I’m not sure where to begin. My boyfriend (who is half Chinese) and I were looking for something to grab as part of our dinner (the rest being leftovers). We ordered chicken bao (2x), some shrimp siu mai (1x), and some soup dumplings. To make a long story short we had to have the shrimp siu mai voided because of an issue with the vender and the manager was very polite (the cashier employee clearly irritated my partner wouldn’t accept pork instead, which I found funny, but I chalked it up to it being hot in the restaurant space). When we arrived home after quite a lengthy wait (we weren’t the only ones wondering what took so long) I eagerly bit into my chicken bao….. and found it was not only not fully cooked (hello raw dough) but there was hardly any chicken and what was there had no flavor. Not to be too bummed I moved onto the soup dumplings and…. Yet again no flavor. This is what we waited for? The original order, with the default 20% tip was $46 (before the voided shrimp item). While I know rent in PCM can’t be cheap what kills me is the fact that the bao was half uncooked dough and the whole thing couldn’t even do the stereotypical American bastardization of ethnic food and make it salty. It just had … no flavor and my boyfriend and myself have no idea what the concept of the food was. It’s unfortunate because we were super excited and love the newly themed area but probably won’t be back.

I was surprised by the low reviews! I had been drawn to this restaurant purely because of the sign and presentation. I’m glad to have discover this place for my first time visiting Ponce City marker with two other friends. I ordered a steamed pork bao and a steamed Shanghai Shan Mai dim sum. These two were recommended by the cashier and they were a delight to eat. Steamed just right with the right balance of grain and filling. Finding seating in Ponce City Market was not bad! God bless you all.

The Chicken Bao was disastrous to say the least. Extremely dry with no taste. The Bao itself also was dry and did not offer anything. Service was not great as well.

Highly disappointed with the amount of filling in the custard bun, especially for $7.

All I can say is 10/10! WOW! I am a lover of dim sum! And this place is truly unique and flavorful! They serve a variety of dumplings, shrimp shumai and most of all the soup dumpling! Incredible flavors that explode in your taste buds! I highly recommend! The food is served is love and esthetic! You can instantly tell the owners care about your experience! The area where they are located looks and feels like you are in alley in Tokyo! If you are in Ponce City Market, make sure you stop by and give this place a try!

The girl that helped us was very informative and I appreciated how nice she was.Tried the chicken bao yesterday and I took 1 bite and threw it away. Don't want to be mean but it's probably the worst thing I've eaten in recent memory. The restaurant only had a soft launch so hopefully it can better but I won't be back to ever find out.

The shrimp siu mai was really good, very meaty and fresh. The bao had a great fluffy outside with a juicy and flavorful filling. The chicken feet were tender and the sauce was delicious. Overall very good

The bao exterior was fluffy, but the interior needed more of the filling. The service was quick but we were given a buzzer to let us know when our order was ready which was super helpful since this place is located in a good hall.
