I am very happy I stopped in for lunch. What is great is that they have lunch specials and happy hour. A good selection of options to choose from on the menu. I had such a good experience I went back the same day for dinner. Staff was wonderfully pleasant and good time you can tell they enjoy what they do there at the establishment. So for the food lets get it started I ordered the the spicy crab nigiri absolutely too good! Next I ordered the salmon shokupan toast these little toast bites are sooooooooooo good! All the flavors that burst in your mouth great! Last I ordered the hot and spicy blue crab handroll , the lobster handroll and the hot and spicy scallop roll, all bangin! It was a very good experience both times lol! The location I dined at is very small which is small bar dining experience. I will be back for a good time!

We went to celebrate one of my friend's birthday and the staff was outstanding! The chef and the waitress went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. The food and the sake were amazing as well. We had a great variety of sushi for the omakase. Everything was so delicious. One of the best omakase experience that I've had in NYC.

Today we came for the Bondi Sushi’s 8th Bday. The handrolls were $5 each. Spicy Tuna, Scallop and Crab were the best. Some were a good size, others were smaller. It was bar style seating, I prefer to have my own table but overall it was a good experience. I went to their bday 2-3 yrs ago at another loc and it definitely wasn’t as good as this time.

I just came in for a quick bite and I stayed for a while. Mary (MaJo) was amazing. She’s the reason to go back. She is the hostess, waitress and bartender. She makes amazing cocktails. Please order the white lily. The food was really fresh and the place is very clean. Definitely coming again and hopefully Mary will be there.

Extremely disappointed with the spicy tuna crispy rice. I order two orders of the crispy rice and expected a decent sized portion but was met with extremely small and tiny pieces. The fish quality and quantity was less than average. The jalapeño’s were not properly de seeded, making the flavours overpower each other. Also, the rice was not even crispy, it was soggy even after having it freshly fried. For this price do better! Not worth the 30 dollars. If possible I would have rated it 0 stars but I can’t.

Me and my friend went to the $5 hand roll special on Sunday and it was SO GOOD! The service was so nice and the Hot and Spicy Scallop hand roll was phenomenal and not super spicy. They make it right in front of you so it’s very hands on and more of an experience eating than just eating. Also join the rewards program you get a $5 for every $15 you spend which is such a DEAL!

Today I was visiting Bondi sushi “Nolita” I'm on vacation and I went for a walk here. They highly recommended this place. The waitress Valeria was serving me. She was very kind and nice. She recommended surf and turf, which was one of the best dishes and her favorites they had. I really loved it. I'm going to recommend it to all my friends. I like the atmosphere, it has good music, and she also gave me a very good cocktail.

Best handroll deal for a Sunday! Each handroll and drink is only $5, which is an amazing value. I ordered one of everything on the menu, and everything was delicious. The Hot & Spicy Scallop is a must-try — it was the standout for me. Perfect flavor, great price, and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves handrolls — don’t miss it!

AMAZING!! The fish is to die for and the meat just melts in your mouth. I came here with my family and we had to order seconds. The presentation of the food is impressive. The hand rolls are perfect for a single person and are quite elaborate. We came around 12 and stayed till 1, the music, service, and atmosphere was chill and friendly. I definitely recommend coming here!

Meh! Went there the other night with a buddy and just felt like fast food sushi. Crispy rice cakes were premade and looked like they came out of a package and not a single roll stood out as being great or even all that good. Ordered at least price wise one of the more expensive rolls which was the wagyu and lobster surf and turf roll and it was underwhelming and used way too much mayo. Initially we had a waiter come to our table, but then he disappeared for rest of the meal. Then a bit weird that the host took over taking additional orders and doing water, and clearing tables. Something a bit off about the waiter as well when he took our order. After asking us what we want for drinks, comes back 2 mins later and asks what we want for drinks and then we had to restate our food order a couple times before he got it right. Then for a sushi bar, I never actually saw any sushi, meaning part of the thrill of a sushi bar is to see nice slabs of tuna and other fish getting carved up and watching sushi masters do their thing. Nothing like that here. In fact, the only thing we saw, which was also a bit weird was one of the chefs spending literally an hour sharpening a knife. Again, just weird. I think this place might be just OK for take out, but definitely not a higher end sushi joint.

I had lunch a Bondi Sushi and I had an above and beyond experience. First of all, their sushi is great. It's fresh, you have sushi counter seating which is fun and so many options to choose from!! They have 3 lunch specials and I chose the 1 appetizers, 3 nigiri pairs (6 individual pieces), and 2 hand rolls. The O Toro and Scallop are two of my favorites. Plus, the spicy crab stands out and is modestly spicy. I love that they offer a free sake shot and warm hand towel. Thank you Joseph my server, the sushi chef, and Pinky the manager for checking in. I will definitely be returning soon!

Delivery / I ordered a Build Your Own Box and chose 4 different sushi rolls: - Spicy crab - Salmon cucumber - Yellowtail scallion - Tuna avocado It was aiiite. The delivery was quick. And I do like the cute box it came in. However, it doesn't compete with the sushi box I usually get from a different place for $29 which also comes with salad, edamame, awesome sauces, and 4 rolls with fish that's more fresh than Bondi's.

Lame customer service. This location is extremely disorganized. Avoid. Lots of better options out there.

I totally enjoyed the Half & Half box today: mushroom roll, truffle avocado roll, Salmon cucumber roll and shrimp scallion roll. The truffle avocado is especially delicious and a unique combination. So fresh and tasty! Highly recommended! Update: I also tried the Bondi's Best: the crab rolls are especially good. I agree that the truffle avocado roll is among their best. Love the shrimp avocado roll too. Not that crazy about the salmon roll though. They should try to improve on the salmon or put something else as their best.

I've been here a couple of times and it's always been a pleasure. I always make reservations for dinner but it's surprisingly not packed each time. Staff are very welcoming and once we were given complimentary sake. I had the crispy rice, hand rolls and Omakase. Fish is fresh and delicious. Been affordable. Will be back!

I appreciate their 5 handrolls for $40 menu. You can pick 2 of the same handrolls and even the $12 ones. It's a great deal. Unfortunately, uni was not on the menu and it's not part of the offer. Their lobster Handroll also looks nothing like the one they posted on Instagram. The one on Instagram was a whole lobster claw sitting on top of a miso leaf and a bed of rice. That's what brought me here. But the one I got in real life was chopped lobster meat with mayo I guess. I don't like mayo. The wagyu Handroll was alright. The salmon ikura Handroll has very little ikura. The seaweed was very good; crispy and easy to bite off. I used to like Bondi a lot more. The first time I ever went to Bondi was in 2019. It looked like a regular American sushi place but they served real crab meat for the blue crab roll. How I know? Because I found crab shell in my sushi, and I was delighted at the time. I hope future experiences will be better. P.S. there's no where to hang your coats and they don't take cash

We love sushi so we went here to see what their lunch special was! we got sashimi, nigiri and a handroll and split it between two of us. We got the seared tuna tataki (Delicious), seared o toro and hot and spicy blue crab. All delicious and just enough since I didn't want a lot (If you are very hungry I suggest you gt the next size up in the lunch specials! We sat at the bar and had a leisurely lunch. Sushi is so fabulous when it is fresh and it was! It's a small place which was nice and not crowded - my only reason I gave it a 4 is because the bathroom could've used some freshening up!

If you know nothing about me, know the following: a) I like sushi though I don't consider myself a true connoisseur b) I like a good deal and c) I like finding new places near where I'm already heading to. With this in mind, I found about the Bondi sushi chain due to their location in Nomad where the sample sales happen. I was looking for a happy hour to do solo and bondi fit the bill. The same applies to this location in Nolita/Soho. I have only dined in at Bondi so I wasn't aware they had cut rolls until Natty (the person who took my order) was telling people that cut rolls were for to go orders only. For the dine-in experience, they focus on nigiri and hand rolls which are pretty fresh in my opinion. It is made to order so you would see the sushi chef make your hand roll or nigiri in front of your face. I also like the combos they do in flavors like seared otoro with truffle salt, or the sea scallop with lime. Other than the general nice people who worked there, there is also the relatively small and quiet environment of the place (most seating surrounds the sushi counter expect the 2-3 tables outside). It is not the bustling restaurant you have on a casual night with a boatload or friends nor it is the $200 omakase you have for a big occasion. It is somewhere in the middle which is okay. For those who look for a good deal, my best advice is to go on a weekday from 4-5:30 pm. That way you can experience the lunch options and happy hour which have the best options. With lunch you choose between 3 different prices to get a combination of appetizer, a selection of nigiri and a handroll. And you can choose whatever they have on the menu! Have I chosen a wagyu or a lobster handroll that would cost $14 or $12 by itself with an otoro nigiri. Multiple times. With the happy hour menu you can buy handrolls for 5 bucks plus cheap drinks. Which is a win win. Plus they have crispy rice on the menu. You might be able to find better fish elsewhere or even cheaper deals but I think of this place as a happy medium and a dependable option if you are in the area. Especially if you come at the right time.

this review is for takeout ONLY. i got a spicy tuna rice bowl on mealpal which was really easy to grab and go for lunch. i showed the workers my mealpal app and they told me which shelf to pick it up from, overall process took less than 2 minutes. unfortunately for the price, i didn't really see how this was different than regular poke bowls, with the exception of the fish tasting a bit more fresh and there clearly being a lot of care when plating the bowl. i will say that they mean SPICY when they say spicy tuna. i'm not really good with spice and thought it would be an average spicy level, but it kind of killed me and my coworker was just hearing me sniffle the entire lunch time LOL i don't think this is a bowl i would try again from bondi, but i'm looking forward to trying out some of their rolls in the future!

Absolutely DELIGHTFUL lunch spot. The lunch special is a great value and the bites were so high quality & fresh. 10/10 sushi in Soho. The sushi chef is clearly passionate about his craft and you can taste it through and through. I highly recommend you dine here!

I came by Bondi for International Sushi Day ($5 hand rolls). This is a great deal for rolls that are normally around $8. I ordered the yellowtail scallion, seared unagi avocado, hot & spicy blue crab, and lobster. They were all good! Some of the fish portions seemed a bit on the small side though, so I'm not sure I would've been as satisfied had I been paying full price. The service was very nice, but it felt rushed. It may have been an abnormal experience, given that they were packed with reservations for International Sushi Day. Even so, each slot was for 45 minutes, and we were finished in just over 30 minutes because our next order of hand roll would come before we were finished the previous one - which isn't ideal for hand rolls since you're meant to eat them as soon as they're made so the seaweed wrap stays crispy. Overall, I felt this was a solid spot. I'm not sure that I'd make a specific trip out here (especially at full price given my rushed experience), but if I was craving hand rolls and was nearby, I'd consider returning.

This place is close to office so I went there twice. They have 3 lunch special choices and I did the $34 one which I think is a very good deal. I can choose either one appetizer or a sashimi and two nigiri plus two hand rolls. Food is fresh and delicious. Service was great too.

Bad delivery experience. Uber Eats quoted 10-20 min but order took an hour to be delivered. And when I arrived looked like it had been through a lot! Also food was not as described - tuna crispy rice dish, rice wasn't crispy at all. Also soup was placed on top of cold sushi in the bag - making it warm. Overall food wasn't that great and delivery experience sucked. I wouldn't order from here again.

Amazing sushi lunch set deal! We got the set with 6 nigiri, appetizer, and 2 handrolls. You get to mix and match 3 different types of nigiri, so I chose the seared wagyu, seared otoro, and toro caviar! For my appetizer, I got the yellowtail jalapeno but tried my friend's scallop. For my handrolls, I got the spicy crab and the lobster yuzu. Honestly, for the value set, I was super satisfied with the meal and the yummy food! Everything tasted great and the ambiance was great! The manager was very nice and welcoming so great service. All around great value set dining experience - come for lunch!

No longer sushi I loved. Sad to get smaller than a dime sized portion of avocado in my salmon avocado roll. If I wanted only salmon, i could have gotten that for cheaper. Literal pea size on the top side of the roll for appearances, there was none on the other end of the sushi... I could not taste the avocado. And sadly they did away with the best part of the salmon avocado roll which was the truffle oil avocado... it's just plain overpriced tasteless pea sized avocado. Extremely disappointed customer.

Went here for lunch after easily securing a reservation the day before. They had a lot of availability which is nice. We enjoyed our lunch for $32 and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the fish. Also had fun watching the sushi chefs making the order. Overall would def come back again. We'll worth the price for good quality sushi!

Solid takeout sushi! This was my first time trying Bondi and overall I thought the rolls were filling and tasted very fresh. I was also in and out within 10 minutes with my takeout order which was great because I was in a hurry! I opted for the Build Your Own box - it's four rolls for $25 (four pieces in each roll). I tried the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, yellowtail scallion, and salmon avocado. I also added on a side of spicy mayo. Overall I think for the sushi quality and portion size it's a good deal! I'm glad I ordered a side sauce because they barely gave me any wasabi. I don't think I've ever seen such a small portion. That was my only notable complaint. Otherwise, the sushi was delicious - especially the yellowtail scallion roll. I'll come again next time I'm in the area!

The Sushi Chefs here are really good, and this is a good value for your $$. The fish is super fresh and well prepared, All the nigiri I ordered had that "melt in your mouth" sensation. (Good fish, cut and prepared well I will make this a normal spot on my Sushi favorites list...definite winner!

Honestly, my friend and I didn't have plan to go to Bondi. We were just do some business around the area then she got very hungry so we were craving for raw fish. It was a bit walk in a windy Sunday evening to the restaurant but we made it to the place. It is a contemporary and modern vibe place. We both had Omakase 12 pieces nigiri tasting menu and some appetizers. Most of the time we always order wine when we eat out but for fish we decided to get "Suigei Drunken Whale" instead. Service was good and fishes were fresh and pretty good quality. My friend actually told me after we left the place that many of her friend came to this restaurant before and they all like it. We didn't try handroll because we were already full but definitely, we will come back next time for that. Recommended!

Best Sushi Lunch Deal in NYC! I almost don't want to write this review, so I could keep this great deal to myself. This is a fast-casual maki (rolls) restaurants with an expanding sushi bar that services high-quality nigiri as well right in Nolita. They are currently doing a $20, $23, and $30 lunch special for dine-in only from 11am - 5:30pm every single day. The $30 lunch special includes edamame, 1 appetizer, 8 pieces of nigiri, and 2 handrolls. You can choose from Chu-Toro (medium fat tuna), Oh-Toro (fatties tuna), and even A5 Wagyu. Where else can you get Oh-Toro and A5 Wagyu sushi for just $30? And there is no limit! You can order all 8 pieces of wagyu if that is what you like. I had ordered Salmon Sashimi, 8 Nigiri (1 Yellowtail Scallion, 1 Seared Scallop, 1 Botan Ebi, 2 Chu Toro, 2 Oh Toro, and 1 Wagyu), and 2 Handrolls (1 Hot & Spicy Blue Crab and 1 Wagyu). The salmon sashimi was very fresh with a dash of ponzu sauce and sesame seeds. The nigiris are also very fresh, but I was not a fan of the sear on the scallop or the toro pieces. However, I still enjoy the butteriness of the toro. I I highly recommend the wagyu nigiri, which is topped with black truffle sauce/salt and melts in your mouth. The two handrolls were also exceptional. The blue crab handroll was made with quality blue crab and three different roes. Highly recommend the blue crab and wagyu. My boyfriend had ordered Yellowtail Jalapeno sashimi, 8 Nigiri (1 Unagi/Eel, 2 Chu Toro, 2 Oh Toro, and 3 Wagyu), and 2 Handrolls (Both Wagyu). The yellowtail jalapeno was also one of my favorite bites. I normally don't eat jalapenos, but this was just amazing! You don't really get the heat and spiciness, just the perfect contrast to the yellowtail. Highly highly recommend getting the yellowtail jalapeno as an appetizer. Shoutout to Bradley, our server! He was very sweet and nice. The chef was also amazing and friendly. He went through each piece along with what sauce was paired with it. I will definitely coming back here (every day if I can) before this lunch deal is over.

Stopped by here for a quick lunch and ordered the $38 lunch special - it comes with 1 appetizer or sashimi (6 pieces), 6 nigiri pieces, and 2 hand rolls. We also ordered lobster yuzu and spicy tuna crispy rice. Delicious food, great service, and amazing prices for high quality sushi - the lunch special was a great deal and came with a good amount of food.

Get the tuna crispy rice!!!! It was so good. Good size rolls and cute packaging for takeout. Yellowtail jalapeño could've been spicier but overall pretty solid for takeout.

cute, small restaurant.. Loved the ambiance .. took myself on a solo date on a Monday Night One Itamae behind the bar & one host. Miso Soup was average, like anywhere else The O Toro Nigiri on cauliflower rice (an accommodation they made for me) was incredible !! So buttery, flavorful, delicious .. The presentation was pretty... & I enjoyed it v much!! I also got the yellowtail jalapeño appetizer which was good.. loved the quality & the o toro was delicious !!

Walked in for a late lunch around 3pm and it was a great experience. The salmon sashimi and the tuna chip appetizers were easily the best items I tried. It was better than omakase since you're able to pick the combinations of sushi you'd like to have instead of mostly being surprised everytime. Definitely try the tuna chip because the chips were pretty substantial while being very crunchy and just a bit salty to add texture to the tuna. The unagi was grilled to perfection and the salmon ikura handroll was tasty with the ikura changing the flavor profile a bit. The salmon sashimi had a delicious sauce to dip the salmon, which was out of control. Would definitely come back for the 2 appetizers even if I couldn't have any Nigiri or handrolls.

Ordered the Shrimp N' Salmon bowl for delivery and was so pleasantly surprised by the portion size and proportion of seafood to other toppings! The food was fresh and flavorful. And the size - oh the size! Definitely worth the heftier cost for this kind of meal. I could've easily split this into two average size meals or three small ones. I'm eager to try their actual sushi sometime in the future. Their delivery packaging was also very nice, sturdy, and felt high-end.

I ordered in Bondi sushi with a friend from the Nolita location and it did not disappoint! We ordered the Classic Catch box, Hotbox, and a mushroom roll. Each box had great variety that included 4 different rolls with 4 pieces each including ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. The fish was so fresh and the rolls were very big! We especially enjoyed the yellowtail scallion roll and salmon avocado roll that came with the classic box. Our favorite from the Hotbox were the spicy salmon and spicy tuna. However, all rolls were super delicious! I highly recommend this for quality sushi at a great price point.

The first location in NYC started off just serving fast-casual Maki, but this new one is doing a full Omakase with nigiri, and it's excellent. Not only is it delicious and high quality, but it's a steal at just $60 for 12 pieces. Of course given current times, it's just outdoor seating right now with very few bar seats, and partitions between each party. If you can snag a seat, definitely try the excellent Omakase, or at least some hand rolls a la carte.

This is a sushi chain that has slowly but surely expanded in Manhattan over the years. This particular location has a sit down restaurant portion as well as a take out counter next door. I ordered several rolls for take out: spicy blue crab, salmon jalapeno, shrimp avocado, and yellowtail scallion. They have a build your own box option for $23 which was what I ordered, and the salmon avocado was $10.25. The packaging and overall presentation is quite cute, reminds me of all the other cute bougie fast casual sushi chain to-go boxes (e.g. sugarfish, kazunori). The crab and shrimp rolls were quite good and fresh. The salmon jalapeño roll was what caught me off guard. I assumed it would be fresh jalapeño but they used the pickled/jarred kind (the ones you'd find on top of nachos). The flavor wasn't horrible but I think I'd skip this one next time. Another pet peeve I have with sashimi/sushi is when they don't cut across the grain, and you sometimes end up spitting out (sorry I know, gross) the entire bite of fish because there's a long string of fiber. This was the case with the yellowtail roll. Overall I still would recc this place as your next sushi take out option!

It's pretty expensive for pretty small portions, but what we did order tasted good, so there's that at least. Seating is limited around the bar with parties squeezed up next to each other. I got a cocktail, two hand rolls, and split crispy rice with my friend, which ended up at around $45-50 that'll leave you nowhere near full. The hand rolls in particular surprised me with how small they were. The scallop and toro hand rolls were pretty good.

Perfect as always. Such a staple for the area and a hidden gem! Lunch special is crazy good. Love coming here for fresh tasty sushi!

Made a reservation online for International Sushi Day and our seats were ready when we got there. We sat at the bar so we could watch the hand rolls being made. I got the toro, yellow tail, crab, and unagi. They were all pretty good but the unagi had some bones in it. The service of getting the actual hand rolls was pretty fast considering there were only two people making them but getting a servers attention to pay was a bit time consuming since they were all in a corner talking to each other.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this location. I eat at another Bondi location almost on a weekly basis and have always had great experiences. However, when I placed my to-go order here for a salmon avocado + avocado cucumber build-your-own box with scallions added, the staff did not know how to go about making it, and shouted among themselves in the kitchen for almost 10 minutes trying to figure it out. The order itself was poorly rolled and falling apart, the avocado was black and extremely soft, and the cucumbers were completely missing. I called the restaurant back to let them know, and the staff seemed unconcerned and not at all apologetic. They offered me a "free mochi" next time I came in, but made no effort to compensate me in any other way. For $28.85, I expect much better quality sushi.

Favorite sushi restaurant around. This place is always consistent with their quality and provide a great dinner night out. The staff is so friendly and engaging as well. They remembered my fiancées food allergies even after a couple months in between visits. We literally come here at least 3x a month since then. It's a literal crime that this place isn't rated higher.

Look, listen, I love sushi. We came by for my birthday so I was plenty excited because it's been a long while since I've had a decent piece of sushi since covid. We had two omakase and four hand rolls. The rolls were good, salmon ikura is the favorite and the truffle avocado being my new found taste combo favorite. However, the reason why I'm not giving this place a better rating is because I was chewing a piece of fish that had some fiber I could not bite. I spat it out to find a bit of paper towel. Yes, there was tissue in my omakase. The sushi chef saw me struggle and once I informed him of the non-fish content, he said, "Sorry, I couldn't see." We didn't get a chance to tell the waiter because they weren't around despite it being a slow afternoon but I also didn't want to put up a fight on my birthday so we paid the bill and left shortly after I got that surprise in my nigiri.

This is now my favorite sushi restaurant in New York City! The hand rolls were delicious, favorite is the lobster and crab. I came during the evening for a dinner reservation and the ambience was amazing as well with great music an amazing service

I had no idea sushi here would be so different and delicious ! During COVID we decided that we wanted to come here to pick up a box. For the pictures of course! The box it comes with is super cute We ordered spicy tuna, crab roll, truffle avocado, and the mushroom trifecta. I had no idea now good avocado and truffle can be together ! It's so simple but so good ! I seriously crave this combination sometimes. Their non fish rolls are super delicious and something different to try. Everything we order was wonderful!

The sushi tasted good but my main disappointment is their sushi slices are super thin and small. For the price point it was a disappointment considering other sushi restaurants at the same price are more generous with the amount of fish they give. The photo attached was a miso tuna crisp which I thought was fantastic though. The nigiri was mainly where they were lacking in portion.

They have an amazing lunch special! Everything was so good. I opted for the special with 4 nigiris, 2 handrolls, and 1 appetizer. I cannot recommend the wagyu handrolls enough! So delicious and my overall experience at the restuarant was awesome. The service was fast and it was great to be able to watch our plates being made by the chef. 10/10 recommend!

The smallest nigiri I've ever seen. They take a single piece worth of fish and cut it in half. Suddenly it's "two pieces per order." And if that's not crazy enough, they even skimp on the rice so the nigiri doesn't look as small! Incredible...

The experience was so pleasant so a clean calm environment where they make your order right in front of you. I had the yellowtail Jalapeño as well as a couple of hand rolls.

High quality fish! Tried the ebi botan (shrimp) and they were sweet and fresh. Also tried the o toro, blue crab, and two rounds of the 5 hand roll combo. Everything was delicious, especially the o toro! Biggest letdown was the wagyu hand roll. It's the most expensive on the menu so we had high hopes for this but found that we couldn't really taste the wagyu under all the sweet sauce they added (reminded me of eel sauce). Would come here often if price were not a consideration, especially for the ebi botan, blue crab roll, and toro. Kazu nori seems to carry similar hand rolls (but I don't think I've had blue crab there) for a more affordable experience if you're a student like me :)

Will preface by saying that I love the NoMad location, always great. This was awful - both the yellowtail and spicy tuna crispy rice dishes were piping hot, fish fully cooked / hard to the touch. Tuna roll was barely pink and fishy smelling. Would not recommend this location, however, it is really good at the NoMad location off of 28th
