Ordered through DoorDash. Food was good. Good price for the serving size. The buns are my faves. Main dishes definitely could be better. They were not bad just not something to look forward to again.

I’ve been in search of a reliably good Chinese restaurant ever since my favorite one closed two years ago. Two of them nearby have let me down and one was just OK… But last week we found some of the best we’ve ever had at Bon Bon Cafe! My second order does not disappoint. Kung Pao chicken extra spicy. 🌶️ 💥 Wow! Two bites in and I am already craving it. It’s also one of the nicest and cleanest I’ve seen in years.

Tried for first time. Ordered from self service screens. Selected soup, fried dumplings and edamame for appetizers and 4 meals. The soup came out first, then one entree- chicken pad Thai. Then we waited till two more entrees came out. And waited again for the fourth entree. The edamame came out well after the entrees and last was the fried dumplings…. The food was mediocre. Will not return.

This was such a fun find while we were out here at the car dealerships! The inside is super cute with tables, booth style seating, and high tops. There's even games on a shelf when you walk in. We've never been, so we weren't sure whether to sit at a table or to order at the tablets up front first. We ended up ordering at the tablets and taking an order number to a table. We went after the lunch rush around 2:45 pm so it was pretty dead inside except for constant to go orders. We ordered a ton of food just to see what we like here! We got a bbq pork bun, soup dumplings (pork), and crab rangoons for an appetizer. The soup dumplings and the sweet soy dumpling sauce they came with were incredible. 10/10, so flavorful, and they were served in a steamer dish so they stayed hot. The pork bun was good and the rangoons were okay, but you have to pay extra for sweet and sour sauce for them. I could live withou We got the pho, shrimp lo mein, and sesame chicken with white rice for entrees. The sesame chicken blew us away. It was piping hot yet super crispy in a delicious sauce. That was my favorite dish. The lo mein was also pretty good! The pho was my least favorite. The broth wasn't flavorful at all and there was sriracha available to add but not hoisin. I will say it had a good amount of meat in it, but I wouldn't order it again. Service was incredible! We were given awesome table service even though there's a little walk up area to refill drinks - it was done for us! We will be back for the soup dumplings and more chicken dishes for sure.

Second time visiting BonBon Cafe Mechanicsburg. You place your order at the counter and it's ready in just minutes and served to your table. I had Mango LoMain with chicken. Fresh juicy mango chunks and tender chicken over noodles. The next time I ordered LoMain Salad with chicken. Lots of mixed fresh greens with noodles and hot chicken, dressing on the side. A barbeque pork bun was very tasty as an appetizer. Service is very fast and friendly. Boba macha tea was delicious. Highly recommend BonBon Cafe for a quick casual meal or takeout.

It's been a few year and it was nice to be back to this cute little Asian fusion place. I was happy to see MANY new items on the menu. Can't try them all on this trip, but here's what I sampled: Cheese Steak Rolls $5.95 . Comes with 2 rolls. Don't let the picture fool you. I was very disappointed with the size. They are like those skinny spring rolls (vs fat egg rolls) except they put meat and a little bit of cheese in them. Super hot and crispy. Taste isn't bad. But really should be bigger, or serve with quantity of 3. Not a fan here. Spicy Dry Noodle $6.95. Another new item but a dish I'm very familiar with. Well, I wasn't disappointed. Sesame paste with garlic and scallion. Not spicy, but I am not sure it is supposed to be spicy except for the name sake. Don't be fooled by its simpleness; both the taste and the texture of the pasta are super addicting. Highly recommend. Karaage Chicken $7.25. This was the dish that introduced me to Bonbon Cafe 7 years ago. I can't believe the price is still so affordable after all these years. Huge plate of boneless Japanese fried chicken thigh meat. Very good except the meat was a bit too tough. Oh, and they took out the signature bonito flakes which would make this dish come alive. Overall, it's still got the X factor, offering many dishes that are not so easy to get in this area, all under one roof. PS. They’ve upped their service - you don’t have to bus your plates any more. So tip accordingly!!

Google
I used to just pick up something for work, but I recently actually got food from here & returned today. My boyfriend & I really love this place, the food is very good & pretty vegetarian friendly. Tofu can be added to just about any meal as far as I've seen. We will definitely be returning customers. Photos include said boyfriend for size

Google
Do you like gray pork and stale fortune cookies, this is the place for you. Do not waste your money eating at this establishment. The "pork" served in my golden fried rice was inedible. It was gray, fatty and nothing like any pork product I've ever seen. We ordered two dinner meals, both of which are supposed to come with white rice which we did not receive with our order. Tried this place before and they messed up our order but figured we would give it a second shot. Big mistake, will not be returning and I don't recommend you do either.

Yelp
Kinda off the beaten path, but great food and speedy service. Walk in, take a seat in the big dinning area and scan the QR code to pull up the menu. If you like you can order and pay right from your seat or you can walk up to the counter and order. We had the crispy tofu for an appetizer which was absolutely delicious. Crispy outside and perfectly seasoned tofu. For our main dishes we had the chicken general tao & chicken in garlic sauce. The general tao was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The chicken was crispy and so good! The chicken in garlic sauce was okay, but probably wouldn't order again because it wasn't spicy and I've had better other places. I had the black sugar boba tea (oat milk) which is by far the best boba I've ever had!! It was so flavorful and creamy. I would definitely come back for just the boba and maybe the crispy tofu!

Yelp
The food is always hot & Delicious the Service is fast and delivered pleasantly! The layout is very simple and neatly organized and it's always well cleaned and ready for the next customer! Haven't had a bad meal yet!

Yelp
Food is delicious and huge portions for your money! Staff is great & quick! Best lunch date with many selections dishes. My go to spot now while in town. We have food left over for dinner now...

Yelp
Yelp doesn't show previous review any more? Well, this is my third updated review for Bonbon Cafe. It's been a few year and it was nice to be back to this cute little Asian fusion place. Yelp
I order delivery from here for dinner. I was craving some thing unique. I ordered the udon noodles, which might be my new favorite thing! It was yummy and juicey. It had just the littlest kick and I couldn't stop eating! I also treated myself to a Thai tea with boba and coffee! Very yummy. I got a small but it is big enough for me to save the rest for the next morning (it is so good I couldn't let it go to waste).

Yelp
Excellent service, the food is always done on time and is tasty. They occasionally add new things to their menu incase you like to switch things up. A calm ambiance to sit and eat with others or by yourself. Naomi always remembers how many sauces I want and what kind. She's kind and has great customer service.
google avatar

Douglas H.

Yelp
I had read the ads and I thought because it was new to us, we'd try the cuisine. We were brought a Miso soup which good. We started with the Crispy Calamari with two sauces which was pretty tolerable. We shared a TNT roll which we requested Eel Sauce versus a Siracha; it was okay, but I've had better. We ordered shrimp and squid Hibachi dish but was informed they had no squid which I found odd because we just had their Calamari, 'oh well' as Walter would say. Just shrimp was our fall back on. The fried rice which was part of the combo was a little lacking in flavor. The Hibachi Shrimp was tolerable. We were a little disappointed after all the hype, but one more time that's okay.

Yelp
Decided to give this venue a try for lunch - it was after the normal lunch rush, so I had no wait to get served. I quickly found out I was to order at the counter, but there was a server to bring it to the table. I ordered Chicken & Broccoli along with a Spring Roll - wait time was reasonable. On to the taste - very good ...definitely above average! Atmosphere is not super fancy, but is nice - will be back to try more items from the menu...
google avatar

Claire M.

Yelp
They forgot our spring rolls but the food was amazing! My friend picked up the food so I didn't see if the service was good but I've been there before and the ambiance was cozy and cute

Yelp
Amazing food for Chinese food. Has great flavors of food ranging from spicy to non-spicy variations. Loved their Singapore rice noodles, the firecracker chicken and the egg rolls. To top it off, we ended it with a Bubble waffle sundae. This was very unique & tasted very good, tried it for the 1st time. Loved ghe combination of hot & cold. The service was also very quick.

Topia T.

Yelp
The egg rolls where fried dough with about 25 percent content, 75 percent wrapping. Pad Thai was excellent first time and not as good the 2nd time. Please stop using toxic black plastic and BPA plastics in general of any color.
google avatar

Navya V.

Yelp
I come to BonBon cafe specifically for their boba. I have not had their food. They have bubble waffles with ice cream available here and bing soo! I like getting boba/bubble tea from here because they are consistent with the texture and flavor of their boba. The boba is not too tough and has the right amount of sweetness to the boba. They have good flavored milk teas and fruit teas. The teas are also a good texture and the milk teas are well mixed and not powdery.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
We were visiting the area and decided to try this place. They have variety of Asain cuisine including Chinese and Thai. We ordered numerous dishes and shared all of them. We had curry fried rice, sesame chicken, pad thai, and Buddhist delight. No complaints concerning the food as it was all good. You order the food in the front or at the kiosk and they bring them to you. All utensils are all on the table so they don't wait on you which I prefer. You do have to check out the dessert menu too. They have ice cream with small asian pancake and variety of boba teas. Overall, one of the best Asian fast food in the area.

Kaitlyn R.

Yelp
Amazing Food very tasty and cook to perfection! We order all the time and excited to try more!

Yelp
I went in one day after driving past it for so long. It smelled amazing in there, it wasn't busy but it was a little slow. It was worth it though, the food was amazing! The sesame balls were slightly sweet with a savory note from the seeds, the custard steamed buns were absolute HEAVEN!! And those soy garlic chicken wings.. let's just say next time I won't get JUST 5 LOL. I will definitely come back here again, I think I found my new favorite place along this strip :)
google avatar

Jen L.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and try the lo mein! We love it so much we bought a whole tray for a party! The inside is cute and clean, but haven't seen many people hanging out when I go to pick up my order. Service is good.
google avatar

Cheyenne Y.

Yelp
Found them after Covid shut down, and have not regretted it! Best chicken and broccoli, and hands down, best sweet and sour chicken! Quick service for pick-up. Always ready within 10-15 mins. They also have a great Thai Tea, and wonton soup that is packed with flavor.
google avatar

Jose R.

Yelp
Amazing food and take out is very efficient. Must try the bubble waffle and ice cream! Hot Pot dish is amazing!
google avatar

Charles B.

Yelp
Food - food was very good I ordered the General Tao, chicken Lo mien and crab Rangoon's. The food was hot and fresh and you have to order at the cash register. Service - over all service was ok, only thing that pissed me off and I would have walked out if my wife wasn't with me I would have, I was in the process of ordering our dinner and the lady that was taking our order stoped and answered the phone to take another order that pisses me off so bad she didn't even apologize or anything . I can't say I'll be back.
google avatar

Amy T. H.

Yelp
I recently came back to Bonbon Cafe to try its food out. I have always had bubble tea here and they were good. This time i tried their food and it was very delicious. I had crispy tofu, chicken curry, and orange chicken. Unlike other takeout Chinese restaurant where food sometimes could taste greasy and stale, the dishes that i had at BonBon were fresh, flavorful, and cames in good portion. Not to mention, their price is reasonable (average $11/ dish)
google avatar

Oliver J.

Yelp
I was a little disappointed. The Mongolian Beef was 70% onions and 30% beef. We showed it to the waitress, and she said you should have asked for broccoli instead of onions. Get outta here. The pineapple fried rice was fine, but the pineapple left something to be desired. Nothing was crispy. He Singapore noodles were fine, although dry and over salted. The place was cold during winter. I wouldn't come back.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
When we first ate here the food and service was amazing! It became a local favorite of ours. Crispy general tsos, brown rice to die for, and some really good soups. Then covid hit and everything got shut down. The other night we saw that it was open for take out and delivery. Wow what a difference a few years make. The food now tastes completely microwaved and mushy. Like the kind of food you'd find at a Panda Express chain. The General Tsos should now be called general batter because I'm not sure there's any meat to be found in here. In fact a few bites were all breading. The soup too was mushy and mediocre. A far cry from days gone by. Really disappointing.
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
Good Boba Tea! My only advice on the food portion of the menu is to skip the Pad Thai and choose something else from the menu. (If you want Thai food, there are better restaurant options elsewhere.)
google avatar

Jana P.

Yelp
First time going here and it was so good! Highly recommend. Portions and pricing is really good for what you get. I got my order to go and it took about 10-12 minutes at most for 3 meals (not all pictured). The Pad Thai with chicken is one of the best I've had and my friend loves going here. First time have a bubble waffle and now I will have to continue getting them! For my pad Thai, kid's sweet and sour chicken and a garlic chicken entree it came out to $37.88 which I think is really good! I couldn't stop myself from finishing my pad Thai and I was full for the rest of the night. Plus the place is pretty cute and really clean.
google avatar

Eileen H.

Yelp
Came here for dessert and some drinks on a Sunday afternoon. It was mostly clean, with a rustic vibe. I had the bubble waffle with vanilla ice cream, oreo cookies and MnM's drizzled with chocolate. It was just okay--I like a real "waffle" flavor, like you get with a Belgian waffle and this just didn't have it. Just a note--they only carry chocolate and vanilla ice cream, so if your looking for other flavors, this place isn't for you. I also ordered the Passion Fruit tea with peach "bubbles" and it was very good. Friends also enjoyed their milk teas but didn't think the shaved ice was great. One of them said it had the texture that old ice cream gets after sitting in the freezer for too long. Regardless, we saw many other menu items that we'd like to try. I would return for the drinks alone. During our entire stay (at least an hour) one table a few down from us stayed dirty with dishes, etc. It wasn't very busy at the time and there seemed to be enough employees to be able to take care of this. I'm sure it was an oversight, but it was still a turnoff nonetheless. Cleanliness in a restaurant is important to me!
google avatar

Corey K.

Yelp
We had food delivered and it was excellent! We ordered for two people and the price was $82.37 with delivery fee. Chinese food use to be inexpensive but something has changed for the worse. I need to quench my Chinese food cravings occasionally but at these prices I'll choose other, more affordable options. Rice, meat and vegetables shouldn't cost this much.
google avatar

Kayla L.

Yelp
Someone recommended this place so we tried it. Disappointed. Apparently fried rice is brown rice with nothing in it. My sesame chicken was swimming in sweet and sour sause. The pictures on here their is no sauce under the sweet or sour chicken. My husband got shrimp lo mein and only get 4 little shrimp in the whole thing. My son was the smart one and asked for burger king.
google avatar

Bhunjun M.

Yelp
Pretty good food! We had pad thai and beef and it was really flavorful. The service was quick!
google avatar

Annabelle L.

Yelp
Oh I'm in love with this place here! Thanks to other great yelp reviews and photos, I found another gem added to my 'must eats list' when I'm in PA. Good Chinese fusion food, flavorful shaved ice cream with delicious toppings and bubble tea drinks....man, I'm in heaven. Came here for dinner and it's located on the side of a stop store area. We ordered the chicken pad Thai, Buddha's delight with brown rice, General Taos chicken with brown rice, and kids meal of chicken lo mein comes with crab Rangoon and fountain drink. They give a glass water bottle for any diners eating in so no need to ask for water. The food orders came out quick and portion size is pretty good. My brown rice was mountain size in my rice bowl, so definitely portion is more than a cup. Everything tastes really good. My fave is the Buddha's delight which is tofu and mixed veggies in brown sauce. You can't come here without trying at least a dessert! We order a large coconut shaved ice cream with tapioca, fruit jelly and strawberries. It was definitely such a sweet treat. We will definitely come back here again and again.
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
You order at the counter, and your food is brought to you wherever you've chosen to sit. It was delivered quite quickly, hot, fresh, and delicious. I will definitely return.
google avatar

Warren N.

Yelp
This is one of the best meals I have had in a long time. This place has been on my want to visit list for a long time and I am glad I stopped here instead of the chain restaurant I was going to go to. The restaurant is functional with a nice set up and books you can read. I love books so that is always a bonus. I had the hot soup and it was rich and hot. The spring roll was crispy. The Mongolian chicken was very, very, very tasty. Fresh and hot. What can you say about white rice? Even this was delicious. The main reason I came here was to try the shaved ice which I had never had. I got mango with strawberry, blueberry, and honey. WOW! Perfect ending I will definitely be back even though it is out of my way. Good job to the chef and staff. If you are an adventurous eater. Please try this place. They should be busier.
google avatar

Shravya N.

Yelp
Its our go to thai-chinese asian place. The food tastes basic. Good thing is they are not heavy on oil like other places. Few items are a miss so you have to try out couple of items on the menu to figure out what you may like. We usually get hot and sour soup, basil fried rice and coconut noodle soup.
google avatar

Riley H.

Yelp
A decent Asian spot in an area without a lot of good options, they have good appetizers, decent entrees, and okay boba (though they give you a MASSIVE cup and I am very picky with boba).
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
My wife's favorite restaurant in Mechanicsburg! She typically gets the red curry dish and just loves it. She also gets the boba tea which she enjoys as well. I always get the dry pot and it's very good if you like spicy Asian seafood fusion. Prices are reasonable and the service is pretty quick. The place might not look as polished as some restaurants but it's a hidden gem for sure. If you're considering it, go ahead and give it a try - don't think you will be disappointed.
google avatar

Nico L.

Yelp
Every time we order from here the food is delicious. They have a good variety and we always like to try something new. We really enjoy the Japanese milk tea.
google avatar

Taina R.

Yelp
BONBON cafe is a must to eat at. I've been here twice and I don't visit it often because I live 45 mins away. They have a lounge area where you can relax & eat at. They also have games you can play in the lounge area. The food is great and I recommend bubble tea !
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
We walked in and it was larger and darker than expected. Walk to the counter, order, get a number and sit down. The music was this depressing slow music, John Mayer love songs and such, and the tables were the stickiest I've had to deal with for a long time. Tried to wipe it down but it seems the cleaner they use is eating the gloss so it's not dirty, just.. sticky. The WiFi also didn't work but we didn't let them know, we figured it was par for experience we were having so far. The reviews were good so we were still hopeful. And let me tell you, it's worth it. The pad Thai and Kim chee pot were both delicious. Whomever the cook is has a talent for flavor. After we tried a waffle with chocolate and Mochi and mango shaved ice with double lychee and OMG they were both killer amazing. So now we're listening to some young guy dragging out the Police's "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" - it's a sad, slow, travesty - but the food and dessert is so good we wish we lived near here so we could come in and torture ourselves with these sticky tables, horrible music, and incredible food and desserts on a regular basis!
google avatar

Tom J.

Yelp
Ok, have they tried anything they cook? The dumplings were awful and my Singapore Noodles were so salty that we had to send them back. The ramen was ok, and the wonton soup was mediocre...but man, what a let down.

Meghan O.

Yelp
we go here about once a week at this point. the food is not oily or heavy - it's fresh and the portions always allow for at least two meals. the price isn't out of control, and this place is really special in terms of food- there are some items i don't really see elsewhere, and they're honestly all great there's an incredible array of bubble tea - the nagasaki milk tea is so good ! i got the peach tea tonight, and i love it! as for what id recommend - literally anything. if you like the sound of it, you'll like it. i really love the crispy tofu appetizer - im not even a huge fan of tofu, but it's got great flavor and texture. im trying to work my way through other items on the menu, but have favorites i like too much now. the noodle salad is one of them. try the buns too!!!! i have had most (if not all) - they're all worth trying. the dessert waffle i've only gotten once, but you can get pretty wild with the toppings, and it is definitely a good idea we usually take it out, but the inside is a place i'd consider going! staff is really nice, and i honestly can't recommend this place enough. i lived in NYC, and people often ask if i miss the food - not when i have places like this! edit to add - tried the mango dish tonight - already a favorite, wow !

Yelp
Ordered for delivery, we were missing a whole meal. When I called, I was hung up on 3 times because I wanted the meal delivered. They said no they will only refund the money. When I finally agreed to a refund (my son didn't get dinner so I had to give him mine) I asked how I'd get my refund and they hung up on me. I called back and he said "I answered you" and hung up again. I called again and he said "you'll get your refund" and hung up again. I will never order through them again. Terrible customer service.

Robin B.

Yelp
I had high hopes but this was just not good. Whatever was fried was so over fried that it made the food hard to eat. We ordered the crab Rangoon which we could only eat the one soft bite in the middle. The orange chicken was the same, so heavily fried. I suspect this is not made in house, it's pre breaded and frozen chicken in which case the quality makes sense. Even the spring roll was pretty bad. 100% cabbage. Not a hint of carrot or anything else. The wonton soup was equally bad. Not a scallion to be found. The wonton had almost no filling so it was essentially thick dumpling dough and broth. No one came by our table to ask how things were either. Maybe they knew from my uneaten plate of food. We left it there. Never again.

Yelp
Great lunch special, amazing flavorful food. I enjoy the relaxed environment every time I visit. The mango chicken is delicious and the Karage thighs are super crunchy.

Yelp
Great food.. after trying this, upset we never tried it sooner.... Good tasted great, made fresh quickly

Yelp
Great little family place that is a hidden gem. Food is solid but the shaved iced desserts are the reason to come back. My family loves to play the board and card games the have on the back wall. Turns into on impromptu family game night ever time we come.

Yelp
I came here when they first opened, excited about the basic Asian desserts that are typically abundant in large cities, especially those with chinatowns. In addition, I saw that they had hot pot which was also a rarity here for me in the central PA region and piqued my curiosity. So I got the hotpot here for the week of Chinese New Year along with their bubble waffle desserts. I now have been back for the "new" to me shaved ice. The hotpot was honestly a let down and I shouldn't have been expecting so much. Maybe it was chinese new year that's why? Just because they know they are the only ones in the area serving this, they skimped on details, thinking no one would notice.... I think not. I would recommend if you go there and order it, don't expect a lot of anything but broth. Who knows maybe it's changed since the first opening months? If you're hungry, maybe ask if you can add extra to your hotpot. The bubble waffle dessert was meh. I don't think about it but alas for this area it's a big deal. So if you've never tried it, this place would "safe" environment to do so. Now I DO recommend you come her for the shaved ice! I was actually impressed BUT also expect there to not be a lot of fruit that you usually would expect..... This also is the first legit boba shop in the tri state area. At least now there has been a recent boba/chinese food place that finally cropped up on the east shore in middletown. All in all, not bad, and just glad this place exists but not worth the trek for me personally. Unfortunately it's a hike. FYI menus have changed I believe since I uploaded them but here are food pics.

Yelp
Ordered: Classic Milk Tea + Boba; half sweet Roasted Oolong Milk Tea with Sea Cheese foam + Boba; no added sugar Pros: -Probably the best bubble tea in a 20 mile radius -Free wifi -Nice ambient music -Lots of seating -large variety of food and desserts -high tech ordering system (who wants to have human interaction anyways) -the boba pears are soft, chewy, and actually have a nice honey flavor! -tea is authentic, has a nice flavor profile -sea cheese (aka sea cream, aka milk cap) had a really nice and slightly sweet/salty taste! It's akin to an egg tart flavor if you've been to any Asian Bakery. Cons: - Classic Milk Tea at half sugar was still too sweet for my taste. - Dimly lit, not great for studying - chairs are EXTREMELY uncomfortable (a lot of restaurants use this tactic to get people to eat faster as well as save money on seats. Pretty shady) - No outlets if you wanted to study for long periods of time (see: uncomfortable chairs) - On the pricier side. Small size with boba is $4 and specialty drinks are $5. - NO NON-DAIRY OPTIONS! Sorry lactose-intolerant friends!! I grew up in Southern California, one of the boba capitals of the country, and after moving to Hershey I've been distraught on when I could experience the sweet sweet bubble tea that characterized my high school and undergraduate years. Bonbon did not completely recreate that feeling, but it came pretty darn close. I walked in a Saturday afternoon to the plaza housing Bombay Bazaar, Bawarchi Indian Restaurant, and Kumon Learning Center. Mechanicsburg is a bit of a drive from Hershey, but I know that I'll be making the trip here for boba many times in the future. There was only one couple inside, and two workers handling the customers and chilling out. The first thing that caught my eye was a fancy ordering system. Everything is on a touchpad tablet that you simply pick and choose your preferences and swipe your card! After that you can take a number and wait at the table for your order to be brought out. Yay technology! I was pretty impressed with my first drink (Classic Milk Tea with boba, half sweet, $4) There is a strong black tea flavor without being overrun by milk. The boba were soft, chewy, and definitely marinated in honey or syrup adding some extra sweetness. They did their boba REALLY well! So many places will have hard or chewy boba that immediately turns off the whole drinking experience. However, next time I'll ask for no added sugar in my classic milk tea so that I don't feel too guilty! My next drink is one of my favorites: Sea Cheese/Sea Cream + literally anything. The salty+sweet seriously changes the game in terms of dessert drinks, and if you've never had this, you gotta! I asked for the roasted oolong tea which had a very prominent earthy and almost toasted-rice flavor. It was delicious! I was able to try each layer of the drink separately: the cheese foam, tea, and boba. The foam and boba definitely beat out the tea. I think I'll be choosing black tea next time, since the salty foam and roasted oolong taste didn't go too great together. One bad thing about this drink is that it came with no ice- I know it may not be the style, but adding a salty flavor to anything creamy that's not ice cold is GROSS! Nobody wants to taste like they're almost having spoiled milk, so I asked for extra ice and the staff made it all better :) Will definitely be coming back. Hope to see some sort of stamp card system implemented for the future!

Yelp
We've been here two times. The first time was for the shaved icy dessert. The second time was for dinner and dessert. Pineapple rice was decent but a little bland. Couldn't tell if the pineapple was canned or just overcooked. The lo mein noodles were too sweet to eat. My son, with the sweet tooth, couldn't even eat them. I tried them. No interesting flavor. Just sweet. Hubby had the red curry. It was good but had a floral note I had never encountered before. I had the ribs and cheese. Great idea and they tasted good together. However, the rib meat was almost impossible to rip off the bone. They come out sizzling and are so hot you want to tear the meat off the bone so it can cool before eating. It took so long, I ended up only eating two ribs and taking the rest home. The bbq sauce was good - but sweet. I was disappointed with how little spice there was in everything. Not just spicy but overall flavoring. I know this is central PA and people often "dumb down" flavors and sweeten things up, but this was too bland and two sweet. I was craving a jar of spicy dried hot peppers to sprinkle on top of everything. The shaved ice desserts are fun because you can't get those flavor combinations around here. However, they aren't cheap. The bowls look large, but there's a lot of air so it makes for a pretty light dessert. The second night we were there, they were out of a few toppings I wanted so it was a little disappointing. My rating should probably be a 3.5 but I'll round up for now because the people are nice. The ambiance is nice. The prices aren't horrible. They should give clear instructions for how it works. It's order at the counter. You get your own drinks and silverware. However, I saw many groups looking around not quite sure where to go. Used a discount on the wings. They were meh and I wouldn't get them again for the price (even with discount). One more visit with different dishes should prove if this is a 3 or 4 star establishment.

Yelp
Omg finally got to try a bubble waffle! My friend and I have seen so many photos of bubble waffles on Instagram but sadly don't have them anywhere in the Pittsburgh area. I was absolutely thrilled when I stumbled across this place while I was out of town for work. After our dinner we decided to stop for a bubble waffle for dessert. It was a cute little place and it appeared to be very clean. They have games up front for people to play which I thought was really cool. You only really see that at breweries so I was surprised to see that in a restaurant. For my bubble waffle I ended up doing vanilla ice cream with strawberries, Oreos, and chocolate drizzle. It was every bit as good as I imagined. I only have 2 small complaints. They didn't have a whole lot of toppings to choose from. It was also a little difficult to eat the waffle out of a deep dish bowl. I've seen other places serve it wrapped up almost like a pita. Seems a lot easier to eat it that way so you can get the ice cream with the waffle.
