Booma Bar & Kitchen

This was an interesting experience. We were looking for a last minute reservation on a Saturday. We secured a table at 7:15. When we arrived the restaurant was empty. Just one table of 2 was finishing up. We almost left because it seemed like they were closed. We sat down and ordered drinks. The service, food and drinks were very good. The Chicken Hummus was our favorite. The server told us they had a big DJ event at 10:00 and that’s why the restaurant was empty. Whatever-It was a good meal.

Visited for the first time and loved it. Sat at the bar, and the food and drinks were outstanding. Daryl gave us great service. He is an artist when it comes to drinks. The food was great, had the hibachi steak. Great place to visit for the holidays as they do a great job decorating.

The pictures speak for themselves!! We went to Booma Bar and Kitchen tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday and I'm so glad we did!! The second we walked in we were greeted with an abundance of friendly host. Our server was outstanding, the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was out of this world amazing!!! My husband and I also ordered drinks and those too were great tasting! I had the Lemon Drop Martini, and their seasonal cocktail, and he had the Berries and Bubbles Martini. The restaurant was decorated so lovely with Christmas decorations which really made me feel at home and the entire staff was so nice! This restaurant did not disappoint. I wish I would have taken more photos. Everything they brought out to the table was excellent!! The cleanliness and friendly staff were a plus for me too. I highly recommend you all check this place out, you will not regret it!

I came by and the place was very nicely decorated for Halloween. I had a Halloween cocktail which bubbled and tasted great. The lentil soup was good. My main was the lamb chops which were good but not exceptional. The filet mignon was almost inedible. Very dry and unpleasant texture, big disappointment for sure.

Great service & professional staff. Food was great, drinks were on point and the vibe was fun the whole evening. Great mix of music thro7gh out the evening. The DJ kept the party going and everyone dancing all night non stop.

Celebrates our friends birthday here and let me tell you, it was outstanding! Customer service was fantastic, the food was great and the atmosphere and end entertainment was spot on. Staff was extremely attentive with a smile throughout our stay. Thank you.

Saw the reviews and had to check it out. We had the Steak Bites, Spicy Shrimp Penne, Chicken Malaise and the Sweet Tooth Nachos. Everything was very tasty and not even close to food you would expect at a bar. Better than most local restaurants. We will be returning.

Great Food and Staff. The calamari is heaven. I am still craving it. Fun drinks and love the salmon sandwich. The fries are cooked to perfection.

First is the ambiance, really a nice place. A little dark, no obnoxious tv to disturb you-there are four tvs over the bar but they display one long tropical scene. The tap is a little hidden so I don't know what all is there but my favorite (Stella) was. My wife had the Hibachi which she clearly enjoyed as that was the first time in a very long while that she cleared her plate and didn't want desert! I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta that was really good. The place was rather empty which I truly don't understand. Good food, good service, great atmosphere. Park in the back and the door is there as well. I should mention the change the menu every so often and within the next few weeks the new menu will be in play.

Wife and I wanted to try something new, we were disappointed. Went on a Tuesday night, looked well staffed and only about 6 tables of people. One server got us water and drinks, our server then took our order for an app and entrees. And then we waited, and waited. Another table came in 10-15 minutes after us, and was greeted by what looked like the manager and a few servers. And we waited. Or appetizer came out, calamari strips with banana peppers, over a lemon butter cream sauce. Or that's how it was described on the menu. What we got was fried, freezer burned calamari pieces. The lemon sauce was a garlic peppery sauce served on the side. I thought it was just ok, but was looking for a butter lemon sauce. had a few pieces and so did my wife. It tasted like rubber. Our entrees came out 30 seconds after our appetizer. And I also noticed the table next to us that came in 15 minutes after us received their food at the same time. We both got chicken dishes. I got the chicken shawarma platter and she got the macadamia encrusted chicken. Mine was edible, but very dry. there was a half grilled, half raw chuck of tomato garnish that looked comedically out of place. Pita was burned and the rice was dry. My wife's dish was inedible. Dry, burned chicken that we couldn't even cut. We had to get up to find our server and ask for a manager. After a few minutes later and several minutes after we got our food, our server stopped by. They were nice enough to remove her dish off our bill and the calamari. Conclusion; We will not be going back due to the poor service and poor quality of food.

I tried the beef tip pasta on my first visit and I LOVED it. I ordered it again a second time and it wasn't as good. I realized they changed the menu item to a truffle beef tip pasta. Our service from Juliana was amazing, she crushed it! Also not pictured is their French onion soup which was AMAZINGG

Upon entering Booma bar, the ambience looks pretty inviting. Low lighting for ambience. We were hopeful. The menu is extensive but deceving so pay close attention. For example, they list an entrée that includes hummus, baba ganoush, or grape leaves-but not all-just one. Entertainment was very interesting. It consisted of a woman named Dal singing karaoke to music from the 80s through her computer. She appeared to have a sidekick that was dressed in all black and danced close to her as she sang. While her voice was good, I've never seen anything quite like it. The food and service was definately lacking. Every item we ordered had toasted pita chips in it or with it- from the hummus to the salad and even the dessert! Food served lukewarm. Salad had no dressing just balsamic vinegar on top. We requested a bread basket and they indicated that would have to be a special order. They came back quite a bit later with four pieces of small bread in a basket. The waiter was argumentative after he incorrectly understood our order. It was necessary for us to speak to the manager to correct this situation, initially with limited results. This restaurant is in need of a lot of work from customer service to the food.

Me and my sister came here for Halloween night and it was really fun! The ambiance was amazing, the Halloween decorations were really cute as well. We ordered the Halloween themed drinks and they had dry ice in them which was a really cool experience. The food and service were fast. Definitely coming back for more delicious drinks!!

We have gone here a few times now and I normally don't put out reviews but we just can't get enough of this place. The food and service are both fantastic. We normally just belly up to the bar but our last visit was with a group of ten so we sat at a table. Loved every thing about the evening as the owners came over and greeted us and made sure everything was perfect. They also had live music that just topped off a wonderful evening out. We will definitely be going a lot more often.

It's got a cool darker vibe, but I took 3 stars off for many reasons. Visited 2/14/25 One being the fact that the manager was very loud, talking to someone at a table quite literally one foot behind my boyfriend and I for a good 5-10 minutes. I genuinely felt embarrassed for the guy who was dining's wife, because both the manager and this man were extremely loud and disregarding of everybody else in there - especially her as they were out for a valentines dinner. It took an hour for my boyfriend and I to get our food, which we weren't upset about that, but seeing the manager do little to nothing except loudly conversate with others did become a bit upsetting when his employees were super busy. With that said, my second reason is that the tables are extremely close together. Wayyy too close for comfort. So if you enjoy eating next to random people and listening to their conversations/them listening to you, then this is good. But not for me. My boyfriend and I actually sat right next to the couple I previously talked about, but moved to a very small round table because we were uncomfortable. It was still very close, but not literally sitting on the same bench as them - like we originally were. Third is the prices. I think this restaurant would do much better on big beaver or like Birmingham. It's pricey but I can say the portions are good. I got some pasta, and if you wanted chicken it was extra $7 and shrimp $10. I did upgrade with shrimp, it came with 6 pieces. It wasn't the best pasta I've ever had, it was decent. Our waitress however was amazing, I wish I could remember her name. I think she was the only blonde waitress. She was very friendly, checked in on us often, and ontop of her game. She definitely made this visit for us.

We decided to try this place for our anniversary. We enjoyed the food and drinks very much. The quality and flavors were good but the prices were high for what we got and the service was slow and they weren't busy. Husband ordered a gimlet and said it was made very well. Then we ordered truffle fries for the appetizer. There was very little truffle oil and mostly just tasted like regular fries. I got a salad with my dinner and husband ordered the upgraded French onion soup for $3. The very small cup of soup was good but we were expecting more for a $3 up charge. I ordered chicken Milanese ($24) and husband ordered salmon ($28). The chicken came with pasta and the salmon came with rice and spinach. The dishes were very good but expensive for what it was. Husband is a tough salmon critic and he was happy with how it was cooked. Overall we really enjoyed the quality of main dishes but thought the service was slow and prices were expensive. They also do not have any vegetarian or vegan options for main dishes. They can easily add a pasta or sandwich with ingredients they already have.

Dined again at Booma's. Our experience was as amazing as our first visit! Love the decor. Food was amazing and staff helpful. A must try!

Best tasting beef tenderloin tips served on top of zip sauce. Very tender and cooked perfectly to your liking. Professional and friendly wait service. Certainly worth coming back for another dining experience to try other menu items but will most likely do it earlier in the evening. Late night Saturday was fairly loud, almost club like atmosphere with some space for a little dancing even. Lively DJ, lively bar. Great place to go if looking for after dinner entertainment.

We had been here previously when it was Vast; it's a beautiful little restaurant and outside of some changes to decorations, it's pretty similar. We got to sit in the patio as there was no direct sunlight there. Drinks were great, everyone was pleased with the mango margarita in particular. The spicy Paloma was also fantastic. We ordered the Brussels and bruschetta for apps; the sprouts were great but the bruschetta was kinda soft and needed to be far crunchier. The arugula on it was also kinda off putting. I got the tuna for the main course and I loved it. Great flavor, tasted fresh and I got enough green beans to feed a family. There were also orders of chicken Milanese and a truffle beef something or other. All of those needed to be salted, which is fine, it's better than being over salted. The service was excellent, we had a very attentive server and she was on top of it all. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

My friends and I love it here!!! We came this weekend and had such a great time. The Halloween drinks are unreal, the steak bites are always great, and the creamy garden pasta with chicken was very refreshing. Services is always great and the servers are nice and cool. This restaurant that has live entertainment on the weekends and it's great for a girls night out!!!

Such a fun environment!! Absolutely love the fun decorations for holidays and all of the different drinks and specials that are always changing! Meghan is the best bartender and is such a good person!! She will definitely take good care of you stop by whenever you can!!

Simon and Vince, the owners, are so friendly and welcoming. Ask and you shall receive. Jazzy, the bartender, is amazing! The staff really makes you feel at home. The parking lot is of decent size. Location is great off 24 and Van Dyke. We met friends at the bar on a Wednesday night for drinks. They had dinner here prior and raved about the salmon. They both loved their dinners. I really liked seeing the impossible burger on the menu for future dining options for us plant based folks. In addition, this establishment offers half off wine bottles on Wednesday. Happy hour Monday through Friday 4-6. Fridays live music. Give this beautiful spot a try and you will truly enjoy your time here!

We were excited to check out this new restaurant in the area. This is located in the building where Vast was previously. We loved Vast and were sorry to see it go. These restaurants have really been struggling since covid. Walking in, it was not much different than before. They changed the lighting and redecorated a bit but we felt like we were in the same place. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. He stayed with beer and I started off with a berry martini which was exactly what I needed. Light and refreshing on a gorgeous May Saturday! We looked over the menu and we're happy with the variety of choices offered. I chose a truffle steak tip linguini and he got the chicken mes...I can't remember what it was called. My truffle steak tips were tender and delicious. But his chicken was absolutely amazing! I was very jealous of his food. We ended up splitting it anyway so we just shared. The couple next to us ordered a pork loin. Omg. It looked soooo good. Entrees come with a soup or a salad. I got the French onion which was prepared exactly how I like it. The bartenders were also great. Jazzy was friendly and outgoing. She felt like family. She treated every customer like royalty. She truly loved her job! We will definitely be back. I would like to sit on the patio and enjoy a summer evening. It's nice that our area has so many great choices now!

I had the Shanghai Salmon and Mango Margarita and both were wonderful! Service was wonderful, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. My only complaint was the music was a bit too loud but the decor overall was beautifully done and very comfortable.

The absolute worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant!! Horrible service & horrible food. We waited over an hour for our food and it all came out cold and undercooked. We had to send everything back. The second round took another hour and the food came out in phases. Everyone had to eat separately. A couple of the dishes were still undercooked and could not be ate. We asked for the manager & owner multiple times. They came by once and had nothing good to say. Not even "we're sorry". And, they charged us full price for our horrible meals!! We will never step foot in there again!

I can't decide what I loved more, the food of the ambiance! Wait...it was definitely the wine! The service was fantastic, and the place is decorated so cute for the holidays. We had the burrata, Brie frosting and parmesan fries. Everything was delicious

Food was ok, but overpriced. Pasta dish not worth the $28. Bruschetta was good. Charge for soft drink refills. Service was good, fast, attentive. In short, overpriced.

First time we have tried since it changed from Vast. It wasn't bad although I was surprised the Rigatoni Arrabbiata with sausage tasted more like a kielbasa than what you would expect in an Italian dish. My wife did like the salmon entree. A bit pricey for the quality in my opinion. We would go back, because convenient for us but not in any rush. Better choices in the area for the price. My son didn't even eat the chicken sandwich as it appeared to be that rubbery freeze dried type. One bite and that was it for him. Waitress was very nice and attentive but obviously very inexperienced. She didn't know the menu very well so she may have been very new.

1st time and had a great experience. We had a group of 18 and service was spot on. A bit pricey but the food and service held up to it. Would go back and recommend.

This place was good and welcoming! They had very sweat Halloween decorations on and they were super cool! The appetizers were good but smaller versions of everything! We all had some type of steak with potatoes and it was alright but we ordered medium well and it all came out well done! So I would go for medium next time to get the medium well! Our dessert were really good though and the crème brûlée specially tasted like heaven! I highly recommend their French onion soup it's delish and the best I've had! I gave 4 starts because of the overcooked stakes but otherwise it would have been 5/5!

Came here on a Saturday night, the place was pretty empty, but decorated really nice for the holidays. Ordered the Macadamia Chicken for $26. I was disappointed after tasting it and knew it was clearly just a pre-breaded frozen chicken breast heated up along with instant mashed potatoes and green beans with no taste. Drinks were overpriced too at $15. We were told by the manager when he seated us that the server wasn't there yet, so we were being waited on by the bartender, she was very good and attentive, but why isn't your wait staff arriving on time? Anyways, the other people at my table were also unimpressed with their food. And when the bill came, I thought it was weird that it said a different total if you are paying with cash versus credit card. Why more for credit?? Never saw that on a restaurant bill before. Will not be returning, too many other better places to spend my money at.

Service was fine. Food was underwhelming. Both meat dishes were overcooked. Took a long time to get the entrees even though the place was not busy.

Visited a second time with friends and shared several appetizers. The burrata is a must and every thing else we tried was very tasty! We went on a Saturday night and they were not busy at all.

The vibes this place has is absolutely perfect. The outside patio is so chill and relaxing with the owls all around.

The worst experience. Horrible service, waited over an hour for our meals, all 5 came either ice cold or undercooked. Asked for the manager, he never apologized, but had all the plates remade. Waited another hour. Everything came out separately and we watched one person at a time eat their meal. Mine was last, came out cold and raw in the middle. I ordered fish. Left starving. I was the only one comped. One and done for me.

Great food, great service and great pricing! Went here for the first time and honestly was much better than anticipated. Staff was really great and really impressed with the overall experience. Definitely will be going back.

Due to lack of restaurants open on Monday evenings, we end up at this place. We started with Brie and Onion Jam Bruschetta; it was blah. The so called onion jam was more of a cross between carmelized onions and pickled onions. Perhaps some hot, pepper bacon jam would've jazz it up a bit. The arugula added no flavor whatsoever. As for the Beef Tenderloin Tips, they were okay; not as tender as expected, didn't taste Gorgonzola, just creamy. It was served with onion rings which were lukewarm. No wine by the bottle, just cheap tasting wines at $8-9 a glass. Decided not to have dinner there after all. They should spend more time, effort, and money on perfecting their menu instead of Halloween decorations - which were outstanding. Food and drink are more important one would think. Prices too high for what was received. Off the check list!

Service was decent but we were also one of two groups in there. Burger and fries for 4 people with tip $100 not gonna lie five guys is killing this place. Menu is small food was mediocre. It's more for the trendy not a foodie, the beef tips app were good but was a small portion.

Loved the Halloween decorations, the service was good & the place was clean. Some downfalls are lack of options on the menu, we were not greeted when we walked in, and the portion size was too small compared to the price paid. We ordered the meatloaf which was good but the small portion of actual meat left us still hungry. For a $25 meal, I was disappointed.

The place is so awesome inside, service was terrific! Attentive, kind and on top of every single thing. Would love to thank Barbara for her suggestions and attention to detail! 5 stars just for her! Food was out of this world. Olly got us with his love he put into our meals. Another 5 stars! We are coming back much more often now!

The food was fantastic. My boys said the burgers were 10 out of 10. The atmosphere was great. Fjorela took care of us. My family's new go too. Vince treated us like family.

The prices are outrageous. The meatloaf is 1 small slice over 'fake' watery mashed potatoes! ($25) The $40 steak was small and tough. The shrimp add-on was a joke. It looked like can salad shrimp for $6 extra. Not going back.

Third time coming here this week! Love the place, environment and staff. Definitely not your average corner kitchen/bar. Infinite variations of liquor & a beautiful patio when the weather is right. Now for the more important part, the FOOD! The menu is upscale with little bit of an Asian Zing all the way to a classic Prime Filet. I would recommend the 'Brie & Onion Jane Bruschetta' or the 'Shrimp Tacos' for a solid appetizer. For the Main course you have to try the 'Salmon Shanghai'. Would definitely recommend you try this place out.

My Daughter just had her 30th Birthday get together there and the food and drinks were great. Amanda and Megan did a wonderful job and the owners really delivered . I would definitely recommend Booma .

Vinnie (the owner) and Jazzy (our AMAZING waitress ) could not have provided better service! Jazzy was attentive and very friendly. Our food came out hot, tasted delicious, and our drinks were fantastic. I highly recommend this upscale bar for any dinning experience!

Went for a glass of Pinot Noir; had two. Wonderful, relaxing atmosphere and great place to unwind. Good dinner and appetizer selections. Happy hour all week. New go-to place for my wife and I. I look forward to going again.

My experience began with old wine and poor service. I ordered the fish tacos that came with a cold flour tortilla followed by pickles In the taco. The meal absolutely did not live up to the price. The waiter didn't seem to mind that I didn't touch my food. Not to mention, the couple that was seated next to us sat there unnoticed for 15 minutes before they left. Overall, I wouldn't go back. Vast had better service and a better menu.

Lack luster menu. Same food from new owner as previous owner. Same chef? If so, what happened? Not good. Was hoping new owner would bring in a new and exciting menu or new concept. Or how about an upper scale bar with upper scale bar food? You get none of that from this place. Don't waste your money!

I love Booma!!! The atmosphere is so fun, definitely great vibes with good music. The service was great & the food was delicious. Will be coming back 100%. Thank you Booma!
