"Bon Voyage!, a transportive bar from the veteran mixology team behind Trick Dog, looks like the result of the time-space continuum gloriously collapsing. Treasures from all over the world, from Africa to Asia and beyond, collide with pieces from other eras—say, the centerpiece disco ball. Though the menu is stocked with tropical flavors, these not-quite-tiki cocktails are well-balanced and ditch the kitsch. House-made bitters, cordials, and tinctures, as well as spirits and spices from around the world, help keep the offerings grounded." - Jenna Scatena

"There’s probably a universe where The Man In The Big Yellow Hat never adopted Curious George, but instead opened a bar. If we lived in that universe, that bar would be Bon Voyage on Valencia Street. This spot is from the people behind Trick Dog (you can definitely tell once you walk in), but instead of fake-out hamburger/hotdog creations, they have dumplings and buns to go with their cocktails. You should come here for cocktails primarily, but if you’re hungry, the pork shui jiao and the mushroom buns are always good." - Will Kamensky

Bon Voyage was created by the team behind Trick Dog and they haven't disappointed! The cocktails were awesome; I especially loved their incarnation of the Singapore Sling. The food was also super tasty. I really loved the pork belly bao and the chao fun noodles - yum!

Great stop on our exploratory cocktail trip of SF. We went at a fairly quiet time of day, just after opening on Saturday, and it was pretty empty. We had several drinks, all of which were pretty good. The setting and ambiance make this place pretty cool, and the drinks for well with the African/“jungle” theme - quite different from the average bar. We had several dishes off the food menu and they were all very good!

We love everything about Bon Voyage and the people who make it happen. The bar/restaurant is spacious and the decor is a lot of fun. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The Spicy Chow Fun was our fav dish. We liked the frozen Bay Wolf cocktail (with Fruit Punch) so much we paused before exiting and returned for another at the bar.

Took a punt based on reviews and so glad we did!! Hidden behind a door with no sign is a super cool place. The huge bar is awesome and then comes the food...AMAZING! Highly recommended We had the lettuce wraps (to die for) and the Kung Pao chicken which was also Awesome. #GotaEatHere

I truly loved this bar program. The decor is interesting, a bit of a colonialism vibe, but not strange enough to deter me from coming back. Came here midday on a Saturday and was able to sit with our drinks (party of 2). You order at the bar. We tried 4 drinks total: the garbage sling, pink lady and jeff, the Rancho mirage, and blue Caterpillar. All of the drinks were delicious. I expected the Rancho mirage to have more avocado in it. I also expected the pink lady and jeff to incorporate the kit kit more. Both drinks were still good, if not a bit confusing. I would still come back here as all of the drinks were delicious. Service was fast and all employees seemed more than knowledgable on their drinks.

Decor and staff were amazing. There is no sign outside that indicates the location (it is also not discoverable on Uber lol). We got a local recommendation to come here and recognized the place only because there was a bouncer outside. The inside is decorated with African influences and I saw them serving asian dishes (I didnt get to try bc we were too full). The drinks were really good though, and had a LOT of alcohol in it (I was lit off 1/6th of my drink and I usually down 4-6 shots). The drinks seem pricey, but when you equate it to the amount you would have spent on shots, its worth👌🏼👌🏼

The first time here we came for the cocktails and they had a nice variety - I typically prefer more subtle and less sweet drinks and the ones I had we're great. We came back again to have some food upstairs and everything was delicious. This may have been the best chow fun I've ever had. The dumplings were fresh and flavorful

Great decor and atmosphere. Enjoyed the artwork. The drinks and food we're good but not great, especially given the cost.
