If you're in for great bbq and an even better hang out spot. Look no further,this is it. Staff is amazing and place is great for catching up with friends. Food was awesome,if you're there, definitely try the beef ribs. Will definitely be back for more BBQ and that cheese and crackers...amazing!!

Top 5 fav places to eat, period! The food is always so flavorful and cooked well. The service is top notch. They have the best picanha and greens! Weekends they typically do brunch, they also started wing specials. Get out to Boomin ASAP!

Minnesotans simply do not know what is possible with BBQ until they try some of the latest names in the industry. This is real Texas bbq. Boomin, is that name. From the beef cheeks, wagyu sloppy, brisket and eggs in plate or sandwich form, everything is amazing. You cannot go wrong. The only mistake you can make is missing out. Get there early!

If I could give them 6 stars I would! This was the best food in the city. Can't speak on anything eles they have but the Wagyu burger. I've had burgers from all over the country because i travel for work so much but this is in my top 3 if not #1. The bread is soft almost like a croissant and blend of 5+ cheeses is a work of art in your mouth. I can't praise this burger enough. It's 1 of a kind. And the staff is amazing. Make sure you go next door to get something to wash the food down with. They have a bunch of local beers for all taste buds.

Definitely a good stop if you are in the neighborhood. We bought a brisket sandwich and a burger with potato wedges and mac and cheese. The brisket sandwich was really good, with a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. But the burger topped everything. Things to note: there is no indoor seating, so plan the weather according me. There are six picnic tables outside, and they are first come first serve. They do have umbrellas for a little bit of shade. Overall, we will be back. I will likely try the chicken sandwich next time!

Stopped by Ombibulous and finally had a chance to try out the BBQ food truck. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich and Cole slaw, wedges were included. All absolutely fantastic. Best pulled pork sandwich I've had, really nice sized portion with jalapenos. I'm stuffed! The Cole slaw was really good as well and seasoned a little different from what I expected with dill, but still really good.

The best BBQ I’ve had in Minnesota. It seems every BBQ place we try doesn’t hold a candle to BBQ in the south, but Boomin’ Barbecue is every bit as good as the southern hotspots. Everything we had was fantastic. The brisket melts in your mouth, and the lamb neck fell right off the bone. The mac and cheese is perfect — just the right amount of creamy and flavorful without being too heavy. I just wish we had ordered more to eat later! 🥺

Chefs Dylan and Gary create some of the best BBQ I have had in the Twin Cites hands down! They also serve up a killer burger which is super juicy and packed full of flavor. You can't miss their huge food trailer which is located in the parking lot of the Ombibulous liquor store. The combo makes for an easy dinner of local beer and delicious meat to take home and devour. If you're looking for BBQ in the Twin Cities don't sleep on Boomin Barbecue!

Boomin Barbecue serves up delicious BBQ plates, sandwiches, sides, and more! I stopped for lunch recently and the flavors were amazing! The Smoked Juicy Lucy was cooked to perfection and the Mac N Cheese was delicious. Excited to go back and check out the ribs on my next visit! * Smoked Juicy Lucy- Smoked and Seared, 1/2 Pound of House Ground Niman Ranch Prime Brisket, stuffed with House White Sharp American Cheddar, Topped with Garlic Dills and Aioli on a Tallow toasted Brioche Bun. * White Cheddar Mac N Cheese.

A couple of foodie buddies have RAVED about Boomin, so I've been meaning to cross the river and eat...well today one said buddy was recording his podcast @ Nova Bar Hudson, where Boomin has their residency so I opted for the special, The Knob Creek Burger!! "Smoked & Seared Burger, American Cheese, Smoked Pork Belly, Bourbon Braised Onions, Pickles, Knob Creek Aioli on a Sesame Potato Bun". I don't make this statement lightly when I say this was the BEST burger I've ever had. The pickles had a little bit of Knob Creek Aioli on them, which I don't eat pickles on my burger, so I ate them one by one before digging in to the burger. The burger? I don't know that one exists more perfect than this one!!! A couple bites in I had the thought: take half home? Rationale me? No, savor every bite and eat it all NOW!! Probably the slowest I've ever ate a burger, I didn't want to take advantage of any bite! $17 for a burger? WORTH every penny of it!! First things first, the folks here are some of the friendliest that we have ever had the pleasure to meet! Very friendly and appreciative. We also happen to be fortunate to dine here before the city of Mpls forced changes. I could go on and on about that however these folks and others alike are just trying to make a living serving food. Requiring the additional restrictions is just wrong. Ok. Enough of that. Since this was our first visit, and we anticipated the potential of changes coming due to those restrictions, we ordered enough for a few families. A full rack of pork ribs, two pound Wagyu beef rib, a pound of Picanha and mac n cheese and collard greens. Four to five pounds of meat and a couple of sides. Yep we overdid it. Our haul came out on a large tray carried by one person. Another person followed behind with our sides. We tried the Picanha first. This is our favorite cut at Fogo. The Picanha had a great smoke ring and actually tasted a lot like brisket. The texture was similar to brisket and this had a more of a beefy flavor. The pork ribs were also smoked perfectly and had a nice salt and pepper rub. The meat was perfect. Bite through and came off the bone easily, but still leaving the rest of the rib intact. Well done. Not an easy thing to do with ribs. Both sides were tasty. The greens were rich and flavorful. Maybe they could have used a bit more vinegar. The mac n cheese was rich and cheesy. Very good. The giant beef rib had great flavor. While the flavor was really good, the beef rib was a little more fatty and not quite as tender as some others that I have had. The beef rib however did have the best beef flavor. Our tray came with some sauces, pickles, pickled onions and some really good potato bread. Not just any old white bread, potato bread. There are some nice picnic tables with umbrellas right out in front. Even though we placed such a large order, there are so many other items that we would like to try. I have heard great things about their burger and they also do breakfast. Who knows that changes are going to happen by the time this review gets posted. One thing is for sure, we sure hope we have the opportunity to try some more items at Boomin BBQ.

Double at Boomin Barbecue was on point! So was the rest of their BBQ. We got some chicken and a big ole beef rib. Their potato wedges are solid too. I know they got an extension on continue to use their exterior smoker. Hopefully the rule gets officially changed and they can keep smoking these delicious meats permanently.

My wife and I were on our "Try a new restaurant" Saturday lunch. She read about this place and we wanted to try it out before the weather got crazy cold. They are not cheap. I paid $18 for a beef cheek sandwich, but I guess cows only have 2 of them, so they could be expensive to buy. The order taker was super nice and we went inside the liquor store that was adjacent to the food truck and got two IPAs. You are able to buy single cans, a solid option with a nice BBQ food truck right next to you. They are all Minnesota beers too. The beef cheek sandwich came out in about five minutes and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. It reminded me of a burnt ends sandwich. The sauce wasn't too spicy, nor too sweet. It was just delicious. The fat and meat just melded together like a Reese's peanut butter cup. Every bite was like delectable perfection. The owner came out to check on us a few times and was super friendly. This is a must try. Again. Not cheap, but you are eating at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse of BBQ food trucks if you are willing to pay for it.

Some would argue that this is the best 'cue joint in the state; it is certainly in the top five. $70.99 purchased a 1 1/4 lb. beef rib, with large sides of greens and mac 'n cheese. Dylan generously added a pork spare rib and a few rib tips so that we first time customers might sample more of the menu. The beef rib is the best that we have found outside Texas-- and better than most that we have eaten in the Lone Star state. Membrane on and tender throughout, this rib featured a heavy but tasty rub that was evenly applied (not an easy thing to do). The pork rib, also membrane on, was beautifully smoked, with a light rub that did not overpower the flavor of the meat. The tips were taken off, and tossed in a sauce of their own, to yield another tender and tasty bite. The mac 'n cheese and greens were both outstanding. We especially recommend the greens, which had a bit of kick without being overwhelmed with vinegar. This is one of the country's best greens dishes. We look forward to a return visit to have a go at Saturday's brisket.

@brianpodgorski and I snuck into @boominbbq right before they close for a month for trailer repairs. Seriously, look at the spread we got! @boominbbq is one of those special places where you can order anything on the menu and when it comes out you are overly impressed. Like you literally look twice and giggle in disbelief with what you have in front of you. But you know you are in treat. I was in a mission to try the Beef Cheek sandwich so that was the first thing I sunk my teeth into. Mustard Pickled Jalapeño, Sweet Pepper Red Sauce, on a Tallow Toasted Bun. I mean seriously....Wow! We also had a full pound of Wagyu Tri-Tip, a full pound of Wagyu Picanha, Cheddar Drop Biscuits and Tallow Fries. Pro Tip: order some Boomin Berry Hot Sauce to dunk your meat, fries or really anything in. It's fantastic and made in collaboration with @thesalsacollaborative.

This place is simply amazing. It's a truck with a local craft liquor store's parking lot. Definitely try their waygu brisket and lamb. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. If it's on the menu, it's great. Get your friends together and share bunch of those dishes, that's what we did and it was great.

Definitely one of the better BBQ spots in Minneapolis. I've had the ribs, burger and sandwiches and all were really solid. The item that steals the show is the beef cheek sandwich. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It's perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy. It is on the expensive side but it's well worth it.

Absolutely fantastic food! our group basically got one of everything and it was incredible! Highly recommend...literally everything! Chef came out to make sure everything tasted well and was very friendly!

Unfortunately, the majority of their cooking process is done with propane, and you can clearly taste it in the meat in the amount of moisture, causing the meat to look pale and discolored. Ribs usually have really poor bark and the last thing I want is a fall off the bone ribs when I can get that at Chili's. Very disappointed in my experience will NOT be going back.

AMAZING! 5/5 for sure. Staff are so friendly, helpful and the food is outstanding. Probably the best BBQ in MN.

First timer at Boomers BBQ! Here's my thoughts. A lot of the menu item was sold out, but that's what happens if u show up the last hour! I ordered the beef rib biscuit sandwich with an egg over easy on top. Overall the sand which was good it's different from other spots in a food way . The raspberry jam was a surprisingly yet perfect match to help cut the richness of the fatty rib. The over easy egg once you let it ooze on the meat hits good. My only small issue is wish the biscuit was a little moister or so some red lobster style cheddar biscuit and this thing would be awesome ! Animales might have some completion

The BBQ was quite good but a little expensive. I had a half a rack of lamb ribs and a half a rack of spareribs and a small container of coleslaw. it was $55. A little steep for me...

This is the best Texas style BBQ I've had in Minnesota by far! The juicy Lucy is outstanding and the brisket is to die for. Not only is the food phenomenal, you can tell the owners really care about what they do cause they went out of their way to come and ask what we thought of the food. It was hard to put the sandwich down when they asked that! The portion sizes they offer will make sure you will not leave hungry! If I could give it a higher rating I absolutely would. Can't wait to go there Sunday morning for their brisket breakfast sandwich! Keep on boomin

We were super excited to try this place in our continued quest for the best BBQ in Minnesota and it was so disappointing. Prices were so high for a sandwiches ($20ish) which were bland and the sides were so small, maybe a good serving for a child. We ended up throwing away the biscuits because they were dry and not worth the calories. Two stars because in sure they have great intentions and I appreciate small businesses and want to support, but also want to be helpful to patrons trying to decide between this and other BBQ places. Maybe our expectations/standards of a BBQ place are too high, IDK. We wanted to love this place but will not be returning any time soon.
