The 15 Hottest New Restaurants in Paris

"At long last there’s a terrific place to have a meal before or after a visit to the famous Marché aux Puces, the flea market on the edge of Paris in Saint Ouen. Chef Alcidia Vulbeau, who formerly cooked at Frenchie, opened this bistrot a vins with white-washed walls, bare wood tables, and some appropriately retro bric-a-brac a couple of months ago. It’s been crowded ever since with antique mavens and local bobos who love its great list of organic, natural, and biodynamic wines and eclectic menu. During the week, it serves two good-value prix-fixe menus — two courses for 15 euros, three for 18 euros at lunch — and then goes a la carte for the same meal on the weekends. In the evening, there are cheese and charcuterie plates, along with a weekend-only tapas menu. The chalkboard specials change regularly, but expect dishes like grilled leeks with crushed hazelnuts in soy-cider vinaigrette, soba with duck breast and grilled shiitake mushrooms, and barley risotto with cockles and mussels." - Alexander Lobrano

The œuf parfait was exactly that!! perfectly delicious! also how do they make corn taste so so good, yum. I had the veal for a main and it was succulent and flavourful. The seating was a bit crowded but apart from that the experience was delightful 😊

On a rainy winter day we stopped in this charming little bistrot, the service was very friendly and the food was very tasty, seasonal and with a though if spiciness to make very interesting and different from usual. I definitely recommend visiting this nice spot a few steps away from the flea market, to enjoy their food and wines!

4.7 stars. Delightful lunch stop in the heart of the flea markets. Don’t miss the delicious lasagna appetizer as well as the cod plate. Highly recommended.

I'm sure most people visiting the flea market are searching for a satisfying lunch, and I was no exception. Having heard numerous rave reviews about this place, I made a reservation in advance. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and decided to start with the pesto burrata accompanied by a fried zucchini flower, followed by gnocchi with peas and asparagus. The fusion cuisine offered a unique twist, and while the food was enjoyable, it didn't quite reach the level of excellence that some reviews had led me to expect. I believe there are likely other hidden gems to explore around les puces de St Ouen.

We lucked out by being able to do a walk in because as we soon noticed this place gets packed. So I highly recommend getting a reservation if possible. The menus is small but the complexity of each dish makes it a great variety. The menu is only in French but the waiters gladly explain each dish to us. I had the duck on a bed of hummus and rice along with a small green salad. I thought it was delicious but a bit tough to cut. My friend had the pasta and raved that the eggplant was super delicious and really flavorful making the dish a 10/10. What we both really enjoy was the yogurt dip you could order as a starter. It was super delicious and we took some home. I’d say price point wise the main dishes ran at about 24€ but they only serve seasonal items so it’s def worth the visit.

I rarely give 5 stars to any restaurant, but this one deserves it 100%. We didn't have any reservations and it was almost closing time. The staff were very friendly to take us in. The service all throughout was excellent and the food was unreal! Definitely recommended if someone is coming to Paris. Its also closer to the flea market. The wine selection was great and the vibe was really good.

Yelp
Really good food, very tasty. Patchy service though. I made a reservation and one waiter sat me down while the other one told me the table was for someone else :) when he realised it was for me, he quickly set it up and brought the menu. Food was delicious but I waited for 20 minutes in vain to order a coffee, and when I went to the loo my water glass disappeared. So I took it as a hint to leave and went to pay the bill. The girl at the till apologised and offered me a coffee to go but I was in a rush so thanked her and didn't take up on the offer. What wasn't pleasant was that she told off the guys in front of me. Fair enough they could have served better but no need for public scolding... I don't know, made me feel awkward and I wanted to leave. They seemed very busy which is a good sign, probably everyone enjoyed the food as much as I did. It was delish! If they make service less french and more British :) they would definitely win!
