Bonde Fine Wine Shop

5 stars! An absolutely incredible shop, unlike anything else you will find. It is such a joy every visit, we learn what’s new, what’s good in town, and just HOW different the same grape can taste. Bonde has spoiled us, the wine is so unique, truly a brand new experience with every bottle, and we love it. Bertil greets every person who walks through the door like they have been friends for 20 years, you won’t find better service anywhere else! Please stop by and get yourself a case, or two!

I had the pleasure of stopping in to Bonde for the first time on Valentine's day. The space is small and well-organized. The owner, Bertil, was immediately attentive when I asked him some questions about a wine to pair with my wife's cooking. After asking about the dinner (along with specific sauce!) she was making--and our dessert plan--he easily recommended an incredible wine that paired perfectly with our meal. It was clear to me why so many regulars seemed to be coming in and out of the shop; his expertise, candor, and warmth made a strong impression on me. I'm looking forward to trying out more of these thoughtfully sourced wines soon.

Visiting Bonde is more than just getting a bottle of wine. Bertil is really talented to find the best kind of wine that fits you while explaining the story behind it.

I've been talking wine with Bertil and even buying wine from him for a few years now. And it is important to appreciate local business and local expertise. If you want to always have a mass market taste and never stray, don't go here. But if you want to experience an expert leading you through the joyful world of wine and taste, matching and upgrading, this is your place and polestar in the Boston market.

Small shop but the owner was friendly and very helpful. Allowed me to taste several options before buying. If I lived in the area I’d frequent this store.

This is the best wine shop in Cambridge / Boston hands down. Bertil lets you try the wine before you buy it, giving you the confidence to buy with conviction. This is a wonderful gem in Harvard sq and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to expand the wine horizons. I also love that they focus on American wine and are even representing east coast producers. Can’t recommend enough!

Selection is unique, service is non parallele! So knowledgeable and knows. H taste and I explore and grow in my wine experience through the owner’s guidance. Plus, the music is the best of any wine store in town !
