Bonchon Tempe

Came here a couple years ago and the food was not good. Went back today because I thought maybe, with all the reviews, the chicken had gotten better but no. The legs were either old or fried so hard they appeared to be old. It's difficult to make a chicken leg dry but all 4 of them were and fried extra extra hard. Definitely not the Bonchon I used to have in CA. Never again.

We were visiting Arizona and loved this place! The service was quick and the food was very tasting. We got fried rice, radish and coleslaw as our sides. We had beers for our drinks! Also we did the hot sauce and it was pretty spicy!

This place is always consistent with serving crispy, flavorful chicken. The soy garlic chicken never disappoints as far as taste is concerned. However, they've definitely started skimping out on portion sizes-- they used to serve the wings fully in tact, but now the wing tip is removed and then serve the drummettes and flats separately. So you're essentially paying more for 2/3 of the amount of chicken they used to serve. The pickled radish and kimchi are alright; no real complaints there. The rice was lower quality now, though, and was cooked with too much water, which made some of it squishy. (Which is insane considering it's $4 per serving, and the serving size is so small) The employees are nice enough, but they don't really come back to check on you or give refills unless you flag them down. Overall, this Bonchon location is decent but could benefit from some improvements.

While still a great stop for some great food I felt a few of our items were over cooked this time. My bao buns while flavorful the meat could’ve been cooked a tad less. It was a bit tough to chew. The potstickers were amazing with half and half of the sauces. My bibimbap spicy and delicious. Service was good and Amy delay was addressed. Vibe is pretty basic, but welcoming and enjoyable. Prices fair for the amount of food you receive.

The wings are still my favorite spicy wings on the planet. The crisp is just perfect and the sauce is perfection, it’s not too messy and it doesn’t drip and it’s just painted on literally. You will not regret trying these wings I promise.

Bonchon, Tempe is Excellent! Christain & Dakota, our servers were on point serving us our drinks & meals with little wait time & constant checking in to see 👀 if we needed anything else. Christian was very helpful in suggesting popular chicken flavors - soy garlic & Korean BBQ delicious. We had the lunch choice wings & mixed wings & half /half sauce above. Came with a side of white rice which was too soggy not Shelly so I substitute for French fries which was perfect. The chicken was great and crunchy bite & very flavorful & moist on the inside. We also tried the potstickers & the Bao Buns they were delicious. Love them things & flavor. Yummy. I didn't care for the takoyaki fried octopus dumplings. The mushy texture on the inside was a "Oh Heck No" for me, but hubby added soy & gulf them down loving those things. Lol. I say enjoy buddy 😉. The restaurant very clean & great atmosphere with lively pop music flowing in the back ground, make you want to rock to the beat as you bite each piece of chicken. Love it all great experience. Will go again.

The food was delicious!! The waitress was very kind, and the main cook came out during our meal to ensure everything came out okay. Definitely coming back 🤗

The grilled chicken tacos are amazing however the service was terrible. The girl at the counter doesn't speak or welcome you in and when you do have questions she literally just stares at you. They were out of most of their fountain drinks which she failed to tell us when purchasing one. Out of Ketchup out of Forks, no Salt or pepper. Extremely expensive 40.00 for fried rice and tacos. The food is good but will not be back or at least not to this location.
