I rarely have good veggie burgers but this is one of the places that hits the spots! Man the veggie burger is awesome and amazing! We ordered the heater veggie burger and it was HOT! I eat pretty spicy and this was beyond my spice levels too! It was so darn amazing! The Parmesan fries were another amazing bowl of wonderful potatoes! The price is a bit high but definitely worth every single penny. Will be coming back again to try a different variation of the veggie burger.

Wow! Brian the server was exceptional and the 100% grass fed and finished was delicious. Im a food snob and have high standards for sweet potato fries—THE BEST. Plus homemade ketchup and other side sauces! Atmosphere here was great on a Friday 4pm. Calm and peaceful. The place is creative and has good humor within the decor.

Google
My husband and I ate here for the first time yesterday and oh my goodness hands down best burgers in Ohio 10 out of 10 would recommend! The food is amazing, all made in house so yummy and so fresh. You can choose your burger size so you don't have to worry about if you are going to have to eat too much or walk away hungry. The chef cooked mine perfect as medium rare and my husband's medium. If you don't want one of their specialty burgers they have create your own, but the specialty ones are absolutely tasty and tye flavors go so well together. We had the parmesan fries with fresh parmesan and they stayed crispy through the entire meal! The staff so sweet! We could have stayed and talked for hours, we even met Bob! We cannot wait to go back.

You haven’t had a real burger until you’re had one from Bones Burgers. Food was amazing and staff/service was great. Very friendly and attentive. Great gluten free options also (gluten free fryer for fries & gluten free chicken tendrss) including Sonny Marie’s buns and bread. Don’t walk, run to Bones Burgers!

Google
Stopped in for a late lunch and absolutely loved the PB&J burger and the Farm burger. The house made ketchup was delicious and so were the Parmesan fries. Our waiter, Nate was extremely helpful and very nice to chat with. We will definitely be back to try more burgers on the menu.

Google
What a hidden gem! The staff was super friendly and helpful for our first time and the waitress definitely got us hooked on the white chili. Best white chili I have ever had! Fantastic burger as well!

Google
This place has made my list of noteable burgers across the country. Super tasty patties. Actual craft burgers without unnecessary fluff. The staff and clientele are a delight. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Cincinnati!

Google
The turkey burger I had was AMAZING! The variety of fixings that could go on top in addition to the "traditional ones" made for a creative bite! Our server Nate, was friendly, inviting, knowledgeable and just fun! Hands down, THE BEST turkey burger we have ever had! Tasted like homemade patties on the grill on the 4th of July ( we were able to see into the kitchen, they were! Lol) YUMMY!

Yelp
I stopped in very close to closing time and was welcomed with open arms. Very good food. I had the chicken chili and the Parmesan fries and they were very good. Hit the spot.

Yelp
Small restaurant with a bar. Decently clean but I did wet wipe our table and there's a dirty dish water scent lingering. Music is low which is great. Service is very friendly, even the cook came out to ask if we liked our burgers which was nice. California Roll burger (1/4) and Aloha burger (1/2) were cooked properly at medium. The avocado on my burger wasn't fresh but it was edible. The flavor of the aloha was really nice. I still prefer smashed burgers because I could taste the gristle in these burgers a lot and I don't get that in a smashed burger from somewhere like Krueger's. Bones is not my favorite burger patty in the city that's for sure. We did order a shareable white chicken chili fries and they were really good. Hot and fresh and the fries mostly maintained a good crispiness. Overall it was good but nothing I would rush back for.

Yelp
Pretty good burger. Fresh ingredient's. Homemade ketchup was really good & flavorful. It was a small homey space & friendly staff.

Yelp
Just had lunch at Bones' Burgers, and I'll definitely be back soon and often. I had the Smoker burger. It was perfect. I mean PERFECT. The patty was a juicy medium rare, as ordered, with bacon, cheese, jalapeños, and a house sauce that was terrific. Bun to meat ratio was spot on, and the fries were thin-cut and crispy served with a house ketchup that is a must. I've been in Cincinnati for 4 years, and this is the best burger I've had here. The service was super nice and friendly. And the music added a good vibe that I really enjoyed.

Yelp
Great place with great service! It is small but has lots of good choices. We had the California Roll burger, Parm fries and the Not a Burger #1 salad. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. The salad had lots of toppings with fresh mixed greens. Make sure to try it out the next time you are in the area.

Yelp
We were greeted the second we walked in and everything just got better. The service was great and the food was even better. Everything was prepared correctly and seasoned nicely. I didn't need salt, pepper, or any condiments for this meal. They nailed it!

Yelp
This restaurant is known for high quality burgers with unusual toppings. Think sauerkraut, Granny Smith apples, microgreens. etc. I visited here for lunch before heading out on a long drive to Tennessee during a recent business trip. Service was fast and efficient since the waiter talks fast and even brings the food out fast. I ordered the 1/2 lb Farm burger since that was supposedly the best seller. My colleague indicated he wasn't that hungry so he ordered a 1/4 lb burger, I don't remember which specialty one. The burgers we ordered are basically night and day since mine was thick and juicy since I ordered the largest size and medium rare. His was tiny and thin and dry since he ordered the smallest size cooked medium well. He kept complaining the next 5 hours how bad the burger was but I kept raving how delicious and beefy my burger tasted. The parmesean fries were alright but I've had better. I chose a craft root beer in a bottle since it was one I've never tried before and it was really good. This review is based on my experience only, therefore I give them 4 stars. I always tell people to stick to the thicker patties because you get better flavor and they tend to be juicier as well. In this case, it was true.

Yelp
Bones is a sweet little farm to table type restaurant. We have frequently met friends there for dinner as well as had woke lunches there. Staff is great, wonderful service and the food is awesome. One of our favorites

Yelp
I was craving a burger when I remembered I had this place saved. It seemed like a good day to finally give it a try. At first, I was a bit suspicious because it was dark outside and the dimly lit plaza looked abandoned. But once I stepped inside, I had a good feeling. The restaurant has a cozy, homey vibe, with lots of cow-themed decor that adds a fun touch to the atmosphere. Here are my reviews of the dishes I ordered: *The Suki Jane, ¼ lb ($16) - This was the cutest burger! I ordered the patty medium-rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The pimento cheese paired with the fried green tomato was absolutely delicious. Although it's on the smaller side for a burger (in my opinion), it's packed with flavor. However, I was still a bit hungry after finishing it, which was a little disappointing considering the price. *Parmesan Cheese Fries, shared portion ($7) - I wasn't expecting such a huge bowl of fries. The shared portion really gives you a generous amount. They're simple but tasty. Nothing too fancy, but definitely satisfying. Service was fast, and the waiter was kind. I thought it was sweet that as I was leaving, the chef called out to ask how I liked the food. Little gestures like that make me want to return. Although I found the food to be a bit pricey, it was delicious, and I would come back to support a local business.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this place! I brought my boyfriend to my hometown and he mentioned he was in the mood for a burger for lunch. I checked on Yelp and saw Bones' Burgers with their high amount of favorable reviews and decided to check it out. We were both glad we stopped by! The menu has a really cool listing of burgers, some ingredients seemed unique (in a good way!). I was definitely intrigued. I had The Annie Oakley, which included Granmy Smith apple slices, applewood smoked bacon, spicy BBQ sauce, and extra sharp cheddar and it was delicious! I opted not to get the sautéed onions that it usually comes with. My boyfriend ordered a bowl of chili, which had a nice kick to it. I definitely will order the chili next time that I am here. I got a side of Sweet Potato fries, which were also really good. Every employee we talked to was kind, friendly, and really funny. They had a lot of cow decor throughout the restaurant. I was happy to support a small business in the area and hope to try more burgers here whenever I am in Cincinnati.

Shawn B.

Yelp
Very friendly waitress. Burger was decent but way overpriced and fries weren't included. Priced like I was eating at a 5 star steak restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Against two very good competitors within a short radius (Bru Burger and Stone Creek), Bones maintains my vote as the best burger in Cincinnati. Everything on their menu is impeccably crafted and masterfully executed. If you haven't been here, you are missing out.
google avatar

Rich R.

Yelp
Food is AWESOME! Everyone there is so kind and I love to talk to them. For all the kids the grilled cheese is the BEST on the planet. Such a great place to have some burgers and grilled cheese.

Yelp
This might be my favorite burger in Cincinnati. No matter what burger I order off the menu, I know it's going to be delicious. They are consistent with their food and the service is top notch. After visiting only two times, the waitress remembered us, and continues to chat and have fun with us whenever we come. She makes the experience even better. We also love seeing Bones - the owner and chef. The place is small and simple - not very fancy and flashy, but it doesn't need that. It's the definition of a hidden gem - it's in a strip mall and not very close to the road. Easy to miss if you're just passing through. But I make sure that any time someone comes to visit me in Cincinnati, or if someone asks me for a recommendation, I always tell them Bones. This time I got the Alpine burger, but my favorite is the Wake-up Burger (currently a special that will be added to their menu full time). Also make sure to order a basket of Parmesan fries - a small is good for two people. Make sure to try their homemade ketchup as well. As someone who is kinda a ketchup snob, it's genuinely great.

Yelp
Simple and down to earth place to get a burger, while still being meticulous and mindful about the food and atmosphere. The servers are quick and good at what they do. The food was straightforward and delicious, with no-frills, high quality burgers and well-curated taps.

Yelp
Great burgers and fries. Bones' Burgers at 9721 Montgomery Road. My wife and I stopped in for a snack of their Parmesan fries and liked the people and the food. They have a set of burgers they sell in three different sizes and your choice of meat: salmon, turkey, grass-fed beef or veggie. They also make an excellent homemade smoky ketchup and homemade ranch dressing that were great on the fries. We haven't had their burgers yet, but we really liked the place and will be back. The waitress and owner were friendly and helpful. Great service!
google avatar

Feliks A.

Yelp
Probably the best burger I have ever had. The place was nice and clean and offered outdoor seating.
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Was I shocked at the $66 bill for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 beers? Yes. Will that stop me from coming again? No. (To be fair, the 2 beers were considered "premium" and were $8 each) The service was great. There was a great selection of burgers and you can order each at a different size. (1/4lb, 1/3lb, 1/2lb). We both left feeling delightfully full. Everything about the burgers were delicious. We got one sweet potato fry and one parmesan fry and i honestly loved them both. I asked for them both well done expecting them to ignore it. Especially for the sweet potato fries, but they didn't and my fries were perfect. For that reason I would choose sweet potato fries next time. Bonus points for all of their collaborations with other local businesses.
google avatar

David J.

Yelp
Definitely in my top 3 burger joints of all time, both the food and the staff! The house ketchup is the best I've had anywhere.

John M.

Yelp
Great place. The owners play an active role, waiting on customers and answering any questions. The burgers are great and the fries are awesome. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
I walked in and felt like I was on the set of cheers (except they didn't know my name lol). I opened the door and was immediately greeted a hello and welcome by 2 of the workers. That really left a positive impression! The waitress was really nice and immediately took my order. I ordered the Alpine burger and Parmesan fries to go. It didn't take long to get my order. The food was really good.
google avatar

Tom K.

Yelp
Another amazing burger experience! Great food, great service. The PBJ burger was perfect. Thank you.

Eileen D.

Yelp
Great food, great service. A family member has celiac disease and Bones really knows how to make a delicious burger with no gluten or cross contamination. Always friendly and the food is delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
The place is adorable! Cows everywhere! We were greeted right away, she took time to walk us through the entire menu. I had the aloha burger, my son had the spicy burger.( I don't remember the name of it) both were cooked perfectly. Things people don't usually notice that I noticed.: the interaction between employees was wonderful. Everyone spoke to each other with such kindness. Very nice to see. Definitely a place to visit!

Ryan S.

Yelp
I have never left a review in my life, bones burgers was nothing short of respectful and kind. I noticed they were preparing a table for a table of 7 and made sure that the legs of the table were properly balanced so everyone was comfortable. I felt welcomed as soon as I came in and they made sure to make sure I was doing ok. I got "the smoker" and their homemade ketchup was absolutely delicious. I will absolutely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
I really love Bones. It is probably close to my son's favorite. He is till stuck on a place that starts with a Mc, so I don't always trust his opinion, but I do agree with him on Bones. It had been a while since we actually went inside. Possibly prior to 2020, but we had ordered from them a few times. We all love the atmosphere. Although the cow in the corner on the right really looks like it might be questioning what you are eating. Don't judge me cow! Cow picture aside, the inside is wonderful. The theme really fits what the restaurant is there for. To sell you great burgers and a couple beers if you want. Service is always great when we do go inside, which is not often enough. Get some take out or stop in for a local beer. Bones has a burger for anyone and will not disappoint.
google avatar

Cherilyn M.

Yelp
How have I not been here during my frequent visits to Cincinnati. Their burgers are so simple but perfectly seasoned and placed on delicious buns. They also offer GF buns. Their "famous" hand cut Parmesan fries definitely live up to the hype. The atmosphere feels like a local favorite with cow pictures decorating the restaurant. Their popularity started as a food truck. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
This is our new favorite burger place! The owner was so friendly, and it accommodated our various dietary needs, including one vegan and one gluten allergy. The veggie burger is delicious. It's homemade, with black beans, rice and veggies. My sister said the gluten-free bun is one of the best she's ever had. (The staff asked if the GF was an allergy or preference, which is a great sign they're paying attention and taking precautions!) Try their BBQ sauce on the sweet potato fries! It adds a really nice kick (if you're OK with honey)!
google avatar

Ann S.

Yelp
Really great burgers! And the fries: Crispy, shoe string potatoes with a dust of Parmesan! I had the Alpine burger and hubby had the Phatty Patty burger (guess we were both in a Swiss cheese kind of mood). Both were delicious. House made ketchup was a nice touch. Hubby also had a beer (improv I think?) and was happy. Good quick dinner and super tasty burgers. Friendly staff. Simple restaurant with a small bar located in small strip mall sort of tucked away - you won't notice it unless you know about it or are looking on purpose.
google avatar

Carolynne P.

Yelp
I absolutely love this burger place. It is a small venue, but the food is exceptional and the service is fantastic. A lot of unique options. Even has great choices for dessert. Highly recommend. Note- not open on Mondays. And look out for when they do events- they are always a good time.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
Delicious beef! Might be the best hamburger that I have ever had. Got the "Farm Burger" to go, waited for just a minute or two in the old wood bar-like hole-in-the-wall space to pick it all up. Brought out hot, along with parmigiana fries. All fantastic.

Yelp
I realized recently that I've not reviewed one of my favorite restaurants, Bones Burgers, so I am going to remedy that here now. I found Bones Burgers in their first iteration as a food truck several years ago. Bones truck stops quickly became appointment dining. Whether I was grabbing lunch at an office park near my job or hanging with friends at a local brewery, Bones was on my radar and I went as often as I could. Bones went brick and mortar after building a strong and devoted following of burger fans and even had 2 locations at one point. The reason for that devotion? Great burgers. Bones prides himself on serving local ingredients and delicious grass fed beef. Starting with strong fundamentals is key to a good burger. And Bones has that down. With quality grass fed beef as a base Bones built a variety of standard burgers with delicious fresh toppings. The basics are all here. Lettuce, tomato, onion. Then things get interesting. Sautéed onions. Grilled jalapeños. Pineapple. Apple. Eggs. Bacon. Homemade ketchup and BBQ sauce. Choose a quarter, third, or half pound patty then choose from a list of about 15 recommended burgers with a variety of exciting toppings or customize your own burger to your liking. My reco? The Farm Burger. A classic "breakfast burger", this is the gold standard on Bones menu. Egg anyway you want it. Bacon. Pepperjack cheese. Applewood smoked bacon. Get the burger medium well or less or face Bones wrath. (I've had everything from medium to well done and it's always perfect). The burgers themselves are delicious. Juicy. Tasty. A little sweet. Not a chain burger or a pre pattied grocery store burger. These are obviously fresh and the grass fed makes a real difference in taste and texture. Burgers are properly diapered in wax paper and delivered hot and fresh. The toppings are high quality and delicious as well. Sides? Well you got parm fries and sweet potato fries. Just get both. The sweet potato fries are a little spicy but still sweet, tender and cooked perfectly. The parm fries are tossed with parmesan cheese and are a perfect compliment to your burger. Oh, if there's a special on the board, get it. I should probably talk about my friend Bones himself. I've known him since his food truck days. He's salty and cantankerous. He's always up to talk to customers in a spirited manner. His personality is part of the experience. I've seen some take him the wrong way, don't. He's making a product he's proud of and delivers each burger with a side of good natured sass. Hell, I I love this place and the dude so much my kid worked there for a bit. So, tl;dr. Bones Burgers is good. Really good. Certainly one of the top burgers in the city and probably my favorite burger in town. Great entrees, delicious sides, and a bit of attitude from a hard working owner. Go support local. You won't regret it.
google avatar

Shannon J.

Yelp
Not my first trip to get a burger but it has been a while. Still delicious...the Farm burger. Parmesan fries. Staff was welcoming and friendly. It's a small space, but that's ok. Need to go back again sooner this time!
google avatar

Rae T.

Yelp
If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! I had the PB&J burger and chili cheese fries (with white chicken chili. " Absolutely outstanding!! Can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Greg G.

Yelp
Excellent grassfed burgers, highly recommend the sweet potato fries. Everything was as expexted.

Suzanne K.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and found a great casual spot for a yummy homemade burger! I had the BYO and parmesan fries. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Lane C.

Yelp
Cozy atmosphere with delicious burgers. Lots of toppings to choose from and high quality burgers. Friendly and attentive service. Cheers from your new ambassador!

John E.

Yelp
Solid. I had the Heater and fries. Service was good too. Can't go wrong at Bones. I will return for sure.
google avatar

Jen I.

Yelp
It was delicious and cannot wait to return! Staff are amazing and the selection of beers is awesome!
google avatar

Marisa C.

Yelp
Solid burgers that are cooked to your liking. I've tried several of the burgers including the alpine and suki jane! I also appreciate being able to order your burger in 3 different sizes-- my go to is the 1/4 lb size burger. Fries are also really tasty. I've tried their sweet potato and regular fries without Parmesan. I would say the food is solid, I appreciate the casual atmosphere and the service is okay. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is cost. For a burger and splitting a small fry with another person it costs roughly $17. There's other options in Cincinnati that are cheaper and equal in quality.

Michael B.

Yelp
Great burgers and Parmesan fries. Several beers on tap all local brews. Friendly staff. This was a wonderful find.
google avatar

Josh G.

Yelp
Hidden gem back off of Montgomery road. The owners were there when we came in and were extremely friendly. Real family-vibe, everyone was awesome. The burgers were all delicious as well. You could tell the patties were formed fresh in house. House made ranch, super delicious with an awesome fresh dill flavor. House made smoked ketchup, also incredible. You know it's good when they're nailing the house made sauces!!
google avatar

Ashley T.

Yelp
We are from out of town, and LOVED this restaurant! We had the Farm burger and a burger with pimento cheese, and both were delicious. The burger itself was delicious and the toppings were fresh. We also had the Parmesan fries and those were great as well. The staff was friendly and took great care of us. It's a cute little shop too. We will be back when we're in town!
google avatar

Farrah S.

Yelp
The burgers were cooked perfect. We got the California burger, heat burger, and hash burger. Service was attentive and exceptional. Finished it off with a spice cake. Also this place makes their own ketchup!!! Amazing and coming back again :) thank u!
google avatar

Dale H.

Yelp
Still love the food and service here!! Ordered the alpine burger but switched out the swiss for cheddar. Yummy mushrooms and onions. Hubby loved his California roll burger with goat cheese, avo, and micro greens. Both were cooked perfectly to medium rare as ordered. We thoroughly enjoyed them with th parm fries. They are the best!! (Well, it's always a touch decision between these and the sweet potato fries....) The small order is generous and plenty for the two of us. Thinner and just the right amount of crispiness. SO good!! Beers on tap and in cans. The service is great too! Friendly, efficient, just all-around nice people.
google avatar

Christy D.

Yelp
Such an amazing find. Doesn't look like a lot from the outside, but inside is a much different story! The burgers and sweet potato fries were to die for. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

John M.

Yelp
Good place for burgers and fries. I think we often overlook the intricacies that can make or break a burger, make it either "just a burger" or make it a good or dare I say, a great burger. Service is good here and they make a pretty good burger, the kind that you will realize that a burger can be far above the mundane experience of a burger or worse yet, a fast food burger. It's a small place, but out if small places can come great things. Thins place isa perfect example of such.
google avatar

Alicia S.

Yelp
We were passing through the Cincy area on a road trip and found Bones' on Yelp. Let me tell you, the reviews did not lead us astray. From what I could gather, the owner was directing traffic behind the bar which seemed like a cool spot for locals. The environment was quaint and inviting. The two of us in our party each had burgers off the menu, which had tons of high-quality ingredients. Not to mention, the fries were delicious with plenty to go around. I doubt we'll be back because we're not from the area, but I would highly recommend it to anyone local or passing through.
google avatar

Tommy D.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Hidden back in a strip mall but don't let location scare you away. Might be the best burger in Cincinnati and lots of great beer options. Will go back many more times.
