These Are the 16 Stalls Coming in May to Frank Bonanno’s Milk Market | Eater Denver

"A pizzeria producing New York–style pies that are hand-tossed, thin and foldable, aimed at classic slice and pie service." - Josie Sexton

My wife and I tried the meatball sub and a chocolate-strawberry cannoli. We’re not usually big cannoli people, but this one looked great and tasted even better. The strawberry flavor was fresh, not too sweet, and the shell was perfectly crunchy. The meatballs were flavorful, the sauce was solid, and the bread had a nice crust with a soft interior. We didn’t try the pizza, but everything we ordered was really good. The guy who took our order was also very friendly.

Google
Ordered a Margherita pizza and it was a letdown. The dough was undercooked, the sauce bland, and the whole thing overly salty. For such a simple pizza, they really missed the mark.

Google
First stop in Denver was at Denver Milk Market and we ordered the Kitchen Sink from here. It was a perfect crust with a nice crunch and chewy dough. However, the toppings could be more flavorful and more covered. Also we had asked for no black olives and received them. @phidingthefam

Google
Good pizza, great place! Fast service. All around an awesome place to visit while in Denver. They put WAY too much truffle oil on their pizzas though. Highly recommend staying away from that pizza.

Google
The pizza was delicious! Had a peperoni my buddy had a margarita, both were fantastic! It was 16 dollars plus the tip, but worth it! The staff was friendly, the only odd thing was that it felt like a cafeteria seating arrangement. But besides that it was good!

Google
Came here to eat on vacation from Tennessee. The pizza sauce was horrible and tasted like store bought sauce. Cheese wasn’t melted. Tip was included in the price. The best part was the packets of Parmesan that I had to add (8) to make it edible. Do not dine here if possible. There’s another pizza place inside better.

Google
Hands down the best pizza I have had in the US. I got the margerita pizza and I am gluten-free. Everything about this pizza was delicious and fresh. The sauce is absolutely fantastic, wonderful crust and it was cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to go back!

Google
First time coming to Milk Market and I’m disappointed. Pizza sauce tasted like straight up concentrate, awful. I could not finish the pizza. They included tip in the bill, no wonder they wouldn't get any tips if they didn't. AWFUL I have the worst stomach ache from their pizza. Eat ANYWHERE else.

Yelp
The Pizzas all LOOK amazing! Even though my pizza looked as amazing as the others, it just didn't deliver in taste. This restaurant is in the Milk Market, a food hall. There are quite a few restaurant options here. Pizza sounded like a safe bet. There's only 6 items on their menu and they are all just different pizzas. Should be perfect! I ordered at the counter, was given a pager, and waited for it buzz. Then I went to pick up and bring my pizza to my space at the counter. The pizza was $22 which was kind of pricy for me. When the lady told me the total was $29.08, I was in shock! Why so much? Well, she told me there's a 22% fee added called "CHP" = Creating Happy People. I wasn't happy about it, but I'm not one of the people they're trying to make happy with that fee. LOL. I don't know if she finished the transaction for me or if it was automatic, but either way, I wasn't given the option to leave a tip. That's fair. I had just left a tip (on top of the 22%) at the prior place I got something from because the POS machine asked & the amount was so miniscule it didn't compute in my brain. They hand-toss the dough fresh and assemble it in plain sight. You can watch pizzas being cooked in the pizza oven. I watched from the counter seating pretty much in front of them. It gave me something to do as I waited approximately 30 minutes for my pizza. The Kitchen Sink pizza I got was just average. I smothered it with crushed red pepper flakes. I didn't really care for the pizza. It seemed to be missing something even though it had pepperoni, sausage, black olive, red onion, mushroom, ricotta, & mozzarella. It needed a little zing! The crust was good. I ate a couple slices and took the rest home. My son who eats just about everything said it was "Just okay". He finished his slice but definitely wasn't impressed. In addition to the mediocre pizza with the automatic addition of the CHP hospitality fee, I doubt I will return to order another pizza here.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this spot while we were walking around the Milk Market and were happily surprised! The cheese on the cheese pizza was melty and the crust was perfectly crispy when we went off to grab the food (you get a buzzer and wait to for it to go off to pick up your food). It was the ideal snack to munch on while we sat at Moo Bar and grabbed a drink. Would definitely recommend grabbing if you find yourself at the Milk Market or Moo Bar!

Yelp
Stopping in for a bite before heading to the Rockies game, my husband and I thought pizza sounded delicious and settled on Bonanno Bro's pizza for our meal. It's an order at the counter from a QR code kind of place, which I happily did, and began to wait. After about an hour of waiting (and seeing other people's food delivered) I realized I had placed our order "to-go" without realizing it and the man behind the counter lead me to the adjacent room, where our pizza was, sitting on a shelf...and had been for the past 25 minutes. FAIL on my part! Despite how stupid I felt, I apparently hadn't read the directions very well when placing my order - so pay attention! Ha! Despite the long wait, our pizza was very good. We opted for the Pepperoni, as it's a mere $12! The crust was light, crispy and the perfect size for two people to split. I'd easily grab another pie here when in the area.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in the milk market, which is super cute! I got the prosciutto pizza. The crust was super thin to the point where the pizza was hard to pick up and eat. The pizza itself was good. I thought it was pricy for a pizza.

Yelp
This pizza always slaps and it took less than 15 minutes to come out! Not to mention the vibes inside of the milk market are always good!

David P.

Yelp
Absolute trash pizza. Soggy. Floppy. Awful. Overpriced. Pizza by the slice is trash. Don't eat here
google avatar

Yelp
The pizza was really good but honestly it wasn't worth the price to me , it was $22 for like a medium sized pizza, the fees that they charge were ridiculous in my opinion. The only reason it's 4 stars is because the pizza was good, the service was good, and it's cooked in a fire oven.

Peter L.

Yelp
Unsure how they "ran out of slices" while still selling Pies... Can easily make a pie and cut it. Highly dissatisfying....

Yelp
First time here last night and our pizzas hit the spot. Our group ordered three: Carne, Mushroom with Truffle Sauce + Sausage, and Veal Meatball. The sausage on the mushroom pizza was unexpectedly really spicy, so if I went back, I'd just get it as is. Always love truffle sauce, which was the best part of all. Vibe was really lively and fun in the Milk Market and service was fairly quick. Bar seating was plentiful and overall, we had a great experience!

Yelp
I was craving pizza and this place definitely hits the spot! The portions are big, the flavor is kicking, and it was made fresh out of the oven. There are some unique flavors on the menu, so I am definitely curious about how the others taste but if you are at the milk market and want some cheesy goodness, then this is the place to be.

Yelp
Came to the dairy block for a holiday market and stopped by to try the pizza. Definitely one of the best pizzas i've had!
google avatar

Ali L.

Yelp
Just meh. The crust was delicious and pretty much the only good thing about this pizza. I ordered the margarita which had no flavor - the sauce was okay but under salted, the basil wasn't fresh, and the cheese was bland. My fiancé ordered the chicken parm pizza, which as basically a cheese pizza with chopped up chicken nuggets on top. Very boring. We're pizza people and didn't even bring the leftovers home.

Yelp
Get your pie made by bare hands, ask for it well done, enjoy your raw dough. Cheers Brothers, may you learn some pride.

Yelp
Denver Milk Market. Outstanding Pizza, not much else to say. We had the Carbonara pie and it was one of the better non red sauce pizzas I've had. Definitely will be back.

Abigail W.

Yelp
such a great environment! I brought my dad here while he was visiting from out of town and he said it was some of the best pizza ever! will for sure be back for this!

Heather S.

Yelp
Excellent pizza offerings. Ruins overall experience with the obnoxiously loud employee screaming out names for orders that are ready. The milk market gives out order numbers. Perhaps instead of screaming walk the orders out to patrons.

Michelle E.

Yelp
The menu is small but spectacular, if you're craving a crispy, cheesy pizza then this is where you want to be.I ordered a "simple" pizza (Red sauce & mozzarella) and it was simply delicious. There is limited staff but they are nice and very open minded.I would definitely recommend this place to everyone that doesn't want to be disappointed in their choice of dining and who loves pizza!

Jonah B.

Yelp
it is fun watching the kneading of the dough, and of the cheese being put on the pizza. Tastes fantastic and is cooked perfectl.

Genevieve S.

Yelp
Tasty pizza, crust wasn't crusty, actually more on the limp side, but really tasty. Pleasant servers. So very noisy, don't conducive to conversation.
google avatar

Jax R.

Yelp
Way way over priced. Ordered 2 pizzas for $45. One pizza was soggy and not good and the other was mediocre and lacked flavor. You would get better pizza for a better price almost anywhere else. They were rude at the counter and seemed annoyed they they had to ring anyone up. Will not be going back.

Yelp
I was spoiled when stopped by on opening weekend and Frank was flipping pies. Only wish the taste lived up to the fun experience. It's fine, just nothing special. Too bad!

Yelp
Gluten free pizza was $26 first of all. You better be giving me the best GF pizza crust I've ever had in my life for that price. We were with 2 people who don't eat GF so we had to do it. The mushrooms on top were cooked and so was the sauce under the hard glaze of cheese. I'm guessing the oven is way too hot and just cooks the outside layers. Not worth the money out even half the amount. For a Frank Bonanno place, I'm very disappointed

Dylan G.

Yelp
The gluten free pizza here is the best in the world. I'm telling you from experience - I've travelled far and wide looking for it - and it's here in Denver. Nothing beats this pizza, except maybe the friendly staff. Always happy to come here when I roll through town.

Molly G.

Yelp
Pizza was pretty good...I'd give it a 3.5-4 out of 5. But dude....$8 extra for gluten free is NOT OK. As a lifelong celiac, I do understand that GF ingredients are pricier and I'm always willing to pay the extra $2, $3, even $5 extra. $8 extra is insane. It was decent but not the best GF pizza in Denver by any stretch, which it better be for an $8 up charge. I hate to give 3 stars based on price/value, but please guys, this is excessive.

Eaon R.

Yelp
Surprisingly good and friendly fast service. Located in the milk market so, the scene is lively and convenient for entertaining a cocktail at the nearby bar. I'd definitely order from here again (we got the simple pan pizza). Reasonably priced at $10 per pizza, it's more than enough to share with another person...cheap date night anyone?! This is the spot then.

Richard R.

Yelp
During the St, Patrick's Day Parade my wife and I thought we would give the Denver Milk Market a try and we were not disappointed with the taste of the pizza. We sat at the bar counter and my seat was very uncomfortable and there was no foot rail to put my feet on. I've had better pizza at a lower price at another place(Pizza Studio), but it was still a very good pizza for an okay price. The service was very good but we were not offer any drinks except wine and I don't drink alcohol so we had warm water. If we're in the area we might go back. My wife gives it 4 stars and I give them 3.5 stars.
