The 19 Best Restaurants In Providence 2024

"Federal Hill is where you’ll find most of Providence’s red sauce Italian spots, but if you’re looking for something a little lighter, head to Bonnano Vinicola. Expect spritzes, Sicilian wines (some from women-owned producers), and regional specialties like mozzarella di bufala and smoky cured bonito tuna. You’ll probably be served by Max or Luigi, who will encourage you to try their experimental limoncellos and push tiny cups of espresso onto your table. Definitely order dessert: it’s sourced from Scialo’s, the 100-plus-year-old Italian bakery across the street. They do a Sicilian cannoli that makes us weep tears of joy with each slightly sweet, orange-pistachio-tinted ricotta-filled bite." - grace kelly

My family and I had dinner here and it was just as close as you’re going to get to dining in Italy. The food is imported from Italy and they have an amazing wine menu, all coming from small vineyards in Italy. There’s no other authentic Italian wine bar on federal hill, and it’s perfect for wine tasting and trying all their amazing Italian small plates. They also have a market next door where you can buy the wines and food you ate! Luigi the manager was also excellent and gave great menu recommendations. Will definitely be back it’s truly an underrated spot on the hill.

As we received each dish of the 5 courses he explained what we were getting in the neatest way making the experience totally memorable. They were wonderfully attentive. This was on a Company trip but would enjoy having my Wife and Daughter experience that with me. It was so fun.

A beautiful gem on The Hill! Intimate restaurant that feels like you are dining in a cafe in Italy. Food was comforting and delicious, topped only by the amazing warmth and service delivered by Olivia and Francesca! We will be back!

Went here for our wedding night dinner. My wife and I got the supreme dinner. Everything was amazing and so filling. It is pricy, but well worth it.

If your looking for good homely Italian food look no further. This restaurant has the freshest good in the area and because it's so small the owner of the restaurant waits on you and treats you like family

I’ve been waiting for a long time to go here. I called and talked to Umberto, he was very nice and got me scheduled to come in at 5 PM. He opened the door greeted me like family and seated us. All the food was amazing, and the wines were great. It’s not about going out and just eating, it’s about the whole an experience. Umberto makes the night so special because of his amazing personality, he’s warm & inviting. The girls cooking were so polite, then his family came in later, little Italian adorable kids sitting behind the counter perfectly behaved. Most of their food, and the wine are all imported from different parts of Italy and Sicily. It’s definitely an experience. When you’re leaving, and the owner hugs you just as tight as your own family.....well, what do you say? Go here!
