Don’t miss out on the bonito, which comes with pandebono, buñuelitos (a sort of fried dough fritter), an egg and chorizo scramble, homemade cheese, and fresh avocado. I went here a couple of years ago before the new upgrade. It was good then and it’s even better now! The atmosphere is great. Service is so quick and attentive. Great waitress. The food is so tasty. I wish I could have eaten more! The DRINKS are 10/10. Soooo fun and well presented. Definitely will come back.

Google
The food was delicious. The owner and staff are so great. Nice decor and vibe. Definitely recommend.

Google
Now serving beer and wine! Great selection and an excellent remodel. Tacos Birria!! Birria Tacos!! Incredible and one of my favorite things in this world. Great neighborhood spot. Staff are always friendly and the food is consistently great!

Google
The fried shrimp tacos were made to perfection 😘🤌🏻 service was fast and the space is low key, perfect for a quick bite 🌮 $3 tecate to wash everything down 🍺

Google
The empanadas are exquisitely crisp on the outside with delicious and flavorful fillings. They have a new tres leches Oreo cup that I was a little skeptical of but won me over! Their regular tres leches is fantastic and has a hint of coconut flavor. The only thing I’d personally change is a little less liquid (they are very generous). The owners are super kind and it’s fun to see how they involve the family!

Google
Charming place that at first appears to be a crowded take out counter, but reveals quite a few tables in the back. Service was friendly and helped answer questions. I felt like trying something different and ordered the spicy mango beverage “mangonada” with tajin. Then I got Al Pastor tacos and a coffee. The tacos were delicious, but if onions aren’t your thing be warned they serve them generously. This place has so many choices to try I think I’ll be back-personally perhaps I’ll try something a bit less spicy next time.

Google
Great place for brunch. Good size menu and good size food portions. Everything was fresh and had that good flavor other spanish restaurants are missing. Can't wait to go back and try a different plate.

Angela

Google
Freshly made fragrant food that is nourishing with that homemade feel and touch. Their fish tacos had a crisp slaw that offset the crunchy fish with a creamy slice of avocado. Would definitely come back again!!

Yelp
If I'm disappointed in anything, it's that I didn't try Bono sooner. I live nearby and kept putting off trying it, but I'm so glad I did. Workers are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is incredible. They have some of the best pupusas I've ever had on the east coast, and all of their birria items are so delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Bono, what a hidden gem. This place is so cute inside! We walked by so many times without stopping by and what a mistake that was. The people that work there are genuinely happy that you are visiting them and are really warm. They have tables in the back and can accommodate. The food came out fast and was delicious as well. Their soft drinks are pretty cool too but on the sweet side for sure.

Yingna L.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Salvadoran breakfast tucked away in an unassuming neighborhood of East Boston. Small, compact space, and warm, fast service. It was a treat! Their specialty cakes all look super delicious and beautiful. Would definitely come back!

MaryKate M.

Yelp
Omg insane breakfast burrito! And the hot sauce with it was mild but delicious! So so good and good value too! Huge burrito

Nancy B.

Yelp
Following up on a recent tres leches and churro order that were the highlight of our event, we decided to stop in for breakfast on their gorgeous sidewalk patio. We enjoyed a Molletes sandwich, Bavarian cream-filled churro, chocolate cream donut and a breakfast sandwich with chorizo and egg. The bread and pastry is so fresh and tasty. With sandwich orders, you receive side sauces. The salsa verde is spectacular! The patio is lovely and the staff and owner are simply the nicest people and are very accommodating. Most importantly, the restaurant is very clean and food is stored well. Please support this wonderful small business, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I bought 2 dozen bunuelos, Colombian small fried cheese balls. At $.0.95 each, they cost $.50 less than what La Sultana Bakery charges. And these were fried freshly for me right before my pick up time. These were soft and cheesy. So good. I also bought 2 Pan Debono at $2.25 each. When I warmed these up with microwave later, they were soft and delicious. In fact, I liked these even more than the bunuelos.

Yelp
The best homemade birthday cakes! We get cakes from Pan De Bono for every family occasion. He made custom Minecraft and unicorn cakes for my twins' 5th birthday. Fernando's cakes look beautiful and taste even better. One was vanilla with lemon frosting - a crowd favorite. The other one of the best chocolate cakes you've ever had. Fernando took a custom order this week and made the kids' birthday so special. Thank you!!

Vish P.

Yelp
We have passed by this place for years without actually trying it. What a hidden gem!! We stopped by for breakfast and were mind blown. The menu has tons of options so I am sure there is something for everyone. They also have great coffee and a selection of fresh juices and smoothies. I got the breakfast tacos and could not get enough of it. I wiped the plate clean and the green sauce and beans with them were delicious. Can't wait to visit again and again!!!

Chris M.

Yelp
All I can say about this bakery is WOW!!! Case del Pandebono definitely exceeded my expectations all the way from Virginia! Being in quarantine, I really wanted to make my best friend's birthday special. I did extensive research on bakeries in the Boston area and I was really impressed with their cakes I saw on Facebook. I reached out to the bakery, and the response was prompt and friendly. I was in touch with Fernando, who was very informative with ordering a birthday cake. I went with the coconut tres leches cake. I was a little worried how everything would turn out since I was ordering from out of state but Fernando was very reassuring and detailed the entire process. I was able to pay over the phone and confirmed the delivery information. The night prior to the delivery, I sent a message to make sure everything was ready to go and he sent me a picture of what the cake looked like. Amazing!! And the day of, he sent me of a picture of the delivery. He even called the birthday girl when the cake was delivered. She called me and was so happy to see the special surprise! She said that Fernando was super friendly with a birthday greeting and delivery. I sent her the bakery's information and she is looking forward to visiting them soon. Next time I'm in Boston, they are going to be my first stop, so that I can thank them in person! Not only do they have beautiful cakes, but their food looks delicious too and I am a huge fan of Colombian food! I am so grateful they were able to make this happen during this unprecedented time, and that I was able to depend on them for their prompt and pleasant service! They truly went above and beyond. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Yelp
Amazing looking desserts. Nice personal service. Hole in the wall but worth it. Don't expect to eat there but to go is fine. Super inexpensive. Nice selection of beautiful pastries and cakes

Liliana M.

Yelp
Excellent as always! Loved everything I got from El Pan de Bono (pupusas, tacos, dessert, chicken sandwich, empanadas etc. ) they have the perfect custom cakes for any special occasion. The combination of food/ambiance/service/friendly staff is perfect, outstanding value. Fully recommended.

Krista R.

Yelp
Fantastic service and food. Homemade salsas, cheese, and bread. Pupussas were cheesy and fresh. Arepa was simple and flavorful. Coffee was hot and fresh. Highly recommend!

Brendan H.

Yelp
I had just finished a few hours of testing and when I was finally done I went back to class to see the burrito left for me. My classmates got the breakfast quesadilla, but I decided to go for the breakfast burrito with chorizo. And let me tell you... This was not only the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, but the best burrito in existence hands down! Upon biting into the burrito you instantly tasted the melted cheese, roasted potato, beans, and delicious chorizo. It was also wrapped perfectly to the point I was able to eat it in the foil to the very last bite and held its form well.

Leigh C.

Yelp
The tres leches cake is SOOO GOOD and the service is even better. Love this place so much!

Leah K.

Yelp
There's so many nice things to be said about Pandebono. Our neighbors have a close relationship with the owner and asked to make me something special for Hanukkah. They took their delicious fried donuts and stuffed them with jelly - a Columbian Jewish love fest, if you will! I went recently for lunch and snagged the birria tacos. I stuffed all 4 tacos in my mouth at the same time - just kidding, but I really did scarf them down. They're a fried taco filled with cheese and bbq beef, served with a dipping sauce (sort of like a soup or gravy) and rice. They were HEAVENLY. You can also order these as a taco or torta. There's pastry cases filled with all sorts of breads and pastries, so there's much to try!

Suzi M.

Yelp
I walked past this place a few times seeing some amazing looking cakes through the window before I made a last minute cake purchase in October for a friends birthday. The cake was INCREDIBLE! Tres leches on the inside (I didn't realize you could make a large beautiful cake tres leches- what a combo) since then we have gotten take out to go 10x or more mostly getting pastries or breakfast burritos. One day my husband came home with something that looked like a bagel but smelled like cheese. I asked him what it was and he said the guy checking him out said it just came out of the oven and that he should try it. I'm so glad he did because that's how we were introduced to pandebono. We got all of our kids daycare teachers gift certificates to this place to support them during Covid and spread the word. Super nice people, delicious place.

Kate E.

Yelp
I discovered the place and their tacos just a few weeks before moving out of East Boston. They are truly the best I've ever had! I was so upset to discover this hidden gem so late--they were our last meal in Boston, and are our first stop any time we're back in town. Do yourself a favor and try the Al Pastor tacos, the birria tacos, the empanadas, and the CHURROS. The churros are perfect and filled with dulce de leche or Bavarian cream. I dream of this place ... and you will too!

Nick D.

Yelp
I've had breakfast burritos all over the country, and this is THE best breakfast burrito I have ever had.

Todd S.

Yelp
Possibly the best Mexican food in town. Coming from a guy who lives in So Cal and frequents Mexico, this food is the real authentico stuff. All of the baked goods are amazing. The tacos remind me exactly of what you find in the Mexican state of Jalisco. You've gotta stop here. It's very small inside so probably order to go. Grab a joint or a beer next door and have yourself a time :)

Hoanganh D.

Yelp
Since my husband is a huge fan of mango and salty, spicy food; I buy this smoothies as a rewarding post-work treat for him. I'm so impressed by how fancy it looks and the refreshing flavor it offers. Love it! I'll try more on the menu next time!

Yulisa V.

Yelp
Yummy tacos de birria and the churros are good ! The horchata was so yummy as well, 10/10

Mary N.

Yelp
The most authentic food I have had since moving to New England from California. This little hole in a wall deserves for than five start. Thank you for the excellent food and wonderful conversation. Mary

Bailee P.

Yelp
The birria tacos and quesadilla here. That is all you need to be happy in the lifetime. Delicious and crispy!

Danielle G.

Yelp
Pandebono went above and beyond to create a gorgeous cake for my daughter's baptism. Several people commented that it was more beautiful than their wedding cake! When I met with Fernando to discuss the cake, he showed me photographs of past cakes they had made and asked me lots of questions to understand exactly what I wanted. We decided on a "naked frosting" layer cake with fresh roses. The cake was filled with cream and fresh fruit. Beautiful and delicious. The cake was priced fairly and ready on time. Highly recommend for custom cakes for weddings, baptisms, showers, and birthdays!

Ken M.

Yelp
Amazing food and the service is second to none I'm in every morning for coffee and chorizo Colombian I had them Cater a party for me on Saturday their food was a big hit it was hot and ready when promised highly recommend

Zachary N.

Yelp
I was initially recommended this bakery by a friend and I'm so glad they did. I've returned several times a week since my first visit. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious, but, as the name would suggest, the Pan Debono (Colombian cheese bread) is delectable! I'd encourage anyone nearby to stop in for a pan Debono and to try another item along with it (my routine a few days a week). Not only will you be delighted by the food selection, but the staff is incredibly friendly.

Jason T.

Yelp
Very much enjoy their pandebonos for breakfast with some hot chocolate or coffee. The desayuno tipoco is also great and impressive value for the quality + amount. Usually add a couple of the homemade verde sauces to kick up the eggs a little. LCDP also seems to have very talented cake artists. Planning to order a cake at the next occasion.

Igor R.

Yelp
Pandebono is my favorite place in Eastie. Great bang for buck, my partner and I go here a few times a week. The tacos birria is magical, the churros are legend! The staff is always warm and welcoming - I can't speak highly enough about this place! Love it!

Meg R.

Yelp
White chocolate mousse cake was prepared expertly by the friendly staff for my son's birthday surprise. I had it delivered by Uber Eats. We were delighted by how beautiful it came out. Like a party on top! My son said that it is the most delicious cake he's ever had, sweet but not too sweet. He is definitely going to visit the bakery in person now, or have more deliveries made until the pandemic is over!

Julia M.

Yelp
I've ordered from this place twice now and both times were absolutely amazing. First order was the calentado breakfast which came with eggs, rice and beans, an arepa and queso fresco. It was quick, tasty, and cheap. My second order was the life-changing one. I ordered their birria tacos and I think they are the best thing I've ever had. Great ratio of meat to cheese inside the tacos, they were crispy and juicy. The consomme for dipping was incredibly flavorful and I ended up using the leftover on the rice that it comes with because I didn't want it to go to waste. I honestly could just drink it. I've heard other places named as "the best birria" around East Boston, but I think this place's name needs to be thrown into the running because they were that good. Squeeze some fresh lime on top and they are just perfect *chefs kiss* Another plus is that this place is pretty allergy friendly. I have Celiac disease and my food always comes labeled with "allergy" on the packaging. I've never gotten sick here and have yet to be disappointed with the food!

Leslie W.

Yelp
Just got delivery through yelp. Amaaaaazing Pandebono breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito. In the pre-plague works they made me the most delicious and well decorated tres leches cake. The baked goods are fantastic but the food food is incredible. Highly recommend pickup or delivery!

Sarah B.

Yelp
Overall good. Favorite was pupusa, then tacos, then empanada. I wouldn't get the empanadas again but would the others. I recommend asking for sour cream for the tacos which I regret not doing. Pupusa was actually one of my favorite that I've tried in Eastie. Overall was average and probably better than most latin food options in Eastie but I'm biased because the last couple tacos I've tried for delivery in Eastie have been bad.

Aubrey Q.

Yelp
Really delicious Barbacoa tacos and empanadas! Tasty, fresh, fast, and a great price! Will definitely be back. Staff was friendly, too!

Claire R.

Yelp
Pretty extensive menu but we zoomed in on the pupusas. Served with traditional tomato sauce and a pickled cabbage slaw, they were delicious. And the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would go out of my way to come here again for the memorable food and service.

Emily V.

Yelp
Beautiful outdoor seating, lovely staff and delicious, a affordable food. What's not to love?! My friend and I were walking by and decided to stop in. So glad we did. The hibiscus juice and breakfast burrito were so delicious. Lovely staff and very safe, clean and wearing masks. Really appreciate how they went above and beyond to make items vegetarian upon request! Will be back soon.

Juan L.

Yelp
I love this small bakery, best pan de bono from east Boston. They also started serving food resently and I have to say, I was really impressed. I tried the chilaquiles and the Mexican torta. Both which were delicious, I highly recommend it.

Steven P.

Yelp
Love this place. It's affordable and delicious. Have gotten many sandwiches here and really recommend the cheese and carnitas sub. The green monster is an awesome smoothie as well. So so good.

K C.

Yelp
I might change my review cause I haven't tried everything- the tamirand fresco is really good, I also got a carrot cake and I'm hoping it isn't to dry ( haven't tried it as of yet). I also ordered the taco birra came with rice- I didn't like it will not order again. Will go back and try something else out though.

Mica T.

Yelp
Great food, a positive atmosphere, and shockingly affordable prices come together at Pandebono. Their dozens of hand-crafted pastries range from delicious to amazing, and their more meal-oriented food is equally impressive. The employees are kind and considerate, giving care to each customer, while somehow maintaining energetic and efficient service. Pandebono is, to me, what any great bakery should aim to be. Try their breakfast burritos (served all day), or any one of their incredible pastries!

Connor B.

Yelp
This place is awesome! My girlfriend and I are in town and have been here for breakfast everyday. The place has great food and great prices. Not to mention this is the best pan de bono I've had before. I'll definitely be back for more when I'm in Boston again!

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
This place was super cute. Service was wonderful and food was amazing. It's a super cosy store that once you walk in you can smell all the pastries. All the pastries smell, look and taste amazing. I would definitely recommend this bakery to anyone who lives near by or likes to go neighborhood food exploring.

Helen L.

Yelp
Beyond expectation. Great pastries. The owners were super nice. Definitely a must try place if you're around the neighborhood.

Emily H.

Yelp
The pastries are delicious!! If you are debating on going or not, go. They have a great variety, all made fresh daily. The employees were so kind and helpful when I could not make up my mind. If you like sweet treats, try their churro. It's to die for.

Leslie S.

Yelp
My daughter bought me a beautiful cake for Mother's Day. It was so delicious, I had splurge and have 2 slices!

Phil E.

Yelp
Breakfast, lunch, dinner you can't go wrong at Pandebono! My favorites is the breakfast sandwich on pandebono, you can't go back to a bagel after that. The burritos are fantastic, especially with the tomatillo. I love that they cook everything fresh for the burrito, no assembly line here!

Food C.

Yelp
Amazing food. Amazing service. So friendly. I've been around 3-4 times. New to the area. Will be back frequently.

Fenn M.

Yelp
This place rocks, great food, nice people, really good prices! I usually get tots and chicharron in my burrito

Jessica S.

Yelp
I visited this bakery today and really really enjoyed my experience. We got a guava and caramel pastry that was so good and truly authentic. The owners were so kind and generous and even gave us samples of things to try! Price is very worth it and would 100% recommend to anyone considering trying it. I can't wait to go back and try other goodies. A MUST EAT in East Boston!

Annie C.

Yelp
I don't ever write reviews, but the pastries here SLAPPED HARD. I strongly recommend this bakery and the customer service is just beyond amazing.

Mallory J.

Yelp
Amazing pastries and bread and even better people!! Friendliest owners. Can't wait to be a repeated customer. Definitely suggest getting your next cake from la casa Del pan debono
