"Bond Street Wines is a timeless wine shop in Myers Park with an itty bitty counter for locals to enjoy a glass or two and some aperitivo snacks, including $1 chips. The shop is 20 years old, and just like some of the best bottles of wine, the age on this place sits nicely on the palate. Don’t be fooled — there are still a lot of young, new-age wines scattered amongst some higher-end classics. First-timers are treated like neighborhood regulars and offered a glass to sip while strolling around the petite store — a style of hospitality that just straightaway makes a place feel cozy." - Kayleigh Ruller

I discovered this store by accident about 3 years ago and have become a regular customer since. The staff is very knowledgeable and by now they know my taste. What I like most about this store is that many wines come from very small wineries, often created using very traditional methods. I think Bond Street’s wines have a character that is often missing in wine from big retail chains.

We were excited to get a bottle of wine here with some meats and cheese. The man working(texting) was rude to us and acted like we were bothering him though we were the only people in the store. He was busy on his phone, so we left.... unfortunate.

Visited Thursday with my girlfriend Shea. She was greeted warmly by Sam and so was I. A laid back, friendly place where you just relax. Love it😍

Google
Very helpful, nice, great taste in wine and a lovely little terrace and inside seating for snacks and a glass of wine! We walked away with more than just the champagne we were seeking for a friends wedding and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Superb selection of French wine especially!

One of the best spots to buy wine in Charlotte, hands down. Bond Street has a better selection of small-production wineries than any other retailer; more importantly, it focuses on intentional, sustainable, environment- (and people-) friendly wines. You can find everything here: from your $15 Malbec, to the newest & funkiest Pet Nat, to iconic Napa and Burgundy wines. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and remember a customer’s preferences, which is so important. For example: I love all kinds of wines… but If I go somewhere looking for a low-intervention, eccentric wine from Northern Italy, and I’m recommended a Napa Cab, I never go back to that shop. Luckily, the manager of Bond Street (Sam) remembers my preferences and recommends me quality wines that fit my description to a T. Lastly, Bond Street also consistently has some of the best pricing in the city for retail, so rest assured: you’re getting the best deal in Charlotte for that stellar wine you’re drinking!

Google
Fantastic across the board. Many shops tends to price gauge, but Bond Street has an impressive selection with even better prices. If I’m splurging into triple digits on a bottle, I want to get my money’s worth. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. Absolutely amazing experience!

Google
The best neighborhood wine store you could ask for. Staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and an outstanding selections of wines from around the world you will not find anywhere else! They will let you sample all kinds of great finds. Do yourself a favor and stop in!

Yelp
Love this little wine bar. Came here after dinner for drinks and enjoyed chatting with the guys behind the counter. It's small, cozy and quiet enough that you can actually hear yourself and the conversation you're having. Great selection of wines, too! I saw a bottle of Cab for $750, though, so I slowly made my way to the other side of the room where it was more affordable

Yelp
I am not sure what I can possibly add to all of these awesome reviews, but Bond Street Wines is the best. Whether you want to relax with a glass of wine and some nibbles of cheese, or need to pick out the perfect bottle, Bond Street Wines is the place. As others have said the environment is casual and cool and not stuffy at all...but even if you're going to a stuffy restaurant before or after you stop by for a glass, you totally won't be judged. Really, really, really recommend you stop by!

Yelp
Very knowledgeable about wine offering honest reviews and recommendations. Very willing to meet customers needs offering personalized service in an unhurried manner! The store itself is quaint and has a relaxing/intimate atmosphere despite it's small space.

Yelp
What a Pleasant place to sit and enjoy a glass or bottle of wine. We had some wonderful service from a young man whose name escapes me right now (Going to get married and his fiance dropped by). He recommended some wonderful wines and enjoyed his/her company so much the wife ended up buying 4 bottles of wine. I Wish they were a little closer to us but every time we go to the Manor Twin we come here for wine, BEFORE AND AFTER the movie! lol Relax and Vino on.

Yelp
You know the feeling you get when you've been meaning to go into a place for the longest time and then you go and realize how much you have been missing out? That's what happened to me the other night. I met a friend to see a movie and thought we would get a glass of wine due to our workdays. It was super relaxed inside, the person behind the bar, (i never got his name-shame on me) was super friendly and even preformed an "experiment" on me when I couldn't decide on what glass to get. There was a gentleman playing an acoustic guitar and softly signing in the corner. He was later joined by two of his buddies and they jammed out (still acoustic, but you could tell it was a fun collaboration). All in all, it was a nice evening. They definitely know their wines and they really have a lot of recommendations... also pretty budget conscious so when we were debating about getting another glass, he recommended a bottle (more bang for the buck). Luckily I had lyfted here, my friend had driven, but we got her a lyft home and she was going to pick her car up in the morning. We were there after work.... 6ish so it was just us for a while, but it picked up later around 7 with people meeting friends to hang out. There was one lady in the back working on her laptop, so made for a nice relaxed place to enjoy the ambiance and/or sip some wine. They also have beer on tap too!!

Yelp
Do you want to sample some fine wines without a pretentious snob looking down their nose at you? You've come to the right place! My husband and I popped in here one Friday night when we were accidentally 30 minutes early to our movie next door. The people running the place were extremely nice and didn't even bat an eye when we asked if we could split a single person's Tasting (due to time constraints). They were very cool about it and still gave us exactly as much attention as they did the other people in the shop who were ordering full glasses of wine which cost more by the glass than our entire tasting. (Only $10/tasting flight!) The atmosphere in the shop is very warm and inviting and laid back. The people who frequent the store are open to random conversation with strangers, which is lovely. All-in-all it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to going back again.

Yelp
I live outside of Charlotte and wanted to deliver a bottle of Dom to my brother-in-law as congrats for finishing his board exams. I accidentally waited too late to put in the order on Drizly and thought I was out of luck. Fortunately, Bond Street Wines saved the day! Leslie bent over backwards to get the bottle to my sister and her husband that evening on her off time. Just incredibly nice, above-and-beyond service. Next time I'm in Charlotte we are definitely getting all of our booze at Bond Street!!

Yelp
Ok. What can I say about Bond Street. This is my weekly spot. The owner is fantastic. I am here every week because I can't just not come. You have a price range? He'll offer you a good choice within you price range and not jip you. He is the wine whisperer. He just understands what what you wants. Come for the weekly wine tasting and you won't be disappointed Basically, this is my favorite spot in Charlotte.

Yelp
I met a few friends at Bond Street wines before going to a movie. It is an adorable shop with really well chosen wine. The staff was so nice. We went on a Wednesday where it was 2 samples of wine for $3. They were happy pours! The owner and wine team are awesome and really knowledgeable. They really know their wine and what they have in store. The prices are beyond reasonable. This is a hidden gem and a great date spot! Perfect for happy hour or learning about wine on a date night. Pro tip: IF you go on the weekends and are ok with the crazy crowds I would recommend parking in the back or ubering. Parking can be a little insane.

Beth K.

Yelp
Love this place! The wine team is awesome and friendly and really know their wine inventory. This is a great place to test drive a wide variety of wine. It is a very popular hangout for a Friday nite. I am addicted to this place. The prices are very reasonable. Just let the wine team know your wine budget and they will find you something you will enjoy.

Yelp
Please support this wonderful boutique wine store! Easy parking, wonderful staff and best of all great wine and nibbles! I've been here several times during the pandemic and they have always been accommodating welcoming and appreciative of my business. Their roasted Marcona almonds are truly addictive! They also have local cheeses, cornmeal and locally foraged mushrooms! It's so important during these times to support small businesses and I am so grateful that this wonderful jewel of a place is down the street from me. I can't wait for them to re-open to have their wine tastings and to be able to sit at the bar and have some great conversation with them and my neighbors. There also within walking distance of a number of independently owned restaurants so you can pick up dinner and walk over and get a great bottle of wine or beer to go with it!

Paul C.

Yelp
A gem of a neighborhood place, very small yet quaint. They offer quite a few "boutique" wines, such as Turley, Ken Wright, Pesquera, etc. Again not a huge selection, but boy what they carry is top notch! I came in for a top rated South African Pinotage for a blind tasting I'll be attending next week. Most people at this tasting have a disdain for South African wines (like I used to until I tried some of their recent vintages). So this should be interesting. The young lady behind the counter was pleasant and was quite knowledgeable about the wines they carry. Not the cheapest wine prices out there, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for some "hard to find" wines, then check out this place. I will definitely be returning!

Ted T.

Yelp
Wife and I are big fans of this place. They love their wines and it's such a great specialty wine shop. Everyone that works there is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Candyce B.

Yelp
What a lovely little gem! Tucked away in a small shopping center on Providence Road with a warm and inviting feel and bottles of wine lined up on the walls this place is simply perfect for any event...no matter if it's hanging out with some girlfriends or a hot date night. While I don't remember all the names of the wines I sampled I do know that they were all delightful. Not to mention that the staff were very knowledgable and super friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves wine and a laid back and relaxing environment. One quick note: don't fret the parking situation there's plenty of parking in the back!

Dan W.

Yelp
Best wine shop in Charlotte. Lilly is great and all the staff are knowledgeable and fun to chat with.

Julie H.

Yelp
Bond Street Wines is absolutely the best place to come shop for wine or stop for a glass. The staff are beyond friendly and knowledgeable. You will find no better wine shop in Charlotte!

Allison M.

Yelp
Hidden gem in Eastover/Myers Park that is a must for wine drinkers. Owner and staff are super friendly and very helpful. Parking can be a bit tricky, so don't forget about the back lot. I've yet to make it to one of their wine tastings on Fridays, but it's high on my to-do list!

Kathryn K.

Yelp
Love this place. Everyone is so welcoming and very knowledgeable. They have a variety of wines that range in price. I was shocked they had bottles of wine at the $16 price point that were actually good. Highly recommend this place as a Friday after work stop.

Madeleine G.

Yelp
This place is the best hidden gem in Charlotte. I "discovered" it one weekend with a girlfriend and since then every friend I take for a visit immediately says "Wow, this my new favorite spot." It truly is just that. From its light and airy decor, to its incredible staff (Dillard is great!) and amazing wine selection, this place is sure to charm you and anyone you bring. I'm so happy Charlotte has a place like this. I hope to return for years to come.

Olaf K.

Yelp
Great wines reasonably priced. Every Friday is $10 wine tasting and saturdays has live music

Christian T.

Yelp
This is a great wine shop in Eastover with a nice, thoughtfully-chosen inventory and knowledgeable staff. The store has a nice selection of wines from various regions within a quaint, boutique setting. Also if you're looking for Champagne, stop in to see some unique labels you won't find elsewhere in Charlotte.

David W.

Yelp
Bond Street is a great place to get great wine- all with a sophisticated atmosphere and a great depth of knowledge from the owner and his friendly staff. Prices range from very affordable (under $20) to "once in a blue moon" luxury purchase. We love visiting this neighborhood gem!

Rachel P.

Yelp
They have tastings every Friday, which are fun. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable and personable. They sell wines from vineyards they've personally visited which makes the tastings and purchasing of wines much more interesting.
