"Miami isn’t exactly know for being a pizza city, but that all might be changing when Italian pizzaiolo Gabriele Bonci — the man behind Rome’s wildly popular Pizzarium — brings his restaurant Bonci (pronounced Bahn-chi) to Miami in early 2019. The Roman-style pizzeria, which already has two outposts in Chicago, will debut inside Cube Wynwood at 222 NW 24th Street in the heart of the popular arts district, Bonci’s president Rick Tasman tells Eater Miami. “As we began to test the waters for our Roman style pizza, we thought Chicago would be a good place to start,” Bonci notes. “Now that we have had some success there we felt that Miami for the reason above would be a great place for us to go next. We fell in love with the Wynwood Arts District and found a great location in the Cube. You can’t beat the weather either!“ Bonci’s pizza made a name for itself by serving well-priced, pizza al taglio i.e. pizza served by the slice. The dough is made with cold fermented heirloom wheat flour in rectangular cast-iron pans and topped with a large array of ingredients that’s sliced by scissors and sold by weight. For the Miami outpost, Bonci plans to bring use some of its most popular pizzas from a recipe bank of more than 1,500, but also plans to develop some Miami-inspired pizzas using flavors and ingredients traditionally found in the area." - Olee Fowler

3.8⭐️ Great potential. Heard great things from the Rome location. The dough is right there; good stuff! There is a nice variety of different pizzas. Good quality ingredients. A great addition to Miami with Rome-style pizza. I love the fact that there is a complimentary sparkling water fountain in the back. However, there is tons to improve, so I look forward to coming back!

Bonc pizzai....ahhh. we missed the place while in Tome, the line was too long. I got so excited that it opened a location in Miami. While visiting few weeks back, we decided to drive by and pick up few slices. No parking upfront, but valet guy let us park for 10 mins. We ran in and started ordering for to go. Beautiful store, so many varieties, delicious dough, and topping. We enjoyed every bite. Glad we finally tried it.

An Italian icon in Miami? Roman pizza right in the middle of Wynwood. Great potential, good basics, but still needs some improvements. Bonci is an i comic Italian pizza shop serving square pan-pizza slices to-go. It’s particularly famous for its sourdough base and creative toppings. Different to the original the Wynwood location just doesn’t shine with the same level of freshness in the products on display, the staff lacks motivation and overall the diner needs some better clean up of tables etc. One can only hope that more traffic will lead to fresher products, but the current state may lead to the opposite, which would be a real pity! Also I was missing some original favorites from the Italian store, such as potato and mozzarella.

Wow this place is not only all natural and minimal processed food. Love this place and Lydia was phenomenal in helping us understand the ingredients and description of the pizza. Great personality and made this place an experience. If you thought you had “artistic pizza”, then come here and check it out! Creative options!

Unique flavors and great concept. It was my first time here and employee was extremely helpful in picking out good amount to order for 2 people. We got portions of the spicy sausage calabrese, spicy eggplant (vegetarian) and the potato mozzarella (beat expectations) and paid under $15. Will definitely go back!

3.75 star review....Been to the Rome location and looked forward to this visit. Good pizza but not as good as the Rome location. Don't do the marinated onion pizza as it's not close to the juniper onion you get in Rome. Chicken Parm was good with a kick of spice. Zucchini ricotta was a favorite.

Pizza were great, but the amazing part was staff, a lady help us on our first time there, explain about the slice, and how the price base on the weight. She also helps us on refill drinking water after that, without us asking much.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Pizza was good and I appreciated the cool topping options. Pro tip— ask for some sauce on the side for dipping.
