The food here was fantastic! My husband and I got the dinner for two with the full rack of ribs and four sides. The ribs were so so good super tender. We’ve been trying to find a good rib place since Red Hot and Blue closed down. We also tried the porkanator sandwich yum! This is definitely the place to go and for only $40

The food was good especially the ribs I don't like the burnt ends because they are very greasy in the coleslaw is dry but the ribs was on point....

Nice clean place. The smell draws you in. The food we got wasn't the greatest unfortunately. I had the brisket sandwich which was dry as a bone. The wife got wing dings which were solid as a rock. The bright spot was the cheddar bites which were about as good as you could get. Hot fresh and stretchy. Staff was very friendly.

Word of warning to those who get the wings. We’ve never had issues until today. They substituted the mango habanero without telling us with something else that was horrendously spicy. My boy loves the mango habanero but whatever they replaced it with was like lava. He started screaming and crying. I couldn’t understand what was happening until I tried the chicken. I love extremely spicy food but this was next level and totally inappropriate for a 7 year old boy. When I called the store, the manager said that sometimes they substitute the spice. When I asked what she could do to make things right, she said she couldn’t really do anything. She could give us a free sandwich meal or 15% off the next time we go, but we aren’t going back again. She wouldn’t do anything for the meal my boy suffered with. And she didn’t even give an apology. This is totally unacceptable. It makes me sad because I love this restaurant but my boy refuses to ever go again, understandably so. We’ll have to start going to Big Ben’s again.

Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. D pulled pork was moist and flavorful. No bbq sauce needed. I did try their sauce ash’s it was also very good. My husband had the half slab of ribs. Amazing!!! Highly recommend. ❤️ workers were awesome super friendly and came around multiple times to fill beverages ❤️❤️

Usually good but this time I got chicken wings and was very disappointed. The menu stated they were "Jumbo" wings and what I got, I consider to be Small or even extra Small. I also don't consider 20 wings to actually be "20 wing sections" that would actually equal 10 whole wings. $31.00 for 20 "wing sections" and two large orders of fried okra and a small tip included. Not at all worth it in my opinion. Won't buy wings again! I admit the pics look ok and taste was good but not worth the price at all.

Plenty of room inside, portions are great and pricing is AMAZING!!! THE HAVE THE MEATS (from wings to brisket to bologna)

Boomers BBQ continues to be fantastic year in & year out. My family & I have enjoyed them since their first restaurant on Oak St in Carthage, MO. I had the pleasure of finding them prior to this when they were operating the business from a mobile trailer. The food has been consistently excellent throughout the years, and from brisket & ribs to pulled pork, wings, or burgers you can't go wrong with Boomer's. Their Staff are always friendly and take care to provide a great experience. The restaurant has a moisture of booth & table seating, and if you're lucky you'll be there when an Oklahoma Sooners sport is on the big screen. If you haven't tried them, what are you waiting for? Excellent spot. I will seek it out next time I'm near Joplin! The ribs were fantastic, great dry-rub, soft flaky and with a certain crispy crust. Great sauce choices too. The server who took my order was very friendly and helpful. The tater tots were crispy and flavorful and the coleslaw mix of vinegar and mayo hit the spot! Also, the prices were extremely fair, which I appreciate, especially since they haven't raised them (yet?) to reflect this nightmare economy brought on by the foolish and dangerous Trump. One thing I would suggest was to add greens or collard greens to the menu!

Portions were small compared to the prices. Had a brisket sandwich and was expecting more. When it came out, it was like a McDonald's cheeseburger size.

Best BBQ in Carthage, hands down! The meat is always tender, the sauce is amazing, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Boomers never disappoints!

Ok, another year passing through Carthage MO on an annual trip to/from my daughter's summer camp experience. We always stop for lunch at this BBQ restaurant. Absolutely great food, never disappoints; clean, friendly service, wide variety on menu (and have now added fried fish)...everything i or my family have tried has been tasty, well presented and well portioned...my brisket was moist, smoky, tender with a prize winning smoke ring--just honest good eats! Stop in and enjoy.

Went through drive through and ordered a taco salad with burnt ends. The salad was a mess! Very little lettuce, no corn, jalapeño with stale chips and too much liquid cheese. Biggest miss was only a tiny bit of lettuce and missing ingredients. If you're out of ingredients, it's okay to not serve. Shame on the cook!

Boomers NEVER disappoints. Hot, amazing, fresh food. Always consistent. Have never got a wrong order and the folks are so nice and friendly. We get the ribs with size and catfish. It is reasonably priced as well

The restaurant was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was very good and fast! They kept our drinks refilled on that hot day. I had the Pork Parfait! A new experience. Barbecue pork layered in a cup with potato casserole! Loved it!

You cannot go wrong eating at Boomers Barbeque. Everything is so tastie. And the ribs! You have to try them! Would love to see them offer beer battered onion rings.

Must try the spicy sweet sauce, it was so good. Also highly recc the curly fries and beans. Stopped here for early lunch and the rush of regulars right after me attested to its goodness. Amazing service, the folks working there were kind and helpful. I'll definitely recommend this spot to others! I was in town for a quick work trip.

Joplin doesn't have good bbq anymore, so we came over to Carthage to give Boomers a try! Got the pulled pork sandwich and cole slaw. The meat had great flavoring and lots of meat on the sandwich. The cole slaw was ok but not my favorite. My wife got the beef n cheddar and loved it. They don't skimp on meat here. I need to come back and try ribs for sure.

Great food stop as we headed to the lake. Service was fast and the food was great. Would have been a 5 star, but y'all need a good hose down and some exterior maintenance. Not sending a bad signal as the food reflected otherwise.

Staff was very curious and helpful. Restaurant was clean, tables wiped... Wide selection of foods. We had the brisket dinner with potato salad and Cole slaw. The brisket was a little bit dry but otherwise good, nice smoky flavor. The potato salad was the chunky mustard style which is the kind I prefer. The slaw was fair. Portion size were reasonable. I would eat there again. The pulled pork nachos look really good, I want to try that next time

Boomers is a quick way to get decent BBQ in the small town of Carthage. The chicken wings are phenomenal, especially the honey barbecue. Ribs are just alright. I also like the brisket sandwich. Better than the competitor in town and faster service.

BBQ pulled pork dinner with onion rings and potato salad was very good! Service fantastic! I would recommend having more BBQ sauce choices. Coming from GA and personally like NC sauce. Very good and provided me a Veteran discount too!

YUM!!!! This place is fantastic. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The food was delicious. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich with curly fries and the pork parfait with onion rings. It was absolutely delicious! Definitely will return! Looking forward to trying some other options.

The food was fantastic! I had the pulled pork parfait. My friend had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious! And I love their onion rings. They're more like onion straws, so when you take a bite, you don't end up, pulling the onion out of the breading. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is perfect. We will definitely go back!

Pretty good food but seems a bit pricey. No longer our first choice for smoked meats. That's a shame. It's small and sometimes tricky to get in and out of. Parking lot is iffy to back out of the spots into incoming traffic. It simply isn't the first thought when we want to get barbeque locally.

Lots of seating and very comfortable booths. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the 3 meat dinner with bologna, pulled pork, and burnt ends. The sides were loaded mashed potato casserole, and baked beans. The beans left a little to be desired but otherwise everything was perfect. We also got an appetizer of fried pickles. Which were some of the best I've had. I'll definitely be making the drive to Carthage for my next BBQ fix.

Stopped at this little place on my way to Nebraska. Thought it would be something different. Boy was I right. Went through drive through and ordered hamburger and onion rings. Had to pull forward and wait. Ok. When I got my order it was hot. Opened it up and there was nothing ring about the onions. It was a huge big ole glob of I don't know what. Didn't even look or smell like onions. It had like a mass of meat particles deep fried to them. They were not onion rings. They were onion strings or pieces or something. Boy was I very very disappointed. Burger was just okay. Lesson learned about stopping somewhere different.

This little gem has great Barbeque and it is family owned by the nicest people! All their meat is delicious and we have eaten in at the restaurant and also ordered pick-up when we are feeding the whole extended family for get togethers. I have called in the morning before they open, and they had meat and sides hot and ready for me later that day to feed 15-18 people. We also use them at our company for lunches. Because of COVID-19 we are not able to serve buffet so they individually package and deliver the meals. Exceptional service and delicious food!

I think their success has lead them to lower their quality. We've been going here for years and we've had a few service/food hiccups, but never have I contemplated not going back. The ribs use to be spot on perfectly smoked while being fall off the bone moist/tender. Now twice they have been over smoked to the point of being bitter tasting and almost as dry as jerky. Being over smoke might be from a dirty smoker or someone uneducated in the art of smoking, I'm unclear as to the reason. The sides were twice baked potatoe casserole and baked beans which were both greasy tasting. I'm not sure how you make potatoes tasty greasy but they accomplished it. The saving grace was the pulled pork. The pulled pork wasn't bad it just didn't taste a good as it has for the decade+ we've been getting BBQ from here. I really hope they realize all the quality issues they're having and right the ship before it's uncorrectable.

Outstanding BBQ ribs! Tender, good bark, large portion, clean dining facility (didn't use the restrooms), friendly servers-kept my drink filled. Their Hot Sauce? Outstanding!! An all around good experience! And they don't serve alcohol. I dine at places that serve beer, wine, etc. but when I find a good place like this that doesn't, I like to give them an Attaboy! If you're ever in Carthage, check it out!

This family owned business is fun to walk in and be greeted with a friendly face! The food is great too, love the loaded potatoe casserole!

I love this place!! I'm not a rib person but it's one of the only things I order here!!! You can't beat the ribs for two! I am particularly happy with how the to go orders work! Everything gets home fresh and hot!!!

I love. Boomers. The Ribs are great and the service friendly. The prices are great and you always get plenty of food. They have an excellent side dish choice also.

A decent place to get your BBQ fix. Burnt Ends are decent even though rarely available. Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Wings are all pretty good, however, I don't feel they are worth the price. All in all, if you are in the Carthage area and looking for a good BBQ place, give them a try as there aren't many options.

I've seen this place a whole bunch when going to Carthage to the maple leaf day on the square and always wondered if it was good. My daughter moved to Carthage and I took her home today and needed to get something to eat. So I went and got some. It's very good!!! The pulled pork is great, the ribs! Yummy!!! The turkey! The turkey is incredible! The smoke flavor is awesome and just really stole the show!! I'll definitely be going back!! Very excellent!!! I highly recommend it!!!

Willie & his crew flat know how to slow smoke some meat! Ribs are moist & tender...the pulled pork is great without sauce...& the sauce is great, bought bottle for home!

We were very pleased with boomers...my husband had the ribs which were meaty and tender and moist and the rub was really tasty. And not too smokey flavored. My brisket sandwich was so moist and tender it melted in my mouth...the mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy! I have had it other places where the sauce was more like a white sauce and a non entry. We ate it all and enjoyed each bite. Cant wait to go back!

Great ribs, sauce, onion rings and pulled pork. Will definitely go back to try other menu items.

This is not only my favorite BBQ place in Carthage, but my favorite restaurant. You get a lot of food for a good price, and I love their sauce.

I have eaten here several times and have ordered it for catering and Togo. All times have been a wonderful choice for BBQ!!! The only item I have had and wasn't too impressed with was the mashed potato casserole but would highly recommend the pork and coleslaw!

Just on our way to Table Rock Lake and came across this restaurant. OUTSTANDING!! Everything we ordered was fantastic. Smoked turkey, brisket, wings and chicken all cooked to perfection. If you're just passing through don't pass by this place. Great service and great food!

One star is to kind! You call this bbq. I call it something else. I use sweet baby Ray sauce at home to make hot wings, and so do they. Amazing talent. The ribs were dry, and i don't mean the rub. Yelp let me down, no blue ribbons here.
