"Is there anything France's talented female chefs can't do? Charlotte Bauduret – Bonnie is her maiden name – brings together her two passions at this establishment: cooking (modern, vibrant, indulgent, rooted in tradition but elevated with personal touches) and the applied arts. She herself painted the large floral frescoes on the walls and created the restaurant's entire visual identity. Her partner, meanwhile, provides enthusiastic service and dispenses expert advice on wine pairings. On the menu: asparagus roll with pine nuts and guanciale; cod with kombu and tarragon-infused pea mousseline; broad-bean gnocchi in a creamy artichoke and parmesan sauce." - Michelin Inspector

Our Favourite Rooftop Spots in Paris to Eat, Drink, and Enjoy

"Since it opened in 2022, SO/Paris has consistently been winning over anyone with a weakness for beautiful views over Paris. This glass-clad tower on the banks of the Seine has been completely renovated and refurbished. The panoramic 15th-floor rooftop venue is the realm of Le Bonnie, where you can have lunch with a view of Notre-Dame's spire, or sip on a drink as you bask in the feeling of floating above the city." - The MICHELIN Guide

Starting with the highlights...if you are looking for a sunset view over Paris and a dining experience with DJ track dominating the background then this may be the dining location for you at Bonnie located on the top floor of a hotel. However, we had a fairly negative experience. When reserving we asked if we could request an outdoor balcony seat. Told no. When arriving we asked if we could have an outdoor seat and told no, there was only availability for a table of two and not three. We were then sat underneath a speaker with very loud dance music and were accommodated when asked to be moved. We ordered three glasses of champagne and asked for tap water on the table but had single water glasses provided that were never refilled. Upon getting the menu we expressed we wanted to share a range of dishes - including the most expensive dish on the menu - and were told we hadn't met a minimum threshold for ordering and had to add another dish. The dishes then all came out separately (presumably as they couldn't fit on the small table we were at). One of the pasta dishes we ordered was the wrong dish and was promptly replaced. We decided to go elsewhere rather than have a sweet in Bonnie. When we received the bill it had additional items on it which we had to ask to be removed. All in all, food was okay, menu limited, but a very poor service experience from start to finish. Targeted at a hip crowd but aiming at more style over substance.

We wanted to celebrate my brother's 30th birthday with a special dinner, and I love the view from Bonnie's at the SO/ Hotel. We emailed to make a reservation for the terrace, and although we thought it was confirmed, it turned out it wasn't. Upon arrival, the hostess advised us to go upstairs since they had no record of our reservation. It wasn’t busy at 7:30 pm, so we were hopeful. However, the host upstairs seemed to be on a power trip. When we explained our situation, he dismissively said he would decide whether we could stay, and when he finally gave us a table, he condescendingly asked, "Happy now?" Fortunately, our server was amazing and helped improve our mood. The cocktails and food were enjoyable, but the view was the real star of the show. As we were leaving and dancing to the music, the same host walked by and sarcastically remarked, "Wow." I'm not sure if being judgmental is part of their brand persona, but it was a significant turn-off for an otherwise memorable evening.

I came here for my 31st birthday. What struck out to me was the menu, which suited our palettes and was still French inspired, as well as the AMAZING view of the Eiffel Tower while enjoying dinner. There are tables where you can sit inside and outside tables that had blankets if it's chilly. We opted for an inside table just because we felt we would still be cold outside. The place is STUNNING. It truly encapsulates fine dining. The service was amazing. Our waiter was so accommodating and nice. The food was great! We got the truffled grilled cheese, goat cheese with caramelized eggplant salad, steak frites, tomato salad, and salmon. The grilled cheese was a 10/10!!!! It was so buttery and just the right about of truffle. The salad was great, as per my friends. I don't prefer goat cheese. I did have a taste of the eggplant and now I want my eggplant caramelized at all times. The steak frites hit the spot; 8/10. It was cooked to my liking and a nice portion. The tomato salad was refreshing; 9/10. For dessert, I got the lava cake, YUM!!; 10/10. My friend got the cheesecake which was so creamy and delicious, 10/10. Overall, I recommend Bonnie's for an upscale dining experience that is suitable for many eaters.

Loved this place so much! It is like a one stop for resto-bar-club, we did not need to face the traffic of Paris to go spend our night out. We had dinner at the 15th floor at 7pm, the golden hour was the best!! Then after we moved to the Lounge on the 16th floor, and then moved to the club at midnight. The crowd was good, loved the vibe and music!! Literally a worthy place to go to!! ♥️♥️♥️

Well this was a disappointment. How as a restaurant owner can you get it so wrong when you have such an amazing venue. So the positives first. The venue is great, the view, the interior design. This must be one of the best views you can get of Paris for Dinner and ideal for some special evening. Ok that is where the positives end sorry. The Food: So bad. Surprisingly bad. This was over price average pub food. No effort, no quality in the meets and products, poor presentation. The price is ridiculous for the quality of what they are serving. I expected so much better from this venue and Paris. My 55Euro steak should be 15Euro in a road side cafe. Check out the picture. We tried four dishes in the evening and each were equally average and served at 3 x their quality value. Lazy. Drinks: Again over priced with a ridiculous markup. Which you can excuse if they got the food and service right. Service: I think I was lucky and actually got a good waiter, but there were so few members of serving staff he was worked off his feet and no time to serve, talk or provide much attention. I ended up pouring my own drinks / champagne. The pair at the front desk were as welcoming as grumpy bouncer for a club. What has happened to the art of customer service?? They were put their to look good but provide no personality. Look if you want the view I would suggest you eat somewhere else for dinner and then go to the Bonnie Bar (level 16) to end your evening. Same great view, much better service and some good music.

You definitely do not go there to have the best drink in Paris, but you definitely go there to enjoy an amazing view over Paris while having a drink. Service is up to the standards and the staff is friendly. The view is very lovely.. The drinks are OK but the price of the drinks is most likely for the view and not the drink itself..
