Bonito Kitchen & Bar, Zona Romántica

The staff here are absolutely incredible. The manager is attentive and so are each of the team on their serving staff. I don’t think I could say enough good things about the food; those pork belly dumplings, the pho dumplings, chicken satay, the tan tan ramen and the wonton soup are simply perfect. It’s a must go in PV. I also love the drinks (lychee martini is unreal). They have live music with great talent as well!

As a group with 2x Vegans, 1x Coeliac and a norme, Bonito was a good choice. They had a dedicated gluten free menu and some vegan options. Everyone enjoyed their food, the vegans in our group had 2 different Ramens, I; the coeliac, yellow curry. Everyone thought their food was tasty.

A bit of a walk inland from the zone but still worth it. Cute Asian food tasty done right along with the drinks. They also have another Bonito further inland slightly different menu but I love it

We've been twice now, the first time we didn't have such a great experience. I think its mainly because we didn't understand how the food was supposed to work- lots of smaller dishes that are intended to share. I ordered some curry and after everyone else was done we were told that they were out and would I be OK to substitute another kind, which I did. The food and drinks were great and friends kept recommending it so we went back again with friends. This time we ordered everything to share so we weren't each waiting on specific dishes. We had a fantastic time doing that and we got to try even more of the menu. So if you are up for sharing I highly recommend this place. It has some indoor air conditioned seating, but the patio is really lovely with lots of plants. Also when the venue next door is open you get treated to some live music. You just can't see it. Don't forget to check out the really big banyon/focus tree growing in the street out front.

If you see all my reviews you will see that I almost don’t rate restaurants with 5 stars unless their food is very good. And I just returned to this restaurant after 2 years of not coming and I would like to say that they have improved so so much, the food was excellent, flavours were very good, very Asian and accurate. I liked this place and the food a lot. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful restaurant. Patio gardens are peaceful and romantic. Cocktails, creative and well executed. The bar program pairs an Asian flair with the magic of Mexican spirits. Food was delicious. Pho dumplings were meaty and rich. Potstickers, pan fried pork perfection. Biang Biang noodles were toothsome and flavorful. Well worth the visit if you are in Puerto Vallarta’s Romantic Zone.

Love the garden setting. Make sure to reserve a table after 6 so you can get seated there; it’s very relaxing. I enjoyed the gin blueberry lavender drink, yum. The food taste so fresh and unique flavours that I’ll return to next year. I only wish I discovered this place in Zona Romantica sooner…but the Foodie Alert came near to the end of our stay. Oh well, always next year 😃

I loved Bonito. Went the other night with a larger group and got a spot on their beautiful patio. The cocktails were very unique and enjoyable. The passionfruit lemonade apparently was delicious. All the food was very tasty, especially loved the soft shell bao buns, coconut shrimp and the cauliflower dish. The portions are definitely on the smaller side so something to keep in mind when ordering. We didn't realize at first and had to order a second round of food, which worked fine too. Servers were nice, food was pretty timely and the ambience was a+++.
