Ordered the stir fry noodles with chicken & they were so good! First time trying this restaurant & I’d definitely go again. I think most reviews are about their bao so that’s why the reviews are bad. I ordered my noodles spicy & they were exactly what I needed. Spicy & lots of veggies. Photos are too aesthetic because I had already started eating. 😅 Give the noodles a try!

Posting for awareness. Today at Boom Boom Bao in Ponce City Market, I found what appears to be a cockroach head in my food. I spent almost $40 on just two items, and this food was for my 19-month-old child. We were only there because of the reindeer and Santa, and while waiting for the reindeer to start, we decided to grab a quick bite. I didn’t even discover this until we got home, when I was cutting up the food for my toddler and saw it mixed in with the pork. I immediately called and notified the manager and told them they needed to shut everything down. An hour later, after they stopped answering my calls, I called the restaurant next door just to confirm whether they were closed — and they were still serving people. This is disturbing, unacceptable, and extremely serious. Please always check your food, especially when feeding children.

I was surprised by the low reviews! I had been drawn to this restaurant purely because of the sign and presentation. I’m glad to have discover this place for my first time visiting Ponce City marker with two other friends. I ordered a steamed pork bao and a steamed Shanghai Shan Mai dim sum. These two were recommended by the cashier and they were a delight to eat. Steamed just right with the right balance of grain and filling. Finding seating in Ponce City Market was not bad! God bless you all.

I’m not sure where to begin. My boyfriend (who is half Chinese) and I were looking for something to grab as part of our dinner (the rest being leftovers). We ordered chicken bao (2x), some shrimp siu mai (1x), and some soup dumplings. To make a long story short we had to have the shrimp siu mai voided because of an issue with the vender and the manager was very polite (the cashier employee clearly irritated my partner wouldn’t accept pork instead, which I found funny, but I chalked it up to it being hot in the restaurant space). When we arrived home after quite a lengthy wait (we weren’t the only ones wondering what took so long) I eagerly bit into my chicken bao….. and found it was not only not fully cooked (hello raw dough) but there was hardly any chicken and what was there had no flavor. Not to be too bummed I moved onto the soup dumplings and…. Yet again no flavor. This is what we waited for? The original order, with the default 20% tip was $46 (before the voided shrimp item). While I know rent in PCM can’t be cheap what kills me is the fact that the bao was half uncooked dough and the whole thing couldn’t even do the stereotypical American bastardization of ethnic food and make it salty. It just had … no flavor and my boyfriend and myself have no idea what the concept of the food was. It’s unfortunate because we were super excited and love the newly themed area but probably won’t be back.

Enjoyed what I ordered. Only thing was that they didn’t have anything left on the menu in terms of dim sum. They had run out of chicken feet, spared ribs, soup dumplings, even more things. Service was great. The siu mai was really good and the shrimp dumplings were decent. Will definitely be back to try to the rest of the menu Edit 12/09/2025: had all of the steamed dim sum. They were really good. Was a huge fan of the chicken feet. Will definitely be back for when I don’t wanna drive all the way up to Buford highway for dim sum and wanna stay in the city. Has the crispy beef noodles to go and they were also very good

The dumplings were absolutely delicious! We ordered the shrimp dumplings and pork sui mai. The food was steaming hot and tasted incredibly fresh. We had great service and will be back soon to try other dim sum plates!

Google
This place was top notch. As a foodie always looking for new flavor the chicken feet were great. They take a bit so patience is key. The flavors were in point. The soup dumplings were also great. The staff was super friendly. From Phoenix but, will def not forget this meal.

Lolrelai was an excellent employee and was very sweet. I tapped to pay it accepted my payment and charged me and I had a transaction receipt of the order from Google. I am highly disappointed. Tommy the manager said the payment was declined and he returned the money to my account. I never got it. And he wouldn't show me the cancelation receipt. That is very scandalous of you Tommy. You should not be a manager. However, I still love you and so does God. I love you all and Shalom. Proud owner of izzianity- non profit sole proprietorship organization.
