"This restaurant is a relative newcomer to Seoul’s Pyeongyang cold buckwheat noodle scene but Chef Kwon Hee-seung’s passion for serving authentic bowls of cold buckwheat noodles more than makes up for its short history. Kwon begins each day by preparing the broth for the cold noodles, using cuts from local beef such as brisket, flank and round. He also throws in some medicinal herbs for good measure. Kwon’s noodles are made of 80% buckwheat flour, 20% sweet potato starch and are thicker than the versions served at most of its competitors." - Michelin Inspector

Clean and delicious tasting I liked the beef tartare noodles so much, great flavours even before any additional seasoning was added to it. Beef rice soup was also good. Overall very happy with the meal and so glad we got to try this place. We walked in slightly after 2pm and were able to get a table very quickly. Self ordering via a tablet on the table, with English menu available.

We had the chance to try both the Pyeongyang Mul Naengmyeon and the Pyeongyang Bibim Naengmyeon, and they were both excellent in their own way! It was very refreshing and delicious. It was nice seeing that my favorite actor also visited this restaurant!

Place is a little hard to find. It's not on the main street you have to go through the left side of the main building all the way in the back. Place was super lively when I went 7:30pm Wednesday, it was basically packed with locals. The staff is really nice and friendly. It was my first time here, they introduced everything and even gave us free food! We didn't order one of their best sellers so they have it to us just so we can try! Amazing service! The food itself was good. The soup for the cold noodles was a little bland, but I hear that is the style 🤔 I don't particularly like that. Their in-house apple vinegar sauce is great on the noodles. Dumplings were big and delicious. And the steamed meat was amazing as well.

Really delicious buckwheat noodles. We tried the cold buckwheat noodle and really loved the flavour. Also tried a hot udon noodle. It was very flavourful with a bit of spice. We were also given a complimentary cold buckwheat noodle that had a sesame flavour and that was my favourite. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were cheap and portions were generous.

Michelin guide usually doesn’t deliver in Seoul, but they didn’t get it wrong this time. Amazing buckwheat noodles that’s subtle yet full of flavor. Dumplings are handmade—you can tell by the quality of fillings. Everything feels homemade with love—you walk away feeling energized and not bogged down by artificial flavoring. A Must go restaurant.

The food is great even before they got a michelin guide mention especially cold noodles and mandu great. Also the owner and staff where nice and made you always come back. Since 2021 however they changed to a online table order time slot thing I really don't like that and because of this don't go there anymore

Located off of the main street, it’s a bit tucked away so be sure to look out for the restaurant! Me and my friend came for the cold noodles but accidentally ordered the hot noodles, which was still delicious. The kind staff recognized that we mistakenly ordered the wrong noodles, and generously gave us a full sized bowl of cold noodles (though we were happy and already enjoying our hot noodles) on the house 🥹 It was our silly mistake, but we’re super grateful and touched by the kind gesture and thanked them repeatedly. Hope to come back to Seoul and pay another visit to this great spot! 😊🩵 정말 감사합니다!

Meal budget per person (without drinks) Category 1 (under 60000 KRW, 50 USD) The restaurant has been listed onto Michelin Guide for six consecutive years from 2018 to next year, and also onto Blue Ribbon Survey since 2017. Chewy noodles and broth with full of umami - I dare say that it is the best cold buckwheat noodle in Korea which I can feel the chef's sincerity. The most important part making this Pyongyang Naengmyeon is known as preparing for the broth, so you have to taste it first. The noodles are made of buckwheat, so it is not tough. Vinegar is recommended to be added onto noodles (not to the broth, as the broth should be tasted as it is) I recommend a special menu (39K per person) where all dishes can be enjoyed, because they are all very different style, very tasty. - Buckwheat Pancake - Pyongyang Dumpling Hot Pot - Boiled Beef Slice with raw Octopus - Stone Pot Buckwheat - Pyongyang Buckwheat: - Pyongyang Fried Dumpling: This handmade dumpling is one of a kind! * If above 4 persons, Korean Beef Barbecue (Bulgogi) is provided free of charge. It is very delectable. It does not accept reservation, but you can get a waiting list in the order you come. It is excellent cooking, worth a detour!
