"Owner and developer Chris Foley recently signed a lease to take over an additional 14,000 square feet at the address. Specifically, he’s got the keys to two very ambitious now-closed restaurants: Dirty Water and Bon Marche." - Carolyn Alburger

I went to this place on new year's eve for a Prix fixe dinner. All food was good and the ambiance outstanding. Only for that day, a jazz band played in the background. My favorite dish was the generously portioned duck confit. The decor feels a bit forced into the french street concept, though.

I had heard such great things! But, to echo another review, it was OK. Nothing wrong with OK but with all the other French options in SF, this is not a place I would suggest to a friend and will have to wait some time before I try again. The onion soup was unanimously a disappointment - the flavor was too concentrated and the consistency was that of a bread pudding and not a soup (i.e. no broth all soggy bread) the cheese was a little too sparing for us as well. My frisée had about 3 bits of lardon which is, a disappointment to say the least. The steak was OK - dry was the main complaint - but not worth the price compared to quality steakhouses and the burger was also average. I will also say that had someone asked me how I was enjoying my meal, I would have definitely shared my feedback but alas, they did not. Too bad because the atmosphere has potential - great ambiance and vibrant crowd -, just not the food or the general service (had to ask for a drink, for water, for bread, to order, for the check) . *le sigh* Seems like the bulk of the traffic here is Twitter and surrounding tech anyway so I'm sure they will be just fine.

Super cute and cozy space. Busy, but never loud. The kind of place you can carry out a conversation in a low voice without trouble. Bartenders were very friendly and my cocktails were delicious - Le Samourai, which was quite a bit more citrusy than expected, plus a very solid Old Fashioned. We sampled the mushroom beignets. These were absolutely not beignets, they were really fritters, but they were rich and delicious. Three cocktails and half the beignets came to about $50 with tax and tip.

I've only been for Monday happy hour, so I'm not sure what it's like otherwise. But if you want a great HH deal, this is it. $1 oysters and free corkage on Mondays.

Best part about this restaurant/bar were the drinks! If you work near here (ie. Twitter, Square, etc), perfect place to grab drinks afterwork with your Tinder date! ;) Food was just okay and pretty pricy. The mussels and bone marrow were tasty appetizers but nothing that special.

The food is delicious. I got scallops for $35. There were 3 scallops. A couple of tiny potatoes. That is it. Seriously? Yes, they were very good. But I expect a little more for $35.

Way overpriced. $27 for a sea-bass at lunch. The waiter was super nice though!!
