Our love story started here on Old Mission Peninsula in 2020. Little did I know that 5 years later, I would also marry my husband here. Bonobo holds a very special place in our hearts and is one of our favorite vineyards that we visit each time we come to Northern Michigan. We are also wine club members here because their wine is our favorite! We made sure to stop here on my bachelorette party in June. All my bridesmaids understood my love for Bonobo! It only made sense that 2 days before our wedding in August we would host a private family dinner here too in The Library Room. The food and service was incredible - the attention to detail throughout planning the decor, the menu, and the wine selections! Couldn’t have asked for a better night. Then the night before the wedding, my husband and I decided to make one last stop at Bonobo after our rehearsal dinner which was further down the peninsula - our last drink before becoming husband and wife. Our photographer of course came along and got some of my favorite pictures of the whole weekend here! Then on Saturday, our ceremony was at St Joseph Catholic Church (right next door from Bonobo). Many guests had a glass of wine after the ceremony at Bonobo and enjoyed the views of the vineyards and the bay before our cocktail hour + reception at Delamar. Bonobo, you’ll always be a very special place to us. Cheers to our love aging like fine wine!

Fantastic winery! Great service. Tasty wine. Scrumptious food. You can’t beat the gorgeous views from the deck. Busy place with locals and tourists. Put Bonobo on the top of your winery tour list! Make sure to get a photo in front of the Bonobo wall mural 😊 🍷 🦍

I had a great time at Bonobo Winery! The views were absolutely stunning and the wine did not disappoint. Everything I tasted was delicious, but the cherry on top was the free wine glass I got to take home—such a nice touch. Definitely worth the visit if you’re looking for a relaxing vibe and good wine with a view!

This winery sits on a beautiful piece of land with a beautiful view. The patio alone is worth the visit, and if you’re just here to relax, take pictures, you’ll be very happy. Unfortunately, the wine doesn’t quite live up to the scenery. The whites lacked any real character — more like something you’d find at the back of a grocery store shelf than a proud estate bottle. The tasting felt more like a chore than a discovery.

The view was excellent and did the wine tasting since was during the week. The lady even brought us out a couple others to test as we talked about 2 others. Since I am more of a sweeter and not so dry type of person, found the DBX is a nice complex wine but the Bonobo red came home with me. Definitely worth trying them out.

Nice flight choices, plus small plate menu, great view, comfortable seating outdoors and in

Had a quick visit here, lots of outdoor and indoor seating! Not the most personable experience but it was quite busy when we went here. Its fun being able to keep your glass!

The facility itself, is absolutely beautiful, unfortunately the choices are very limited and no seasonal specials. Way over priced compared to other wineries. $10+ for a small glass. They do not do flights on the weekends, which just doesn’t make sense, especially for those of us who are not wine consumers and are trying to find ones we might like. Friendly staff. But unfortunately I won’t go back, because of the price and restrictions.
