Bonni's Pizza & Subs

Delicious. Pizza is different style as previous restaurant before Bonni's took over. But so fresh and tasty. Clam chowder, large pizza with sausage and peppers (cut triangles which is different but who cares?), and a sub. Toppings were so fresh. I can't wait to go back. Updated 5/8: stopped in a grabbed two subs. Italian and steak and cheese. Fresh and delicious. These subs were loaded. Owner is very cool and supportive of local restaurants.

Was exited to try Bonni’s sandwiches as I grew up just outside of Boston and I’d heard she was kicking out some east coast (Boston) sandwiches.. thankfully, they didn’t disappoint. The steak sandwich.. stuffed with shaved steak, peppers, and white American cheese. it was absolutely incredible… I’ve since sent two friends in and both thanked me. As far as the Italian… it’s just like I’d hoped it’d be.. Italian meats, red cherry pepper relish (no giardiniera), lettuce, tomatoes, pickle cubes (yes, just like Boston), and some oil/vinegar. Thankfully it’s right off the highway so I can stop in for some subs anytime I’m out by the airport.

Stopped by Bonni's to try out their pizza and was very pleasantly surprised! Their pizza was fresh, delicious, and cut into slices! So rare to see in Chicago, wish more places would serve pizza like this. Will definitely be back for more. Also want to try their chowder and subs as well. Highly recommend!

Got my pizza quick and it was good. Not saying too much cheese is a bad thing but too much cheese not enough crust. Found a couple hairs in my pizza as well, But it's not that big of a deal to not try the place.

Ordered the large Italian sub, burger and clam chowder. Was less than $30, which was a steal especially for how delicious and high quality everything was!!! So glad I only live a couple blocks away :)))

We ordered for the first time to try it out. The pizza was good but I didn't like the New York slices, I prefer Chicago slices. The sausage on the pizza was very good. But to be honest I have definitely had better pizza in the neighborhood. The steak and cheese sandwich was delicious. The turkey sub was good. The sizes of the sandwiches were huge. The fries were good. I ordered pasta salad but they gave me potato salad instead. The potatoes were very large and hard but it was tasty. I will definitely order some of the other sandwiches to try.

Stopped in for pizza to bring home and also ended up getting a couple of sandwiches as well. The steak and cheese was juicy and tasty and I really liked the Italian sandwich as well. I agree with another reviewer that the Jalapeño Poppers were really good. The pizza sauce was very fresh tasting and the crust was nice and crispy. Give this place a try.

UPDATE: 2nd order: clam chowder, large sausage pizza & poppers. EXTREMELY pleased. The pizza was extra thin & well done to perfection. Chowder was not real thick but very tasty. Ditto on the poppers. A great addition to the neighborhood! Our first time ordering today and we will be back! Tried the Italian sub, meatball sub and pizzas. The Italian sub was very good. A touch light on meats and bread could be fresher (it is the day after Christmas though). Meatball sub was very good. Meatballs were meaty but not overly dense. We tried three small pizzas: cheese, sausage and veggie. I ordered all of them well done but only the sausage fit the bill. The crust was very thin and tasty. Very fresh tasting. We enjoyed all of the pizzas. They were cut like a pie and not in squares. Different. We prefer squares in order to divy us the pizza in smaller bites. Overall, a welcome addition to the neighborhood! We will be back!
