My absolute favorite shop in the world. It’s a bit pricey but sooo worth it. Their caramel ones are out of this world. Great for gifts and such cute packaging. Also try their bons of the season and month, those are always so good. Swimming Turtle, hazel what, lemon bar none, leo, Boston cooler, and lil hottie are my favs!

If you like small chocolate confections then this can be your new go to place for those chocolate cravings. Plenty of parking, although you must pay up to the designated times unless you know someone I don’t. Located in Nickels Arcade, there is a small shop called Bon Bon Bon and they have a wonderful selection of small chocolates amongst different flavors and aesthetics. They arrange them visibly so you can see each individual chocolate with their name and with a description containing its contents. They have their usual popular flavors and they do switch out and or add more options every so often and holidays to switch up the taste. The workers here are kind and can assist with any questions about the store. After choosing your chocolates they are all grouped and personally packaged, cutesy packaging I might add. After deciding which chocolates you’d like to devour, they do have merchandise they sell as well that range from hats, sweatshirts, accessories and more. I saw this shop randomly on my lunch break and I am glad that I did because after carefully choosing which 6 chocolates I wanted I came back a day or two later to buy more and to get extras to take home. Mind you, I live in a different state so I was a bit worried, but they traveled really well with me. If you like chocolate, do it. Do it.

We love this chocolate shop so much that we ordered 100+ custom boxes as favors for our wedding. It was easy to customize the design, and the turnaround of two weeks was super quick!

I was around town for work and one of the coworker recommended this place. All of us immediately fell in love with the store, and of course the chocolate it has to offer. First of all, the appearance is amazing! Each one is like a piece of art. Absolutely pretty! Also the top of the chocolate represents the flavor and the story behind it. Can tell they put a lot of thinking toward it. When you take a bite, the cross-section is equally pretty. Secondly, the packaging is very innovative - using cardboard material that easily adaptive to different sizes. So creative and it works perfectly. Last but not least, the taste. I tried a lot of these creative artisan chocolate places, most of them taste ok but not amazing. This place’s chocolate, however, gave me tons of surprises. The taste just works. Not too sweet, with a kicker or two. Again, amazing! Highly recommended. Worth coming here just for this store. Ps, they have online shop~

Google
Great atmosphere and amazing looks but the chocolate has a better taste than the first time tried it. Also the employees and the owner are really nice. I tried Hazel-what and it was actually very good.

Google
I didn't want to like them-- they're not cheap -- but, my husband bought me my first box for Mother's Day and they're so so good. Each one better than the last. Just delectable. Just tell yourself that for the price, you get all the satisfaction of a great dessert without all the calories 😘

Google
Slightly pricey but incredibly tasty. We enjoyed every flavor we tried, particularly the Cereal Killer and S'mores. The service was excellent, and the mini-store was a delightful addition.

Google
Bon bon bon is located at the end of the valley, a little bit hidden but cute inside! The pinky atmosphere is really cute and great to take photos. The chocolate types and styles are various, and it’s great to be a little gift for friends or collection!

Yelp
Insanely cute chocolate shop down in Nickels Arcade [which is a tiny alley with an assortment of shops like a vintage store and clothing store]. They have an array of flavors of bon bons (chocolates with a filling inside) lined up behind the glass case including fudge brownie, peanut butter and jam, and much more unique combinations that I paid no attention to because i was enamored with the rest of the shop. They had all sorts of knick knacks, stickers (some were for free!), mini greeting cards, shirts, tote bags, cool shaped chocolates on the shelves. Each bon bon is $3.50 and it gets individually packaged in a tiny box. If you're feeling extra, you can buy a cute cardboard carrier case for your chocolate treasures ($2). Otherwise you can still get it packaged in a cute box for free (pictured). As for the actual bon bons: - The fudge brownie one had a deep chocolate flavor with only about 35% sweetness which was quite dismaying. - The PB&J one was sweeter which I liked and the jam added a bit of tartness. Comparatively, this bon bon had more complexity than the dark bitterness of the fudge brownie.

Yelp
Bon Bon Bon is a Detroit born chocolatier specializing in delicious, unique Bon bons- perfect for any occasion. Every location is adorable. The employees are always peppy & happy- always suggestive and informative! The chocolates are absolutely delicious- and come wrapped up in great cardboard packaging. Perfect for gifting! Please swing through one of the Bon Bon Bon locations around Metro Detroit! You will be hooked on these yummy treats!

Yelp
What a little hidden gem in nickels arcade! We got the s'mores, and it was adorable! They are delicious and the designs on them are also so impressive. The staff was excellent as well. The branding and colors of the store are also ADORABLE. Love!

Yelp
Obsessed with bon bons from Bon Bon Bon. First of all, they're beautiful bons bons with fun flavors and names. My favorite so far has been the High Tea. Secondly, they're Michigan made in Hamtramck. Third, amazing customer service in person and "bonline", as they call it. Fourth, I love all their bon puns! Fifth, affordably priced for a sweet treat and great to gift. Definitely check out Bon Bon Bon!

Yelp
Admittedly, we were merely window shopping with a friend. Being inside Nickels Arcade, there are many available parking spots. Be ready to pay. A wonderland of tiny chocolate gems and unique candies for that special occasion or maybe a weekly treat. Cost is of course a factor, but, deservedly so. The selection is just vast enough and the woman we dealt with was as sweet as their product. 08/24

Yelp
This shop is an instant serotonin boost! So adorable and beautiful. Bon Bon Bon in general has excellent branding and design, with great stories, bright colors, beautiful packaging. They communicate clearly that they are a fun, creative, truly craft chocolate, handmade in Detroit. I stopped in to pick up their limited Valentine's Day collaboration with chef Jon Kung. Gorgeous! I was really excited about all the Asian flavors in this collection, like ube, yuzu, pandam, milk tea, matcha. It almost doesn't matter that I'm generally not a big chocolate person at all. Each of these pieces are just so pretty and fun. My husband and I have tried about 6 pieces total now and they are DELICIOUS with the unique flavors really shining through. Yes, they're expensive. But for a treat, special occasion, or an impressive gift, it's hard to ever be disappointed by Bon Bon Bon for a little indulgence. Staff here is always really friendly as well!

Yelp
What a gem! Stumbled upon this store with a group of friends a few years ago, and have loved it ever since! Just in regards to aesthetics, it is SO pretty and it's just fun without being overwhelming. Love all the colors radiating throughout the store, it gives such a warm welcome. I personally love any of their milk chocolates or hazelnut flavors, but there's truly something for everyone. Sometimes it's nice to play it safe, but it's also exciting to try the different flavors. The staff does a PHENOMENAL job at speaking about the product, and recommending what they think you'll like the best. Also in terms of dietary restrictions and allergies, the team does a great job at curating the selection so that it meets those needs. We've even gotten "variety packs" for a girls night in, as a fun activity to try new flavors, otherwise they make great gifts too!

Yelp
Some people have said that I hate fun. They may be right. If I were more into fun, Bon Bon Bon would be a five star chocolate shop. Because these good bon bons are just delightful. For me, they are maybe a bit too delightful. I confess that I prefer my chocolate a bit more serious. Even still, I get a chuckle out of some of the clever names, and the flavor combinations are inarguably quite creative. It can all be a bit over the top though. But there are so many bon bons to chose from, I can always walk out with something that I enjoy. And sometimes my favorite piece can be the dark horse of the bunch. What I love the most is that you can walk in here and buy anywhere from one to one hundred little boxes of joy. And they are most definitely joyful. The whole place is irrepressibly jubilant. If you are having a hard day, what a treat it is to have this shop to pop into and help turn your day around. And you can even bring your boxes with you to the serious coffee place in the arcade and have something a bit more buttoned down to pair with your fantastical sweets.

Yelp
Was in the area and of course you already know I'm here! Not a far walk from the parking garage even tho it's cold it worth it for these chocolates! Excited for the meta morphie and rose & thorn those are new for us!

Yelp
I definitely get a hit of dopamine any time I try one of their chocolates. They are so unique and make eating chocolate a whole experience. They have a great selection of flavors to choose from, which is so fun. They are expensive but worth it. Also the packaging is so cute. These make the best gift.

Yelp
I came into Bon Bon Bon this weekend, the store is very pretty and pink! The staff is knowledgeable about the chocolates and they taste really good.

Yelp
This place is soooo cute! Absolutely love the ambiance. And of course beyond that, the chocolate bon bons are delicious. My favorite was the creme brulee. I also loved the better butter crunch, although of course that depends if you like both a sweet and a savory chocolate. I think they averaged around $4 each. Also - they labeled which chocolates had which potential allergies, including wheat! So I knew the bon bons I was getting were safe as a gluten free gal. Bonus!! :)

Yelp
I finally got to stop by the Bon Bon Bon Ann Arbor location yesterday - the last time I tried, a few months ago, someone was setting up an engagement proposal right in Nickels Alley and we weren't allowed down there. It's much smaller than the Midtown location but has tons of great bons still. I got a 4-pack box to take home and it was about $13.33; I think the bons are either $3.25 or $3.33 now, slight increase from $3 per bon. We had a bit of a long wait and the BBB employee threw in a free bon for each of us, since they were expiring! Sticky Bon was the name. My friend is gluten-free and that bon does have gluten, so she'll share it with her mom instead, but she really liked how each bon specifically has the allergens written on it, in the store, so she knew which she could buy. Cute shop and I'm a big BBB fan so I'll be back at some point.

Yelp
Super cute store in Nickels Arcade. I usually get the Swimming Turtle and Earl Gray Tea. Delicious!

Yelp
I've heard of Bon Bon Bon and knew they were making some tasty treats in Detroit, but didn't put it together that they have a location at Nickels Arcade in Ann Arbor! Nate and I happened upon it while in town over the summer and I immediately fell in love with the decor and vibe - like a fun, fancy, pink version of Willy Wonka's factory. The person working was very polite and patient while I took a bunch of photos and got overwhelmed by the incredible artistry of the bon bon bons! There were so many to choose from that we just asked what her favorites were. We ended up getting the Bubs and the Lil Hottie. They I asked about shipping since we live out of town and I'd love to try more in the future. They do ship nationally, but the employee recommended waiting a bit to order since we were going through a really hot spell! They pack everything as best as they can but of course no one wants a melted chocolate delivery. The bon bon bons are about $3.50 each and are perfectly packaged in a cute little cardboard drawer box. The website says that each are two polite bites or, one less-than-polite bite. Since we only got two and wanted to share, we tried making them into two polite bites. The flavors were imaginative and unique! Lil Hottie: cayenne infused honey, arbol & Vietnamese cinnamon dark chocolate ganache, smoked paprika, milk chocolate shell and Bubs: dark chocolate champagne caramel, fizzy sugar, dark chocolate shell. I liked both but the Lil Hottie was my favorite. Not super spicy but with delicious warming flavors. Now that the weather has cooled down I'm looking forward to hopefully ordering from them online! I love finding unique flavored chocolates so Bon Bon Bon is my new favorite. A must-see for any chocolate lover!

Yelp
If you value your waist line and your bank account.. steer clear. If your so so with the aforementioned, then full steam ahead! So good! Great gift for friends and family, and great for a treat for yourself. A must stop in the nickel arcade area!

Yelp
A Bon Bon Bon location down the road from us? TROUBLE. ALL CAPS TROUBLE. But the best kind of trouble. Because these delectable treats are such a wonderful splurge. Delicious and inventive flavor combinations and super cute packaging, all wrapped up in the most adorable storefront in Nickel's Arcade. My favorite flavors include (but are not limited to) the Bour-bon-bon, S'mores, Cherry Lux, and Salty Sap. But you truly can't go wrong with any flavor. Keep an eye out for special holiday collections and such, too!
google avatar

Trenton S.

Yelp
We stopped in while walking by to try some bon bons! We got all of the milk chocolate ones to try, as we don't care for dark chocolate as much. They were all so good! I will always be stopping if I'm around one of their stores! Yumm
google avatar

Yelp
After the awesome Yelp Virtual Tour Bon Bon Bon event, I decided I'd stop by the new Ann Arbor storefront. I was particularly interested in Cider & Donuts flavor (apple cider confiture, cinnamon donut ganache, donut slice) as it was mentioned that it was once a rotating flavor but they brought it back because it was so popular. It definitely was 2-bite deliciousness. I also copped a High Tea one (earl grey tea devonshire cream dark chocolate ganache, hemp seed nougatine, smoked sugar, cornflower petals) because it's phenomenal. Not too tea forward that it tastes like soap or anything. I also walked out with a box of their Winter Collection! The babe babe babe (what they call their employees!) who helped me was super helpful -- even though it was only her 2nd week on the job! I wouldn't have known if she didn't mention it. Love that I can get my chocolate fix so close now :)

Yelp
Place: This place is such a cute little store. I never really noticed it until I went for a walk. They told me they opened recently and I was impressed of the decoration and the cute aesthetics the store has. Service: I am very indecisive and but the service was amazing. They were patient and kinda explained all the flavors to me. Food/price: The price is bit pricey but I think it is worth. It is such a cute detailed chocolate and I would recommend it during holidays or special occasions. Audience: The audience is for everyone! Great for families & friends! Recommend/tips? I would recommend this place. At least try it once and see for yourself. I plan to go again. MOTHERS DAY (May 9, 2021) IS COMING UP SO it is a nice reminder to show your love through chocolate haha.

Yelp
I LOVE BON BON BON! It was somewhere I went on the first day of my new job in Detroit to celebrate, and I'm so happy it has finally come to my college town & that the CUTEST STOREFRONT is in the CUTEST part of Ann Arbor - Nickels Arcade! Bon Bon Bon is the perfect place to go for delicious & lovingly made treats. They have something for EVERYONE - vegans, non-vegans, and DOGS! Yes, they even have a (chocolate-free) bon for dogs & did I mention they are EXTREMELY dog-friendly?! When we walked in and asked if they allowed dogs, they said not only do they allow dogs, they ENCOURAGE dogs. The customer service here is truly wonderful, you feel so welcomed and taken care of, they are like the LUSH of the chocolatier world when it comes to customer service and product love. The store is so vibrant and adorable, and fully pandemic-safe! You examine all the bons within a case and the employees stand behind plexiglass waiting to take your order and answering all your questions. Bons are truly the best stocking stuffer, or just a bite-sized treat for you to enjoy! They have so much variety and all the bons look *almost* too good to eat! Plus the packaging is SO CUTE & UNIQUE that even I, someone who loves wrapping gifts, wouldn't want to wrap over the packaging at Bon Bon Bon. Each bon is $3, which might seem steep because each bon is very petite. But these treats are so lovingly handmade, intricate, and decadent that yes, the $3 completely makes sense and I feel like it makes me appreciate them more. Because I associate Bon Bon Bon with special occasions - it doesn't have to be anything too grand, but whether it's a treat for myself for a job well done or a pick me up on a day when life's got me down, or as a deliciously thoughtful present for a loved one, Bon Bon Bon's there for you! Do yourself a favor and go visit soon to support this wonderful local business that just opened up in Ann Arbor!

Kathryn W.

Yelp
Not worth it. They don't taste all that good, and definitely not with the price. Unfortunately, we won't come back again.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
I am always pleased with the chocolates whenever I treat myself at bon bon bon. I recently gave gift boxes for my mom for Mother's Day and also for a friend's birthday and they could not stop raving about how much they loved the bon bons.
google avatar

Hannah R.

Yelp
Every since I moved away from Michigan, I've wanted to try Bon Bon Bon. I ordered a mystery box of 10 for Valentine's Day to share with my husband and I am beyond impressed. Each bonbon was so beautiful and intricate and incredibly tasty. Salty sap and Cinna Bon were our favorites, but truly it was the best confection we've ever had. I will definitely order this again, and again, and again.

Theo N.

Yelp
You know how sometimes you eat something familiar, like maybe a slice of pizza, and think, 'wow, this is what good pizza is like,' and you realise that without realising it you've been missing out for a while? Bon Bon Bon is like that for chocolate. Your only regret will be that other chocolate will always taste just a little bit worse. As a wise man once said: 'You've tried the rest; now try the best!'
google avatar

Kathy J.

Yelp
Such a cute place with fabulously yummy chocolate. Unusual flavor combinations too. All served in their own individual baby boxes.
google avatar

Mariko I.

Yelp
A really cute chocolate shop located in Nickels Arcade with lots of cool flavors to choose from! Pros: Great variety Friendly employee Great quality Cons: $3 for a one-bite piece of chocolate seems excessive to me. I think it would make for a nice gift but even then I feel like there's other sweets that would be more appropriate. The creme brulee bon bon was good but I couldn't taste the vanilla cream as much. The bourbon one was tasty tho!
google avatar

Kaleigh W.

Yelp
Bon Bon Bon, you are a wonderful slice of heaven in Ann Arbor. Such a wide selection of deliciousness and I can't believe I'm just now discovering you guys! Tried the s'mores & the bonbourbon one and Also, whoever was serving the night of February 20 (Saturday) please give her a raise or something. She was so informative on everything and SO pleasant and easy to talk with / ask questions about the product. I was surprised to hear she did not own the store with the level of enthusiasm she had for her job! All around a welcoming place for a sweet treat :)
google avatar

Dia D.

Yelp
Great new place!! I have been a fan of Bon Bon Bon for years and now I can get them without driving to Detroit. This shop is really cute and the staff here are so friendly and helpful. It's also dog friendly and they gave my puppy a chocolate-free Bone-eat-o.
google avatar

Yelp
I had pre-ordered a full assortment as a birthday gift for my sister paying over the phone while also ordering a small assortment for myself to share. I hadn't been to the Nickels Arcade location before but it was easy enough to find. I was in and out with bon bons in hand in less than 2 minutes. I love the packaging and the customer service is world class. The product is like no other, creatively wonderful, locally inspired and made from the finest ingredients. If you're looking for something special and out of the ordinary look no further. Pro-tip, call in your order to save 50 cents over online ordering...then you'll have a few ducats left over to get yourself a small personal assortment.

Shelley S.

Yelp
Cute little shop in cute Nickels arcade, lots of flavors to choose from, if they ever have the hazelnut option when you go, get it! It is so so good! The bons may be small but they pack a lot of flavor in each bite
google avatar

Tanya G.

Yelp
Woman at the front was so friendly and had some recommendations for us to try while we visited. There are a ton of different unique flavors to choose from, I really liked the Pisces and the Lemon bar bon bons. Portions are very small and rich and somewhat pricy so I recommend treating yourself with 2 or 3. Bon bons are individually packaged so you can order whatever number you want and then its all tallied at the end. I also really liked how the inside was styled, lots of color and graphics that are reminiscent of an old school ice cream shop. Definitely recommend popping by to visit if you're strolling around in downtown Ann Arbor on the weekend.

Yelp
this place is SO CUTE. i loved them in detroit, and i'm so excited they have an ann arbor location now!! Bon Bon Bon is in nickels arcade, so parking is mostly street parking or structure. i walked through on a weekend with my pup and we were so excited that bon bon bon is dog friendly!! They even have a little water bowl and treat bowl set out and pup bons (for purchase 3$). as for the human treats, I tried the high tea, the scorpio (they have a different one for every sign!), and the bubbly one (forgot the name), and all of these were amazing and intricate. they are priced at 3$ each, and the bons were packaged in recycled boxes, which gave it a cute aesthetic. they even cut the box to fit the number of bons you get! also, the staff was amazing! everyone was so warm and inviting :) i can't wait to come back and get more some more!

Chee X.

Yelp
Stopped in at the Detroit location with my niece after having dinner next door. Never been to this place before so thought why not! The atmosphere is nice and so we're the people. The little chocolates are $3 a piece so it's a bit high. However, you pay for the awesomeness of each tasty morsel! I bought the summer collection and ate two pieces: blue moon and flancy use. They were both yummy! The use one had a nice burnt brown sugar taste but it was liquidity on the inside and that was a nice suprise. Packaging is super cute too! Can't wait to enjoy the other 10... slowly! I'll be back to try the rest!

Yelp
Freaking adorable. Bon Bon Bon makes some rad sweet treats and has a great sense of who they are. They're heckin creative with their creations, and their customer service in the shop is on point. That being said, the actual Bons were given a "just ok" from our party of 4 - each of us got 2 different ones in the collection to try, so 8 of their classics. It's not that they weren't good, they were just not as WOW as I personally was expecting. I think their social media game got me overhyped for the experience. Still solid, B+, and fun as all get out. I would return to support this cool small biz, especially to this location, since Nickels Arcade is beyond the cutest little spot.

Yelp
Such a fun and cute shop to visit in AA. Menu option are creative and the packaging is out of this world. The chocolates were almost to pretty to eat themselves! Look forward to going back and gifting these in the futur

Yelp
I am so happy Bon Bon Bon opened shop in Ann Arbor. Their chocolates are pieces of art that are as delicious as they are beautiful. Such a wonderful treat during such a challenging year. Thanks for creating loveliness

Yelp
Love Bon Bon Bon chocolates! Their ever changing favors are amazing and so creative. The sense of humor in the naming is great fun. Their location in Nichols Arcade is so accessible, the staff so friendly and helpful that I look forward to stopping by for a little treat for myself! The only problem is narrowing down the choice to just a couple. Thanks for an extraordinary visit and purchase.

Yelp
The CUTEST place with very yummy treats. This is most unique dessert place/chocolatier I've been to. As I'm writing this review, we haven't tried all the ones I purchased yet but we have tried: cake, bumpy, and s'mores. Cake and s'mores were 10/10. Bumpy was about a 7.5. We have some others to try too but I wanted to review before I forgot.

Yelp
thank goodness for relatives in michigan! they're the folks who got me hooked! thank you jan & mike! i don't know how i've gone through life without them! (the candy, well, the in laws too!) the candies, come individually boxed, with their names & ingredients on them. & what names they have! even more, what ingredients they use! the top of each is beautifully decorated to match. bite it in half & look at the layers. sometimes that can be messy when something juicy is inside! let me give you a few examples- s'mores-toasted graham, torched marshmallow ganache with mini mallows on top. pb&j-strawberry confiture, honey roasted peanut gianduja, jumbo peanut on top. cherry lux-italian maraschino candied michigan cherries, dark chocolate ganache, plump dried cherry on top with crunchy sugar. fudge frownie-dark chocolate sorghum, walnut gianduja, cutie fondant frownie face on top, alkalized cocoa powder. lemon bar none-shortbread crust, lemon custard ganache, royal icing lemon. doesn't that have your mouth watering? you have to be quick as they change the flavors often. they also ship! gee, how did i know that? honestly, they really are that good! once you try 1, you'll be hooked, just like me!

Yelp
Perfect customer service experiences are rare and deserve to be celebrated. Yesterday my friend and I had a perfect experience at the Bon Bon Bon in Nickel's Arcade. After a long day of walking the windy streets of Ann Arbor we stopped in for chocolates to take home and to see the new digs. We were greeted by Emily, and she was warm, friendly, and insightful, we had a great conversation with her and she helped us select our chocolates. The store was clean, cute, well-appointed and above all filled with delicious treats. Now, how to convince my husband to get me more chocolate for Christmas, so he thinks it is his idea?

Yelp
I just love this place! Went to the Ann Arbor location today and the manager was so nice. It's such a cute store as well. The variety in flavors is amazing and every one is executed perfectly. I tried 8 flavors and I can't wait to get back in and try more!
