return, thx

Yelp
We were big fans of the location off Coleman and were thrilled when BBM opened in Oakland Market. Everything we've ever had here has been great, and the service and friendliness are top notch. Salads, bowls, tacos, Banh Mi are all great, and the duck fried rice (get the egg on top!) alone is worth a visit. P. S., the wings and chips are really good. Excellent beer selection too.

Aiesha H.

Yelp
I had the tamarind shrimp bahn mi and the lemongrass chicken salad. SO fresh and flavorful! The manager, Ryan, is great and made the dining experience really enjoyable. Definitely coming back!
google avatar

Reagan G.

Yelp
Iv had my fair share of banh mi's and this place gets it right! 10/10! The bread was perfect! It wasn't too dry where it cuts the insides of your mouth and The sauce they use is perfection. Also the service is superior. Great little spot for lunch! I highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I have been anxiously awaiting for them to open since we live across the street! We finally had a chance to go last night for dinner. The staff are so nice. As soon as we entered a staff member came and held the door open and greeted us by showing where to go to order! The host behind the counter taking orders went over the menu with us and gave me lots of good recommendations and pointed out that it was happy hour which then I had to get a sangria, which was delicious! For food my husband got their drunken noodles with pork which was unique from other versions of the dish we had but over all it was good! I got a shrimp banh mi and we both enjoyed that and stated that we would order it again. Out of the meats we liked the shrimp the best. To go with the food they had lots of sauce and hot sauce options! Which I loved, being the spicy lover it am. Excited to have them so close!
google avatar

A P.

Yelp
They definitely don't have it together yet. I was quoted 25 min for takeout and waited an hour. There isn't anywhere to wait inside w/o being in the way. Food was on par with other locations though, so that's good
google avatar

Cory C.

Yelp
Been here twice so far and it is surely a welcome edition to North Mount Pleasant. Have tried 2 different versions of the Bahn Mi, the drunken noodles and duck fried rice. Everything has been been great. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I will be sure to visit again soon.

Jim R.

Yelp
Okay I love this place! So glad they opened closer to my home in North Mt.P. Frequented the other Mt. Pleasant location on Coleman. Same great fresh food. They're flexible. Wanted the duck fried rice, but not a big duck fan. No problem, they did plain fried rice, delicious! I've had pretty much all their menu items, and they are all tasty, freshly prepared, good portions and won't break the bank. Try it...you'll like it!

Cassie H.

Yelp
I would describe the shrimp tamarind banh mi sandwich with added avocado as the best bite in Mount Pleasant. I often say that other food just doesn't hit right for several days after enjoying that sandwich. This location in Oakland Market is a favorite. The service is always friendly, the location is clean, the ambiance is bright, and the food is fresh and delicious. While the sandwich is my favorite, I also highly recommend the Drunken Noodles and the amazing sticky wings. Every bite here is wonderful -- I can't rave about it enough. Five ++ yummy stars!
google avatar

Robin Q.

Yelp
The food is great and the staff are even better. How great to know there's a place with great, consistent food and joyful, authentic staff preparing and serving it. The times I've been before I've noticed the staff, but today Carmen was just so joyful I had to tell the GM Ryan. It's clear that Ryan's leadership of excellence in hospitality sets the tone, and Carmen took it and ran with it. I'll definitely be returning regularly to soak in the flavors of the food and the spirit of the service.
google avatar

Michele S.

Yelp
Love the bowls and sandwiches. Fresh and authentic! Healthy food and fast.

George G.

Yelp
Sometimes it's the simple things in life that bring the most pleasure. I find Bon Banh Mi to be one of those things. Now don't get me wrong, I love the challenge of deciphering an encyclopedia of a menu as you might find at the Cheesecake Factory or good NYC diner. But at Bon Banh Mi, they make it easy on you. The menu, while simple, offers a little bit for everyone and I haven't found a thing on it I wouldn't walk 500 miles for. The Rice bowls are divine, the Bahn Mi's are delicious, the Salads are scrumptious and the Tacos are delightful. If you haven't tried the Shrimp Summer Rolls, you should. If you've slept on the Chili Lime Sprouts, you should be spanked. If you've turned a blind eye to the Sweet and Sticky Wings, put yourself in time out immediately. No ranch or blue cheese required. Don't like Brussel Sprouts or Cauliflower? You haven't tried theirs. Now don't get me started on the Drunken Noodles, which are in fact better than the Duck Fried Rice, even though Ryan says otherwise. And whatever you do, don't forget the Cold Noodle Salad because it is refreshing and revitalizing. You'll think you just spent the afternoon at the Spa. And while the flavors are plentiful, the consistency is what really brings me back time and time again. It's hard to find consistent things in todays world, but you'll find them here. And I can't forget to mention they do have a kids menu and yes your kids will love it. Mine love the noodle bowls and request them often. Enough about the food though. The space is filled with good vibes and smiles all around. The service is always spot on and the entire staff is pleasant and helpful. They also have a plethora of beer/wine to choose from and the happy hour prices are pretty swell. If you're looking for a place where everyone knows you're name, then look no further. Woody's not behind the bar and Norm is MIA, but not to worry. This ain't the Olive Garden, but when you're here, you're family. Word on the street is they'll be open on Sundays from 11-5 starting soon which makes this guy real happy. I'm always real hangry after church. Full disclosure, I am in no way affiliated with this restaurant in any form or fashion. Just one happy customer that figured it was time to give my 2 cents. Carry on.
