One of the best bakery/cafes in the Peninsula! I never knew about French style scones until I tried one at Bonjour Bakehouse and now I am hooked! They are buttery, fluffy, and full of flavor whether it's a sweet or savory variation. Their plain scones are a good introduction but I have also enjoyed their salmon, French pimento pepper, and apple varieties. One of the owners was the chef behind the Doughbies startup so definitely try one of their cookies too! Their coffee is solid as well with lattes being on the milky side but I appreciate having decaf available. Parking can be tough but now they expanded their indoor seating area so it's worth a longer visit. Also, they are on Too Good to Go occasionally and it's such a good deal for $6 to try some of their treats! Merci, Bonjour Bakehouse!

I’m a scone lover, and Bonjour Bakery is always my favorite spot every week. Their pastries are always freshly baked, but the scones are the real star, fresh, not too sweet, balanced and absolutely delicious. I’ve tried most of their scones flavors, and today I had the cinnamon & chocolate chip, fresh out of the oven, perfect timing, paired with their black coffee, it was just right. You can really taste the homemade freshness. Best scones ever! Thank you !

Alomd croissant was i believe the best, size is on the smaller side. What i Enjoyed was that it had perfect amount of almond paste inside as well as it had the right crisp when you bite into it. What i though could have been better, is that i felt too many almonds and prominent butter flavor. My daughter didn't like the pumpkin scone as she said it was too buttery and not enough pumpkin flavor. Pumpkin tart she also said the crust was a bit stale, but the pumpkin filling inside was delicious. I would like to go back and try their kouign Aman and coffee when I am in San mateo area. I would recommend this location for fresh, homemade pastries if you are in the area as parking can be a bit hard to find.

Out of the way and amazing. We stopped by to check out the offerings here and were mightily impressed. I got into the most delicious mushroom toast ever created, and Cindy had the delightful Friday waffle. Lucky score. The owners here are super friendly. Come in and work on your French. Try this delicious food.

Came in for TGTG pick up, however, couldn’t resist ordering a coffee (Biscoff latte) as well. Super yummy pastries and strong tasty coffee( for me at least)! Very friendly staff. Turns out one of the ladies is the co-owner, who she was the most amicable, lovely, friendly chatty person that you would ever love to interact with. She is very engaging with all who walk into the shop. I love the friendly neighborhood vibe that you get as soon as you walk into this shop. I think many places should take them as an example of friendly customer service, which is something our society is missing a lot of lately. Definitely plan to return over and over again!

My version of the perfect Friday morning is attending the favorite yoga class, savoring just-out-of-the-oven cinnamon scone while sipping a good coffee on a bench under the California sun. And then going to the beach for a quick swim. Scones are devine as others have mentioned. I love the flavor combinations, too - “honey walnut goat cheese” is very much my kind of savory scone.

I visited this place based on its high rating, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing. I ordered the plain croissant and even took the extra step of heating it up in my oven to give it a fair chance. Despite that, it tasted bland, and the interior was overly doughy, dense and greasy, with signs it hadn't risen properly. It felt more like a clump of underbaked dough than a true croissant, definitely not worth the $5 for the croissant. I also tried their latte with non-fat milk, which was equally underwhelming. It was overly bland with barely any espresso flavor, and the paper cup added a strange, unpleasant taste. Absolutely not worth the $5 for a 10oz cup of bad-tasting coffee.

I don’t review anything, but I love coffee and I like looking for new places. Bonjour Bakehouse is off the charts incredible! The latte is so smooth, and their specialty is scones, and I don’t think I’ve ever had a better scone anywhere! I highly recommend this place.

Wow, just wow! I don't think I have ever cared for scones.. until now. Seriously, the most delicious, delectable and delightful scones I have ever tasted in all of my life! I tried to take a nonchalant bite and found my self pausing to truly enjoy all of the flavors and texture of this tasty treat. I am determined to try all of the flavors here. Hooked, I think I may easily become addicted to this bakery ;)

Super cute hole in the wall, literally hehe they only have outdoor seating & a window where you order from. The lady that took my order was friendly & offered my dog a treat so extra points for that. No indoor seating from what I could tell but luckily it was a beautiful day out today so I enjoyed sitting out front. They have lots of goodies to choose from. We also got a ham & cheese croissant, not pictured here that is worth coming back for. I'll definitely be back. The coffee was good, the pastries even better. First time here and we really enjoyed the experience and the coffee we got. Everything here seems to be homemade - including all the syrups and sauces for the coffees. You can definitely tell the owner loves what he does.

We stumbled upon this place after dropping off some recycling in the area. The menu looked interesting but we had already eaten breakfast that day so we just ordered an Iced Americano (b/c they had Ikon Roastery beans). While we were sitting down, one of the owners(?) asked us if we were the folks who had asked about the baguettes because they had fresh ones. We were not, but were intrigued and bought one. I will say it is one of the better baguettes we've had this side of Paris: crispy exterior with a light & fluffy - but not excessively airy -- interior. And the flavor is just spot on! Usually, when I try a place I like to taste more on the menu before giving a five star rating. But I'm giving five stars here based on the baguette alone. It was that good! We feel fortunate to have stumbled upon this place. The owners and staff seem so friendly. We look forward to coming back and trying more off the menu especially the seasonal scones!

I wanted to love this place so much but was super disappointed. Not much selection on a Saturday morning already. Ordered three scones (one blueberry, one chocolate chip, one plain). Their level of bake was super inconsistent. The blueberry one had raw dough in the middle, the chocolate chip was baked all the way through and the plain was somewhere in the middle. For $6 a scone, I should not find any raw dough in my pastry. On top of that, my ginger tumeric chai latte was lacking flavor. There was maybe a whisper of ginger but it didn't have much taste overall. Unfortunately with this experience, the price point is too high for me to try again and possibly be disappointed a second time.

I've never been to France and don't know what an authentic French scone should taste like, but this pastry is out of this world. I've had the apricot scone and the berry scone, and both have not let me down--flaky, buttery, and a little tart from the fruit. Now the coffee I like it keep it simple some honey and cinnamon and Im a happy camper, but not everyone has mastered the ratio or the milky steamed foam. I love love love Bonjours coffee and I know coffee. Even though there's no indoor area to enjoy my sip or bite I really don't care, the best part about coming here is the authentic, genuine, customer service you get...and it's consistent. The scones are amazing-- they use extra butter and sugar but it's worth it because the taste is impeccable. Mushroom is really good, the bacon one is good too, and I think the blueberry takes the cake. Their coffees are made to order and have good taste & quality. The area is just a window cut out on the side of a building that you walk up to. They have some outdoor seating, big clear menus, and friendly staff.

Stopped here on a whim. Parking can be challenging and the area isn't exactly upscale. They have several tables outside, otherwise you order from an outside window. Special waffles on Fridays only! Good texture, soft and chewy and just slightly crispy on the edges. It doesn't come with any toppings but its nice to munch on as a stand-alone snack because I taste sugar in the batter mix. Salmon scone Small but packs a punch. The salmon flavor is abundant and blends well with the softness of the scone pastry. There's more fish than you would expect and a surprise of green onion in the middle as well. Encrusted with a mix of sunflower, sesame and poppy seeds. Strawberry scone The amazing thing about this scone is that you can taste and smell the fruit without running into the actual berry part. I think they infuse the flavor into the dough somehow. High marks here. Cinnamon honey latte Very smooth with subtle honey and cinnamon notes and hints of lavender and nutmeg. My only issue is the cup was small - I understand this is a gourmet coffee pad but I wanted more! Overall portions are small but they make up in quality what it lacks in size, and then some. Convenient location right off the highway so if you can afford a 10 min detour, add the stop! That's all...

My FAVORITE scone place! No need to drive into the city for these babies! I have tried the following flavors: peach (summer season), plum, strawberry, and apple cinnamon. These scones are moist (never dry), not too sweet, and just enough filling. The coffee is also a nice brew and perfect complement to the scones. Very friendly French man (owner?) greeted us and asked how we liked our scones. We LOVE them!

I love love the scones at Bonjour bakehouse. They also have some great cookies and pastries that are just delicious. The people and owner is super nice and friendly. Definitely worth the line and the hype is real.

We've had bonjour bakehouse many times but its taken me a while to write this review! Anytime I have an opportunity, I try to make a stop for Bonjour's cookies! They are truly one of the best. I also had a few of their pastries, like croissant, ham and cheese and they are all delicious! We also had Bonjour baked a batch for our wedding reception and it was a great hit! Their bakehouse has outdoor seating and it's nice to be able to take our dog here and just sit and enjoy our cookies.

These are my absolute favorite scones. They are not dry at all and the chocolate chip ones are just so delicious. Everyone there is always super friendly and helps me to make the best choice of pastries for the day.

In the final weeks of Pastel, I took the opportunity to search their loyal makers who supported them to the end. My mistake was waiting over a week later before actually eating it as I'm sure it would be even better. It was already excellent, flavor wise and texturally, save the crumbling on some of the edges because of my tardiness. I liked that it was not overly sweet as I'm sure the Valhrona cocoa powder put the chocolate flavor over the top. There was also definitely no shortage of chocolate chips there too. I read about the baker's background and confirmed why I enjoyed this cookie so much. In checking my goody bag, I found two more of these cookies, one of which I will share with my brother. Looks like I'll either have to make a trip to San Mateo to try more of this baker's menu.

Cute baked goods! I loved the cute eco friendly packaging. This was delivered via DD, so I can't vouch for the service COOKIES Chocolate chip- classic! Rainbow- too sweet for me. Yummy but I could only do one bite a day Gluten free chocolate chip- pretty good for gluten free. Dulce de mango- not a cookie but omg so good!!! 3.5 stars rounded up for the eco friendly efforts, gf options, and that dulce de mango *chef's kiss*

This bakery would do well in any city in America and it's a minor miracle that it's in Burlingame. Best scone I've ever had. Incredible cookies. Great croissant and pain au chocolat (chocolatine). Great coffee. Please do not say anything to me ever again about Backhaus until you try this place. There is no comparison.

We were excited to try out this bakery / cafe, and there were some hits and some misses. At the time we went, there was only outdoor seating with a few tables and benches. There is a small pastry case with no labels or prices, so you just have to ask what/how much everything is. Make sure to also ask if there is anything else available because we noticed people after us ordering items that were not displayed in the case. I would definitely stick to the baked goods, and get your coffee/hot drinks elsewhere, as both our drinks were not too pleasant. The steamed milk was super foamy and the coffee did not taste great. The matcha latte had way too much matcha in it so unfortunately it was not drinkable and I had to pour it out. It was very dark green and tasted powdery. For $6.25, this was pretty disappointing. Scones are fantastic though! Tender and lots of nice fruit throughout. Chocolate brioche was full of rich and delicious chocolate ganache. Come for the baked treats, bring your own drink:)

We ordered one dozen cookies for my brother for Christmas. I used the website as we live in Phx,AZ. I usually bake but decided to try this bakery. I read all about the Bonjour Bakehouse and I was very excited to try their cookies. I ordered 6 rainbow sprinkles and 6 variety mix cookies. Ordering on the website was convenient and easy. It was nice the bakery had a chat option so you can ask questions. Response was very efficient. I know they are super busy. My brother received his cookies in a couple of days as we had to have them shipped. Boxes arrived beautiful condition and my brother loved that the cookies are individually wrapped, they will stay fresh and it's not wrapped in plastic! My brother said he warmed the cookie and the flavor was amazing. I can't wait to actually go to this bakery some day. Excellent communication the entire time kept us posted from baking, to shipped to arrival. Thank you as well to USPS for caring and doing such a wonderful job of delivery.

The best croissants that we've had all over the SF Bay Area, and we've tried all the well known bakeries, some of which have shockingly horrendous croissants. This is what a real croissant from Paris would taste like (been to Paris four times so we've tried quite a few there too). Meticulously layered and flaky outside, buttery and soft inside. The scones and cookies are equally delicious. We're so happy to find an awesome new French bakery in the area. This will be our go-to bakery from now on!

I go for the best coffee in town and the amazing pastries. They're super friendly and I simply love walking over for a morning latte' and a delicious (and fresh) gluten-free scone. I sit and enjoy them in the fresh air at one of their outdoor tables.

Honestly, these are basic cookies that I can make better. I shouldn't have wasted my calories. We tried sprinkles, double chocolate and chocolate chip. Mehhh And there were no garbage cans.

A touch of France! This is a drive-up bakery (people literally double park because there's no parking). The French woman at the window is delightfully French down to the "Bonjour!" The pastries are interesting. If you want to try something different, go for the savory scones, absolutely délicieux! An Americano and 3 pastries (pain au chocolat, pancetta scone and strawberry brioche) costs $22 without tip. I will be coming back.

Francois' passion, positive energy and vision for this business is palpable. Happy place with good freshly baked pastries accompanied by Ikon coffee. Dog friendly, happy friendly employees where you would want to work kind of place.

First and foremost, the people who own this place are lovely. The baked goods here are the best. The scones are sooo good. Like, life changing good. Not close to my house so when I come and usually get a box of different pastries which I find very reasonably priced. By the end of the day, my kids have obliterated everything in the box that I haven't hidden from them. The coffee is also amazing. All the packaging is very environmentally friendly which I totally appreciate.

You will not find better scones, even in Paris! Francois does an amazing job - perfectly rolled in butter, flaky texture, fresh jam, and not too sweet. The espresso is also perfectly done. One of a kind, we need more of YOU!

Bonjour Bakehouse bakes the best croissants & scones in the area. They are baked on-site with top-quality ingredients. If you arrive early, they are often still warm. Yum! Most cafés in Burlingame serve tired pastries bought from wholesalers. What's the point? Do yourself a favor and savor some freshly-baked pastries.

I have ordered from here 4 times and had them shipped to South Carolina and let me tell you when I say these cookies are to die for I mean they literally are! & shipping is SUPER FAST!!!

My company sent me a box of cookies from Bonjour Bakehouse and I couldn't believe how amazing and fresh these cookies were. SO GOOD! They've become my go-to for gifts and everyone I've sent boxes to has raved about their cookies. They have excellent customer service and quick delivery (usually 2 business days from ordering). I can only imagine how good the rest of their pastries are.

I was on a hunt for some tasty baked goods. It was a random day where I went to a different place, but it was so busy that I searched and found this cute family owned bakery. To my pleasant surprise, they had so many great flavors for scones. These were French scones that were fluffy and light. I got strawberries, apple, and the classic scone. I was pleased with every one of them. My family loved them too, all fighting over the last crumb. Service: it is such a friendly place. They were so kind to let me know there was a fresh batch of scones ready in about 5 minutes. Gave me a few recommendations. There are several tables outside to sit and enjoy your coffee and baked treat. It was so delicious that I went back again to get another box. This satisfied my cravings. A definite on my favorite places.

Amazing scones.. I stumbled on this place a few months ago while looking for scones for my daughter's afternoon tea theme birthday party and fell in love since. Having lived briefly in the Uk i despaired at finding a comparable scone here, but these are honestly potentially even better than the ones you can get at high end hotel teas there. Buttery, flaky, and soft on the inside with crunch on the outside - divine. My favorite is definitely the berry, though some of the savoury scones are interesting too.

Just moved to Burlingame and so lucky that this neighborhood spot is in close walking proximity. They're open from 7-1pm and have a wide array of coffees and baked goods. Today is my 2nd day in a row buying a peach scone. I was apprehensive since scones generally are on the dryer side but not this one. Bonjour you have changed my scone perspective!! Yummy what a little gem this shop is!

Starting with the good - the almond croissant is out of this world, so good and crispy. Apparently it's double baked. The mediocre. I was expecting the London fog to be tea latte but it's really not much different than hot tea with some milk. Not really worth the 5.75 Otherwise service is really lovely and they have some nice outdoor seating area. It's in an industrial area.

BEWARE OF ROTTEN FRUIT IN PASTRIES! I came here for the first time on a Monday morning before work to grab a coffee and pastry. I asked if they had any flavored lattes, but they didn't, so I got an iced oat milk chai latte. Whatever chai concentrate I saw the barista pour into my cup tasted absolutely horrible. In addition, I got a chocolate m&m cookie and a peach scone. The cookie was flavorless and not sweet at all, which was very disappointing. Next, I bit into the peach scone and noticed a piece of the peach fruit was grayish black. I was obviously horrified and proceeded to break the scone apart to check the rest of the peaches inside, and they were all bad!!! I hate that I wasted my time and money on this bakery. I only decided to come to Bonjour Bakehouse because of all the great reviews, but I'm shocked and absolutely disgusted.

My favorite scones hands down. The sweet and savory scones are both excellent. Great seasonal fruit options for the sweet scones and flavorful savory scones. Other baked goods are also available such as croissants, financiers, cookies and doughnuts. I haven't tried any of the coffee drinks but they would be great with the scones or pastry.

There is no local delivery despite what they say on their website. They couldn't send a gift for my mother's birthday for a week past the day. Even shipping would be 2 or 3 days according to their website...very disappointing.

My new go-to cookie/pastry place!! For those of you who remember Doughbies (same day cookie delivery in the SF), Bonjour Bakehouse is run by the same pastry chef and these cookies sure brought back memories from 2017. I was really nervous he'd run out of cookies and pastries and he DID run out of croissants, but there were still some cookies left when I arrived - around 11:15am. Not a ton though, so I recommend going early! I'm normally not a huge fan of scones but whatever he put in his scallion bacon scone was like crack - I inhaled the whole thing! I'm definitely coming back!

it was ok. Maybe it was hyped in my head because of all the great reviews, and also because i read the review that said it was by the previous Doughbies people (which I miss! RIP doughbies) but overall it was just ok. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but if I happen to be around there, like sure I'll stop by. Parking is easy so all good. The person behind the counter was very friendly but it was a little bit annoying to order because nothing is labeled and not everything is displayed so I was sorta jus like "well what is there?" and "what is that? what is this" and I didn't know prices either because again nothing is labeled. Came back with a chocolate brioche which had a hefty amount of chocolate. Pear scone --- no pear in sight. Fine scone but basically plain. Blood orange pastry - alright. Chocolate croissant. Nice chocolate croissant. Peanut butter chocolate cookie - def a solid good cookie.

OK I've got to mention something again about this incredible bakery. They just came out with a chocolate scone... Danger, danger danger delicious. Delicious. Delicious! Also, their coffee drinks are so wonderful. What a great staff.

Bonjour Bakehouse provided a full-service scone buffet for my recent event for over three hundred guests. They were early, prepared for the unexpected, incredibly gracious, and hospitable. It felt a bit like being in France. And the scones were unbelievable :) Francois and Ingrid recommended a combination of savory and sweet scones and included GF and Vegan.
