"New bar Bonny’s Hideaway combines tiki and Irish elements to create something wholly unique to King Street. From the owners of nearby establishment Prohibition, Jim McCourt and James Walsh, Bonny’s offers drinks like the Irish Breakfast Pearl Diver made with Gardenia fat-washed Bushmills, butterscotch, orange juice, lime juice, maple syrup, and bitters, along with other whiskey-meets-Caribbean combinations. Status: Certified open." - Erin Perkins

We had a reservation at a restaurant close-by, so we had to kill some time before that. Loved the vibes inside. Luckily it was happy hour. For food, we had the chicken lollipop, Tacos and Caviar egg. The lollipop were decent, the tacos were crunchy with no real kick to it, the caviar egg was terrible. I didn’t know that i had a caviar allergy, and ended up getting sick later, but thats on me. The drinks were disappointing as well. We had the Jungle bird and Tradewinds. The server was really nice and friendly. So in short, awesome vibes but not so great food and drinks

Great little spot we found after dinner! They have only been open for about a month so it’s still a hidden gem. When we arrived there were a few people at the bar, otherwise it was empty. We literally had the whole place to ourselves. Love how they have little individual “hideaways” throughout the place. Told my friends it reminded me of being on Gilligan’s Island in a tropical jungle. Lol! Music was great and drinks were good. Wish we were staying longer in Charleston because this would definitely be on rotation.

This was the best find on our trip to Charleston and we will be back. An excellent fusion of Irish/British, West Indies, and Indian cuisines with a creative cocktail menu, scotch, and good beer. The six minute eggs are divine. We loved the lamb lollipops and the grilled octopus was the best I've had since living in Europe. Prices were reasonable, the staff was so friendly, and the ambiance is supurb.

Some of the best food I've eaten in my life. The poutine appetizer was incredible, the poke tacos and kraken shrimp were superb. The bartender made me a mocktail with almond, cherry and crushed ice that tasted like candy buttons. The atmosphere was super cute, too.

Stunning restaurant/bar with a wonderful done Irish pirate theme throughout. Both the food and the tiki cocktails were on point and all of the employees were super friendly. This is a must visit for anyone coming into Charleston considering the city’s history.

My first time in Charleston visiting and stumbled on this place. Love a good tiki bar and this place does not disappoint. The drinks are clever and tasty. My wife and I tried a couple of drinks that were completely unique and fantastic. I could see us being regulars here

We were waiting to get a seat at a sister bar, but Bonny's Hideaway did not disappoint!! Brandon and Kevin were so nice! The drinks were phenomenal!!!! We got a Dublin Bay Fog Cutter, an Irish Breakfast Pearl Diver, and a caviar egg. We haven't tried the egg yet, but don't count this place out!

Yelp
We stumbled across this place on King Street and were lured in by the awesome ambiance. It has a fun Moroccan Island Fusion vibe going, with great chill music. It's only week 2 of opening, and they are fully staffed, fully stocked and the food and beverages are amazing. We ordered "Tradewinds" cocktail, a couple of draft beers, a salad, the Wagyu Burger and the dessert - and it did not disappoint. My husband was in heaven with this burger. Such a fun place to hang out without all the loud music that some of the other places were pumping. Will definitely be back!
