"With looks somewhere between a tropical greenhouse and a nightclub, plus a cool, clubby atmosphere, this lively, colorful boîte could just as well be in West Hollywood as Vancouver. Some of the plant life is artificial, but rest assured the homey Vietnamese fare is the real deal. A hip, fashion-forward clientele is drawn in by the cooking, but the energetic vibe and disarmingly sweet service can’t hurt. You might start with grilled skewers, like a pork sausage shaped around a lemongrass stalk, or a pepper-crusted beef carpaccio topped with fragrant herbs, crispy garlic and shallot—but save room for the soul-warming bowls of pho (a short rib version is noteworthy) and bun bo hue. Each item has a vegetarian counterpart, so there’s no shortage of options." - Michelin Inspector

This Vietnamese restaurant surprised me! As a fan of Asian cuisine, I have tried a couple of Vietnamese restaurants before in Vancouver, but this one has become one of my favorites. The vermicelli was really savory, although I didn't find a good match between the maracuja sauce and prawn tempura. Nevertheless, the service was great and my order was ready quickly. 😊

This is a gorgeous location with elevated Vietnamese food and unique cocktails! My friend and I went here and ordered a good selection of food. We got some spring rolls, fried noodles, lemongrass chicken with vermicelli, and two signature cocktails. Everything was delicious and presented nicely, with a interesting array of flavours and textures. The decor is absolutely beautiful. The location is extremely well maintained and the ambiance enhances the overall experience. You have to see it in person to fully appreciate it. Service was great. Our server was attentive and provided useful information and insights about the menu. The price is high but worth it for the experience. If you're looking for a more premium Vietnamese dining experience with great ambiance, this is the perfect place for you.

We came here for lunch on a Sunday. The interior design and decor are beautiful. We felt comfortable and spacious. All the chairs, tables, wall decors, colours and etc had elevated the vibe for customers. We ordered three dishes of food as you could see the attached photos. Everything tasted good. The quality was definitely higher than other Vietnamese restaurants’ for sure. The ingredients were more fresh and better. It’s worth for them to charge at a higher price. It was a Sunday but there were only three tables of customers the whole time when we were there. It was really quiet. I hope their dinner time would be busier. Understanding this is a Michelin Guide restaurant, it has set apart from others and it is more outstanding for sure. But I am wondering how many people are willing to pay for a higher price to eat here. The food industry and/or restaurants are competitive in Greater Vancouver in general. There is street parking and parking in the residential areas, so no worries about parking for sure. Customer service was great. And I would like to mention that their washroom was well designed and clean as well.

Google
Bonjour Vietnam was an amazing experience! The decor and atmosphere alone is worth going here, but the food was super delicious and the cocktails were excellent. I would recommend going with a larger group of people (4-6) as the menu is best family style and you can try more dishes that was. The food and drink presentation is also beautiful. The service was excellent and our server helped us pick a good combination of dishes for our group. I look forward to going back!

Super cute decor! The pomelo salad was delicious! The grilled squid was super soft and went well with the dip. The bo luc lac had the perfect amount of "wok heat" flavor. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back again.

The food here is amazing!! I highly recommend the beef carpaccio and the spring rolls, they’re so addictive. The owner is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet and the staff are so friendly and attentive. Wonderful spot for date night or dinner and drinks with friend.

Google
Very cute restaurant, love the vibe. The food was yummy, especially the squid which was soft and grilled, and the beef which was tender and juicy. The chicken wings were also delicious.

Yelp
I sat at the bar in this quaint little restaurant and it was fantastic! The mushroom app was delicious and the ambiance inside is so spunky and fun- pink and yellow old rotary phones, flowers everywhere! Great cocktails too.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I have visited this place about 2 years ago, I wanted to bring her back to here again on Valentine's Day as it was quite remarkable. However, the food and service seemed to be drastically different. The flowers at the door would always catch our eyes whenever we drive by it. As you walk in, the flowers extend itself to the ceiling and walls, an ideal restaurant for people who love to take IG pictures as there's also a flower swing spot. I had already forgotten how the food tasted like from 2 years ago, but I remembered my favorite dish was the Honey Garlic Chicken Wings. We ordered it again along with Eggplants as starters. Sad to say that it didn't match my expectations, the wings itself tasted quite bland and the honey just made the wings purely sweet. One thing that really threw us off was the wait between our starters and mains. We were eating the starters for almost 30 mins and still didn't receive the main (they were already cold). The servers never checked up on us and I had to ask if they got the order in. For the aesthetics of the place, I understand that the owner might want to brand it as a higher end place, but for a price point that ranges from $18-$25/dish, the food was not giving. You can pay the same for more authentic Vietnamese food around the city than this.

Yelp
Photo-worthy ambience perfect for a date night! This restaurant reminds of the vibes at Anh and Chi and I think would be a great place to come with a larger group to share some dishes. With only the two of us who were craving something warm and soupy, we opted for two soup noodles. In all honesty, they were decent but not the best pho noodles we've had. The beef noodles (I asked for non-spicy) had a milder taste and not the strong traditional herb/spice flavour. The meats were cooked beautifully, but there was nothing outstanding about the dishes. However, I suspect we didn't order their popular menu items and would likely have a different dining experience if we can in a larger group to order appetizers and more dishes to share.

Yelp
Vancouver Michelin Guide Restaurant If you're looking for a restaurant with great aesthetics, I highly recommend visiting Bonjour Vietnam Bistro & Cocktail Bar. It has an incredible interior design, with floral designs, cozy seating, and an overall inviting atmosphere. The menu is also delicious, with a wide variety of options ranging from classic Vietnamese dishes to more modern and creative flavours, plus creative cocktails. We tried: Spring Rolls -- Chicken, carrots, taro, black mushroom, vermicelli, fish sauce $16 Tropical Fried Rice -- Prawns, fresh pineapple, egg, mixed vegetables $26 Pork Chops & Steamed Rice $23 Food 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Parking 6.5/10 Service 9/10

Yelp
Ambience is gorgeous and very IG-able. We walked into this beautiful restaurant at 5pm, and told them we made a reservation. The server checked the reso book and said 'Jerry for 9, right?' My husband said, 'it's Gary, but yah we have 9 people.' I'm surprised the server actually said 'Jerry, Gary, whatever.' That unprofessional response took me by surprise. They have cutlery and napkins placed on all tables, but they actually didn't have our party of 9 setup properly. Even though it's just moving a few tables together and an extra chair on one end, but if we already made a reservation at the earliest dinner seating, why wasn't it set up? Finally we sat down, server gave us some water, and didn't give us menus until I asked him to. Seriously, why? We ordered wings, prawns & mango salad, beef carpaccio, spring rolls, grilled squid, eggplant, lemongrass chicken vermicelli, beef rib pho, and grilled chicken pho. Food came pretty quickly, everything tasted good (especially the wings and squid) and the main entrée portions are generous. I had to prompt the server to take away empty plates to make space for more dishes to come. I also had to prompt the server to give us bowls for the noodle soup. Because our party has 9 people (6 adults and 3 kids), so 18% gratuity was already added on the bill. But with such below average service, I feel so choked it's mandatory to pay 18% tips. Their food is above average, but I wouldn't say is Michelin Guide spectacular. If I want to have modern Vietnamese, I would head to Lunch Lady instead.

Yelp
Anothet restaurant in lower mainland that when you get inside it feels like you're in a paradise ,a tropical place. The ceiling decors and the wall of the restaurant is like a place somewhere in Thailand,a bit darker though but not a problem, kinda confusing which country this place wants to show, .busy place when I visited,i got the fried spring roll and it was good and presentation wise its almost perfect,I also tried a beef soup that was served morethan 30 minutes waiting and the crew who got my order although very friendly did not even asked how the I like the meat,it was served rare actually and i always go for medium well, the soup is no longer hot . Well the soup tasted very good. This place serves alcoholic beverages, free street parking, not sure if wifi is free but i gez now a days no one needs a wifi, good for kids and family, somewhat romantic though: Market value seems to me its affordable and just right. Not a bad place to eat your soup and have 1 or 2 drink

Yelp
Got some vietnamese food while i was checking malaysian street: - Spring Rolls ($12): the cha gio with pork, shrimp, carrots, black mushrooms, bean thread vermicelli, taro served with chili seasoned fish sauce had an interesting taste so do not miss this one. (5/5) - Spicy Lemongrass Beef Noodle Soup ($17): the bun bo hue of rare beef, beef brisket, green onions, cilantro, basil, bean sprouts, thick vermicelli noodles and beef bone marrow broth tasted different from the normal BBH i would try. This is something definitely you should get! (5/5) - Fried Rice ($18): the com chien with chicken, mixed vegetables, cilantro and egg was super good, and I personally think this is my favourite dish from all. (5/5) - Vietnamese Banana Cake ($12): the dessert was pretty interesting taste to try. (4/5) The place had a good taste and well worth the money. Even though they did a mistake on getting us chicken fried rice instead of the prawn but luckily it was still good. The place is too dark since it is a cocktail bar which is not to my liking but still the food was great!

Yelp
So happy to have finally visited this place!! It's truly a beautiful dining experience. Bonus is that food is as good as the place looks! I started with a non-alcoholic drink, something in paradise? (Sorry I forgot) but it was passionfruit with pea tip, and it was a tart refreshing drink! We ordered the Beef carpaccio ($19) to share and it was a nice starter, with good flavors. Then we had the Fine Vermicelli ($23) which was with lemongrass beef. I was surprised to see that the beef is wrapped around a sprig of lemongrass! It's the first time I've seen it done this way, and it was delicious! I honestly didn't know how to approach this dish though, was I supposed to wrap it? Eat it all separate? It was a fun meal nonetheless! My friend had the vermicelli ($22) which was recommended by our waitress, this is regular vermicelli with chicken/tofu (he chose tofu). It looked quite good and I heard no complaints about the dish. Overall it was a great experience, though the table we were at was definitely not long-legged-people friendly, my friend didn't know there to put her legs under the little table! The food comes in sensible portions, I was pretty stuffed from it though. And just being in the restaurant itself, was a beautiful experience.

Yelp
Went here for a birthday party and had some of the best pho ever! Im pretty picky with pho as a vegetarian since so few places do it right. This place is pretty solid. I ordered the Spicy vegetable pho off the vegetarian menu and the garden rolls. Both were amazing. I also loved the Glamour Girl cocktail which was as delicious as it was artistically presented. In addition, the restaurant is so beautifully decorated that it makes for a great background for pictures and sets a celebratory ambience. Finally, the servers were all soo helpful, patient and kind! Loved everything

Yelp
Absolutely love the ambiance and décor of this cute little Vietnamese bistro! Definitely Instagram-worthy. With that being said, you'll be paying a bit more than your average casual Vietnamese spot, but it's nice to splurge a little bit, especially when they offer such creative cocktails. We were seated right away at the bar on a Thursday evening, eventually moving to the outdoor patio after our meal to enjoy another cocktail. We started off with the beef carpaccio which was very fresh and loaded with flavour. When comparing it to the famous Phnom Penh's butter beef, this one is slightly sweeter and less acidic. My friend and I each ordered a bowl of their beef rib pho which had tender pieces of short ribs, rare beef, and brisket. The broth was very flavourful and didn't need any extra hoisin or Siracha. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with the standard additions of lime, bean sprouts, chili pepper, or fresh herbs (cilantro, Thai basil) but perhaps that was the intention? We couldn't do without the lime so we requested and they happily provided. Our server was incredibly friendly and provided us with cocktail recommendations and personal preferences. As mentioned earlier, we moved to the patio after our food for another drink and they graciously accommodated the request.

Yelp
R and I came here for dinner on a weekday evening and loved the beautiful interior. We got the grilled whole squid to start and then the chicken vermicelli as our main. The grilled squid was a surprise hit as it was quite soft and not as chewy as I would expect with good flavour. The chicken vermicelli was also quite delicious but similar to others we have had before. We wished we had gotten some cocktail drinks to try but will have to come back to do this next time we are in the area!

Yelp
I had a lovely dinner experience at Bonjour Vietnam Bistro! Let's start with the interior, which is absolutely stunning! There are gorgeous plants hanging down from the ceiling, a bright neon sign to take photos with, and even a phone booth by the bar! The inside however is on the dimmer side which made taking photos a bit more difficult than usual but the ambience is well worth it! Now, let's talk about the food! Here's what we ordered: Vermicelli Salad Noodle with Grilled Chicken ($17) Served with spring rolls, mixed lettuce, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, cucumber, carrots, rice vermicelli, green onion oil, roasted peanuts and chili seasoned fish sauce. My friend notes the proportions for this dish were a bit off and that more noodles would have made it perfect Bun Bo Hue Chay ($15) I tried their bún bò huế chay which is vegetarian! It includes tofu, mixed vegetables, mushrooms, green onions, cilantro, cabbage, fresh herbs, and thick rice noodles in a vegetable broth. It was delicious and satisfying I do wish the broth was a bit spicier though! Glamour Girl ($16) A cocktail that features Zubrowka bison grass vodka, Chambord, pineapple, passion fruit, lime, strawberry puree, and rose petals. Sunset Kiss ($15) This cocktail features mango infused Tito's vodka, Disaronno Amaretto, passion fruit, pineapple, and citrus. This cocktail tasted fruitier than Glamour Girl which I thoroughly enjoyed! I would definitely come back to try their other items! Food: 5/5 Interior: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Price: 4/5 IG: angelanomz

Yelp
Nice decorations dishes pricier than expected on Fraser. Would I return? Yes if I am in the area. They take reservations if you want to sit inside not at the street side "patio".

Amy D.

Yelp
The food isn't mind blowing but the aesthetics of the restaurant is really enticing. You'll notice they spent a lot of time creating the floral ceiling and cute photo opps around the restaurant. I would come once for the vibe but it wouldn't be my top Vietnamese restaurant of choice. COVID protocols: really good team checking in your vaccination passports. All staff wore masks. Spring rolls 5/5: very crispy, slightly chewy and just the perfect amount of stuffing. I would highly recommend BBH 3.5/5: wouldn't satisfy my usual BBH craving as this is much sweeter and not spicy at all but the quality of the noodles were great.

Yelp
Freaking amazing food that is to die for. The mango salad is so refreshing. My kids loved the honey wings and crispy shrimp. I ordered the vermicelli lemon chicken and wanted to lick the bowl. This place was amazing. A little expensive but worth it. Some of the best Vietnamese food that I have ever had.

Yelp
Live Colorfully @bonjourvietnambistro Bonjour Vietnam Bistro We have tried A5. Vietnamese Beef Carpaccio - Bò Tái Chanh Thinly-sliced peppercorn and sea salt crusted beef Garnished with fried garlic & onions, pickled shallots, cilantro, fresh herbs $18 The raw fresh tangy beef carpaccio were great starters. Taste: 4/5 P3. Beef Rib Pho - Phở Sườn Bò Fall-of-the-bone beef short ribs, green onions, cilantro, rice noodles, beef bone marrow broth $19 The staff recommended this pho to my friend. She loved the soup base. Taste: 4/5 B1. I got the grilled chicken. The pre-cut spring rolls were crispy and crunchy. The portion was good. Taste: 4/5 My friends also ordered two non-alcoholic drinks Raspberry Mojito Pineapple Fizz Both were soda drink with lots of fresh fruits inside. Taste: 4/5 This place is absolutely instagrammable! Yelp
Visited Bonjour Vietnam when it was first opened. I was surprised and impressed by its attentive customer service, almost felt like walking through the doors of a 5 star fine dining restaurant; the hostess/ host greeted and open the doors for all customers going in and leaving, frequently asked how the food are and making sure customers are satisfied with their food and orders, etc. Such customer services are unheard of for a Vietnamese fusion restaurant. Now fast forward it after many visits and taking friends here. Here is my experience 2 weeks ago. This time around, the opening door service was gone as I also noticed the last couple of visits including this time around, new crew of staffs, seating options were a bit awkward as I have to request a more comfortable table that's available then directed by the server. Anyways, here are the food we ordered as they no longer have the clams and fresh coconut drinks; 1) sugarcane shrimp skewers, they were nice and the sugarcane was tasty not dry 2) mango salad with grilled prawns, decent but wish the grilled prawns weren't so overcooked 3) the pho, the broth was tasty and meat were fresh 4) beef short rib pho, the beef short rib was nicely cooked and tender, literally also falls off the bone. I just find the broth slightly a bit too salty, otherwise it's good 5) grilled chicken skewers, fresh and tender Overall decent food. Had a bit of high hope for it when it first opened as it takes on a more attentive customer service, however, this time around some of that customer service was absent. Hopefully if I visit again next time, it will have that vibe like it was first opened. Before i would give it a solid 3-3.5 stars. This visit, it's a 2.5 star.

Yelp
Another great spot in town for Vietnamese food, with plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. I ordered take-out on a Thursday evening and my order was ready in 15 mins. I got the Miss Saigon Salad Rolls ($6 plus tax) and the Lemongrass Noodle Soup ($15). The salad rolls were tasty, though not all that creative. The filling contained was mostly tofu, vermicelli, and lettuce, with a touch of carrot and jicama. There was this crunchy stick of some sort that give this nice texture. The peanut sauce was really good. 4/5 The noodle soup had a lovely broth, which is what often makes or break these dishes. Lightly spicy, not too salty, and with a nice herbal depth and complexity -- haven't encountered a broth like this at other Vietnamese places. It came with a decent portionof medium thick noodles, tofu, and a nice assortment of veggies (broccoli, bok choy, carrot), plus the usual garnishes (bean sprouts, basil, lime). On the pricier side for veggie pho compared to other places in town, but the quality is worth it. Very enjoyable. 4.5/5 Extremely friendly and professional service. With the lemongrass noodle soup, it stands out to me amidst the many high-quality Vietnamese restaurants in town. Recommended.

Yelp
So my covid fatigue was getting to me. Had to get out to eat and wanted to try something new. I was in the area and decided to try Bonjour. Wow! So glad we came here. The ambience was great and the decor was bold but tasteful. The chill lounge house music added to the modern feel. We felt like we were on vacation for some reason. Just very relaxed and chill. The food was all excellent. Spring rolls were hot, crisp and not oily. The beef carpaccio had a nice balance of fried shallots and tangy dressing with just a hint of sweetness. Green mango salad was perfectly acidic with great grilled chicken skewers. The pork vermicelli bowl was perfectly balanced. The meat was tender and succulent and seasoned just right. Cocktails were delicious. I applaud the owner for being so daring as to open a brand new restaurant during these very interesting times. They are doing an excellent job and we will definitely recommend them and come back very soon!

Yelp
I wish we could have had a better experience here. While the food we could eat was delicious and the drinks were good, and the vibe is super cool in here.... The kitchen staff completely disregarded my wife's cilantro allergy. We understand cilantro is a big part of Vietnamese cuisine however we told our server she has a severe allergy to cilantro, and if something can't be done without it we will order something else for her. The server guaranteed it's no problem for them to do it without. The fried rice came with a massive cilantro on it, we told them we can't have cilantro and they took it and came back within a minute with a new fried rice without the cilantro, and we asked if they just picked it off which our server said yes. That is NOT acceptable for food allergies, you can't just pick off the cilantro, the dish is compromised. They then offered to make a new one which we declined, as we decided just to move on from it. It is pretty unprofessional for any kitchen staff to think this is okay and safe. Allergies must be taken seriously especially if we told them from the beginning. The pho came and it was very delicious, they assured there is no cilantro. However again we found tiny bits of cilantro in her pho, hidden near the bottom as she was eating. Once we saw and realized she stopped eating immediately, she didn't even get a quarter way through her pho before stopping, and we notified the staff. The server did apologize and offer to make another but by now she's lost her appetite, and her stomach is hurting so we just decided to pay and leave. Nothing was done about this other than the comp'd fried rice that we did not touch. We were quite disappointed in our overall experience, we were very looking forward to dining here but it is a shame that the kitchen staff did not take an allergy seriously. It is extremely unprofessional and I hope that they do better in the future, as we are all very lucky that the allergy wasn't anaphylactic.

Yelp
We wanted Vietnamese for dinner so decided to check out Bonjour Vietnam Bistro. They're located between Penang Bistro and Bâtard Bakery. We dropped in on a Wednesday evening (around 7:00pm) and it was fairly busy. We didn't have reservations but the wait was only 10 minutes. The inside is very hipster with flower covered ceilings, a flower hammock chair (for those Insta photos), hanging lanterns, neon pink signage and cushy pillows on their velvet blue seating. They play lounge house music and the lights are dimmed low (somehow it dimmed even lower once our food arrived). The menu consists of appetizers, salads, noodle soup, vermicelli, rice & BBQ, wok-fried and desserts. Prices are a couple dollars higher than most Vietnamese spots in town. - Herbs - basil, bean sprouts and lime wedge. Standard fare. - Bun bo hue (P5) ($16.00) - the broth was decent but doesn't stand out. This also isn't your traditional BBH as it lacked variety in meats and the noodle portion was disappointingly small. - Pho suon bo (P3) ($19.00) - easily one of the most expensive bowls of pho we've ordered. I will admit the broth was tasty; good depth but quite oily. Short ribs had a good mix of fat and meat. This was the winner of the two. - Bun thit nuong (B1) ($17.00) - J opted for the grilled pork vermicelli bowl. He liked the spring rolls best. This won't beat out any of my favourite Vietnamese spots in town but if you're looking for a cool, chic hipster place, BVB is for you.

Yelp
This place seems very busy, I had gone on a weekday before the rush hour and they expected us to only eat for an hour. We could sit on the bar area-which actually seems quite nice but I like to go for dining at a table more. Well they let us sit at the table but told us we can only sit for an hour, also the table area felt cold as we were close to the open door. So this place is definitely hyped up and they expect to be busy but still they should treat customer nice and give them a good dining experience rather than tell them to basically rush since I would like to sit comfortably and admire the atmosphere they created. The spring rolls costed $11 which are quite overpriced and it's very little bite sized. I don't understand why they cut it the way that they do, seems like you are getting ripped off but it's fine because it looks fancy I guess... the bun bo hue was $16 and I liked the bowl that it was in and the spoon and chopsticks are nice touches. The broth is very hot, you could see the steam rising from the hot temperature of the soup. It's great to cook the thinly sliced and slightly raw beef. The downside is that the noodles become over cooked, definitely breaking into pieces and too soft, as well they put bean sprouts already inside the soup, which have all disappeared. When I asked for bean sprouts they assured me it was inside the soup, but I literally only had a sliver of bean sprout. The soup is good, it's very rich, dark and more on the salty side I had asked for a hot spicy bun bo hue but I ended up with what I felt was a mild soup.

Yelp
We stopped by over the weekend for a late lunch. It was just past 2 pm and we were told we had to be finished by 4 pm. We were agreeable to the time limit as we did not make any reservations ahead of time. We ordered the beef rib pho, deluxe vermicelli salad noodle and iced Vietnamese coffee. Food arrived fairly quickly. We were very happy with the quality of the food. The beef rib pho had a decent amount of tender meat. The broth was very flavourful, and beefy. Noodles had the perfect chew. The vermicelli bowl was also fantastic. The spring roll was crispy. It was made with rice paper wrapper which I prefer over the wheat wrapper. I liked the airy crunch when biting into the spring roll. The filling was nicely seasoned. The deluxe option offered three different skewers. Each were made well and paired nicely with the noodles and salad. The iced Vietnamese coffee had less condensed milk than what I am used to. It was a bit more bitter in taste. Service was great. There was kids plates and cutlery available. The restaurant ambience is definitely Instagram worthy. Also, this restaurant would make a great option to hang out with friends or family as there is a good alcoholic drink menu. Price is a bit higher than average. However, I think rent and wages are expensive these days so this might be the new normal to pay $20 plus for a bowl of noodles.

Yelp
Every girl's photo heaven! This restaurant is all about the exciting tropical atmosphere with two key locations for ig worthy photos: 1) the hanging chair 2) the phone booth by the bar. Does the ambiance overcompensate for the food? Maybe a little, but it was definitely a fun experience coming here for the first time and there's really nothing like it in Vancouver! [Items Tried] Beef in Betel Leaf - Bò Lá Lốt (2/5) - $9 Taste: For two sticks of grilled beef, I would advise against getting this dish. It wasn't anything spectacular or flavourful, it wasn't served warm, and a tad on the drier side. Portion Size: 2 sticks - SMALL Spring Rolls - Chả Giò (4/5) - $9 Taste: Spring rolls are a basic dish, but hard to perfect. Bonjour Vietnam did a good job, the outside was crunchy & texturized while the inside was stuffed with a good amount of pork & veggies. Portion Size: 6 half pieces - SMALL Lemongrass Beef Noodle Soup - Bún Bò Huế (4/5) - $15 Taste: I really enjoyed these round rice noodles - the broth was satisfying, I thought there was a really fragrant scent from the use of lemongrass and they didn't skimp out on the herbs they used. The chili oil also gave the broth a nice kick, but it wasn't too spicy. The beef brisket was nice & tender. Portion: Good portion as an entrée for one. Tipsy in the Tropics (3/5) - $20 Taste: Cocktail in a pineapple - they even served the leftover blended drink in a little side glass. The cocktail was on the foamy side for me which I did not like, other than that it had a tropical blend to it and was a decent level of booziness - I could definitely taste the hard liquor. Portion Size: Good for two to share. [Value for Money] Overall, I'm come to visit once just for the quaint experience, but be careful what you choose to eat, some of it is just not worth it for the price portion-wise - stick with the mains and you should be OK.

Yelp
Looooved this place so much!! The interior is so fun and colorful, everything from the flowers to the furniture to the plates and bowls. Now the food was also amazing - honestly some of the best Vietnamese food I've ever had! Broth was really flavorful and rich and the portions were incredibly generous too (a lot of meat in the pho)! The spring rolls in the vermicelli bowl were so crispy on the outside Would love to come back here again! But next time I'd make a reservation as it was really busy and we had to wait around 40 minutes to get a table.

Yelp
Felt like we were dining at an indoor garden! Even before stepping foot into the restaurant, you can see the abundance of floral decor and lantern lighting There are plants hanging from the ceiling and neon lights around the walls. Definitely a spot to hit for Instagram photos !! You're paying for the experience and environment, rather than the food. Portions were decent and dishes were definitely westernized. They can't beat our favourite Vietnamese restaurants across Vancouver, but they win first place for ambiance and chic atmosphere.

Yelp
Loveeeee the experience today at the place! When I saw the photos of this place on Yelp Vancouver insta, I knew I want to check out this place, at least for photos! And I was not disappointed. It was beautifully decorated, definitely for insta photos with so many corner for your picture. They have faux flowers combined with real palm tree and other green tree. Vietnamese lantern are used with warm yellow like making it like inside a fairy tale. And the best thing is: FOOD WAS FORKING DELICIOUS! We got: - Spring rolls for appetizer - betel leafs beef skewers (one order has 2 skews so you can add a half order if you have 3 ppl) - beef ribs pho - bun thit nuong - bun bo hue Spring rolls are not really traditional with a different wrapper than other restaurants. Their basket of veggies has only one or two lettuce leaves which I would prefer a bit more. Betel leaf beef skewers are tasty but I wish they could make the leaves crunchier. The traditional way of making them is frying so the leaf often got very crunchy outside. Pho broth is so fresh yet rich from beef bone marrow. However I love the Bun Bo Hue broth more! It got the flavourful spicy that you have to measure carefully between burning your tongue and not enough spicy. Bun thit nuong's grilled pork are delicious! We didn't have any belly space for dessert since the portions of main dish is pretty big. On that note, appetizer portion is rather small. Personally I think their food menu is a bit limited while drink menu is fairly big, all the way from traditional Vietnamese drink to cocktail, beer and wine. Drink are super good! I cant wait until they can fully open and take in more bar seat to come back just for a drink. All in all my rating are: Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 (friendly, attentive staffs) Price: 3.5/5 (a bit pricy, but delicious high quality food can't be cheap) Decor: 5/5 (not entirely vietnamese but it's like magical Vietnam) Location: 4/5 easy to get to and lots of street parking nearby

Yelp
I can't believe it took me this long to visit this restaurant! After seeing it many times on social media I finally decided to try. I initially thought that it would be one of those restaurants that everyone hyped up or went because it was "trendy" but I see why after many months this restaurant is still so busy! The spring rolls were super crunchy and the lemongrass chicken was extremely fragrant. I've been struggling to find a restaurant that serves lemongrass chicken where you can actually taste the lemongrass so I was pleasantly surprised. Service was a little bit slow at times due to how busy it was but every time a waiter or waitress came by they provided us with great service.

Yelp
Under normal circumstances, I'd give it at least a 4 star, but with the changes businesses need to make to keep their spaces safe for everyone, it needs to be considered. If you want to come here, you'll need to make a reservation. That's because this place is busy. And it's packed - might not be for everyone during these times. We were sat next to another table with nothing but a short pane of glass between us. Staff all wear clear face shields or face coverings. The decor, though perhaps theme appropriate, makes the space feel smaller than it actually (already) is. Also, the thought of having to clean all that surface area makes me wonder how much dust might be hiding in it. As for the food, it was tasty and items like the beef in betel leaf leaves me hoping to see more of the (currently) limited menu compared to their web menu. Presentation and freshness of ingredients were top notch. The prices, however, push the upper limit for restaurants that are much more established than this (looking at Anh and Chi)

Yelp
This is not you ordinary Vietnamese restaurant. The atmosphere of this place is amazing and lively! It's great for friends night out. The parking in this restaurant may be a little tough as this street is fairly busy at times and street pay parking. Staffs are super friendly and fun! Super accommodating! I woud recommend making reservations if you decide to go as it gets auite busy and for you guys to get a good spot in the restaurant for pictures!! Let's talk about the food!!! Their food are mostly good for one person so i would recommend ordering lots for sharing instead. They're good and presentation is like Beef Carpaccio is amazing!! Green Mango Saladit was sooo good!! When it comes to the pricing, i thinking having a nice atmosphere has its price so youguys what i mean by it already but if I honestly enjoyed it and having my quality time with friends was great!

Yelp
Really modern, cute and floral Vietnamese restaurant with tasty food and instagramable backdrops. I ordered the Vermicelli Salad Noodle Deluxe which came with spring rolls, grilled chicken, grilled pork on top of vermicelli noodles, carrots and cucumbers. It was beautifully presented, tasted great and hit the spot. My partner ordered the BBQ Duo which came with grilled pork chops and lemon grass chicken with a huge helping of rice. The meats were delicious and savoury and cooked to perfection. I would say the food is on par with Anh and Chi without the crazy waits. Price wise, not too bad considering you get a pretty decent serving size. Will definitely be back for my Vietnamese fix.

Yelp
Went here with My gf for a night out! Everything here was totally her style, the food, drinks, ambience. She really enjoyed it! I too had a great time here. Service was also top notch. Servers were friendly and made sure to check up once in awhile unlike a few places I've been to. Prawn skewers were tasty paired with the papa salad. The Beef Rib Pho was also some of the best I've had. Would come back again!

Yelp
Literally a spiritual experience, The food was outstanding. Highly recommend for a date night

Yelp
Interior during Phase 3 during dinner on June 30. We were seated at a table for 4 ppl. I sat in a seat by a glass (my right) that was about 4.5 feet high "separating" my table with another table. I kept myself turned facing to my left but definitely not 2 meters (6 feet apart). The employees were all wearing face shields. Every table was occupied and visually questioned if 2m/6 feet between tables? Check my photo. Interesting interior. Food wise, was really tasty and delicious. My husband and good friend (in our circle) did the ordering so I can't remember what the name of each dish. Photos will do the talking. Don't plan to come back unless they adjust the table distancing 2m.

Yelp
Had takeout from here the other week and loved it! Was ready in about 20 minutes and service was very friendly. I had salad rolls and spring rolls and the spring rolls in particular were great, unique from other vietnamese springs rolls I've had. Quality and value were good. I will definitely order from here again!

Yelp
Great viet pho of many kinds, with nice decor and friendly service. We went for lunch on the weekend and got the last table for 3 (they looked quite busy). Would recommend stopping by for a cocktail and some BBH!

Yelp
Some of the best pho I've ever had. Brisket is so tender. Really needed to warm my body & soul on this cold January day. Absolutely beautiful aesthetic in restaurant. Good music, and not too loud. Great ambiance. Service is fantastic. Also, the chilli oil is epic! Will def be back, highly recommend

Yelp
Bonjour opened admist Covid, they have done a great job to maintain social distance between tables. They also asked guests to sanitize before seating. My first impression was "WOW, how beautiful the restaurant is!". From the flower pillar and ceiling to the wallpapers, everything looks so magical. The servers were polite and friendly! In term of food, everything I tried was delicious - Spring rolls: crispy and well seasoned - Mango Salad: refreshing and better than most of the restaurants in town - Chicken Skewers: very well seasoned and tender - Hu tieu xao (stir fried noodles): flavourful and not too oily - Banana bread dessert: warm, creamy and not too sweet Overall, I love this place and will come back to try more!

Yelp
Wanted to try this restaurant when we saw it IG. It's just another Vietnamese restaurant with a higher price tag. Yes, the place looks great. But time will judge how all the flowers that hanging from the ceiling will get clean and dust. Will have to come back after all the things have settle. The food on the other hand was so so. There are many other Vietnamese restaurant out there, that don't have the decor, and the food taste slightly better then this place. Service was great. Like I said. We will have to wait to see if the cobweb and ventilation gets clean up?

Yelp
What a fun place! I loved the experience here, it was like I was in a secret garden party. We got The Pho, which is Phở đặc biệt ($15), Spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup aka Bún bò huế ($15) and Spring rolls ($9). My only little complaint was you can't call it a phở đặc biệt if it only comes with 2 kinds of meat . I was missing all the other varieties of meat and textures like beef tripe, beef balls and beef tendon. BUT the broth and noodles makes up for it it was so flavorful, I could have easily drank the whole bowl. The bún bò huế was good but nothing special, tasted like a lot of other places. The fun atmosphere, good service, delicious broth and spring rolls are enough to bring me back here

Yelp
This place is definitely photo worthy! They are also super busy and the wait time is super long. We waited about 45 minutes. * A6 chicken skewer ($9) ~ smells amazing, 2 skewers, super juicy and tender, nice flavours and the peanut adds good texture. Not exactly worth $9 though. * P3 beef rib pho ($18) ~ thin noodles, super rich and flavourful soup based love how there is beef bone in the soup! Super delicious. The beef is so tender and melts in your mouth! * P5 spicy lemongrass beef noodle soup ($15) ~ super rich broth, loved how much meat was in the dish! 100% recommend. Thick noodles too. * Saigon 75 ($14) ~ very strong and subtle sweet, a subtle taste of lychee in the drink! Not a drink I'd get again. * Pineapple fizz ($7) ~ super refreshing, the pineapple taste is very prominent and tasted delicious. I recommend this nonalcoholic drink! * 9/10 - everything was so good, I did wish the Saigon 75 was a bit sweeter and I wished the skewers was more worth it. * 6/10 - the portions were pretty decent, and the noodles had loads of meat in it! Definitely coming again! Total bill before tip: $67.55

Yelp
BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR! This place has wonderful interior and the food is warm for the soul. Dress up and take cute photos as everything inside is floral! Food we ordered: Mango Salad : for those that likes the tangy, citrus flavours. It was refreshing Crispy Spring Rolls: this tasted generic but the presentation is cute Beef Sashimi: this was delicious if you like beef sashimi with citrus and herbs. This was my favourite dish out of all of them Beef Rib Pho Pho Son Bo: it was generic, has flavour and warms up the soul Prawn Salad Roll: generic, I wouldn't get this dish as you can buy anywhere else for cheaper Overall: price is decent, interior is beautiful and the customer service was wonderful. Very welcoming and kind. B

Yelp
Bonjour Vietnam? More like Au revoir viet nam. Nice decor and ambience. Prices are quite high and I did not expect the unpleasant aftertaste of MSG after my meal. Dry mouth for hours.

Yelp
Bonjour cheap ... The owner(s) sure loves to trick people.. where's the noodles?! Reward goes to them for #1 smallest portion of pho noodles in the entire world. $15 for less than what you get in a pack of instant noodles. It was not even "high" quality which was the saddest part!! :( All you leave here with is a dry-mouth full of MSG. They also wrap the salad rolls extremely tight with plastic wrap so it was barely noticeable which also made it very difficult to remove. It was also very tiny compared to all of the Vietnamese restaurants and cafes here in Vancouver. Also not any better quality than any other Vietnamese spots. :( Sugarcane shrimp was very delicious. The sugarcane stick was full of juice! :) $5 per stick though is just sadly ridiculous. I paid a total of $35 for what should've really been $24-$26 at max. Overall, despite the restaurant itself having a lot of decorations and friendly + quick staff.. The pricing here in return for what you receive is completely tax. I recommend for anyone who is reading this review to go to Cafe Dang Anh, Mr. Red Cafe, or any other Vietnamese spot along Victoria Dr. Between E 33rd & 41st. $35 will go a long way and will be worth it all around :) "AUTHENTIC" spots actually worth your time and $$$: Cafe Xu Hue -- "BEST" Bun Bo Hue Cafe Dang Anh -- "BEST" Bun Rieu Cha Ca (Crab Meat & Fish Cake) Vermicelli Green Lemongrass -- "BOMB" Lemongrass Chicken My Chau -- "BEST" Pho Ga (Chicken Soup) & Crispy Chicken Mr. Red Cafe -- Unique appetizers, Amazing Vietnam variety Thanh Xuan Cafe -- "BEST" Banh Cuon 'Rice Rolls' in town Hoi An Cafe -- "GOOD" variety of unique small appetizers and "TASTY" Pho as well Highly recommend their 11. Com bo kho as well as the 3. Tapioca dumplings Very proper portions and truly authentic :) Pho Duy -- "GOOD" Pho :) No quality nor quality. Just greed. The owner should be ashamed! Definitely structured to fool people out of their hard earned money. Even Gold Train 24 Hour Express on Kingsway & Joyce is better!!! Atrocious.

Yelp
I love this place it has my favourite drink from my country The Zanzibar escape, very family star and it's very beautiful the flower decor, and the food is amazing Definitely will be coming back with

Yelp
Not only is the atmosphere vibin', the food here was so GOOD! At first we thought that it was on the pricey side for pho, but it was worth every dollar. Please just take our money. We're already planning for our next visit. The pho broth was infused with bone marrow, which added a hint of sweetness and creaminess to the broth. The texture of their noodles weren't soggy, it actually had chewiness to it. For what you pay, they did not cheap out on the meat and the noodles. We also got the vermicelli bowl that came with chicken skewers and spring rolls. We can taste the grilled taste from the chicken skewer and that added so much more flavour to the bowl. The chicken skewers were cooked to perfection on the grill! also, the spring rolls were probably the best Vietnamese spring rolls we've ever had. It was packed with pork, shrimp, carrots, mushrooms, bean thread, vermicelli, and taro. You can really taste the high quality and fresh ingredients they use. IG: Mingmiineats

Yelp
When we found out that a new phó restaurant was opening up, we had to try it out! Our family is a big fan of phó. When we arrived at Bonjour Vietnam Bistro, we were greeted with a colorful atmosphere! It was obvious that they put great thought into creating the world of Vietnam, a little space of home, It isn't a magical world by any stretch of the imagination, but you can tell that the restaurant put a lot of thought into their ambiance. It shows. I appreciated the atmosphere they were able to create. The pricing is decent. A little more on the expensive side compared to some other phó places around town. Would I come here frequently? Probably not. It's good, but it's not that good that we would come here often. I like a few other phó restaurants in town that I would consider is worth my dollar a bit more than Bonjour Vietnam Bistro. With that being said. We still appreciated the food here! We ordered the following: - Beef Rib Pho - Phở Sờn Bò (P3) - Papaya Salad - Gỏi Đu Đủ (S1) - Bonjour Vietnam (A1) We were quite full, and we were a family of three! The food was absolutely delicious, and the waiters and waitresses were very attentive, kind, and considerate, making sure to swing by every now and again asking us if everything is ok and if we needed anything. The location of the restaurant is good. It's around King Ed Ave and Fraser St., so it's quite central in the city, and the neighborhood does not have paid parking (not that we are aware of at the time of this review). So you can easily find free parking in the neighborhood - which is great! If you're looking to get here by public transit - there is no Skytrain access, unfortunately. The closest Skytrain station you're looking at is probably Oakridge (Cambie St. and 41st) OR Commercial Drive Station - both of those stations are quite a ways from Bonjour Vietnam Bistro. Best bet, for public transport, is to get here by bus, or by car. We'd recommend this place to check out and try, if you haven't already! There's a growing number of Vietnamese restaurants - many of them are quite similar, but Bonjour has some unique offerings that many other Vietnamese restaurants don't seem to be offering. Check them out, support local business! My rundown for Bonjour: Location - 4.5/5 (because, free parking!) Price - 3.5/5 Food - 4/5 Ambiance - 4/5 Service - 4/5
